  • Where should a plant or service facility be located? The decision is crucial since the capital investment in land, factory construction, and facility is enormous. Once a firm has sunk a large sum of money into a factory, it lives with the decision for a long time. In this age of global markets and global production, this is a key decision problem for contemporary manufacturing and/or service. Using data from Korean and Chinese managers and the AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process), this paper did study on the actual condition for identifying the differences of opinion between the two group's(Shanghai and Shenyang managers) in how to make decisions on the location problems. Since this study was carried out during recent global economy recession, and the limitation of the collected questionnaires, it is hard to avoid the possibility for those managers to show different view from their ordinary times. Nevertheless, this paper will provide managers with useful informations on successful facility location in China.

  • Based on SPICE (Software Process Improvement and Capability dEtermination) evaluation model, SPIRE (Software Process Improvement in Regions of Europe) is developed and published as a process improvement model for small and medium size organizations. However, practical selection guidelines or mapping rules between business goals and software processes do not exist within SPIRE. This research aims to construct an objective reference mapping table between business goals and software processes, and to propose a process selection method using the mapping table. The mapping table is constructed by the convergence of domestic software process experts' opinions using Delphi techniques. In the suggested process selection method, target processes are selected using the intuition of project participants or project managers as well as the reference mapping table. The feasibility of the proposed selection method has been reviewed by applying to two small software companies. Using the reference mapping table, we could select key processes which were passed over by project managers.

The core content composition and content design specifically consider the characteristics of Jeollanam-do based on an advisory meeting of the field experts and researchers to ensure the on-site utilization of the content and the validity and consistency of the teaching content. The educational content is divided into three areas: understanding, effectiveness, and the implementation of a gender-sensitive work-life balance organizational culture. The aim of the content is for all employees to understand the meaning of work-life balance and to improve the organizational culture of their company from the perspective of individuals, families, companies, and society. In particular, the intention was to personally identify and implement measures to improve a gender-equal work-life balance, not only at work, but also with regard to domestic labor and leisure time. Furthermore, the content is presented from a gender-sensitive perspective that encompasses diversity, systems, and programs targeting women, men, single people, married people, young people, the elderly, and people with disabilities - all these groups are explained as examples. The content emphasizes that we should all actively participate in improving the organizational culture of our companies. In addition, the Women's New Work Center should seek ways to increase the motivation for the voluntary participation by companies and strengthen the expertise of instructors in work-life balance education.

  • Proptech, which has applied information technology to the real estate market, is leading real estate transaction innovation by presenting various value creation models. This study categorizes and understands values that are created and shared in proptech-based businesses, and develops evaluation data that reflects the relative importance of individual value areas. To this end, the dimension of value creation of proptech was hierarchically constructed, and the degree of relative value creation of the sub-industries of the proptech industry was evaluated. In order to grasp the relative importance of the proposed indicators, AHP analysis was conducted for industry and academic experts. In the first stage, intangible values, relational values, and advanced values were presented. It was derived as weights between indicators through two-way comparison. This study aims to improve and develop the value-creation capability of the entire Korean proptech ecosystem in the future by evaluating the value-created competence of each sector of the proptech industry.

  • As the need for the use of big data increases, various analysis activities using big data, including SNS data, are being carried out in individuals, companies, and countries. However, existing research on predicting technology market trends has been mainly conducted using expert-dependent or patent or literature research-based data, and objective technology prediction using big data is needed. Therefore, this study aims to present a model for predicting future technologies through decision tree analysis, visualization analysis, and percentage analysis with data from social network services (SNS). As a result of the study, percentage analysis was better able to predict positive techniques compared to other analysis results, and visualization analysis was better able to predict negative techniques compared to other analysis results. The decision tree analysis was also able to make meaningful predictions.

  • Energy management systems (EnMS) contribute to sustainable energy saving and greenhouse gas reduction by emphasizing the role of energy management in production-oriented economies. Although understanding the methods used to measure energy performance is a key factor in constructing successful EnMS, few attempts have been made to examine these methods, their applicability, and their utility in practice. To fill this research gap, this study aimed to deepen the understanding of energy performance measures by focusing on four energy performance indicators (EnPIs) proposed by ISO 50006, namely the measured energy value, ratio between measured values, linear regression model, and nonlinear regression model. This paper presents policy and managerial implications to facilitate the effective use of these measures. An analytic hierarchy process (AHP) analysis was conducted with 41 experts to analyze the preference for EnPIs and their key selection criteria by the industry sector, and organization and user type. The findings suggest that the most preferred EnPI is the ratio between the measured values followed by the measured energy value. The ease of use was considered to be most important while choosing EnPIs.

  • As cloud services and deployment models become diverse, there are a growing number of cloud computing selection options. Therefore, financial companies need a methodology to select the appropriated cloud for each financial computing system. This study adopted the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) framework to classify factors for the introduction of cloud computing in financial companies. Using Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), the evaluation items are layered into the performance perspective and the cloud consideration factor and a comprehensive decision model is proposed. To verify the proposed research model, a system of financial company is divided into three: account, information, and channel system, and the result of decision making by both financial business experts and technology experts from two financial companies were collected. The result shows that some common factors are important in all systems, but most of the factors considered are very different from system to system. We expect that our methodology contributes to the spread of cloud computing adoption.

  • Due to the spread of COVID-19, it is rapidly changing from face-to-face to non-face-to-face work environments and is changing to a digital work environment that can be accessed anytime, anywhere, providing convenience to all lives. However, the number of breaches, personal information leakage, and technology leakage targeting SMEs that are vulnerable to security continues to increase. Accordingly, the government has been continuously promoting the information security consulting support project for SMEs every year since 2014. Therefore, this study intends to develop a performance model and measurement methodology for continuous and more systematic support and efficient management of information protection support projects in consideration of the importance of information security for SMEs. It is intended to be used as basic data when setting future operational directions and goals. The main method of this study is to derive performance models and indicators for SME information security support projects based on domestic literature, case studies, and survey results, utilize expert advice to verify the developed performance measurement indicators, and use pilot-test questionnaires. Conduct evaluation through surveys. Based on the verified indicators, we would like to present a performance model and measurement index for the information security support project for SMEs.
