The purpose of this study is to develop and propose a tool for accurately diagnosing factors influencing academic activities in Christian University. The first, the evaluation area is composed of factors that influence the academic life of students. Then, by developing a tool to diagnose the status in that areas, it is intended to provide a basis for providing appropriate help for students to adjust to university life. This tool composed items through prior research and developed a draft of tool through Delphi research. The draft tool was verified for reliability and validity by analyzing the response values of 182 freshmen at K University. As a result of the analysis, the reliability showed high reliability of .869~.955 for each diagnosis area. In conclusion, through the results of EFA and CFA, a final diagnostic tool was developed and suggested.

Results: The main results of this study are as follows: First, left-behind adolescents' social support is influenced directly on school adaptation and indirectly through ego-resilience. Second, the left-behind adolescents with higher ego-resilience showed higher school adjustment. Although the globally known one-child policy in China was abolished in 2016, the overall fertility rate in the country declined to 1.3 in 2020. In this study, we examined whether the achievement of major developmental tasks during the childrearing stage was associated with intentions to have a second child among Chinese married women. Based on family development theory, we included parenting adaptation, division of childcare responsibilities with the partner, and marital adjustment as key developmental tasks during the childrearing stage. The participants of this study were 315 married Chinese women who lived with a spouse and a child who had not yet entered elementary school. Data were collected through an online survey in February and March 2021. A multiple regression analysis of the data revealed that a lower level of economic parenting stress, a higher level of fairness in dividing childcare responsibilities with the partner, and a more positive change in their marital relationship after having the first child were associated with greater intentions to have a second child.

Dormitories of Korean university are planned to pursue qualitative growth after a period of quantitative growth in the 1970s. However, since the 1990s, the physical plan for qualitative growth has not changed significantly and the effects of these changes on dormitory residents has not been verified. The purpose of this study is to identify the environmental factors influencing dormitory life adaptation and to provide a basis for qualitative growth of university dormitories to help dormitory residents adapt to the environment. The research was conducted in three stages. First, the elements of the residential environment of the dormitory complex, which is an independent variable, were derived. The dormitory life adaptation scale was developed to measure the dependent variable. Secondly, a questionnaire survey was conducted to obtain the environmental factors of current dormitory and previous residence and three elements of dormitory life adaptation; 'acceptance of change', 'familiarity', and 'anxiety'. Third, statistical analysis was conducted to determine whether each factor influenced dormitory life adaptation.

The purpose of this study was to examine the mediating effect of community child center service experience on the relationship between peer attachment and school adjustment. For the analysis, data from the 2nd Panel of Community Child Center(2017) were used. Frequency analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis were conducted using IBM SPSS Statistics 20 program. As a result, peer attachment(peer trust) has a positive effect on their center experience and school adjustment, and the center experience has a partial mediating effect on the relationship between peer attachment and school adjustment. The relationship with a center teacher and the center service evaluation of the children who use community child center are important factors that affect their school adjustment. Therefore measures should be taken to improve the quality of the community child center programs and its teachers.
The purpose of this study is to understand the meaning and essence of aged life, which Korean elderly experience in real life and restructure them in the context of time and culture. In order to do so an in-depth interview was done with 15 elderlies over the age of 60 living in Hwaseong City, an urban-rural composite area in Gyeonggi Province where diverse elderlies could be found. In result, first, Korean elderly's understanding of aged life had physical, familial, economical, leisure, and social restoration aspects. Second, it was found that the degree of understanding about preparation for aging and preparedness is quite low. Third, as the gap between actual preparation for aging and aged life that elderly dreamed of became wider 'resentment on children', 'denial of reality', 'physical and economical change', and 'experience from prolongation of life-cycle' was found. Based on such results following suggestions could be made. First, the awareness of aged life and preparation for aging should be strengthened and there is a need for diverse educations aiming successful aged life. Second, elderly welfare policy and practical intervention with an integrated perspective based on the realm of life-cycle are demanded. Third, there is a need to strengthen the Aged Income Maintenance System for existing elder generation. Fourth, an intervention about adaptation and coping means of life event is needed. Lastly, there is a need to expand and carry out the aged life planning program for future elder generation.
In recent years, human is experiencing an 'untact' era that has not been existed before. A remarkable features of an untact era is a limited or no interaction with other people and things in a daily life. In order to overcome this special situation, diverse state-of-the-art technologies like ICT technology are being used to give the effect of face-to-face and contact. In particular, Virtual Reality technology allows users to actively interact with virtual environments, objects, and other people, thereby providing effects that are as similar as possible to experience in real life. School freshmen are also experiencing various inconveniences because they are not experiencing the environment or academic management of newly admitted schools in the untact era. This research is a study and implementation of 'Virtual School Life Experience Content' which provides new students to tour campus, to utilize the school buildings facilities, to experience of academic schedules including course registration, and to participate in school events in an environment that is as close as possible to the real campus. Freshmen will be able to easily adapt to a new school through the implemented VR content.
The goal of this study was to examine the relationship among students' personal variables(Korean language abilities, self-efficacy, student-teacher attachment relationships), teacher variable(perceptions of multi-cultural education) affecting on multi-cultural students' school adjustment. Structural equation modeling was performed to test the mediating role of self-efficacy and student-teacher attachment affecting multi-cultural students' school adjustment. 336 elementary students and their matching 264 elementary school teachers were participated for this study. The model fit for this study model was acceptable, =280.024, df=98, CFI=.930, RMSEA = .074. The results revealed that teacher's perceptions on multi-cultural education significantly related with student-teacher relationships. However, Korean language ability did not directly affect the school adjustment for multi-cultural background students. That is, self-efficacy and student-teacher relationships mediated between Korean language ability and school adjustment. Moreover student-teacher relationships seem to be the key mediating factor between other research variables and school adjustment. Further considerations and future directions based on results were discussed.
