21세기 들어 컴퓨터와 통신 기술의 급속한 발전과 정부의 보급 의지로 인하여 정보기기 및 통신 장비는 급속한 발전을 이루게 되었다. 이에 정부에서는 중ㆍ고등학교의 컴퓨터 교육을 강화하기 위한 방안으로 현재 고등학교에서 추진하고 있는 정보소양인증 제도를 중학교까지 확대 시행하고 학교 교육과정에서 적극 반영하도록 하여 중 고등학교에서 컴퓨터 교육을 필수적으로 실시하도록 유도하고 있으며 현재 시행되고 있는 제7차 교육 과정에서는 모든 교과의 수업에서 10% 이상에서 컴퓨터를 비롯한 정보통신기술 활용을 목표로 각 교과별 정보통신기술 활용 내용을 개발하여 교과서 편찬시 반영하도록 하여 이를 보급하려 하고 있다. 또한 2001년부터 컴퓨터 교육이 필수화됨에 따라 초등학교에서도 교사 교육 및 시설의 확충 등 체계적이고 지속적인 지원을 하기 위하여 노력하고 있다. 그러나 정보보호 측면에서 이들 교재를 분석하여 보면 그 내용과 구성이 너무나도 미흡하며 보강이 필요한 것이 현실이다. 이에 본 논문에서는 현 초등학교 교과서를 분석하여 담고 있는 내용과 이를 개선하기 위한 방법을 제시하였다.

In this study, in order to use computer in mathematical learning effectively, we investigate application of computer shown textbooks in geometry unit of middle school mathematics. First, we analyzed about status of computer application and method of computer application in 27 textbooks. We presented concrete example of mathematics activity using computer that can be used by teachers. Also, we tried to find out the direction to use computer more effectively in teaching and learning geometry. Through this process, we do not simply use computer to play for interest but to use it more meaningfully.

'Saembon' was elementary mathematics textbook in the Period of Syllabus in Korea. First I classified Saembons in five groups. And then I regrouped them into two kinds. One kinds were published under U.S. Army Military Government, and other kinds were made under Republic of Koera. Two kinds of Saembon were very different in several aspects. I showed how they were different through real examples. Finally I tried to explain that Saembons under Republic of Koera were better than Saembons under U.S. Army Military Government.

This study aims to review and analyze the contents related to environment among curriculum of Technology$.$Home Economics subject; to produce multimedia learning materials and web-based materials for effective environmental education: and to find the way to effectively utilize them in schools. The data were analyzed by t-test with SPSS Win 10.0 program. The results of this study are as follows; First, the textbook carries a lot of contents concerning the environment. Second, the multimedia materials help students to understand environmental issues and strengthen their attitudes of environmental problems very effectively. Third, after using the instructional multimedia materials, the students showed significantly different results.

The current elementary mathematics curriculum does not include intensive quantity. However, other subjects also deal with intensive quantity. In order to find a solution to this problem from a pedagogical point of view, the curriculum of mathematics, science, social studies, and elementary textbooks were compared and analyzed, focusing on intensive quantity. As a result of the analysis, the learning contents of intensive quantity were not explicitly presented or the term was not used in the elementary mathematics curriculum. However, intensive quantity was used as a material of activity and word problems in elementary mathematics textbooks. In science and social studies, it was also found that the learning order and content did not match, such as calculating the intensive quantity. For effective learning, it is necessary to consider presenting intensive quantity in elementary mathematics, and to be careful in the composition of learning order and content.

The purpose of this study is to develop an approach to teaching qualitative research methods (TQRM) for Library and Information Science. To draw trend of TQRM, 76 course syllabi collected in the research oriented universities' master and doctoral programs, were analyzed using content analysis. The study proposes both common topics and essential strategies for TQRM in terms of the paradigm of qualitative research, research design, wide range of approaches to QR, diversity of collecting and analyzing data, writing, and evaluation criteria. It is very important to identify qualitative stance and to understand paradigms and philosophical and theoretical frameworks of QR for conducting QR reiteratively, creatively, reflectively.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the contents of housing area in Technology Home Economics textbooks of the 2007 revised curriculum which was published in 2011. The structure and the contents of housing area which are consisted of housing/living environment and use of housing space were analyzed. This study aims to examine the changes in the newly revised textbooks as well as suggesting advice for the more improved revised one in the future. For this purpose, this study employed 11 different textbooks and the results were the followings: each textbook had different quantity of pages dedicated to housing area but commonly had the wide range of terminology, plentiful amount of tables/diagrams, reading and activity materials sufficient to have students to carry out in practice. Also, the newly added contents of local area and eco-friendly life are analyzed to be well reflecting the 2007 revised curriculum. In future textbook development, it will be important that the issue of low birth rate, population ageing and green-life to be included as well as emphasizing the content of the network within the local area in order to actively prepare for the environmental issues.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the core content of consumer area from 1st to 2009 revised middle school Home Economics textbooks with the aim of proposing guidelines. An in-depth content analysis was conducted twenty two Home Economics textbooks that have been used in middle schools, beginning with the first curriculum until the revised 2009 curriculum with word cloud. The major findings of this study were as follows; First, the first period of the textbooks emphasized thrift-related concepts such as budgeting and saving money. The second and third period in Home Economics textbooks focused on household work and resource management. From fifth period, the content of textbooks were emphasized learning how to find relevant information and making rational decisions as a consumer. The 2007 revised and 2009 revised period in Home Economics have focused on rational decision-making by adolescents, while taking into account environmental considerations. The content of textbooks now introduces students to the notions of ethical consumerism and eco-friendly consumption across domains such as clothing, food, and housing. The curriculum and content of textbooks in Home Economics should emphasize the concepts related to ethical consumption.

In this note we examined some terms, parallel lines and angles in elementary school mathematics and middle school mathematics respectively. Since some terms are represented early in elementary school mathematics and not repeated after, some students are not easy to apply the terms to their lesson. Also, since the relation between parallel lines and angles are treated intuitively in 7-th grade, applying the relation for a proof in 8-th grade would be meaningless. For the variety of mathematics education, it is desirable that the relation between parallel lines and angles are treated as postulate. Also, for out standing students, it is desirable that we use deductive reasoning to prove the relation between parallel lines and angles as a theorem. In particular, the treatments of vertical angles and the relation between parallel lines and angles in 7-th grade text books must be reconsidered. Proof is very important in mathematics, and the deductive reasoning is necessary for proof. It would be efficient if some properties such as congruence of vertical angles and the relation between parallel lines and angles are dealt in 8-th grade for proof.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the information literacy curriculum of school library in the USA. The write, to understand the characteristics and principles of information literacy curriculum, analyzes national standards and some state curricula for information literacy education. Finally, through presenting a couple of lessons which were organized based on the information literacy curriculum, drawing out some strategies for development of information literacy curriculum for school library education in Korea.
