Equivalent Beam Element for Vibration Analysis of Damped Composite Beam Structure (복합감쇠보의 진동해석을 위한 등가보요소의 개발)

  • In this paper, the forced vibration of damped composite beam with I-type section was analyzed. The damping material was assumed to have complex Young's modulus. Damped composite beam structure could be modeled using equivalent beam elements with less D.O.F. rather than solid elements. Finite element method for 6 D.O.F. equivalent beam element was formulated and programmed using complex values. The results of frequency responses revealed good agreement with those of NASTRAN in both Euler beam model and Timoshenko beam model.

  • 최근 토목, 건축재료 및 시공기술의 발전과 더불어 컴퓨터를 이용한 해석 기법의 개발, 경제규모의 확대, 주변환경과의 조화 및 미적감가의 끊임없는 추구는 구조물의 장대화, 연성화, 다양화는 물론 구조감쇠율의 감소 등을 가져옴으로서 바람에 의한 동적 거동의 영향이 증대되어 이에 대한 검토의 중요성이 크게 부각되기 시작하였다. 특히, 최근들어 활발히 계획, 공사중인 여러 현수교, 사장교 구조물 중 시공단계로서의 독립 tower, 발전소의 장대 굴뚝, 고층건물, 전망 tower, 공항 관제 탑 등이 좋은 예이다. 따라서 이들 구조물의 설계과정에서 제안된 여러형태의 진동 제어 방법중 수동 감쇠장치에 대하여 소개하기로 한다. 감쇠장치는 직접 외부에 부착 하는 강제 감쇠장치와 소량의 질량, 스프링과 감쇠장치들을 조합하여 부착하는 수동 감쇠장치가 있다. 수동감쇠장치는 소규모로서 유지보수가 거의 필요 없으며 외관의 변화가 거의 없고 저렴하다는 장점이 있다. 여러종류의 수동감쇠장치, 즉 TMD, IMD 그리고 TSD에 대한 개략적인 이론과 그 사용예에 대하여 설명하였다. 실험적 검증 및 실측결과 각 장치가 바람에 의해 야기되는 진동현상을 억제하는데 매우 유효한 것으로 판정되었고 또한 크기가 소규모일 뿐 아니라 유지보수가 거의 없으며 비용도 저렴하여 국내 건설 또는 건설예정인 유사구조물에도 많은 적용이 예상된다.

  • The linear hydrodynamic forces, acting on a forced oscillating cylinder from its mean position on a free surface with a small amplitude, are calculated in the time domain. The integral equation method using a time dependent Green function is employed. The numerical results for the heaving and swaying circular cylinder are shown and give good agreements with others Furthermore it is shown that the use of the Green function, which is expressed by a series expansion or asymptotic expansion according to time range, reduces computing time greatly.

  • This work reports the results of our study on the dynamic response of various buried pipelines depending on their boundary conditions. We have studied behavior of the buried pipelines both along the axial and the transverse direction. The buried pipelines are modeled as beams on elastic foundation while the seismic wave as a ground displacement in the form of a sinusoidal wave. The natural frequency, its mode, and the effect of parameters have been interpreted in terms of free vibration. In order to investigate the response on the ground wave, the resulting frequency and the mode shape obtained from the free vibration have been utilized to derive the mathematical formula for the forced vibration. The natural frequency varies most significantly by the soil stiffness and the length of the buried pipelines in the case of free vibration. The effects of the propagation direction and velocity and the frequency of ground wave on the dynamic responses of concrete, steel, and FRP pipes have been analyzed and then dynamic responses depending on the type of pipes have been compared. Through performing dynamic analyser for various boundary conditions and estimation of the location of maximum strain has been estimated for the type of pipes and boundary conditions.

  • 양단이 고정된 보가 변형할 때에는 중간 평면의 신장을 수반하게 된다. 운동 의 진폭이 증가함에 따라 이 신장이 보의 동적 응답에 미치는 영향은 심각 하게 된다. 이러한 현상은 응력과 변형도와의 관계가 선형적이라 하더라도 변형도와 변위와의 관계식은 비선형이 되며 결국은 보의 비선형 운동방정식 을 낳게된다. 보는 연속계이긴하지만 근사를 위하여 다자유도계로 간주할 수 있다. 비선형 다자유도계에 있어서는 선형화된 계의 고유진동수끼리 적절한 관계를 가질 때 내부공진이 발생할 수 있다. 양단이 고정된 곧은 보의 비선 형 동적응답이 그동안 많이 연구되어 오고 있으며, 집중질량을 가지고 직각 으로 굽은 보의 해석을 위하여 내부공진을 고려한 해석적 혹은 실험적 연구 가 이루어져 왔다. 그중에서도 Nayfeh등은 조화가진 하의 핀과 꺾쇠로 고정 된(hinged-clamped) 보의 정상상태응답을 해석하기 위해 두 모우드 사이의 내부공진을 고려하였다. 이 연구에서는 세 모우드 사이의 내부공진을 고려하 여 강제진행 중인 보의 비선형 해석을 다루고자 한다. 이 문제에 관심을 갖 게 된 동기는 "연속계의 비선형 해석에서 더 많은 모우드를 포함시키면 어 떤 결과를 낳게 될 것인가\ulcorner"라는 질문에서 생겨난 것이다. 갤러킨 법을 이용 하여 비선형 편미분 방정식과 경계 조건으로 표현되는 이 문제를 연립 비선 형 상미분 방정식으로 변환한다. 다중시간법(the method of multiple scales) 을 이용하여 이 상미분 방정식을 정상상태에서의 세 모우드의 진폭과 위상 에 대한 연립비선형 대수방정식으로 변환한다. 이 대수방정식을 수치적으로 풀어서 정상상태 응답을 구하고 Nayfeh등의 결과와 비교한다. 결과와 비교한다. studies, the origin of ${\alpha}$$_1$peak was attributed to the detrapping process form trap with 2.88[eV] deep of injected space charge from the chathode in the crystaline regions.   • In order to meet the growing demands for higher storage density as well as lower noise level, the spindles in hard disk drives are to be supported by hydrodynamic bearings in place of conventional ball-type ones. However, the existing models are inappropriate to apply to accurate prediction of vibration characteristics because the HDD spindle tends to take quite a complex shape to secure its performance and cost-effectiveness. In this context, this paper treats analysis of free and forced vibrations of such-designed HDD spindles based on more sophisticated models and validations via experiments. Remarkably, to this end all the components in the system are modeled as elastic adopting the finite element method.

  • The authors apply the transfer influence coefficient method to the 3. dimensional vibration analysis of beam with multi - joints and formulate a general algorithm to analyse the longitudinal, flexural and torsional coupled forced vibration. In this paper, a structure which is mainly found in the robot arms, cranes and so on, has some crooked parts, subsystems and joints, but has no closed loop in this system. It is modeled as the beam of a distributed mass system with massless translational, rotational and torsional springs in each node, and joint elements of release or roll at node which the displacement vector is discontinuous. The superiority of the present method to the transfer matrix method in the computation accuracy was confirmed from the numerical computation results. Moreover, we confirmed that boundary and intermediate conditions could be controlled by varying the values of the spring constants.

  • Most of the medium-size ships are powered by large-bore, long-stroke, slow-speed and two-stroke diesel engines in order to improve the fuel efficiency. Such a propulsion plant develops low-frequency excitation forces/moments of significant magnitude. A RO/RO car/truck carrier is also one of the cases. In this paper, the rational methods for analysis of vertical and coupled horizontal-torsional vibrations are presented. Taking account of unusual characteristics of the hull form and structural systems, the emphasis is put on modelling methods based on beam analogy, calculation of system parameters such as added mass and its center, polar added-mass moment of inertia, shear coefficient of hull sections and coupling degree in antisymmetric modes, and modal analysis of forced vibrations.

A Efficient Vibration Analysis Method for the Cooncrete-Steel Deck Slab (콘크리트와 강제데크의 합성 바닥판의 실용적인 진동해석 방법)

  • Composite slab structures consisted with steel deck plate and concrete material show generally anisotropic structural behavior because of different stiffness between the major direction and sub-direction of deck plate, and also the structures can be regarded as the laminated slab structures. It is necessary for the composite deck slab structures to carry out the exact vibration analysis to evaluate the serviceability. Also, it is needed to evaluate the exact structural behavior of composite deck slab with a layered orthotropic materials. In this paper, the thickness of topping concrete and deck plate are used to calculate the material coefficient stiffness of a sub-direction, and an equivalent depth calculated from sectional stiffness of concrete and deck plate is applied to get the stiffness of a major direction. The stiffness of two layered composite plates with different depth is determined by laminated theory. It is concluded that the presented method can efficiently analyze the structural behavior of composite deck slab consisted with steel deck plate and concrete material in the practical engineering field.

  • As analysis of the forced dynamic response and vibrational mode for the cantilevered beam is described. Experimental results are compared with the natural frequencies and vibrational modes for the cantilevered beam using the theory of Bernoulli-Euler and finite element method. We have found 1st and 2nd resonance frequency of the cantilevered beam by means of the various external frequencies, $1{\sim}70Hz$, using magnetic transducer. And we have studied the vibrational displacement at obtained resonance frequency of the cantilevered beam. The experimental results for the nodes of cantilevered beam were 0 in 1st mode and 0,0.786 in 2nd mode. close agreement between the theoretically predicted results and experimental result was obtained for the vibrational mode.
