The Effect of Social Anonymity on Community Quality : Mediated by Self Expression, Self Control, and Community Ties (사회적 익명성이 커뮤니티 품질에 미치는 영향 : 표현욕구, 자기통제, 유대감의 매개효과를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of social anonymity on community quality and find out mediating factors that affect the relationship between social anonymity and community quality in online community sites. This study focuses on the factors such as self expression, self control, and community ties to investigate their mediating roles on the relationship between social anonymity and community quality. Also, discussion quality and information quality are used to measure online community quality. The results of this study show that social anonymity is directly related to discussion quality but not related to information quality. As for the mediating effects, self expression, self control and community ties are all shown to have strong mediating effects on the social anonymity and community quality relationship.

Determinants of Relational Quality between the Supplier and the Retailer in the Chinese Cosmetics Market (중국 화장품시장에서 공급업체와 소매업체간 관계의 질에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구)

  • This study focuses on finding out the determinants of relational quality between the supplier and the retailer in the Chinese cosmetics market. A total of 72 questionnaires were collected by surveying beauty shops which mainly do business with the foreign cosmetics suppliers in Shanghai area. The findings support the premise that a retailer's trust in a supplier is positively related to the retailer's commitment. Supplier's ability, guanxi and cultural sensitivity have positive impacts on trust. Formalization, supplier's specific investment and cultural sensitivity affect commitment positively. But the formalization is not significantly related to the retailer's trust. The guanxi is not found to be significantly related to the retailer's commitment yet.

  • While a number of studies have recognized the importance of environment of channel systems and consequences of changed environment, only limited studies have dealt with this issue theoretically and practically. The purpose of this study is to empirically validate whether one dimension of environment, called dynamism, has an influence on the relationship characteristics such as transaction specific investment opportunism and conflict or not: further, it is designed to delve into whether these relationship characteristics have any influence on one crucial relationship quality, 'trust' and its two constituent dimensions - credibility and benevolence. In order to provide empirical validation, a survey was conducted to 163 sales office managers at a major newspaper publisher in Korea. An analysis of the data retrieved from this survey indicated that while environmental dynamism has a positive influence on the publisher's opportunism and conflict perceived by the sales office managers, it did not show a direct influence on the transaction specific investment made by the publisher. Furthermore, while publisher's transaction specific investment had a positive influence on the credibility and the benevolence respectively, publisher's opportunism and level of sales office conflict had a negative influence on the credibility and the benevolence respectively. Currently, a publisher is facing an unprecedentedly dynamic environment. This study should provide ample implications for the publisher in establishing trust, which is a crucial condition in developing and maintaining a long-term successful relationship with its sales offices.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the components and verify the relationship among service quality, customer satisfaction and relationship quality in liner shipping company. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, literature survey related to service quality, customer satisfaction, relationship quality was carried out and took an empirical analysis by the use of questionnaire method for employees in international freight forwarders. The final results are as follows; First, correlations between service quality and customer satisfaction are found to be positive. But service quality component of tangibles and responsiveness with customer satisfaction are not to be positive. Second, as the other study on the similar logistics industries, the correlation between customer satisfaction and relationship quality is found to be positive in this study.

  • 실증적인 연구들에 의하면 고객회사(client firms)와 서비스 제공업자(vendor) 간의 파트너십의 질과 범위가 정보시스템 아웃소싱의 성공적인 구현에 결정적인 역할을 하는 것으로 알려졌다. 본 연구는 이러한 정보시스템 아웃소싱 구현에 있어서 파트너십의 역할을 좀 더 심층적으로 분석하려는 노력의 일환이다. 본 연구에서의 기본 명제는 파트너십 특성들의 아웃소싱 구현에의 효과는 아웃소싱 업무의 특성(task characteristics)과 같은 상황적 요인에 의해 영향을 받을 수 있다는 것이다. 구체적으로 본 연구에서는 자산특이성(asset specificity)과 파트너십 특성간의 상호효과(interaction effect)에 중점을 두고 조사를 하게되는데, 파트너십은 관계적거래 특성(relational exchange characteristics)에 의해 구체화되었다. 207개의 미국 회사의 아웃소싱 관계를 대상으로 한 설문조사를 기반으로 한 결과에 의하면, 전반적으로 비관계적거래(discrete exchange)보다 관계적거래에 기반을 두고 아웃소싱 관계를 운영하는 것이 아웃소싱의 성공적 구현을 위하여 필수적인 것으로 보인다. 한편 상호효과를 조사하기 위해서는 MRA와 하위그룹분석(subgroup analysis)을 시행하였는데, 자산특이성과 일부 관계적거래 특성들간에 상호효과가 유의성이 있음을 발견하였다. 발견된 상호효과를 근거로 상황 변수를 고려하지 않은 연구 결과 중 확실하지 않은 결과(inconclusive results)에 대한 해석을 시도하였다.

Towards a Indexing Structure for Querying Product Information in Relational Databases (관계형 데이터베이스 상품 정보 질의 처리를 위한 인덱싱)

  • The product information can be practically stored and managed, and also queried when we use a relational database. We need to develop a special indexing scheme in order to process the queries to ask for the semantic relationships of the product information. Such semantic relationships include ISA or taxonomy relationships that have the transitive properties. In this paper, we propose an index scheme to effectively process those queries with the transitive property. The proposed index scheme is based on a numbering scheme that has relatively low update cost.

  • In order to use a RDBMS as the repository for product information, it is essential that the ontological query be processed effectively and answered properly, satisfying the user's expectations for an ontological query process. To be well-processed ontological queries, the key point is whether the various semantic relationships among the concepts of the product information are likewise well-processed. For feasibly processing a semantic query, we need to consider how the product ontology data is designed and stored in RDBMS. In this paper, we present how a RDB schema for the product ontology could be designed and queried.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the dynamic market mechanism adopting relationship marketing techniques between the shipping companies and shippers. As shipping companies mainly rely on sales operation, the relational structure of shipping companies and shippers is considered to be one of the determinants in business performance and customer satisfaction In this respect, the characteristic relationship between sales person and shipping company takes an important roles in relationship marketing in shipping business industry. An empirical study was carried out to find out the determinants cf relationship quality and antecedent factors of characteristics in shipping companies and sales person.

  • We design and implement an efficient storage technique to improve query processing for a large RDF data set. The proposed techniques can minimize data redundancy compared to the existing techniques by splitting relation information and data information from triple formatted RDF data. Also, we can enhance query processing speed separating and connecting the entire query steps by relation and data based on the proposed storage technique. The proposed technique can be applied to the areas, such as e-Commerce, semantic web, and KMS to store and retrieve a large RDF data set.

  • This study discusses some theoretical implications for efficient utilization of the global E-commerce in a world of uncertainty by beginning with measures of risk and return for the global E-commerce, and by moving to risk and return for a efficient transaction portfolio of many risky methods of transaction. Decision rules are developed to show how individuals choose optimal transaction portfolios that maximize their expected utility of wealth. First, the individuals will generally want to allocate positive amount to the global E-commerce, which requires that the expected marginal utility of wealth equals zero. Secondly, the optimal transaction portfolio will be determined by finding the point of tangency between the efficient trading line and the hightest indifference curve in the mean-variance plane. Thirdly, if the global E-commerce is positively correlated with wealth, it must have an expected return that is higher than the risk-free transaction methods in order to compensate for its risk. Fourthly, on the other hand, if the global E-commerce is negatively correlated with wealth, it will have an expected return that is less than the risk-free transaction methods. Finally, the valuation of global E-commerce depends on the degree of individual's risk aversion and the covariance between the expected return of total wealth and the return of global E-commerce.
