Resilience to Burnout and Work Satisfaction of Hospice Volunteers (호스피스자원봉사자의 소진탄력성과 활동만족도)

  • The purpose of this study was to assess the level of resilience to burnout and work satisfaction of hospice volunteers. Methods: Participants included 235 regular volunteers at hospice facilities of two university hospitals and four general hospitals located in Busan. The study instruments were the scale of resilience to burnout and work satisfaction. The scale of resilience to burnout consisted of six dimensions (professional competency, accomplishment and worthiness, firm belief and value about their profession, good teamwork, support by their agency, and individual resources) and 31 items which were rated on a 5-point Likert scale, whereas the scale of work satisfaction consisted of 6 items which were rated on a 5-point Likert scale. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Tukey and Pearson's correlation coefficient. Results: The mean score of resilience to burnout and work satisfaction of participants were 3.59 and 3.69, respectively. The highest and lowest scores of resilience to burnout were individual resources (3.81) and accomplishment and worthiness (3.36). There were significant differences in resilience to burnout scores, depending on religion, health status, type of hospice facilities, and period of volunteer experience. There were significant differences in work satisfaction scores, depending on gender, religion, education level, health status, and type of hospice facilities. Conclusions: Continuous education and efficient management need to be developed to improve the level of resilience to burnout and work satisfaction of hospice volunteers.

A Study on Determinants of Job Satisfaction Among the Old Workers Living Alone: Focused on Gender and Age (노동시장 참여 고령 1인가구의 직무만족 결정요인에 관한 연구 : 성별과 연령을 중심으로)

  • There are not many studies on job satisfaction among older workers living alone. This study examined the determinants of job satisfaction for older workers living alone, and the job satisfaction was analyzed by the demographic-social factors, the health-psychological factors, and labor factors regarding to sex and ages. Korean Labor and Income Panel Study(KLIPS, 18th) used in this study, and the subjects were 308 older worker living alone and over 55 years old. The determinants of job satisfaction for male respondents were happiness, organizational commitment, and duration of work. Howver, the determinants of job satisfaction for female respondents were age, happiness, organizational commitment, and levels of skill. Income, organizational commitment, employment stability, and duration of work were the determinants for 55-64 years old. Education, organizational commitment, and levels of skill were the determinants for 65-74 years old. Education and happiness were the determinants for 75 years old and over. Age, income, happiness, organizational commitment, employment stability, duration of work, and levels of skill were the determinants of job satisfaction for all respondents. Finally, this study proposed the policy and practical implications for improving of job satisfaction among older workers living alone.

An Empirical Study of Factors Affecting Entrepreneurship Education (단기 창업교육프로그램 교육성과 영향요인에 관한 연구)

  • 본 연구에서는 지방자치단체에서 실시하고 있는 단기 창업교육프로그램 참가자들의 학습동기와 창업의지, 교육 만족도, 자기 유능감이 창업교육성과에 미치는 영향을 문헌적으로 고찰하였으며, 설정된 연구가설의 검증을 위하여 서울시와 인천시가 주관하는 단기 창업교육프로그램 참가자들을 대상으로 실증적 분석을 실시하였다. 실증 분석 결과를 요약하면, 첫째 단기 창업교육프로그램 참가자의 학습참여 동기는 교육만족도와 자기유능감에 정(+)의 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 단기 창업교육프로그램 참가자의 창업의지는 교육만족도에 정(+)의 영향을 미쳤다. 셋째, 참가자의 교육 만족도는 자기유능감에 정(+)의 영향을 미쳤다. 넷째, 학습자의 만족도와 자기유능감은 교육성과에 정(+)의 영향을 미쳤다. 연구 결과를 종합해보면 지방자치단체의 단기 창업교육프로그램 참가자의 학습 참여 동기와 창업의지가 높을수록 창업에 대한 다양한 지식과 기술 습득을 의미하는 자기 유능감과 만족도가 높아지며, 아울러 단기 창업교육프로그램에 대한 학습자의 교육성과 또한 높게 나타났다. 본 연구가 시사하는 바는 최근 들어 증가하고 있는 지방자치단체의 단기 창업교육프로그램이, 비교적 장기간에 걸쳐 진행되는 정규교육기관의 창업교육과는 달리, 짧은 기간 내에 효과적인 창업교육 성과를 달성하기 위해서는 교육 참가자들의 학습동기 및 창업의지 등 개인적 특성을 사전에 충분히 파악하여 적합한 대상자를 선발하여야 하며, 교육내용에 대한 만족도 제고를 통해 예비 창업자들이 스스로 다양한 창업관련 지식과 기술 등에 관한 자기 유능감을 향상시키는 데 주안점을 두어야 한다는 점이다.

The Influence of Disability Acceptance for People of Disability on the Life Satisfaction : Focusing on the Mediating Effect of Self-efficacy (장애인의 장애수용이 생활 만족도에 미치는 영향 : 자기효능감의 매개효과 중심으로)

  • This study is to find ways to improve the life satisfaction of people of disability through disability acceptance and self-efficacy. 1,505 out of 4,400 of Penal Survey of Employment for the Disabled 2nd Wave were applied for the study. Regression analysis, descriptive statistics and correlation analysis by SPSS 23.0 were applied. The study show that the disability acceptance had a positive effect on self-efficacy and life satisfaction. Self-efficacy influenced positive effect to life satisfaction and played a mediating role between disability acceptance and life satisfaction. Base on the result, this study made suggestions for necessity to operate rehabilitation and Psychological cognition integral programs and to find and attend the various programs for people of disability.

An Exploratory Study on Institutional Commitment of C-University Students (C대학교 대학생의 대학 몰입에 관한 탐색적 논의)

  • The purpose of this study is to pave the way to promote the institutional commitment of the students enrolled by identifying the factors that affects on their institutional commitment. The data collection was conducted starting from November 19, 2020 until November 26, 2020 by using online questionnaires and 220 participants were from C-university students in Chang-won, Kyung-nam Province. As a result of analysis, the average score for institutional commitment was 3.30, the average level of satisfaction of university life was 3.62, the cultural climate was 3.39 and the level of satisfaction for extracurricular program was 3.48, which was in high range. Institutional commitment has a positive correlation between the level of satisfaction of university life, the level of satisfaction for extracurricular programs(p<.001). The most critical factor that affects the institutional commitment was the level of satisfaction of university life and the level of satisfaction for extracurricular programs, the cultural climate in order. The result can be interpreted that institutional commitment is influenced by students' major and the level of satisfaction of university life and the level of satisfaction for extracurricular programs, and the level of satisfaction of university life has relatively high level of influence out of other factors, indicating that the effort to improve the institutional commitment of the students is needed at the collegiate level.

The Search of Causality between Life Satisfaction and Domain Satisfactions: Analysis through Autoregressive Crosslagged Model (전반적 삶의 만족도와 영역특정적 삶의 만족도 간 인과관계의 탐색)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the causality between life satisfaction and domain satisfactions. For this study, data were collected from 207 respondents. They completed World Health Organization Quality of Life Assessment Instrument - Brief (WHOQOL-BREF) which is self-report questionnaire asking about life satisfaction and domain satisfactions. For data analysis, the verification procedure by autoregressive crosslagged modeling of structural equation was used. The analysis results of measures showed the causal relation between the two variables, that is, domain satisfactions acted as cause of life satisfaction. There were discussions on the issues about the analysis method of the autoregressive crosslagged modeling, the implications of the results, and the limits of the research. This study ascertained the intervention direction between life satisfaction and domain satisfactions to promote life satisfaction.

Analysis of the positive word-of-mouth, Quality of medical service and customer satisfaction of patients in dental clinics (치과의원 내원환자들의 긍정적 구전과 치과 의료서비스 품질 및 고객만족도 분석)

  • Dental health care in modern society has gradually been developing with patients'expectation, desire, and medical knowledge according to the changes in the medical industry. Dental marketing strategy is necessary to construct a better dental health environment in order to cope with customers' changes and desire. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the positive comments by word-of-mouth experience, quality of dental clinic service and customer satisfaction among dental patients. The study surveyed 5oo subjects being treated at 6 dental clinics in Seoul and Gyeonggi province. It was conducted from March 22 to April 9, 2010. The subject groups with a positive experience through word - of - mouth who had a perception about the quality of dental clinic service (p<.001) and customer satisfaction (p<.001) were higher than other groups who had no comments on their dental treatment and clinics. The results showed that there was a correlation(r=. 852, p<.001) between the positive comments by word-of- mouthabout the quality of dental clinics service and customer satisfaction. The perception of dental clinic service and patients' satisfaction with positive comments by word of mouth was highly recognized by older and more experienced patients of dental treatment. Therefore, the results suggest that empirical information on important factors about strategic marketing lead to positive comments by word of mouth experience for patients in dental clinics.

Relationship of Communication Skill, Depression, and Clinical Practice Stress of Nursing Students (간호대학생의 의사소통능력, 우울 및 임상실습 스트레스와의 관계)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the relationship between depression and communication skills and clinical practice stress among college nursing students. This study targeted 208 nursing college seniors in B city who have experience in clinical practice. Data were collected from September 1-30 2017 and were analyzed using descriptive analyses, t-tests, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation, and Stepwise multiple regression with the SPSS WIN 21.0 program. The average score of communication skills was 3.73, the score of depression was 2.36, and the score of clinical practice stress was 2.88. Significant differences were found in clinical practice stress depending on gender (p=0.002), age (p=0.048), grade (p=0.001), satisfaction with college life (p<0.001), satisfaction with major (p=0.002), desired course (p=0.002), and satisfaction with clinical practice (p<0.001). Clinical practice stress was negatively related to communication skills (r=-0.17, p=0.016) and positively related to depression (r=0.37, p<0.001). Depression, satisfaction with clinical practice, grade, sex and religion had a high explanation rate of 26.9%, indicating that they were meaningful variables that influenced clinical practice stress. Overall, to decrease clinical practice stress among nursing students, it is necessary to develop an intervention program that can prevent and mitigate depression and improve communication skills.

Influence of Clinical practice stress and Stress coping type on Self-leadership of Nursing students (간호대학생의 임상실습스트레스와 스트레스 대처방식이 셀프리더십에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was conducted to identify the influence of clinical practice stress and the stress coping type on the self-leadership of nursing students. The subjects were 122 nursing students in B city and the data were collected from May 6 to May 13, 2015. The data were analyzed by means of the t-test, ANOVA, Scheff's test, Pearson's correlation coefficients and Stepwise multiple regression. Significant differences were found in the self-leadership by health status (p<.001), interpersonal relationships (p=.001), satisfaction with nursing major (p<.001) and satisfaction with clinical practice (p=.002). Self-leadership was negatively related to clinical practice stress (p=.028) and positively related to stress coping style (p<.001). The meaningful variables which influenced self-leadership were the health status, stress coping type and satisfaction with nursing major. The total explanatory power was 28.1% and the health status was the most influential factor. Therefore, in order to enhance the self-leadership of nursing students, it is necessary for them to maintain a good health condition and to have an effective stress coping type. In addition, methods are needed to increase the satisfaction of nursing major students.

  • "Customer satisfaction"has been investigated in all the fields of public administrative offices including public libraries by the Seoul Metropolitan Government. This study analyzed on the results of the survey which was implemented by the Government and raised several problems. These are 1) emphasizing physical environmental matters such as facilities and equipments in the questionnaire 2) doing sampling errors such as selection of the large portion of study room users and avoidance of adult users 3) finding halo effects in responses.responses.
