Since 2003, the biggest trade partner of South Korea has not been America but China. China appears to be a strong competitor of South Korea in every field of international market and even in IT industry, which has been one of the most competitive field of Korean Economy. IT Industry is now becoming a driving locomotive of economy in South Korea and China. It is reported that the IT gap between South Korea and China is shorten to be 1.7 years in 2006, from 2.6 years in 2003 and will be within one year in 2010. China has been aware of the urgent need of developing electronic and information industry in order to improve its productivity. In the results of the efforts to develop its IT industry, China has achieved average 25% yearly growth rate of IT manufacturing industry since 1991. Since 2004, South Korea has pursued IT 839 strategy. How South Korea and China can sustain the continuous development of IT industry. South Korea IT is expected to utilize China's through the mutual cooperation, which results in mutual benefit. To achieve the mutually benefited cooperation and specially to result in Small & Medium sized Korean companies' cooperation with China's, China is expected to improve the market system and create an environment of admitting intellectual property.

An ad hoc network is a collection of mobile nodes without any Infrastructure. However, ad hoc networks are vulnerable to attacks such as routing disruption and resource consumption; thus, routing protocol security is needed This paper proposes a secure and efficient routing protocol for mobile ad hoc networks, where only one-way hash function are used to authenticate nodes in the ROUTE REQUEST, while additional public-key cryptography is used to guard against active attackers disguising a node in the ROUTE REPLY.

The global market for mobile phone business is already matured. Accordingly， the repurchasing issue for the mobile phone is being weighted drastically by the marketers. The purpose of this research is to investigate the relationships among seven crucial factors, and also examines the differences between Korean and Indonesian markets concerning the relationships of these key success factors. This research classifies these two markets as a matured market and an emerging market respectively. The structural model is tested with the data from each of the sub-samples. The analysis of the multi-group structural equation model (MSEM) showed that compared to Korean, Indonesian had more emphasized on extra-functions for the mobile phone as well as giving more influence on satisfaction from brand image. Due to the different market situation and users, the lessons to which product features must be more emphasized could be obtained for the product managers in the industry.

As huge amount of literature including biological data is being generated after post genome era, it becomes difficult for researcher to find useful knowledge from the biological databases. Bio-text mining and related natural language processing technique are the key issues in the intelligent knowledge retrieval from the biological databases. We propose a bio-text mining technique for the biologists who find Knowledge from the huge literature. At first, web robot is used to extract and transform related literature from remote databases. To improve retrieval speed, we generate an inverted file for keywords in the literature. Then, text mining system is used for extracting given knowledge patterns and keywords. Finally, we construct a grid computing environment to guarantee processing speed in the text mining even for huge literature databases. In the real experiment for 10,000 bio-literatures, the system shows 95% precision and 98% recall.

This paper presents the practice of multitexturing in the Internet for enhancing the image quality of 3D contents, where the attributes of objects such as textures are dynamically changed. We explain the empirical results of realizing the X3D nodes related with multitexturing in the recent X3D viewers, and discuss the directions for upgrading X3D viewers that satisfy the user requirements and the advanced graphics accelerators.

In computing, the word "ubiquitous" indicates an environment in which users have access to networks without any limitation regarding computer networks or places. Important issues in building Ubiquitous Korea (U-Korea) are the social problems appearing with a rapid increase in the old age population. Nowadays, with the rise of the nuclear family, the increase in the number of elderly people living alone, and the change in the status of women, both wives and husbands are employed outside the home, and the relatives who would be responsible for supporting the elderly sometimes are on long or short business trips, and it happens that old people can't be looked after. Therefore the government developed a wireless paging system for the sick, disabled, old and weak so that when an emergency happens, by just simply dialing 119, an emergency aid center could take prompt action. However, the present wireless paging systems composing the under-layer of the emergency aid information system have some problems, such as, a lack of reliability, problems among terminals, mobile transmitters and receiving terminals, the users' refusal to admit the need for the system and poor operational skills, administrators' perfunctory management and checks, etc. On account of these problems, the system efficiency has degraded and therefore a system upgrade is necessary. In this paper, we attempt to evaluate the newly implemented SAFE119 system, a new wireless paging system seeking to correct the problems of the current system.

For Rapid change of business process, BPM(Business Process Management) has been required in order to help cooperations have a fast, active and easy to re-set business process. In the beginning of BPM introduction, there was a hash competition between Korean and foreign BPM solution companies but so far few studies have been accomplished. In order to achieve the study purpose, survey method was applied As a result. it was revealed that service quality had significant effects on customer satisfaction in e-learning site. The influential factors of service quality on customer satisfaction included convenience of use, personalization, tangibles, responsiveness, and reliability in learning site. In addition, service quality had significant effects on e-loyalty as well.

In the existing ISP methods, the important' role of enterprise value is usually ignored or not recognized in the information systems planning (ISP). Besides, in some ISP methods, there is a connotative precondition that the main body of value is always the enterprise stakeholder. Thus, in ISP, the enterprise stakeholders‘ value has been recognized while the value of other main bodies has been neglected, which has resulted in boycott and other problems in normalization construction. Based on the existing ISP analysis frame and ways, this article analyzes the enterprise fundamental principle of enterprise value acting on ISP and defines the formation of enterprise value. On the basis of Keeney's analysis way of value focused thinking for decision-making, we induct the factors of enterprise value into the ISP method and set forth such an ISP process: (1) identify the aggregation of enterprise value; (2) conform the objective structure of enterprise levels; (3) determine the appraisal standard for enterprise fundamental objectives; (4) determine the basic structure for information systems ; (5) confirm the data requirements for information systems; (6) give appraisal and comment.

This article focuses on the psychometric stability of the technology acceptance model (TAM) by Davis [8] when applied to laptop usage in the educational settings. Using a survey of 297 users, this research provides evidence that the TAM provides a model for a valid and reliable measure to use among students in assessing their perceptions of laptop usage. Given this evidence, those involved with implementation and training in laptop environment can confidently apply the instrument.

The overall objective of this paper is to suggest the research model for measuring the ERP performance in Korean manufacturing firms. To this end, the previous research papers on the ERP measurement were reviewed and the 356 questionnaires are collected. In particular, the effects of mediation variables including a firm size, user satisfaction, and usage will be tested.

We propose an XML document storage system, called XDMS (XML Document Management System), by using an object-relational DBMS. XDMS generates object database schema from XML Schema and stores the XML documents in an object-relational database. SAX parser is used for understanding the structure of the XML documents, and XDMS transforms the documents into objects in the database. Experiment shows that object-relational databases provide more efficient storage and query model compared with relational databases.
