  • 현재, 대학 전산처리 시스템은 COBOL 언어에 의한 처리방식에 의존하므로 전형방법의 다변화와 일련의 교육개혁 조치의 일환인 학사행정 전산화에 대하여 효율적이지 못한 업무처리가 이루어지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 입학관리 운용에 대한 업무 처리 시간의 단축, 처리의 정확성 및 수행의 편리성을 제공하는 애플리케이션의 프로토타입을 개발하여 기존의 비능률적인 관리 및 처리를 개선하고자 한다. 전체적인 처리 기법은 서버의 오라클에 입력된 데이터에 대해 입학관리과의 정의된 양식에 따라 위도우즈 환경하에서 각종 통계자료를 출력할 수 있도록 하였다. 이 시스템이 산출하여 제시하는 통계 자료는 입학현황, 지원현황, 성별현황, 수능점수별현황, 고교별현황, 수능최초(최종)평균점 현황등 6가지 종류이다.

A Study on Improvement Methods in Mathematics by Comparing Examinations in Mathematics in the College Scholastic Ability Test at a Nationwide Level in Korea, China, America, and Japan (한, 중, 미, 일의 전국단위 대학입학시험 수학과 출제체제 비교를 통한 수리 영역 개선 방안 연구)

  • This study presents the examination system, contents, and types of items in mathematics in the examination subjects at a nationwide level that are applied to examination materials for college entrance through analyzing such system, contents, and types of problems. Based on the results of this analysis, this study draws certain issues on the contents that are to be included in large-scale national examinations used for materials for college entrance, types of items which are able to appropriately present such content, and specific issues on the examination system in order to effectively perform the examination through proper configurations in all these issues. Thus, this study will provide some basis to determine the examination system in mathematics for the College Scholastic Ability Test according to future educational curriculum.

  • Currently science and technology are changing so fast and college mathematics becomes more and more important. But the downturn of freshmen's scholastic performance has been intensified and this phenomenon leads to serious problems in managing college curriculums. During the recent years at a middle level engineering college, many freshmen had a lot of difficulties in their mathematics courses. In consequence, many of them had hard time to survive at their major curriculums. In this point of view, we analyse the situation of mathematical scholastic ability among engineering majored freshmen through the research on the actual state of mathematical background, mathematical scholastic ability test, college mathematics scores, and scholastic aptitude test scores. We study the relation between the mathematics score of scholastic aptitude test for the college entrance and mathematical scholastic ability of freshmen of a middle level engineering college. From this study we conclude that the essential reasons for the above situations are the curriculum of middle school mathematics and the system of scholastic aptitude test and the entrance examination of university. In order for improving mathematical accomplishment. we give suggestions such as a learning ability improvement program in mathematics.

A Study on the Academic Dropout of College Students (대학생의 중도탈락에 관한 연구(D대학 중심))

  • This study analyzed the status and causes for the dropouts of college based on the survey conducted among 14,210 freshmen attending D College, other than the supernumerary special selection, from 2001 through 2005. A significant difference was shown in all items of general characteristics. The dropout rate of women, generally selected and general highschool graduated were higher than for men, specially selected and special high school graduated, respectively. The most dropouts were due to Not Return(40.16%), followed by Unenrolled(32.98%), Voluntary Leave(26.05%) and Expelled(0.81%) in order. In the distribution of the central tendency values measured from the entire subjects, the high school records and the days of absence showed a positive skewness, while the college records showed a negative skewness with the data mostly around a higher grade. The standard deviation indicating that the dropouts got the scores higher than those of the continuing students demonstrated that there was relatively insignificant difference in scores between two groups. It was demonstrated that both the high school records and the days of absence affected the dropout. The lower the high school records were, and the more the days of absence were, the more influence both items had on the dropout. The influence degree of each item was similar. Lower the scores were in terms other than the first term in the freshmen year, the more influence it had on the dropout. The most dropouts were influenced by the scores of the freshmen year, followed by the credits of the second term, the scores of the first term, the scores of the second term, and the credits of the first term in the freshmen year. Among the general characteristic items, the most dropouts were influenced by the course of study, followed by the gender. The effect of other items was insignificant.

An analysis of errors in understanding the fundamental concepts of function and differentiation for matriculants (대학 입학 예정자들의 함수 및 미분의 기초개념 이해에 대한 오류 분석)

  • The purpose of this paper is to discover effective teaching and learning methods for improving low level mathematic matriculants', who passed the early decision program, problem solving abilities by analyzing their error patterns in the special lecture for basic mathematics in P University. In this paper, we examine the matriculants' understanding and errors on the fundamental concepts of function, and continuity and differentiability of function based on the pre-examination. We also measure the their academic achievement in the special lecture for basic mathematics, and analyze the differences of error patterns between pre-test and post-test result on the concepts of continuity and differentiability of function.

  • 대학이 신입생을 선발하는 기준은 해당전공을 공부하는데 적합한 지원자를 선발하는 것이며, 해당모집단위에 많이 지원하게 하여 신입생 충원을 용이하게 하는 것 등이다. 대학은 입학전형을 거쳐서 신입생을 선발하게 되며, 선발기준으로 전형요소를 활용하게 된다. 전형요소 활용방법은 신입생 선발에 영향을 주기 때문에 전략적으로 중요하다. 2005학년도 신입생 선발에는 고등학교 7차 교육과정을 이수한 지원자들이 지원하게 되므로 전형요소에 있어서 변화가 있다. 대학입학수학능력 시험의 체제는 수험생들이 영역이나 과목을 선택하여 응시하는 방향으로 변화한다. 즉, 수리 영역을 가형 및 나형으로 응시하고, 하나의 탐구영역을 응시하되 사회탐구영역 및 과학탐구영역은 4과목 이내에서 선택하여 응시한다. 또한 수학능력시험의 성적표는 각 영역별 및 과목별 표준점수, 백분위점수 및 등급을 표시하여 통지한다. 본 연구는 변화된 수학능력시험의 체제와 고등학교 교육과정을 어떠한 방법으로 반영하여 학생을 선발하는 것이 바람직한가에 대한 전략을 도출하는 틀을 제시하고, 각 전형요소 활용의 대안과 문제점을 도출하고자 한다. 2005 수능시험 결과는 표준점수로 통지하기 때문에 만점 개념을 적용하기 어렵고, 표준점수를 전형요소로 활용할 때 전형총점 개념을 도입하기 어렵다. 또한 복수영역 및 과목의 선택에서 유리함과 불리함이 나타나게 된다. 과거의 수능시험결과를 분석하여 전형총점개념 도입의 방법과 불리함을 보정하여 주는 방법을 제시하고, 신입생을 선발하는 목적에 적합한 전형요소 결정전략을 도출하고자 한다.2; Learning Decisions, 2001) 연구모형을 설정하고 이를 근거로 실증연구를 수행 중에 있다.7.2 $e^{0.101}$x/, y = 70.01 $e^{0.030}$x/, 반감기는 12.0, 6.86, 23.0 일이고 폐장, 간장, 신장의 회복기간(x)별 크롬농도(y)의 소실속도 상관계수 (노출농도 0.50 mg/㎥군의 경우)는 y = 1808 $e^{0.004}$93x/, y = 12.02 $e^{0.029}$7x/, y = 67.61 $e^{0.029}$2x/ 반감기는 140.6, 23.3, 23.7 일로 평가되었다. 4. 고찰 : 실험동물의 전혈, 혈청, 뇨에서의 크롬농도와 시험물질 노출농도는 밀접한 상관을 가졌으나 농도에 정비례하지는 않았다. 뇨 중 흡수된 크롬의 경우 회복기간 초기 (12시간 내)에 대부분 배설이 일어나는 것으로 나타났다. 폐장이 간장, 신장 등 다른 장기에 비해 높은 축적량을 보였으며 축적된 크롬농도가 높을수록 크롬의 소실속도는 현저히 저하하는 경향을 보였다. 노출농도가 높을수록 각 장기조직 내 크롬의 소실속도 (clearance)는 크게 감소경향이 있었으며 이는 체내 과부하시 자정작용이 감소하는 것으로 판단되었다. 본 연구 결과 SD rat를 이용 반복흡입노출의 경우 생체의 무유해영향농도 (NOAEL)는 0.2mg/㎥이하이며 발암물질을 감안하여 안전계수를 100으로 할 경우 사람에 대한 NOAEL은 0.002mg/㎥이하로 판단되

Curriculum development for education and training of admissions officer - J university case (입학사정관 교육훈련을 위한 교육과정 개발 - J대학 사례연구)

  • The role of admissions officers is to evaluate the overall qualification of applicants, which consists of various qualitative and subjective metrics The core requirement of admissions officers is not only assessment of students' qualification based on the application but also verification of the data stem from the various sources. The issue for fairness on selection is the crucial agenda for the whole process of university entrance. The educational program aimed on the enhancement the expertise of admissions officers is required to guarantee the fair selection of whole evaluation process. In this paper we developed educational training program for admissions officers of J university. The 9 core dimensions of curriculum is presented to train admissions officers and the stepwise requirements of achieving each subject's goal are defined.

A Study on High School-College Articulation according to the Results of Awareness Survey (인식조사를 기반으로 한 고교-대학 연계 방안 모색)

  • The purpose of this study was to make an empirical analysis of the influence of the participation of students in high school-college articulation programs during their high school days on their career or college entrance in an effort to explore how to ensure successful high school-college articulation to facilitate the normalization of public education. The subjects in this study were 371 students in a college and 62 high school teachers. After a survey was conducted, the following findings were given: As for the participation rate of high school-college articulation programs, the largest number of the students attended "college entrance presentations," and the second most popular programs were about major/career exploration. The participation rate of the girls was higher than that of the boys. As a result of comparing the impact of these programs on college entrance by different types of admission process, "college entrance counseling programs" exercised a larger influence on college entrance through the admission officer system. The teachers responded that "major/career exploration" was the high school-college articulation program which had the best effects on the normalization high school education and college admission. The findings of the study imply that it can make it possible to expedite the normalization of public education if diverse efforts are directed into high school-college articulation and its improvement.

실업계 실용수학에 따른 직업학생 대학수학 교육과정 재구성이 학습자에 미치는 영향

  • 실업계고교 졸업 후 대입수능시험을 치르지 않고 산업체 특별전형으로 입학한 야간 공과대학 직업학생들의 실업계고교 수학교과서인 "실업계 실용수학"과 인문계고교 수학교과과정을 비교하여, 직업 학생들의 고교과정 선수학습상태를 분석하고, 이를 토대로 야간대학 직업학생들의 수준에 맞는 대학수학 교육과정을 재구성하여, 이들 수준에 적합한 수학교육과정 재구성이 대학 미분적분학 학습에 미치는 영향을 분석하고, 이를 통한 공과대학 전문교육을 잘 소화해 낼 수 있도록 야간 직업학생들의 수학교육을 강화시키고자 한다.

A Study on Values and College Adjustment: the Case of C University (대학생들의 가치관과 대학생활 적응에 관한 연구: C 대학 사례를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this research is to examine the factors correlated with adjustment to collage life of students such as their academic achievement and college life satisfaction. This research focuses on the relationship between values and college life satisfaction based on perspectives that individual values have close affinity with life satisfaction. For analyses, we used 5-years of information of college admission and GPAs of all students, and survey data of 671 students of C university. The results are as follows; 1) academic achievement is the highest among those with comprehensive school report admission-within the enrollment quota, 2) college life satisfaction is pertaining to specific values such as belief in justice, cooperation, and trust, 3) college life satisfaction is related with the satisfaction of overall educational environment. The results emphasize the importance of education of public values to enhance adjustment to college life of students.
