공기베어링으로 지지된 캐리지 구조물의 동특성 해석 (Dynamic Characteristics Analysis of the Carriage Structure Supported by Air Bearing)

  • In this paper, the dynamic characteristic analysis of carriage structure supported by air bearings were performed. Toward this end, the characteristics of air bearing were numerically analyzed to estimate the stiffness of the air bearing and the clearance between air bearing and guide surface. The modal analysis of the carriage structure was performed by using finite element method, and the experimental modal analysis was also performed to validate the finite element model, where rigid body modes were compared to validate the stiffness of the air bearings. From the results, the air spring stiffness can be estimated within the range of acceptable accuracy under any pressure and clearance condition.

강체흡음재의 수직입사 흡음특성 (Normal Incidence Sound Absorption Characteristics of Steel Absorber)

  • 유리섬유 및 폴리에스테르와 같은 섬유질 흡음재의 단점을 보완하기 위하여 다공성 알루미늄과 같은 강체 흡음재가 개발되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 스테인리스 스틸을 이용한 다공성 강체에 대하여 수직입사 흡음성능을 조사하였다. 밀도, 두께, 세부 프로파일 등에 따른 성능비교를 위하여 서로 다른 9개의 시험편의 성능을 측정하였다. 측정결과 밀도가 낮고 두께가 두꺼운 다공성 강체의 흡음성능이 다소 높은 것으로 나타났으며, 두께의 증가에 따라 중저주파수 대역의 흡음특성이 증가되었다. 배후 공기층이 형성되는 경우 중 저주파수 대역의 흡음성능이 매우 향상되는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 접착제가 사용된 실험편에 배후공기층이 형성되는 경우 전주파수 대역에서 매우 평탄한 수직입사 흡음특성을 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 향후 스테인리스 스틸 다공성 강체가 방음시설물, 흡음.확산용 내장재 등으로 사용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

  • In order to ensure the safety, the performance evaluation of the safety-related components in a nuclear power plant such as air-operated valves. In this paper, the diagnostic system(MOVIDS $A^+$) for the performance of air-operated valves was developed. For this purpose, the characteristics of their operation and the methods of the diagnostic tests were reviewed. The setup and diagnostic functions of the system were mentioned. Its applicability was validated through the diagnostic tests of air-operated valves in nuclear power plants. This diagnostic system is now applied in nuclear power plants for performance tests.

  • The necessity of diagnosis of the rotating machinery which is widely used in the industry is increasing. Because vibration diagnosis can avoid sudden breakdown of machine and reduce the maintenance costs. In the factory, Air-Compressor which can affect the performance and capacity of output is important machine. Therefore, in this paper, The measuring and analyzing is carried out for air-compressor in order to the factor of resonance and resonance avoidance for air-compressor. The result of diagnosis and solution is discussed in this paper.

  • In this paper, the optimum designs of air-bearing surface(ABS) are achieved effectively by using reduced basis concept which can reduce the number of design variables although the design space is distended. Generally, the optimization method is more effective than the trial and error. However, the efficiency of the former is largely dependent on the number of the design variables. In order to reduce the number of design variables and increase the efficiency, reduced basis concept is applied. We can define the desired design as a linear combination of basis designs using this concept. From this optimization method with reduced basis concept, we easily obtain the optimum designs of ABS whose target flying heights are 25, 20, 15 nm.

  • Catwalk structures are temporary walk ways for erection of main cables in suspension bridge. The aerodynamic characteristics of the catwalk structures are not well studied even though the catwalk structures are sensitive to wind action because of its flexibility. Present study demonstrates technical results obtained from wind tunnel tests of various catwalk structures. To obtain the aerostatic force coefficients of the floor system of catwalk, 1/14 and 1/4 scaled partial rigid models were fabricated and tested at the wind tunnel. In order to investigate the Reynolds number effects, the aerostatic force coefficients were measured at various wind velocities ranged from 5m/s to 30m/s. The test results revealed that the Reynolds number effects on aerostatic coefficients were not significant for the catwalk floor systems. An empirical equation for aerostatic force coefficients of catwalk are proposed based on the measured results.

  • In the process of accurate manufacture and measurement, it is necessarily required to isolate external or internal vibration due to external disturbance and internal actuators. The higher vibration isolation system gets damping around resonance, the better it is generally. This paper analyzes the performance of an existing passive air-spring for vibration isolation table by using experiment and simulation. Optimal design for a passive air spring can be obtained by tuning the size of the orifice. Also design for an active isolation system is carried out by applying PID controller and considering non-linearity of pneumatic characteristics with help of look-up table. We have developed the active vibration isolation table with the better isolation performance.

  • This paper shows the rotordynamic characteristics of a turbo-generator for a BOP of a fuel cell system. The rotor-bearing system consists of magnetic shaft and compressor-turbine shaft, and the two shafts are connected by spline coupling and supported by oil free air foil bearing. Preliminary design according to several parameter is considered in detail. Static and dynamic characteristics of the AFB are estimated by the soft elasto-hydrodynamic analysis technique and the perturbation method. The results of the natural frequencies, mode shape, and unbalance response analysis are presented.

  • In recent years, the demand of mobile device, such as digital camera, camcorder and PDA, increases remarkably. So, requirements of the mobile information data storage used in the mobile devices increase noticeably also. 1" micro data storage is a kind of mobile storage. which has a CF type II form factor, and the similar structure of the general 3.5" HDD. In this paper, we developed the self acting air-lubricated ceramic bearing for the 1" micro data storage. The self acting air-lubricated ceramic bearing Is superior to the fluid bearing and the ball bearing on power consumption.

  • In this paper, an experimental study on porous air bearing stiffness for ultra precision positioning system was performed. In general manufacturer provide bearing stiffness under specific air pressure, but the air pressure used in the field is different. Therefore it is necessary to know the stiffness of air bearing under the pressure used in the field. In order to know that, experimental device which can realize actual operating conditions was made. Using this device, static and dynamic stiffness of air bearing can be obtained. As a result, displacement error occurred around 1 $\mu$m at recommended load.
