This paper presents the derivation of model parameters against a comparatively small industrial power plant, and validates its model parameters using the stored data measured at the time of on-site generator characteristic testing. Dynamic models such as generator, excitation system, and turbine/governor are mainly dealt in this paper. For the purpose of validation of derived model parameters, the measured results are compared with simulation results. Those of the comparisons between measured results and simulation results show good match.

This paper presents an auxiliary TCSC controller designed for damping SSR. Damping controller for SSR is designed in frequency domain for suppressing resonance. The SSR phenomenon and the performance of damping controller simulated by using PSCAD/EMTDC. In this simulation. the power system model for SSR is IEEE benchmark Model and TCSC is simplified to controllable impedance model.

This study is focused on developing a program which can edit different formats of power system data used by system operators PSS/E program, which has been widely used as a tool for power system analysis. Provides only a limited function of editing PSS/E input data. Considering that more and more power system analysers will be developed and applied for power system planning and operation in the near future, unified handling of multi-types of power system data format, such as conversion of one input data format into another, is indispensible. In this paper, a new power system data editor, functionally augmented from PSS/E editor, is introduced. The new editing program was developed in GUI environment for users to conveniently edit input data for EUROSTAG program without running several editors. Considerable savings in time and manpower are expected.

To improve the damping of all poorly damped oscillation modes, a control strategy of Static Synchronous Series Compensator (SSSC) based on energy method is presented in this Paper As a synchronous voltage-sourced inverter, SSSC is used to provide controllable series compensation. SSSC can provide controllable compensating voltage over an identical capacitive and inductive range. The damping effect of control strategy based on energy function is robustness with respect to loading condition, fault location and network configuration. Furthermore, the control inputs are based on local signals. In two area system, the effect of damping inter-area mode oscillation is demonstrated by the robust control strategy of SSSC.

This paper presents Static Synchronous Series Compensator(SSSC) model for power flow study using IPLAN. In the proposed model, SSSC is represented by the equivalent load variation. The equivalent load consists of active power load specified by user and reactive power load which is founded for considering characteristic of SSSC. And this is implemented by IPLAN which is a macro-external program for PSS/E. Using this model, SSSC can be solved in load-flow by just calling the model in PSS/E. The proposed model was applied to a realistic power system for validity test.

Two-way slabs reinforced with high-performance steels were constructed and tested. The influences of the yield strength of flexural reinforcements, the flexural reinforcement ratio, and concentrating the reinforcement in the immediate column region on the punching shear resistance, post-cracking stiffness, strain distribution, and crack control were investigated.

인터넷의 발전으로 국경을 초월한 팀간의 국제적 협업도 기술적으로 가능하게 되었다. 그러나 공용어가 아닌 각자의 모국어를 사용하는 경우 인터넷과 자동기계번역 (Machine Translation)을 활용하여 협업이 가능하도록 하기 위하여는 아직도 해결되어야 말 문제가 많다. 특히 자동기계번역은 특정 언어 외의 다양산 언어들간의 번역에서는 아직도 의사소통이 원활하게 이루어지지 않는 수준이다. 본 연구는 상이산 문화적 배경을 가지고 서로 다른 모국어를 사용하는 팀 간의 협업이 현재의 기술 수준으로 어느 정도까지 가능한가 하는 것을, 자동기계번역과 인터넷을 기반으로 고안된 ICSS ([nterrultural Collaboration Support System)를 활용한 실험을 통하여, 시스템과 인간의 상호작용을 중심으로 고찰하고자 하였다.

A Study of N-Insertion Preferences in KoreanKyung-A Kook, Ju-Won Kim, Ho-Young LeeSince n-insertion is not an obligatory process in Korean, it is necessary to investigate what factors influence n-insertion preferences and whether n-insertion preferences have been changed over time. To find answers to these questions, an n-insertion preference test using a questionnaire was conducted. 183 words were selected for this test and 167 subjects participated in the test. The results of this test show that the n-insertion preferences were influenced by the speakers' age, the number and structure of the syllable, word class, phonetic environments, and familiarity. It is suggested that the results of this test should be incorporated into the Principles of Standard Pronunciation and in the Grand Dictionary of Standard Korean.

The affricates of the Korean were alveolar sounds in the 15th century. Alveolar sounds have changed to post-alveolar or alveo-palatal sounds since the 18th century, at least in Southern Korean. These days, the advanced articulation of the affricates are observed, especially in the speech of young generations. The aim of this paper is to show the differences of the affricates when they are pronounced in alveo-palatal and in a more advanced position than in alveo-palatal by their cut-off frequencies. We have recorded speeches of freshmen(in their early twenties) at Seoul National University. The result was that the cut-off frequency of the advanced articulation in auditory observations was higher than that of the others. We have found in particular, that women have tendency to advance their place of articulation of the affricates.

Of all the annotations of Rites of Zhou for 2,000 years, there is no single line of history of ore contents related to city building in its current perspective. This is because the definitive evidence of the interpretation of related phrases is regarded as top-level guidelines called "辨方正位(Byeonbang-Jeongwi)", and their specific contents have been discussed in '匠人建國(Jangin-Geonguk)'. The phrases of '匠人營國(Jangin-Yeongguk)', considered to be the key buzzword related to city building, must be reconsidered for these reasons. As such, this paper strives to analyze the system of logic formed by consistent interpretation that flowed for 2,000 years from Han to Qing dynasties, and to discover the principles of city building used in Confucian classics.
