Static Output Feedback Robust $H_{\infty}$ Fuzzy Control of Nonlinear Systems with Time-Varying Delay (시변 지연이 있는 비선형 시스템에 대한 $H_{\infty}$ 퍼지 강인제어기 설계)

  • In this paper, a robust $H_{\infty}$ stabilization problem to a uncertain fuzzy systems with time-varying delay via static output feedback is investigated. The Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy model is employed to represent an uncertain nonlinear systems with time-varying delayed state. Using a single Lyapunov function, the globally asymptotic stability and disturbance attenuation of the closed-loop fuzzy control system are discussed. Sufficient conditions for the existence of robust $H_{\infty}$ controllers are given in terms of linear matrix inequalities.

  • A H$\infty$ control theory is applied to the design problem of synthesis filters in a mutirate filter bank. We select a desired pure time-delay system as reference model, and then consider the error system between the mutirate filter bank and the reference model. 1'he synthesis filters minimize the ι$_2$-induced norm of the error system.

  • This paper deals with a design of fault tolerant state feedback controllers for continuous time nonlinear time delay systems with actuator failures. The goal is to find an asymptotically stabilizing controller such that the closed loop system achieves the prescribed $H_{\infty}$ performance objective in the actuator fault cases. Based on a sum of squares (SOS) approach, a design method for $H_{\infty}$ fault tolerant controller is presented. In order to demonstrate our design method, a numerical example is provided.

  • When the controller designed by the $H{\infty}$ control technique is applied to the object system, sometimes the controller does not satisfy the robust stability and robust performance but only satisfy the nominal performance. In this paper, we derive the region on the frequency response curve of the open-loop transfer function which satisfy the robustness and robust performance of the designed controller. We also derive the region for the suitableness of the weighting function on the frequency response curve of the weighting function. We showed that the robust stability and the robust performance of the $H{\infty}$ optimal control)or by applying the designed controller on an electromechanical actuator system could be improved by determining parameter ${\gamma}$ and weighting function gain ${\alpha}$ using the derived region.

  • This paper focuses on congestion control for ATM network with uncertain time-variant delays. The time-variant delays can be distinguished into two distinct components. The first one that is represented by time-variant queueing delays in the intermediate switches is occurred in the return paths of RM cells. The next one is a forward path delay. It is solved by the VBR Model which quantifies the data propagation from the sources to the switch. Robust $H_{\infty}$ control is studied for solving congestion problem with norm-bounded time-varying uncertain parameters. The suitable robust $H_{\infty}$ controller is obtained from the solution of a convex optimization problem including terms of LMIs.

  • The method of designing robust two degree of freedom(2 DOF) controllers for linear systems with parameter uncertainties and unmodeled dynamics is presented in this paper. Robust performance condition that accounts for robust model matching of closed loop system and disturbance rejection is derived. Using the robust performance condition, the feedback controller is designed to meet robust stability and disturbance rejection specifications, while prefilter is used to improve the robust model matching properties. The $H^{\infty}$ and $\mu$ controller for six degree of freedom vehicle with parameter variations are designed and compared. Simulations for hydrodynamic parameter variations and disturbance are presented to demonstrate the achievement of good robust performance.

Input Constrained Receding Horizon $H_{\infty}$ Control : Quadratic Programming Approach

  • A receding horizon $H_{\infty}$ predictive control method is derived by solving a min-max problem in non-recursive forms. The min-max cost index is converted to a quadratic form which for systems with input saturation can be minimized using QP. Through the use of closed-loop prediction the prediction of states the use of closed-loop prediction the prediction of states in the presence of disturbances are made non-conservative and it become possible to get a tighter $H_{\infty}$ norm bound. Stability conditions and $H_{\infty}$ norm bounds on disturbance rejection are obtained in infinite horizon sence. Polyhedral types of feasible sets for sets and disturbances are adopted to deal with the input constraints. The weight selection procedures are given in terms of LMIs and the algorithm is formulated so that it can be solved via QP. This work is a modified version of an earlier work which was based on ellipsoidal type feasible sets[15].

  • In this paper, we consider the problem of designing H$\infty$ state feedback controller for the generalized time systems with delayed states and control inputs in continuous and discrete time cases, respectively. The generalized time delay system problems are solved on the basis of LMI(linear matrix inequality) technique considering time delays. The sufficient condition for the existence of controller and H$\infty$ state feedback controller design methods are presented. Also, using some changes of variables and Schur complements, the obtained sufficient condition can be rewritten as a LMI form in terms of transformed variables. The propose controller design method can be extended into the problem of robust H$\infty$ state feedback controller design method easily.
