Proxy Caching Grouping by Partition and Mapping for Distributed Multimedia Streaming Service (분산 멀티미디어 스트리밍 서비스를 위한 분할과 사상에 의한 프록시 캐싱 그룹화)

  • Recently, dynamic proxy caching has been proposed on the distributed environment so that media objects by user's requests can be served directly from the proxy without contacting the server. However, it makes caching challenging due to multimedia large sizes, low latency and continuous streaming demands of media objects. To solve the problems caused by streaming demands of media objects, this paper has been proposed the grouping scheme with fuzzy filtering based on partition and mapping. For partition and mapping, this paper divides media block segments into fixed partition reference block(R$_f$P) and variable partition reference block(R$_v$P). For semantic relationship, it makes fuzzy relationship to performs according to the fixed partition temporal synchronization(T$_f$) and variable partition temporal synchronization(T$_v$). Simulation results show that the proposed scheme makes streaming service efficiently with a high average request response time rate and cache hit rate and with a low delayed startup ratio compared with other schemes.

  • This study aimed to research marathon club activities experience of women intellectual disabilities through qualitative research. This study selected five women intellectual disabilities and five information providers as the participants. The data collection consisted of field observation records and interview data. The collected data analyzed through coding method. The result were as follows as. First, personal dimension appeared as exciting of running, inner freedom, assimilation with nature. Second, relationship dimension appeared as communication and participation of the family, relationship with peers, comprehension and coexistence. Third, lifelong education dimension appeared as expansion into life, growth without a stop, the process of becoming a social worker. In conclusion marathon club activity appeared to contribute to personal growth, relationship with surroundings and social inclusion.

The Impact of Smartphone Application Quality Factors on Trust and the Users' Continuance Intention according to Gender (스마트폰 애플리케이션 품질이 신뢰 및 지속적 사용의도에 미치는 영향 : 성별의 조절효과를 중심으로)

  • Mobile applications are growing fast and the rising popularity of smartphones, which was supposed to take the market even further. The purposes of this study are as follows. First, we find out what really drives the trust and the intention to continuance use the mobile applications. Second, we explore gender differences in perceptions and relationships between the quality factors and trust. The 231 sets of data collected from 120 male and 111 female, who use the smartphones, were tested against the model using PLS 2.0. The results of this study are as follows. First, perceived usefulness and connectivity had an effect on trust and continuance intension. Second, gender had moderate effect on the relationship between quality factors and trust.

  • This study investigated the effect of willing assistance and social responsibility, which motivate one to buy products from social enterprise, upon functional and emotional values, company image and repurchase. To that end, survey was conducted on the subject of customers buying social enterprise products. 178 responses were used to verify research hypotheses through covariate structural equation model. The study results are as follows: First, willing assistance and social responsibility for buying products from social enterprise were shown to have significant effects on functional and emotional values. Second, functional and emotional values were presented to have significant impacts on company image and repurchase intention. Third, company image has a significant effect on repurchase intention.

Farmers perception of and adjustment to typhoon hazards on Cheju island, Korea (태풍재해에 관한 제주도 농부들의 인식과 적응도 연구)

  • 거의 해마다 내습하는 태풍위험을 제주지역 농부들이 어떻게 인식하고 그에 적응하고 있는지 아울러 이와같이 연례행사처럼 발생하는 태풍재해 문제 해결에 있어 정부관계기관의 역할에 대한 그들의 인식은 어떠한가를 살펴보는 것이 본 연구의 목적이다. 우선 위 연구과제를 살피기 위하여 다음과 같은 세 가지 가설이 전제되었다. 첫째, 태풍과 같은 자연발생적 위협과 빈번한 접촉내지 오랜 경험은 인간에게 위험과 손실을 준다는 자각으로 이끌며 또한 장차 발생의 정확한 예측에 비교적 밀접한 관계를 갖는다. 그리고 이러한 경험들은 그와같은 자연발생적 위협으로부터 일시 피하거나 위협지역으로부터 아주 떠나 버린다기 보다 오히려 적응이라는 선택을 취한다. 둘째, 인간이 이와같은 위협지역 제주도와 같이 사회문화적인 특성이 뚜렷한 지역에 삶의 터전을 가지고 있는 것은 경제적 요인에서라기보다도 사회문화적 바탕에서 그 원인을 찾을 수 있다. 셋째로, 정부의 이와같은 자연발생적 재해문제 해결은 해당 지역 거주주민들과 보다 긴밀한 컴뮤니케이션과 함께 정부나 컴뮤니티를 통한 자연재해에 관한 계몽교육을 강화함으로서 그 역할이 효과적으로 수행될 수 있다. 총 113명의 농업을 주업으로 하는 가구주들을 제주도의 상습태풍재해지구에서 무작위 단게별군집(Random-cluster Stratified Sampling)방법에 의하여 선별하고 태풍위협에 대한 개인별 재해인식과 인간 적응을 알아보기 위하여 작성된 설문서를 통하여 각기 면담, 연구분석자료가 수집되었다. 제주농부들의 태풍에 대한 자각과 적응은 제주도 나름의 풍토에서 오랜 삶의 경험을 토대로 얻어진 결과라는 것이 입증되었다. 한편, 장차 태풍 내습에 대한 그들의 예측은 상당히 정확하였으며, 태풍재해에 대한 적응은 동기적이고 예방적 즉, 농부들은 재해의 근원적 소멸을 위해 재해지역을 떠난다기보다 오히려 피해를 감수하고 있었으며 또한 그들의 기본 영농방법이나 작물의 대체를 급격히 전환한다기 보다 부분적으로 수정, 변경시켜 나가고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 한편, 그들의 적응과정은 현대적 영농기술과 그들 특유의 전통적 방법을 혼합 병행하고 있었으며 가족이나 친척 이웃과의 유대관계가 재해지역에 거주하는 지배적 이유로 나타났다. 또 한편, 해당연구지역 농부들은 태풍피해에 대한 정부의 보조를 알고는 있으나 그것이 재해문제를 해결하는데 있어서 효율적이라고 생각치 않고 있다. 그들은 더욱 많은 재정적 보조를 희망하는 것만큼 연례저긍로 내습, 피해를 주고 있는 태풍재해 문제에 대한 정부의 적극적이고 좀더 효과적 예방 대책을 요구하고 있다.

A Study on Perception Difference for Service Quality of Abroad Logistics Center by the Characteristics of Shippers (화주기업 특성에 따른 해외물류센터 서비스 품질 인식차이에 관한 연구)

  • Shippers face uncertainty and risks until the delivery of goods to the buyer (importer). To avoid these uncertainty and risks, shippers use the abroad logistics center and then try to construct continuous contract relations. From this viewpoint, this study examines the motivations of shippers to take advantage of the logistics center and perception difference for service quality according to the characteristics of shippers. For this purpose, T-test and ANOVA analyses are conducted using SPSS 21.0. The results suggest the following implications. First, there are no differences in perception regarding the motivation to take advantage of the logistics center for the size and characteristics of products. Second, the main motivating factors are maneuver to competitors and meeting buyers' demands by using the abroad logistics center. Furthermore, there is the level of perception for service quality regarding packaging and labeling in the logistics center. In contrast, the problem process and the quality of the order progress information is higher. Finally, specific logistics services are required depending on individual products because each product's characteristics are different.

  • The electronic commerce environment allows customers to search for information and purchase products and services via direct contact with internet markets. Purchasing through the internet is not a real experience of purchasing, but is based on some pictures, information and advertisements of products. To improve E-commerce environment in Iran, purchasing behavior of Iranian young adults in the internet shopping mall is analyzed in this study. The factors which influence the motivation of internet shopping and the selection of internet shopping mall is investigated, and statistical tests were applied between these factors and other variables such as gender, job, age and education. The results of the tests showed that there is a gender difference on one of the shopping mall selection factor (i.e., abundant information about products); also there is a gender difference on the one of the shopping motivation factor (i.e., possibility of comparing products). Besides, there is a job difference (student or non-student) on the factor of 'Purchase frequency per month'. Other facts are also found that Iranian consumers are not sure about a product's quality, so they refuse to buy products such as foods, clothes and other products. Additionally, they are dissatisfied about the safety of internet shopping malls.

The Literati's Travels to Mt. Chungryang in the Chosun Dynasty Reflected in Travel Accounts (유산기로 본 조선시대 사대부의 청량산 여행)

  • The purpose of this study is to clarify motives, itinerary and general patterns associated with the traveling of the upper class in the Chosun Dynasty based on twenty travel accounts of Mt. Chungryang. In addition, previous studies were referred to in order to compare these trips to Mt. Chungryang with those which were undertaken to Mt. Kumgang so as to identify the unique characteristics of those involved with the trips to Mt. Chungryang and of these trips in themselves. Through this process, unique characteristics, such as the travelers' academic backgrounds and place of origin, as well as how these travelers' relationship with their teachers influenced the motivation for these trips were uncovered, as were the processes through which travel schedules and companions were selected. Moreover, the researcher identified similarities and differences between the travel of Mt. Chungryang and Mt. Kumgang in terms of the travelers' motivation for the trip, the transportation methods they employed, and the kind of accommodation they sought. Moreover while similarities were also uncovered with regards to the travel practices of the literati class during this time, differences emerged in terms of their travel dates and schedules.

A study on tourist satisfaction of the Daegu City Tour using a structural equation model (구조방정식모형을 이용한 대구시티투어 관광객의 만족도 연구)

  • We analyze the tourist satisfaction of the Daegu City Tour which plays a big role in the local tourism boosting through '2011 Visit Daegu Year'. To analyze a causal relation among factors, we proposed a structural equation model consisting of four latent variables of the tour: motivation, expectation, satisfaction, and future behaviors. Using data from the actual tourists of the Daegu City Tour, we found out that tourists' motivation before the tour does not affect tourists' satisfaction after the tour. However those who have higher motivation have positive future behavior and those who have the higher expectation are more satisfied with the tour. Meanwhile, the expectation before the tour does not lead the future behavior but the satisfaction after the tour influences the positive future behavior.

Analysis on the Movement of the Creative Class (창조계층의 이동에 관한 연구)

  • The creative class is the class of workers whose job is to create meaningful new forms. Recently, much attention has been focused on the role of the creative class in regional development. Many policy makers have invested to amenities to attract more creative class into their cities or regions for regional economic growth. However, there are only a few studies about the migration of the creative class in Korea. The purpose of this study is to make an analysis of the movement of the creative class by using the 17th Korean Labor & Income Panel Study. According to empirical results, the creative class are more likely to move than the non-creative class. The characteristic of creative class who moved is related to married man aged 20s and 30s without own house. Also, there is the difference between determinants of migration of the creative class and the non-creative class. It was founded that the most important determinants of migration of the creative class are housing related reasons such as home ownership and job reasons. Relationship, convenient facilities are not important factors when the creative class make a decision to move.
