A Study on User Satisfaction in u-IT New Technology Verification Projects Focused on Domestic RFID/USN Pilot Projects (u-IT 신기술 검증프로젝트의 대한 사용자 만족도에 대한 연구)

  • Since 2004, the Korean government has been engaged in u-IT new technology verification projects in an effort to level up the industries. Recently, cases are reported that RFID/USN technology has been adopted and applied to business processes, mainly by large enterprises. However, further policies and support for the industries have been restrained because of unavailability of essential data for policy making. Therefore, the study examined the level of satisfaction among the actual recipient organizations from the 27 pilot projects to draw implications from the study result. Accordingly, the level of satisfaction was assessed in four project phases from RFID/USN building, utilization (technical quality), utilization (business quality), to maintenance. The study result showed that the technical stability reached a significant level but the level of satisfaction in the maintenance phase for the utilization and proliferation of the technology remained at the lowest. It suggested that a more specified policy support is needed in the maintenance phase to include inexpensive supply of tags and devices, a maintenance establishment of consortium to maintain reliability and continuity of service, strengthening internal competence of the beneficiary organizations for utilization of RFID/USN.

  • Recently, IoT has been supported by ICT technology with a variety of ICT powers. In May 2014, Information and Communication Strategy Committee announced the 'Basic plan for Internet of Things'. Also on Febuary 24 this SAME year, KISA(Korea Internet&Security Agency) provides many projects related to IoT, such as announcement of 'K-Global Project' for start-up and venture support related to IoT and ICT companies. In contrast to the various services of Internet of Things, when a connection is made between object-to-object or person-to-object wired and wireless networks, security threats have occurred in the process of communication. We analyzed these kinds of security threats related to Internet of things, and gave a consideration for requirement.

  • As the cost of installing and maintaining software on large organizations such as recent companies and schools has increased, software installation and maintenance costs are low, system management is easy, demand for ease of use software solutions has increased. In the reality that special education for service center engineers is required along with the release of various products, training of the software and solution industry is regarded as important. Building Web-based user and system interactive environment, strengthened usability and educational ability effect suitable for engineer level. In the future, research that is familiar with specific software, not successfully combining multiple frameworks, rather than developers, will be increasingly important for research that can achieve optimal performance.

Software Size Measurement from Information Strategy Planning With the Function Point Method (정보전략계획 단계에서의 정보시스템 규모 예측:기능점수모형을 중심으로)

  • Many companies and governments perform information technology (IT) projections repeatedly for higher competitiveness and efficiency. Moreover, as the sizes of IT projects increase, the manpower and cost estimation of the projects are getting more important. In this research, we present a size estimation method of information system development projects on the basis of the function point method at the stage of information strategy planning(ISP), and illustrate the size calculation of an example IT project. According to the method, we first identify the types of projects, the scope and boundaries of size estimation, then count data and transaction functions from the artifacts of the ISP project. The unadjusted function points are adjusted to function point by the table of the Early Function Point. The way of calculating the sizes of IT projects will support successful IT projects by estimating reasonable manpower and cost for the projects.

  • The recent development of engineering design education has brought enormous influence in many engineering educations. But, most studies in this area have focused only on the system or curriculum development rather than on the effect of the program to the real situation, the transfer. The purpose of this study is to identify the effects of learning and learning transfer in engineering design program at the university level. Transfer is defined as the use of trained knowledge and skill back on the job. The results of the study are as follows. First, learner characteristics and curriculum design had a significant influence on learning effectiveness. Second, learner characteristics had a significant influence an learning transfer. Also, the learning had a significant influence an learning transfer.

  • According to recent statistics published by the National Industrial Security Center, former and current employees are responsible for 80.4% of companies' technology leakages, and employees of cooperative firms are responsible for another 9.6%. This means that 90% of technology leakages are intentionally or mistakenly caused by insiders. In a recent incident, a credit card company leaked private information, and the person responsible was an employee of a cooperative firm. These types of incidents have an adverse effect not only on a company's assets but also on its reputation. Therefore, most institutions implement various security solutions to prevent information from being leaked. However, security solutions are difficult to analyze and distinguish from one another because their logs are independently operated and managed. A large number of logs are created from various security solutions. This thesis investigates how to prevent internal data leakage by setting up individual scenarios for each security solution, analyzing each scenario's logs, and applying a monitoring system to each scenario.

IS/IT 기술 및 지식에 대한 충북 지역 IS 실무자 재교육 수요 조사

  • 본 연구에서는 청주와 그 인근 지역에서 정보시스템을 개발하거나 운영하고 있는 업체의 IS 실무자들에게 (1) IS 실무자의 업무 수행 성과, (2) 소프트웨서 및 IT 전문기술수준, (3) IS 지식 및 능력 수준, 그리고 (5) 재교육 수요에 대해서 설문 조사하였다. 본 연구의 조사 대상자들은 주로 Sl(system integration) 업체에 종사하는 IT(information technology) 실무자들과 e-Business를 수행하는 일반 기업에서 전산 업무를 담당하고 있는 실무자들이며, 구체적으로는 전산시스템 운영자, 시스템/데이터베이스 분석/설계자, 어플리케이션/웹 프로그래머, 최종사용자 지원 담당자, e-Business를 위한 IT 지원 인력 등이다. 조사 결과는 다음과 같다. 충북 지역에서 IS 실무자들은 자신들의 업무를 성공적으로 수행하기 위한 지식 및 기술의 다양한 영역에서 광범위하게 지식 및 기술의 결핍을 느끼고 있으며, 자신의 업무 성과가 전반적으로 좋지 않다고 판단하고 있고, 업무 관련 지식 및 기술에 대한 재교육의 필요성을 강하게 느끼고 있다. 또한, 충북 지역의 IS 실무자들은 주된 활동이나 업무가 시스템 개발과 유지보수, 최종 사용자 지원 등의 활동이며, 이에 대한 최신의 기술과 고객 중심의 시각화된 도구(GUI)를 제공하는데 많은 시간을 투자하며, 기존의 반복적인 개발 업무에서 점차 경력이 쌓임에 따라 고객 중심적인 새로운 시스템 개발을 위한 기획과 관리에 많은 관심을 기울이고 있으나, 조직 운영 및 의사결정 등과 같은 기술/지식들에는 낮은 관심을 보였다. IT전문 기술들 중 IS 실무자들이 필요로 하고 보유해야 한다고 응답한 기술들은 대다수가 웹 개발에 관련된 기술이며, IS 실무자들은 대규모 프로젝트의 수행에 필요한 공동 작업 수행 능력의 제고와 그를 위한 재교육에 높은 관심을 나타내었다. 본 조사는 충북의 IS 실무자들을 위한 대학 교육과 재교육을 포함하는 최적의 평생 교육계획 수립을 위한 기초적이고 필수적인 정보를 제공할 것으로 기대된다.

A Research on PBL Implementation Strategy of Faculty Members Selected as a PBL Best Practicer (PBL 우수 사례자로 선정된 교수들의 수업운영 전략 탐색)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine about PBL implementation strategies employed by faculty members who have successfully managed PBL class. By adopting the inductive content analysis, this study has analyzed the contents related with the strategies about PBL implementation in the course result reports and best practice presentation materials made by 6 professors selected as a PBL best practicer of B university from the 2017 to the 2018. After the analysis, it is revealed that PBL best practicers have used 13 strategies in domain of classroom culture, learning facilitation, and assessment. The following further studies and supports have been suggest: First, a study on PBL best practice faculty member's implementation strategies should be further expanded. Second, a comparative study on the PBL implementation strategies between PBL best practice faculty members and general faculty members should be launched. Third, an organizational system to share PBL best practice faculty member's implementation strategies should be supported.

A study on academic articles of industry-academic cooperation through keyword network analysis (키워드 네트워크 분석을 통한 산학협력 학술논문 연구)

  • This paper aims to identify trends of domestic industry-academic cooperation through comparative analysis of domestic and overseas academic articles published over the past 10 years (2011-2021). To this end, keyword network analysis and topic modeling analysis were performed to identify the characteristics of the entire articles collected. As results, it turned out that domestic articles included school, employment, education, patent, and professor as a major keyword while for overseas articles, project, policy, innovation, and company were the main topics, and related keywords were found to be influential. These results suggest that domestic industry-academic cooperation would have been designed and led by universities focusing on education for employment, and need to be carried out more actively in the areas of 'research' and 'technology transfer with the government's related policies and support on establishing two-way relationships that can benefit both schools and participating companies.
