  • J. G. Stampfli proved that if a bounded linear operator T on a Hilbert space ${\mathfrak{H}}$ satisfies ($G_1$) property, then the Riesz projection $P_{\lambda}$ associated with ${\lambda}{\in}iso{\sigma}$(T) is self-adjoint and $P_{\lambda}{\mathfrak{H}}=(T-{\lambda})^{-1}(0)=(T^*-{\bar{\lambda}})^{-1}(0)$. In this note we show that Stampfli''s result is generalized to an nilpotent extension of an operator having ($G_1$) property.

  • For $1{\leq}p{\leq}{\infty}$, let $H^p$ be the usual Hardy space on the unit circle. When ${\alpha}$ and ${\beta}$ are bounded functions, a singular integral operator $S_{{\alpha},{\beta}}$ is defined as the following: $S_{{\alpha},{\beta}}(f+{\bar{g}})={\alpha}f+{\beta}{\bar{g}}(f{\in}H^p,\;g{\in}zH^p)$. When p = 2, we study the hyponormality of $S_{{\alpha},{\beta}}$ when ${\alpha}$ and ${\beta}$ are some special functions.

  • The purpose of the present paper is to investigate mapping properties of an integral operator in which we show that the function g defined by $$g(z)=\{\frac{c+{\alpha}}{z^c}{\int}_{o}^{z}t^{c-1}(D^nf)^{\alpha}(t)dt\}^{1/{\alpha}}$$. belongs to the class $S(A,B)$ if $f{\in}S(n,A,B)$.

  • In this paper, we study surfaces in 3-dimensional Minkowski space in terms of certain type of their Gauss map. We give several results on these surfaces whose Gauss map G satisfies ${\square}G=f(G+C)$ for a smooth function f and a constant vector C, where ${\square}$ denotes the ChengYau operator. In particular, we obtain classification theorems on the rotational surfaces in ${\mathbb{E}}^3_1$ with space-like axis of rotation in terms of type of their Gauss map concerning the Cheng-Yau operator.

  • In this paper, we try to construct the variation of the Green's function and investigate some operator properties of the Green's function. Also, we discuss the variation of the operator of the Green's function G(x, t) when the operator is varied.

  • In this paper we give a characterization of real hypersurfaces of type (A) in a complex two-plane Grassmannian $G_2(\mathbb{C}^{m+2})$ which is a tube over a totally geodesic $G_2(\mathbb{C}^{m+1})$ in $G_2(\mathbb{C}^{m+2})$, in terms of two commuting conditions related to the normal Jacobi operator and the shape operator.

  • In this paper, we study rotational and helicoidal surfaces in Euclidean 3-space in terms of their Gauss map. We obtain a complete classification of these type of surfaces whose Gauss maps G satisfy $L_1G=f(G+C)$ for some constant vector $C{\in}\mathbb{E}^3$ and smooth function $f$, where $L_1$ denotes the Cheng-Yau operator.

  • We study the Gauss and Poisson semigroups connected with the Riemann-Liouville operator defined on the half plane. Next, we establish a principle of maximum for the singular partial differential operator $${\Delta}_{\alpha}={\frac{{\partial}^2}{{\partial}r^2}+{\frac{2{\alpha}+1}{r}{\frac{\partial}{{\partial}r}}+{\frac{{\partial}^2}{{\partial}x^2}}+{\frac{{\partial}^2}{{\partial}t^2}}};\;(r,x,t){\in}]0,+{\infty}[{\times}{\mathbb{R}}{\times}]0,+{\infty}[$$. Later, we define the Littlewood-Paley g-function and using the principle of maximum, we prove that for every $p{\in}]1,+{\infty}[$, there exists a positive constant $C_p$ such that for every $f{\in}L^p(d{\nu}_{\alpha})$, $${\frac{1}{C_p}}{\parallel}f{\parallel}_{p,{\nu}_{\alpha}}{\leqslant}{\parallel}g(f){\parallel}_{p,{\nu}_{\alpha}}{\leqslant}C_p{\parallel}f{\parallel}_{p,{\nu}_{\alpha}}$$.

  • Let ($M^3$, $g$) be a 3-dimensional closed Sasakian spin manifold. Let $S_{min}$ denote the minimum of the scalar curvature of ($M^3$, $g$). Let ${\lambda}^+_1$ > 0 be the first positive eigenvalue of the Dirac operator of ($M^3$, $g$). We proved in [13] that if ${\lambda}^+_1$ belongs to the interval ${\lambda}^+_1{\in}({\frac{1}{2}},\;{\frac{5}{2}})$, then ${\lambda}^+_1$ satisfies ${\lambda}^+_1{\geq}{\frac{S_{min}+6}{8}}$. In this paper, we remove the restriction "if ${\lambda}^+_1$ belongs to the interval ${\lambda}^+_1{\in}({\frac{1}{2}},\;{\frac{5}{2}})$" and prove $${\lambda}^+_1{\geq}\;\{\frac{S_{min}+6}{8}\;for\;-\frac{3}{2}<S_{min}{\leq}30, \\{\frac{1+\sqrt{2S_{min}}+4}{2}}\;for\;S_{min}{\geq}30$$.
