세계 유일 책을 위한 도시이자 생태·예술이 어우러진 파주출판도시를 통해 우리가 살고 있는 도시의 의미와 가치를 돌아보고 새로운 미래를 그리는 도시·건축 다큐멘터리가 4월 21일 개봉한다. 제46회 서울독립영화제, 제12회 서울국제건축영화제 공식 초청작이자 제12회 DMZ국제다큐멘터리영화제 예술공헌상을 수상한 영화 <위대한 계약: 파주, 책, 도시> 얘기다. 이 다큐를 만든 기린그림의 김종신·정다운 감독은 앞서 <한국 현대건축의 오늘(2016)>, <한국 현대건축의 오늘: 집(2017)>과 <이타미 준의 바다(2019)>를 통해 건축과 삶, 예술혼을 영상으로 복원해 내며 관객들의 눈길을 사로잡은 바 있다. <이타미 준의 바다>는 프리 프로덕션부터 개봉까지 꼬박 8년이 걸린 작품이다. 경기 파주시 문발동 소재 국가문화산업단지인 파주출판도시는 민주화 이전 출판이 탄압받던 시절부터 출판인들이 꿈꾸던 책을 위한 도시다. 출판사들과 더불어 새로운 철학과 가치를 담은 이상적 공간, 즉 새로운 도시를 그리던 건축사들이 '위대한 계약'을 체결하면서 실현됐다. 아무도 관심 갖지 않았던 파주의 늪지는 특색 있는 건축물과 만나 심학산과 한강의 탁월한 낙조 경관을 자랑하며 세계에서 유일한, 책을 위한 생태도시가 됐다. 편집·인쇄·유통 출판 관련 인프라를 집약한 도시는 이후 영화제작사를 비롯한 영상 관련 업체들과 IT 업체들이 입주하며 종합문화예술 도시로 탈바꿈한다. 2019년 파주출판도시 기획 30주년을 기념해 도시의 발자취를 담기 위해 시작된 영화는 과거와 현재라는 두 개의 큰 축에서 진행되며 찬란한 도시의 여정을 그린다. 그러면서 건축을 넘어 우리가 살고 있는 도시를 생각해 보게 만든다.

The Soviet Silent Films in the 1920s, produced a brilliant prosperity in the history of world films in the cultural and artistic aspects. Among them, Dziga Vertov was a film theorists and a practitioner along with Sergei M. Einstein played a pivotal role in the contemporary soviet films at the time. But the film theories of Vetro is incorrectly recognized or specialized compared to the theories of Eisenstein. But Deleuze has stated that the short in the movie of Vertov is able to deliver a meaning and an impact and he has emphasized that a short can be significant by itself by focusing on the 'truth' which a documentary must have. His film theories are based on futurism and constructivism and use the 'kino-eye' method and 'Interval' theory to summarize and organize his movies into 'movie-truth' principal and 'life as itself' concept. Deleuze the purpose of this research is to analyze with the Vertov core of film theory and every theory of kino eye as the foundation and by comparing the Montage Theory of Sergei Eisenstein and applying Deleuze's Image Theory. Furthermore, it can be insufficient to discuss the film commercial achievements of Vertov as a result of inadequacy of previous research but it will further study his innovative methods and depth of his theories in his representation form in the documentary films.

is a VR short documentary based on a real case of a Korean female sex worker Yoon Geum-yi who was killed by the US military in 1992. This study examines the mix of the first person point of view and the application of the second cadre added in the implicit frame shown in . With the development of VR technology and deepening the understanding of Virtual Cinematography, storytelling of VR films will also become diverse and interesting.

This thesis discussed the status of women workers as wage laborers and home laborers and the valid of a documentary movie for representing women laborers through a documentary movie, Weabak that revolved around Home-ever occupation strike leaded E-Land labor union at 30th June, 2007. Jobs for women labors got covered by the flow of flexibility with the policy of labor flexibility in South Korea during 1990s. The reasons that justify this trend are their position in the households, and their roles in working places are not very important because there are not required difficult skills. The mass dismissal which caused the E-Land strike also shared these ideologies. In Weabak, since women laborers were always expected to care for their family, they were need strikes in their home as well as their working place. However, a household is a basement for them to get the identity as a women laborer. It has two ambivalent meanings, as a protected area and disorder for them to pursue their life at the same time. Identity of Women laborers, domestic laborers as well as wage laborers, are very difficult to identify as a general noun, a laborer. Weabak is an important example to show us the possibility of a documentary as searching new realism for representing women laborers' story using their own perspective.

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of creativity education on creativity of college students through educational medium such as film, animation, documentary, cartoon, advertisement, etc. Therefore, D university in Busan Metropolitan City held a 15-week creativity program for team college students in the second semester of 2016 "creative convergence". In this study, the data collected by the pre - test and post - test using the creativity questionnaire were analyzed by SPSS 18.0 program. The results of this study are as follows. First, the creativity of college students showed a significant difference in problem solving ability scores in the curriculum for media literacy. Second, the creativity of university students showed a significant difference in creative tendency score in media literacy curriculum. The fact that various media such as movies, animations, documentaries, cartoons, advertisements, etc. are educational media that can be easily accessed in everyday life, suggests that the improvement of creativity suggests educational effects to college students and future students.

'42nd Broadway' is one of the most authentic, genuine and renowned musical pieces among the numerous musicals. By approaching every element in the Backstage from the perspective of an actor who is apart of the show, not a professional photographer, rather than an the usual objects on the Front Stage which is imprinted in the minds of the ordinary people through the media or the numerous flyers sent from the theaters, intented to describe the life as it is in the Back Stage by examining various elements such as the sets or make-up rooms, rather than the momentary, technically staged imageries. In the industrial aspect as well, the implication of this documentary would be that a more realistic set of photography was provided instead of the existing ones that usually focused on the'staged,' or 'guarded' images of the musical as shown in the promotional materials or the Front Stage still cuts.

The film born by Lumiere brothers in 1895 was not the first. Edison, who invented the Kinetograph four years ago, has already made dozens of films. But it has been relatively undervalued. That's because the platform for projecting a movie was through a single person viewer called Kinetoscope. However, the physical characteristics of the film itself are the same as those of modern films, and have a unique aesthetic distinction compared to other early films. The subject is entertainment-oriented, and the image is characterized by contrast effect. In addition, even before the birth of the film, it shows the important creative elements and genres pursued by fictional films, and has industrial production systems and experts. If Lumiere's film is the beginning of a documentary film that portrays the fact, Edison's film deserves historical value as the beginning of popular film, which is the hallmark of modern cinema.

This article reviews the film acting studies of Kracauer presenting the basic approach of traditional film theory. It is to provide a foundation for film acting theory in order to activate the domestic acting studies. While Kracauer explaines the difference between traditional stage actor and film actor in 'Remarks on the Actor' of Theory of Film(1960), he suggests the characteristics of the cinema acting and its media technical meanings. He emphasizes the acting forms presenting the postwar new realism in his film acting studies. His approach takes the perspective of 'physical reality' or 'camera reality' which is the basic premise of film theory. Kracauer insists the naturalness of the actors, listing the features of professional actors, non-professional actors and Hollywood stars as they are a familiar classification for the types of actors. He does not prefer the Hollywood stars, whether it is fiction or documentary, professional or non-professional actors, but he emphasizes negative acting, the ability to express words by doing nothing, based on indeterminacy or indefiniteness of the film. Kracauer's film acting studies has affected later film theory and media-related acting, and has become the principles of cinema textbook and acting.

In order to attain 'reality', technology, style and narrative have developed throughout the history of cinema. The projection of digital image necessitated a new perspective beyond the conventional relationship between film and reality. In the SF film, DISTRICT 9, strong realism elements are evident despite its genre. Advanced technologies enabled the digital images to vividly reproduce the realm of imagination. The encounter of the realistic approaches embedded in the style and narrative with the digital images emphasizes the social context of the cinematic background, as well as extending the potentialities of verisimilitude and perceptual realism. The amount of freedom in editing process derived from this film's documentary-like style opened a possibility for the effective delivery of the vast information-furthermore contributing to the realism of the film by encompassing the diversity that exists in the reality.
