Aim & Scope
The International Journal of Advanced Smart Convergence(IJASC) is an international interdisciplinary journal published by the Institute of Internet, Broadcasting and Communication (IIBC). The journal aims to present the advanced smart convergence of all academic and industrial fields through the publication of original research papers. These papers present the original and novel findings as well as important results along with various articles that have the greastest possible impact on various disciplines from the wide areas of Advanced Smart Convergence(ASC). With the emergence of the new era of the 4th industrial revolution, compute-bound workloads with large memory footprint like big data processing increase dramatically. Even in such compute-bound workloads, however, we observe bulky I/Os while loading big data from storage to memory. Although file I/O cache plays a role of accelerating the performance of storage I/O, we found out that the cache hit rate in such environments is not improved even though we increase the file I/O cache capacity because of some special I/O references generated by compute-bound workloads. To cope with this situation, we propose a new file I/O cache management policy that improves the cache hit rate for compute-bound workloads significantly. Trace-driven simulations by replaying file I/O reference logs of compute-bound workloads show that the proposed cache management policy improves the cache hit rate compared to the well-acknowledged CLOCK algorithm by a large margin.

Safety and security are the topmost priority in every environment. With the aid of Artificial Intelligence (AI), many objects are becoming more intelligent, conscious, and curious of their surroundings. The recent scientific breakthroughs in autonomous vehicular designs and development; powered by AI, network of sensors and the rapid increase of Internet of Things (IoTs) could be utilized in maintaining safety and security in our environments. AI based on deep learning architectures and models, such as Deep Neural Networks (DNNs), is being applied worldwide in the automotive design fields like computer vision, natural language processing, sensor fusion, object recognition and autonomous driving projects. These features are well known for their identification, detective and tracking abilities. With the embedment of sensors, cameras, GPS, RADAR, LIDAR, and on-board computers in many of these autonomous vehicles being developed, these vehicles can properly map their positions and proximity to everything around them. In this paper, we explored in detail several ways in which these enormous features embedded in these autonomous vehicles, such as the network of sensors fusion, computer vision and natural image processing, natural language processing, and activity aware capabilities of these automobiles, could be tapped and utilized in safeguarding our lives and environment.

Joint Demosaicing and Super-resolution of Color Filter Array Image based on Deep Image Prior NetworkIn this paper, we propose a learning based joint demosaicing and super-resolution framework which uses only the mosaiced color filter array(CFA) image as the input. As the proposed method works only on the mosaicied CFA image itself, there is no need for a large dataset. Based on our framework, we proposed two different structures, where the first structure uses one deep image prior network, while the second uses two. Experimental results show that even though we use only the CFA image as the training image, the proposed method can result in better visual quality than other bilinear interpolation combined demosaicing methods, and therefore, opens up a new research area for joint demosaicing and super-resolution on raw images.

In this paper, for the purpose of designing an real-time unmanned monitoring system, the YOLOv5s (small) object detection model was applied on the NVIDIA TX2TM AI (Artificial Intelligence) edge computing platform in order to design the fundamental function of an unmanned monitoring system that can detect objects in real time. YOLOv5s was applied to the our real-time unmanned monitoring system based on the performance evaluation of object detection algorithms (for example, R-CNN, SSD, RetinaNet, and YOLOv5). In addition, the performance of the four YOLOv5 models (small, medium, large, and xlarge) was compared and evaluated. Furthermore, based on these results, the YOLOv5s model suitable for the design purpose of this paper was ported to the NVIDIA TX2TM AI edge computing system and it was confirmed that it operates normally. The real-time unmanned monitoring system designed as a result of the research can be applied to various application fields such as an security or monitoring system. Future research is to apply NMS (Non-Maximum Suppression) modification, model reconstruction, and parallel processing programming techniques using CUDA (Compute Unified Device Architecture) for the improvement of object detection speed and performance.

Because fine dust (PM10) has a close effect on the environment, fine dust generated in the climate and living environment has a bad effect on the human body. In this study, the LSTM model was applied to predict and analyze the effect of fine dust on Gwangju Metropolitan City in Korea. This paper uses prediction values of input variables selected through correlation analysis to confirm fine dust prediction performance. In this paper, data from the Gwangju Metropolitan City area were collected to measure fine dust. The collection period is one year's worth of data was used from january to December of 2021, and the test data was conducted using three-month data from January to March of 2022. As a result of this study, in the as a result of predicting fine dust (PH10) and ultrafine dust (PH2.5) using the LSTM model, the RMSE was 4.61 and the test result value was as low as 4.37. This reason is judged to be the result of the contents of the one-year sample.

In this study, there are many difficulties in defining and judging creative people because there is no systematic analysis method using accurate standards or numerical values. Analyze and judge whether In the previous study, A study on the application of rule success cases through machine learning algorithm extraction, a case study was conducted to help verify or confirm the psychological personality test and aptitude test. We proposed a solution to a research problem in psychology using machine learning algorithms, Data Mining's Cross Industry Standard Process for Data Mining, and CRISP-DM, which were used in previous studies. After that, this study proposes a solution that helps to judge creative people by applying the feature selection algorithm. In this study, the accuracy was found by using seven feature selection algorithms, and by selecting the feature group classified by the feature selection algorithms, and the result of deriving the classification result with the highest feature obtained through the support vector machine algorithm was obtained.

The purpose of our study is to examine the influence of telepresence on cultural heritage attachment in the context of virtual museum. We determined the effect of telepresence on visitors' aesthetic and educational experiences and how these experiences affect visitors' perceptions of virtual museum service value. Moreover, we investigate the effect of perceived virtual museum service value on museum attachment and cultural heritage attachment. A total of 143 visitors were sampled through an online survey focusing on Chinese virtual museum visitors. The results show that all the paths presented significant effects. Additionally, it was found that telepresence indirectly influences cultural heritage attachment through education experience and perceived virtual museum value. The theoretical and practical implications are also provided. An important implication is that online virtual museum is essential to raise visitors' education experience and their cultural heritage attachment. Thus, virtual museum should take initiative to enhance virtual reality to ensure traditional culture education and formation their cultural heritage attachment.

In this paper, w-band frequency synthesizer was developed for frequency-modulated continuous wave (FMCW) radar sensors. To achieve a small size and high performance, We designed and manufactured w-band MMIC chips such as up-converter one-chip, multiplier, DA (Drive Amplifier) MMIC(Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuit), etc. And interposer technology was applied between the W-band multiplier and the DA MMIC chip. As a result, the measured phase noise was -106.10 dBc@1MHz offset, and the frequency switching time of the frequency synthesizer was less than 0.1 usec. Compared with the w-band frequency synthesizer using purchased chips, the developed frequency synthesizer showed better performance. -
In this study, we study of luminescent solar concentrators comprise thick glass with broadband antireflection coating deposited on the top surfaces and inorganic phosphor layers contacted on the bottom surfaces. Solar cells are contacted to the lateral surfaces of the glass. Experimental results show the broadband antireflection coating increased the short-circuit current of the solar cell.

In recent years, with the continuous innovation and upgrading of engine software, the real-time rendering technology in film and television has been continuously improved, and the virtual production technology has also developed rapidly. This paper introduces the green screen often used in traditional film production and a virtual production technology based on light-emitting-diode background wall that was proposed and implemented last year. We analyzed the two production methods of virtual production and compared their characteristics. Based on these results, we can better understand the differences and respective advantages of the two production methods. And we also can according to the production budget, production cycle and the creative and technical capabilities of the team make better choices during the production process. We believe virtual production technology will be production in the future to provide a more solid technical guarantee for the development of the film industry, and this work will pave the way for further research on virtual production technology.

The third-person side view game perspective of side-scrolling games makes playing such games a completely different gaming experience from other traditional games. Nowadays, many game elements are combined with each other, and horror and puzzle elements are often combined to appear in side-scrolling games, bringing players a unique gaming experience. In such games, players seem to be watching their own manipulation of characters. The performance is the same as a stage play, so how to let players better experience such a horror and puzzle-solving stage play through the design of the characters is a key point. However, it is often difficult to accurately classify only from game elements, so first of all, the author will explain the game division of the side scrolling horror puzzle game. Genshin Impact is an open-world action role-playing game launched by miHoYo in 2020 and has been released on multiple platforms. Due to the excellent character design, it has received widespread attention once it was released, and it has been ranked in the top 10 best-selling lists in several countries after a few weeks of launch. This article will first analyze the map design of the game's open world, and what elements are used on the game map to allow players to immerse themselves in it. Then, in the gameplay of the game, a rich and varied combat system is formed by using the relationship between the elements to restrain each other.There is also a card drawing system added to it, which makes the acquisition of characters full of randomness and allows more players to participate in it. The relationship between sound and vision was experimentally confirmed by physicist Ernst Florens Friedrich Chladni as early as the 18th century and formally entered into systematic research. With the development of emerging media technology, sound reactive type visual content is not limited to a single visual interaction based on the vibration of sound, and its visual content shows a diversified and scalable development trend according to different purposes in many fields. This study analyzes the development and changes of sound visual art contents from early stage to modernization, and analyzes the development characteristic of sound visual art content in different fields and scene environments influence by interactive media, new media technologies and devices by means of case analysis. Through this research, it is expected that the sound reactive type visual art content can continue to develop and extend in the existing fields, while explore the scalability of the application of sound reactive type visual art content in more fields.

The development of the 4th industry has increased social media, and the rise of COVID-19 has stimulated non-face-to-face services. People's consumption patterns are also changing a lot due to non-face-to-face services. In this paper, food content keywords are derived through social network-based semantic network analysis, emotions are analyzed, and keywords applied to food recommendation platforms are input. We collected food, influencer, and corona keyword analysis data through Textom. A lot of research has been done through online reviews of existing influencer content. However, there is a lack of research on keyword sentiment analysis provided by influencers rather than consumers and research perspectives. This paper uploads language and topics derived through online reviews of existing publications and subscribers, and goes beyond the limits used in marketing methods. By analyzing keywords that influencers suggest when uploading content, you can apply data that applies them to food recommendation platforms and applications. -
Smart home systems for safety and security are in high demand and always needed for many reasons including people's desire to feel safe in their own houses and to avoid a high rate of crime. In the current research, we investigate the role of individuals' motivational orientation to prevention in their responses to smart home systems for safety and security. That is, this research examines whether individuals' attitudes toward smart home systems for safety and security vary depending on their level of prevention orientation. Specifically, it is hypothesized that individuals with strong (vs. weak) prevention orientation will have more positive attitudes toward smart home systems for safety and security. In support of the hypothesis, the results indicate that respondents in the strong (vs. weak) prevention orientation reported significantly more positive attitudes toward smart home systems for safety and security. Our findings imply that individuals' motivational orientation to prevention may be an effective marketing and segmentation tool in facilitating their favorable responses to the smart home systems for safety and security.

The recent development of information and communication technology has a great impact on the audio/video industry. In particular, IP-based AoIP transmission technology and AVB technology are making changes in the audio/video market. Video signal transmission technology has been introduced to the market through a network, but it has not replaced the video switcher function. Video signals in the conference room or classroom are still controlled by the switching device. In order to switch input/output video devices, a cable that is not limited by distance must be connected to the switcher. In addition, the control of the switching device must be performed by a person who has received professional training. In this paper, it is a technology that can be operated even by non-experts by replacing complex video cables (RGB, DVI, HDMI, DP) with LAN cables and enabling IP-based video switching and transmission (Video Mirroring over IP: VMoIP) to replace video switcher equipment. We are going to do this study, I/O videos were controlled in the form of matrix and high-definition videos were transmitted without distortion, and VMoIP is expected to become the standard for video switching systems in the future. -

Nowadays, people consume a lot of content such as web dramas or K-pop videos through mobile devices such as smartphones, and the market for indirect advertisements through these web dramas or K-pop videos is also increasing every year. In order to lead to the immediate purchase of indirect products in web dramas, a system that allows consumers to purchase immediately at the time the products appear in the drama is needed. In this paper, we propose a system to allow viewers to purchase products worn by celebrities immediately when viewers see and click on them. When a user clicks on a video, it recognizes the product worn by the celebrity, and displays information on the screen on the most similar product corresponding to the recognized product, allowing them to go to the seller's site where they can purchase it. In order for such a system to operate stably, a pose estimation and siamese network-based system is proposed. The proposed system will primarily be released as a streaming service in the form of an app or web page that connects the products in web dramas or other K-pop video contents screened on the mobile with e-commerce. Furthermore, in the future, the technology is expected to be used globally in various industries such as smart mobility and display kiosks. -
This thesis examines a significant way to enhancing and improving the term/phenomenon of performer training system in contemporary Korean theatre. To articulate the matters, this research engages in discussing and criticizing those problematic issues that we, as an instructor/trainer, have faced with through the last decades in the field of performer training and education. Specifically, we concern with the necessity of an applicable and appropriate educational/training system where each student-actor would discover his/her own adaptability by evaluating what a specific method and approach is. This atmosphere accurately provided by an instructor/trainer can also facilitate and enhance the young students' potential possibilities and/or talent, that is, as we argue a way to accomplish each performer's true nature. To achieve the goals, we underlie the necessity of establishing and/or settling performer training program/course by means of an alternative path. The research finding shows that within the atmosphere each student could share then interrogate what a possible or ideal way is according to his/her comprehensive understandings with clearer purpose: what kind of performers would you produce, train, and/or educate.

We study confirmed the relationship between the adversity index, entrepreneurial orientation, and organizational learning competency perceived by organizational members as follows. First, the adversity index showed a positive (+) effect on entrepreneurial orientation (hypothesis 1) and organizational learning competency (hypothesis 2). Second, the entrepreneurial orientation was statistically significant in organizational learning competency (hypothesis 3). Third, the partial mediating role of entrepreneurial orientation (Hypothesis 4) was confirmed in the process of the adversity index affecting organizational learning competency. Meanwhile, the main implications of this study are as follows. First, it is the aspect that provides additional theoretical implications in the reality that studies on the adversity index and entrepreneurial orientation that affect organizational learning competency are lacking. Second, it is the aspect that the importance of adversity index and start-up orientation was confirmed in improving organizational learning competency based on securing differentiated competitiveness for the advancement of the organization's sustainability management system. In addition, it is the aspect of drawing practical implications for strategic human resource management and human resource development to systematically improve it.

The impact of the information technology industry on economic development is becoming increasingly important. In this study, we take China's provincial-level regions from 2015 to 2020 as the research object, comprehensively evaluates the level of their information technology systems by the entropy weight method, and then measures the coupling coordination relationship between the information technology system and the economic development system by the coupling coordination degree model. As a result, we found that the income of the information technology industry, the investment of talents and science research have the most important influence on the level of the information technology system. During the research period, with increasing values, the coupling degree of the two systems was at a high level. Affected by development strategies, diffusion effects and industrial relocation, the coupling degree in the central and western regions has shown a rapid growth trend. The coordination degree of the two systems is relatively low, and 83.9% of the provinces are in the medium-low coordination stage. The information technology industry has obviously promoted economic development. Besides, relevant policies should be introduced to effectively support and guide the high-quality development of the information technology industry and promote the high-level coordinated development of the two systems.

Nursing students who play a role as future nursing professions are provided with education through various teaching and learning methods in order to develop necessary competencies. The purpose of this study is to confirm the effect of nursing practice education using multimedia. A quasi experimental study with a nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design was used, and the participants of the study were students from two nursing colleges, who received an educational intervention using multimedia as the experimental group and those without education were selected as the control group. Data collection was conducted immediately before and after educational intervention, and data analysis was performed using the SPSS 21.0 program by x2-test, Fisher's exact probability, and t-test. As a result of the study, the experimental group was statistically significant in self-efficacy (t=3.402, p=0.015), resilience (t=2.047, p=0.045) and performance confidence (t=2.128, p=0.018) compared to the control group. Through these results, we could confirm that multi-media practical education is effective educational method for enhancing nursing students' self-efficacy, resilience, and performance confidence. Therefore, in order to establish a systematization of the nursing profession, it is essential and should be continued for nursing students to use structured multimedia and core fundamental nursing skills.

The purpose of this paper is output oriented, in order to maximize the output level of sustainable development efficiency of foreign trade in western China with limited input. This paper adopts the relevant input-output indicators of sustainable foreign trade development of 11 provinces and cities in western China from 2016 to 2020, and uses DEA model to measure their technical efficiency, pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency. Malmquist index was used to calculate the total factor productivity change index of each province in western China from 2016 to 2020. We found that, on the whole, the average values of technical efficiency, pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency of provinces and cities in western China from 2016 to 2020 are greater than 0.8, indicating that the western region has high technical efficiency, relatively high management and institutional level and high existing scale level. Scale efficiency is lower than pure technical efficiency on the whole, indicating that the current sustainable development efficiency of foreign trade in western China is mainly limited by its scale level. The technological progress index is higher than the technological efficiency change index, indicating that the total factor productivity of the sustainable development of foreign trade in western China is mainly driven by technological progress and more influenced by external factors. We think the conclusion of this study can provide important reference information for the sustainable development of foreign trade of provinces and cities in western China.

There have been various studies in Korea to develop a %IMF(Intramuscular Fat Percentage) estimation method suitable for Hanwoo. Recently, a %IMF estimation method using a convolutional neural network (CNN), a kind of deep learning method among artificial intelligence methods, has been studied. In this study, we performed a performance comparison when various preprocessing methods were applied to the %IMF estimation of ultrasound images using CNN as mentioned above. The preprocessing methods used in this study are normalization, histogram equalization, edge enhancement, and a method combining normalization and edge enhancement. When estimating the %IMF of Hanwoo by the conventional method that did not apply preprocessing in the experiment, the accuracy was 98.2%. The other hand, we found that the accuracy improved to 99.5% when using preprocessing with histogram equalization alone or combined regularization and edge enhancement.

This study is a one-group pretest-posttest design to evaluate the effect of problem-based learning (PBL) for patient safety on self-leadership, patient safety competencies, and reflective thinking of nursing students. The research was conducted from March 2 to April 15, 2022, in which 57 nursing students participated. PBL for patient safety was examined in a total of 8 sessions in the order of motivation, problem identification, task performance planning, problem-solving methods, summary and solution, presentation, and evaluation. The following topics of patient safety were selected for each team: nursing records, high-alert medication, medication error and intravenous fluid regulation, blood transfusion care, fall, bedsore, infection control, and pain management. We provided feedback on the learning process and outcomes of nursing students. According to the results, self-leadership showed a statistically significant improvement in self-expectations (t=2.60, p=0.01), goal setting (t=2.84, p<0.01), self-reward (t=3.32, p<0.01), and self-criticism (t=2.32, p=0.02). Patient safety competencies showed a statistically significant improvement in patient safety knowledge (t=13.05, p<0.001) and patient safety skills (t=4.87, p<0.001) but not in reflective thinking. The results prove that PBL for patient safety is an effective teaching-learning strategy to improve self-leadership and patient safety competencies. Future studies must develop and validate specific and long-term teaching-learning methods to improve reflective thinking.

To achieve the higher network capacity and mass connectivity in the forthcoming mobile network, revolutionary technologies have been considered. Recently, an upper bound on capacity of intelligent reflecting surface (IRS) transmissions towards the sixth generation (6G) mobile systems has been proposed. In this paper, we consider a tighter upper bound on capacity of IRS transmissions than the existing upper bound. First, using integration by parts, we derive an upper bound on capacity of IRS transmissions under Rician fading channels and a Rayleigh fading channel. Then, we show numerically that the proposed upper bound is closer to Monte Carlo simulations than the existing upper bound. Furthermore, we also demonstrate that the bounding error of the proposed upper bound is much smaller than that of the existing upper bound, and the superiority of the proposed upper bound over the existing upper bound becomes more significant as the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) increases.

Pandemic situations such as COVID-19 can occur supply chain crisis. Under the supply chain crisis, delivering farm products from the farm to the city is also very challenging. Therefore it is essential to prepare food sufficiency people who live in a city. We firmly insist on food self-production/consumption systems in each home. However, since it is impossible to grow high-quality crops without expertise knowledge. Therefore expert system is essential to grow high-quality crops in home. To address this problem, we propose a smart kitchen farm as a data-based monitoring system and platform with ICT convergence technology. Our proposed approach 1) collects data and makes judgments based on expert knowledge for home users, 2) increases product quality of the smart kitchen farms by predicting abnormal/normal crops, and 3) controls each personal home cultivation environment through data-based monitoring within the smart central server. We expect people can cultivate high-quality crops in thir kitchens through this system without expert knowledge about cultivation. -
Recently, the popularization of personal mobility(PM) has made it possible to see many electric scooters. The energy source of personal transportation used by the general public and the disabled can be seen as environmentally friendly as electricity. Personal transportation means are divided into small electric vehicles because they use electric energy, and they are being treated as new models by automobile manufacturers in each country and spurring development. On the other hand, personal transportation means may cause various types of traffic accidents as they travel between roads and a human walk. In order to prevent such accidents, it is judged that the enactment of laws on the establishment of specifications for electric scooters, which are personal transportation means, and the method of restricting road operation should be given priority. The electric scooter is basically different from the conventional vehicle. The steering shaft of the steering system applied to the electric scooter one to two is possible. 1 to 2 the front-wheel under the steering column is used. It is classified according to the number of wheel installed at the electric scooter is the vehicle body into 2 wheel - electric scooter, and 3 wheel - electric scooter and 4 wheel - electric scooter. In this study, we propose a steering shaft design model that can be applied to an electric scooter, one of personal transportation means. A design model for 1-shaft steering and 2-shafts steering that can be applied to electric scooters is proposed. In addition, we have produced the prototypes for the commercialization of the proposed models, and reviewed the pros and cons of the manufactured prototypes and models.
