In this paper, We measured an electric and optical characteristics for electrodeless fluorescent lamp system. We used the CCD(charged couple device) and Integrating Sphere Photometer to detect the accurate variation of data and got a characteristic of output voltage and current, luminance, luminous flux etc. And then we come to understand that the efficiency of electrodeless fluorescent lamps are similar to CFLs(compact fluorescent lamp) or HID(high intensity discharge lamp).

Electrodeless fluorescent Lamp Technology Using High-Frequency Discharges (Linear and Circular Type)본 과제는 한국 에너지관리공단의 지원으로 고효율의 100-W 급 고주파 방전 형광램프 광원 기술을 개발하는 프로젝트로 경쟁성 있는 원천 기술을 개발하여 기술 이전에 의한 사업화를 궁극적인 목표를 갖고 수행하고 있다. 제 1 차 년도에서는 당초계획보다 앞당겨 형광 램프의 효율을 높이는 실험을 수행하여 일차적으로 괄목할 결과를 얻었다. 기술적으로 유도형+용량형 결합의 혼합형 방전 회로를 채택하여 순수한 용량형 결합 방전에 의한 조도보다 25% 이상의 조도 증가를 성취 하였다. 이 같은 결과는 직관형 및 환형 무전극 형광등에서 정도의 차이는 있으나 같은 경향의 결과를 성취 하였다. 전기적 및 방전 물리의 최적화로 두 경우 다 괄목할 개선을 이룰 수 있을 것이다. 다른 한편으로는 연구개발에 필요한 장비를 사업 종료 후 상품화 기술 개발을 위한 장비로 활용할 수 있도록 시스템 디자인 및 장비 구축도 수행 하였다. 제 2차 년도에서는 1차년도의 긍정적인 결과를 바탕으로 시스템 전반에 걸친 최적화를 기도하고, 상용화에 대비하는 시제품 개발에 정진 할 것이다. 부록에는 연구 개발에 필요한 주요 연구 장비의 성능 및 활용 방법을 첨부 하였다.

Power supply technique for electrodeless lamps, especially Endura of Osram, is presented in this paper. The power supply uses a conventional power factor correction technique due to its proved performance. But in the inverter stage, resonant converter with parallel loading scheme is used to mitigate the variation of matching circuit characteristics by time varying load. Less performance but sufficient to predict future success compared to Osram's one is verified as a result of experiment of the prototype.

Electroded lamps operated at a high enough frequency can usually be modeled for the purpose of ballast design, as a resistor. Electrodeless fluorescent lamps include other components such as the arc tube's inductance. But that's impedance is small and so will be neglected in this paper. So, electrodeless fluorescent lamps is modeled as a resistor. A SPICE compatible model was developed for an electrodeless fluorescent lamp(OSRAM SYLVANIA ICETRON/ENDURA 150W).

반도체 1장을 가공하는데는 약 300개 공정에 3개월이 소요되며, 반도체 3사의 2000년도 순이익은 4조 7천억 원에 달할 것으로 전망된다. 이렇게 엄청난 부가가치 때문에 업계 뿐 아니라 국가적으로도 심혈을 기울이고 있으나 가곡기술과 물량에선 선진국일 뿐 반도체를 가공할 수 있는 장비는 전량 외산에 의존하고 있다. 이러한 현상은 미국이나 일본 등 반도체 분야 선진국들과의 경쟁에서 뒤쳐질 수 밖에 없는 구조적인 단점을 가지고 있다. 이를 극복하기 위해서 반도체 제조 장비의 국산화가 시급하며 그중 하나인 Chamber내에서 Plasma를 발생시키고 자동정합할 수 있는 시스템을 설계하고 제작코자 한다.

Period which does an electric condition of panel in reset in the driving method of PDP is reset period. This research experimentally analyzed the priming discharge characteristic of reset period. The amount of wall charge and the accumulation time accumulated by priming discharge are unrelated to width of priming pulse. And, self-erase discharge has the relation in the amount of wall charge by priming discharge. Then, it relates also to space charge generated by priming discharge. Moreover, space charge which helps self-erase discharge exists to about 22
$mutextrm{s}$ after generating priming discharge. And, it is suitable within 12$mutextrm{s}$ of priming pulse width for efficient reset. -
원점(초점)에 놓인 광원(점광원)으로부터 방사된 ray들을 광축과 평행하게 진행하도록 그 진로의 방향을 바꾸어주는 것이 대형등명기의 광학부(중심렌즈부, 굴절링부, 절사프리즘부) 역할이다. 그래서 광학부에 대한 정밀한 설계가 이루어져야 하지만, 기존의 광학부 설계법은 어떤 설계 조건과 제작환경에 맞지 않는다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 Ray Tracing과 배광예측 프로그램인 Photopia 시뮬레이션을 통해 그 설계의 문제점을 찾고, 설계조건과 제작환경에 맞는 최적의 설계가 되도록 개선안을 제시하고 설계법을 도출하였다. 단, 초점에 위치한 광원은 모두 점광원으로 하였다.

축구 경기장의 조명타워 설치는 경기자, 진행자, 관중, 방송관계자에게 최적의 조도를 제공하는데 중요한 요소가 된다. 그러나 시공현장에서 조명타워 설치시 KS규격과 FIFA기준을 만족하지 못하는 경우가 종종 발생하고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서 이러한 문제점을 해결하여 최적의 조도분포를 확보하여 국내 축구경기장에 조명타워 설치시 많은 참고가 되었으면 한다.

조명프로그램에 대하여 널리 알려진 지금, 조명프로그램의 올바른 사용법 및 적용데이터의 중요성에 대하여 알아보려 한다. 조명프로그램을 실행하기 위한 최소한의 데이터는 "등기구 배광곡선 데이터"와 "마감재표면 속성 데이터"이다. 이번 논문에서는 적용되는 조건의 변경으로 어떠한 결과의 차이가 발생되는지 알아보고, 정확한 조명데이터의 축적과 적용의 중요성을 알아보겠다. 축적과 적용의 중요성을 알아보겠다.

배광분포를 측정함으로서 조명기구의 모든 광학적 특성을 계산해낼 수 있으며 이를 바탕으로 조명설계를 수행할 수 있는데, 이러한 일련의 측정과 해석을 위해 배광측정기의 개발시에 소프트웨어 개발이 동시에 이루어져야 한다. 연구진이 현재 개발하고 있는 소프트웨어는 조명기구의 광학적 특성을 파악하는 데 있어, 상당히 유용한 것들이다. 또한, 조명설계에 있어 근본적인 문제 해결의 과학적 검증을 제공함은 물론, 더 나아가 조명계산에 있어 하나의 표준을 마련하는 데 기여할 수 있을 것으로 보인다.

지하철 역사에서의 신조명 방식을 적용(특히 승강장)하기 위하여, 우선 지하철역사의 조명 특성 및 현황을 살펴보고, 최근의 주요 신조명 방식 몇 가지를 점검해 본 후, 그중 현실적인 여건상 바람직한 조명이라고 생각되는 광파이프 조명을 중심으로 현재 일반적으로 설치된 형광등 조명 방식과 비교/검토해 보았다. 광파이프 국내공급사에서 입수한 조명 프로그램으로써 국내의 지하철 역사 승강장을 시뮬레이션 해본 결과로는, 광파이프 조명시스템(프리즘 방식)은 초기 투자가 너무 크고 효율적인 광원이 없어, 현재까지는 형광등조명보다도 약 배 이상 고비용이며 원래의 라인 조명으로서의 양호한 균제도 특성도 충분히 살리지 못하여 좀 더 발전시켜야 적합해질 것이라고 판단되었다.

The prismatic luminaire named as a dome pendent is considered to save energy and improve visibility. This luminaire is using prismatic rome, and is designed to be used in commercial and industrial high-bay applications where quality light levels and energy savings are imperative. Although this kind of luminaire needs an accurate optic calculation process, the lumanires are manufactured without such a process. Therefore the purpose of this study is to develop a numerical model to accurately predict luminous intensity distribution of luminaire with prism.

에디슨이 백열전구를 발명하면서 본격적인 조명의 발전이 이루어졌다. 현재까지 조명등의 주류로서 백열전구와 형광등이 자리 잡고 있으며, 고압 방전등의 개발과 더불어 옥외조명에서도 급속히 발전하고 있다. 특히 방전등과 같은 안정기가 필요한 조명등의 경우 전력전자용 반도체 소자와 마이크로프로세서의 획기적 발전 속도에 맞추어 고효율, 고전력화로 접목되고 있다. 다른 전력전자 응용 분야에 비해서 조명에 적용되는 것은 미미한 실정이지만 한편으로는 향후 많은 조명제어 부분에 기술적용이 가능하다. 본 논문에서는 일반적인 조명등과 안정기, 조명제어 기술 동향을 조사하여 향후 조명등과 조명기술의 발전에 도움이 되고자 한다.

본 연구는 태양광시스템의 센서와 프로그램 (타이머스위치)을 혼용한 제어시스템을 측정한 결과이다. 집광부 렌즈 초점의 정확도에 따른 효율 저감을 평가한 결과 실제 그 차이는 조사부 50cm 떨어진 곳에서 0.1lx 에서 5000lx 값 차이를 나타났다. 이는 태양광조명의 가장 중요한 핵심이 바로 태양추적의 정확성에 있는 것이다.

Daylight responsive dimming system, which is always able to automatically maintain the target illuminance, is a energy strategic system. It is importance note that the photosensor depends how to be precisely indicated workplane illuminance at any location of indoor. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to find out the optimum location and spatial characteristics of photosensor by considering the correlation for the correct calibration of workplane illuminance and photosensor signal.

This study is using the RADIANCE lighting simulation tool to determine the transmittance where the horizontal blind is installed. The transmittance is applied to DayDim program which is a lighting calculation and analysis tool. Parameters such as clear sky type, seasonal changes(the summer solstice), altitude, azimuth and horizontal blind angle at a 0
$^{\circ}$ , 45$^{\circ}$ , 90$^{\circ}$ were considered. The simulation results present that measured directional transmittances have different values according to each directional property of the horizontal blind. -
The optical current transformer using Faraday effect is the sensor to measure current that flows in any conductor. This sensor doesn't undergo the magnetic saturation and effect of adjacent conductors. But this senor using bulk-glass sensing element has crucial drawback. It is impossible that the sensor is mounted to conductor without breaking the closed-loop of light or conductor. So we developed the clamp-type optical current transformer and made an experiment.

A TVS and Varistor are preservative equipment against electro static discharge(ESD). We use a TVS for I/O protection of a circuit which has faster response time than a Varistor. And a Varistor has large power capability, therefore, which be used in input stage for internal pressure prevention. This paper will compare a TVS with a Varistor with respect to response characteristic to ESD in DC 24[V] low voltage circuit.

With the proliferation of nonlinear loads such as personal computers in an educational office building, high neutral harmonic currents have been observed. High neutral currents in three-phase four-wire distribution power systems can cause overloaded neutral conductors, overloaded transformers, voltage distortion, common mode noise, and malfuntion of protective equipment. On-site measurements of harmonic currents and voltages were made and the corresponding equivalent circuits was developed. The circuit model under study was simulated numerically and graphically through the use of the software MATLAB.

Fixed distance control system at the railway level crossing have some problem. The problem is especially serious for high speed or low speed train. Therefore present developed device is fixed time control system. But fixed time control system haven't indicate device when train reach at the railway level crossing on alarm. This paper' result in study for train reach spare time indicate device.

It is very important to assume potential distribution to be generated in electrode environs and grounding resistance by current beforehand, when incoming at grounding electrode to plan efficient grounding facilities In this paper, we analyzed grounding resistance through a simulation experiment by a water tank scaled model electrode of the rectangular earth plate, a theoretical Calculation result of the rectangular earth plate and measurement of grounding resistance buried rectangular earth plate analysing earth surface potential.

정보화 사회가 급속히 확산됨에 따라 국내외 비즈니스 환경 역시 급변하고 있다. 또한 분명한 서비스 품질 향상과 신뢰성의 확보를 위하여 국내외 IDC 사업자는 SLAs(Service Level Agreements) 제도를 시행 또는 추진하고 있다. 인터넷 서버, 계통 및 UPS등에 의한 전원품질은 인터넷 서비스 품질을 결정짓는 주요한 요소의 하나가 되고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 국내 IDC의 고조파 실태를 측정 분석하였고, 다상화(Multi-Phase)를 통한 고조파 저감 효과를 검증하였다.

Recently, power-electronics equipments or machine that microprocessor is included and computers have been installed continuously in industrial process or region of electronics customer. So concern for power quality, especially sags has been increased. Because those equipments are very sensitive to sags. The sag is phenomenon that magnitude of load voltage temporarily decreases because of power system fault. If a certain equipment in industrial process have any trouble result from sag, it can cause utility to be charged for enormous economics loss. Therefore it need to analyze the characteristic of sag and then mitigation method for sags in distribution system in odor to increase reliability. This paper gives an overview of sags characteristic due to short circuit fault in distribution system and after a general discussion of the various forms mitigation, gives a sags mitigation method with concentrating on changing the distribution system like spot network, on-site generation.

Domestic electrical construction inspection system was introduced into building site in 1963 by registered architects' law, meanwhile, inspector appointed by ministry of owners lake charge of Government managing building site. Afterwards several systems has been adopted to heal some problems each of them has revealed. These times Government granted authority for inspection on surveillancer, furthermore, formulate a supervising system which articulate the responsibilities of supervision and put it in effect as of 1st, January, 1994. This supervision system gets rid of factors causing faulty work to a considerable extent. However, as it is still in early stage, the system has various problems to overcome, For example, actual state of handling modifications of design in accordance with supervision system in field shows a difference between process provided by law and field process. Thus this study inquire and analyze actual condition of supervision system, at the same time, problems occuring in modifications of design under supervision, and then propose a way to improve it

The output voltage of Synchronous Generator is regulated constantly by field current control in excitation system. A synchronous generator is equipped with an automatic voltage regulator(AVR), which is responsible for keeping the constant output voltage under normal operating conditions about various levels. High frequency PWM converter (Current Mode Control Buck converter) type excitation system for synchronous generator is able to sustain output voltage level properly when the fault condition happened. This paper deals with the design and evaluation of the excitation system controller for a synchronous generator to improve the steady state and transient stability. The simulation and experimental results show that the proposed excitation system is improve the respons time by the AVR(automatic voltage regulator) of 50kW synchronous generator that is applied the current mode control excitation system.

Consideration for parallel operation in a high power system has been increased due to the advantages of parallel operation like as high productivity, simplicity of design, and redundancy of power. This paper discussed the parallel operation of DC-DC Converter, Which Can be used as a high power system, is studied. Based on the small signal model of DC-DC Converter, the simple and exact power stage model of parallel operation system is derived and the parallel operation system using current balance method for the uniform current distribution among the parallel operation system is discussed. To verify the high performance of the proposed DC-DC converter system for parallel operation, the simulation test of the parallel operation, which has 2 Converter modules, is accomplished.

We have taken Taguchi's parameter design approach, specifically orthogonal array, and determined the optimal levels of the selected variables through analysis of the experimental results using S/N ratio.

This paper gives an assessment criteria and reliability improvement for high frequency power supply of high efficacy electrodeless fluorescent lamp. The electrodeless fluorescent lamp system consist of electrodeless fluorescent lamp, high frequency power supply and lighting fixtures. The high frequency power supply has a shortest life at the system. Therefore It is need to assess the Failure Rate or Mean Time To Failure(MTTF) for the high frequency power supply of electrodeless fluorescent lamp system and improve the reliability at design. We suggest the assessment criteria and improve methods of the reliability on the design basis for the electodeless fluorescent system.

The Electrodeless lamp is intended as a high efficacy replacement for the incandescent reflector lamp in many applications. but Increasing awareness of electromagnetic compatibility(EMC) issues in lighting application, the problems of interference generation by electrodeless fluorescent lighting system have been highlighted. In this paper, Maxwell 2D finite element analysis program(Ansoft) is used to obtain electromagnetic properties associated with the coil and nearby structures. and also evaluated Flux B, H by changing the input current.

In this paper we introduce novel electrode structure for high efficiency discharge. We operate discharge tube under the 0.16 torr pure Xe and apply the sinusoidal wave power to the lamp with 60kHz. We measure the electric power dissipation, plasma parameters, and 828 nm IR intensity. From these data we determine the discharge efficiency, IR intensity/watt, EEDF(Electron energy distribution function). As a result we obtain that the novel electrode structure has better performance in efficiency than that of conventional external electrode system. Also we determine the EEDF for each type of electrode structure by Boltzmann stover, EELNDIF code. The result of Boltzmann equation solving show that the noble electrode system has many high energy electrons compared with the conventional system.

This paper reviews electrodeless lamp technology. The lamp has very long life time but very high cost compared to conventional lamps such as fluorescent lamp. For optimizing the overall system in performance and cost power supply as well as lamp is very important. First, the paper describes various electrodeless lamps and its market condition. Then, a lot of circuit technology for constructing the power supply is reviewed and circuit characteristics are discussed

Electrodeless fluorescent lamps utilizing an inductively coupled plasma were found to have a long lifetime and high efficacy and now are used in some indoor and outdoor apllications. This paper gives a basic data of electrodeless fluorescent lamp 'Endura'(OSRAM SYLVANIA ICETRON/ENDURA 150W). The experimetal system consist of ENDURA 150W/840 Coolwhite lamp and ENDURA 150/200-240 S ballast.

Anodizing film was prepared by anodic oxidation of pure aluminum(purity > 99.50) using DC power supply for constant current mode in an electrolytic solution of surface of sulfuric acid. Effects of pre-treatment process such as chemical polishing, acid cleaning, alkali etching before anodic oxidation, were studied to microstructures and surface morphologies. A roughness on surface of anodizing film had to be decreased for amorphous phase by anodic oxidation. A roughness on surface of anodizing film decrease as annealing temperature increased in chemical polishing.

기존의 2차원 설계법을 이용하여 3차원 압출성형 HID 반사판 형상 설계에 적용할 수 있는 3차원 설계법을 개발하였다. 이 설계법을 적용하여 터널용 HID 조명기구의 반사판 형상을 설계하고 그 성능을 예측하였다.

노면 반사특성에 관한 연구와 함께 국내에서 도로조명 설계시 적용하는 조도 휘도 환산계수에 관한 연구는, 휘도가 기준이 되는 도로 조명을 설계하는 데에 있어서 매우 중요하다. 현재 조도 휘도 환산계수를 이용하여 설계한 도로조명이 적정하게 유지되고 있는지 알아내기 위하여 실제 도로에서의 조도 및 휘도 분포를 측정하고 조도휘도 환산계수를 계산하였다.

학교 교실 조명은 교사와 학생들에게 쾌적한 명시 환경을 주어 시력 보호와 학습 효과의 향상을 도모하는데 매우 중요한 역할을 하고 있다. 이러한 교실 조명 환경의 향상을 도모하기 위한 방법으로 칠판등 개발이 이루어지고 있다. 이 논문에서는 칠판면에 일정한 조도를 제공하고 효율이 높은 칠판등용 경면 반사판 형상을 설계하는 과정을 설명하고, 반사판 설계에 있어 크기가 있는 광원에 의한 설계상의 문제점을 고찰하고자 한다.

In this paper, we described the laboratory layout of the optical CT in connection with the measurement of large current for the GIS. The aim of this study is the development and application of optical CT based on Faraday effect. It was used He-Ne laser for light source (633nm) and was used PIN-Photodiode for light receiver. The laser source passes through optical fiber in single mode. We used the polarizer to polarize the light source and the beam splitter to divide the output light, and the optical fiber is connected for the measuring the angle polarized in the magnetic field.

In consideration for evaluating urban lighting plan as culture of a society, preparing lighting plan while designing urban plan is a fundamental process. This study proposes a methodology, maintaining and embossing urban throughout preparing a long-term urban lighting plan considering overall urban space as well as improving competitive power for lighting to take an important role in total environmental design project.

With existing illumination rendering system being used in domestic, internationally developed common programs are taking over the market more than 90%. However, since the programs are established with DB designed to be most suitable for their own products, accuracy in analysis and visualized image are hardly reliable. This raises the necessities of establishing DB for domestic developed products. A method of establishing artificial luminair DB, which was studied on DB establishment in consideration of optical characteristics of domestic products with using RADIANCE program was presented in this study, and it is considered as the program of simulating light movement most accurately among all rendering programs developed so far.

We proposed a new spatio-angularly multiplexed holographic memory system using moving windows and double-focusing lens, which can eleminate crosstalk due to two neighboring moving windows(MW) in the vertical direction of the conventional MW holographic memory system and demonstated its feasibility through optical experiments.

본 연구에서는 1992년부터 정부에서 시행하고 있는 조명기기에 대한 에너지효율등급표시제도를 최저에너지효율기준 규제 제도로 전환하기 위하여 2003년∼2004년부터 단계적으로 적용할 현행 최저에너지효율기준을 상향조정한 새로운 최저에너지효율기준 설정에 대하여 연구하였다. 본 연구결과로 2002년 2월에 산업자원부고시 제2002-20호 '효율관리기자재의 운영에 관한 규정'이 개정되었다.

This paper describes the analysis of UHF signals taking place at partial discharges due to defects in GIS. To imitate the defects, two kinds of electrode were employed. One is to generate the PD due to corona discharge, and the other surface discharge. As a result, the magnitude of the UHF signals acquired from the discharges increased with the applied voltage. However, each frequency distribution trend at corona discharges and surface discharge was similar even though the applied voltage increased. Frequency distribution between corona discharge and surface discharge was clearly distinguish.

본 논문에서는 200 [W]급 저압 자외선램프용 전자식 안정기를 제작하여 전기적 특성을 측정하였다. 입력전압 220 [V], 구동주파수는 용으로, 안정된 전기적 특성을 갖는 것으로 입증되었다.

본 연구에서는 광원의 색온도와 연색성의 차이에 의한 밝음의 느낌과 조도와의 관계를 밝히기 위하여 이종 램프간, 또한 동종 램프 간의 비교 실험을 시각 대상물로 흑백 인쇄문자지와 색상지를 사용하여 수행하였다. 현재 널리 사용되고 있는 백열전구, 형광램프, 고압 나트륨램프, 메탈핼라이드램프, 무전극 방전램프를 대상으로 실험을 수행하여, 램프 간 실험 결과의 통계처리 결과, 백열전구와 무전극 방전램프, 주광색 형광램프와 무전극 방전램프, 고압 나트륨램프와 무전극 방전램프, 메탈핼라이드램프와 무전극 방전램프는 유의수준 5[%] 이내에서 결과에 분명한 차이가 있음이 밝혀졌다.

The fluoescent lamp has been successfully modeled by employing the radial variation of particle density and considering driving circuit effects on the characteristics of discharge process. The electron energy distribution is assumed to have a Maxwellian. The electron mobility and the ambipolar diffusion coefficients are considered to vary with an electron energy rather than a simple uniform value. Energy states of mercury atom in the discharge process are regarded as six levels rather than simple 4 or 5 levels. These discharge processes have been accurately solved by numerically employing mixed the FDM and the 2nd Runge-Kutta method. This model was applied to analyzing real circuit. Simulation and experimental results were presented to verify the feasibility of the modeling. Simulation and experimental results were presented to verify the feasibility of the modeling.

본 논문에서는 Class E zero-current-switching (ZCS) 인버터를 이용하여 단일 스위치로서 램프를 점등하는 타여자 방식의 전자식 안정기를 제안하였다. 이론을 통해 각 파라미터를 계산하고, PSpice 시뮬레이션을 통하여 안정상태의 램프출력을 예측하였다. 또한, MOSFET의 전압 스트레스를 고려한 스너버 회로를 구성하여 스위칭 서지전압의 발생을 억제하였으며, 실제 전자식 안정기를 제작하여 전기적 특성을 살펴보았다.

This paper is an experimental research of the design of a cell battery charger using switching methods. The developed charger in this paper can do both the equalizing current charge and floating charge. Also, it is easily transferable. Power MOS FET was used for the full bridge converter of the charger, and ZVS was applied for the switching method of the converter. Also, Customized IC was used for the control circuit in order to simplify ZVS mode. The setting current and floating current used for the charger were designed by using OP AMP. Based on the process provided by the current research, a sample converter with the power rating of 5KVA was developed and is field-testing to improve its validity and stability.

An existent hoist drive system is using each different drive equipment in control of Hoisting, traveling(T/L), traversing(T/S) driving, so there are much energy losses because of excessive weight. Also, power circuits are using relay contact, so working environment are frequent secession accident etc.. by shock on unfavorable condition, and there is danger of safety accident, maintenance has frequent problem and so on. To solve these problem, it is integrated each driving power supply in drive system for hoist control and drive, utility power supply etc.. by single device in this research. This paper presents active-clamp class-E high frequency resonant inverter with single-stage. The proposed circuit is integrated active-clamp class-E circuit to boost converter with the function of power factor correction. Boost converter is operated in positive and negative half cycle respectively at line frequency(60Hz), Such a operating in discontinuous conduction mode(DCM) of boost converter performs high power factor. By adding active-clamp circuit in class-E inverter, main switch of inverter part is operated not only ZVS(Zero Voltage Switch) but also reduced the switching voltage stress of main switch. This paper shows that simulation result using Psim 4.1 prove the validity of theoretical analysis. This proposed inverter will be able to be practically used as a power supply in various fields as induction heating applications, DC-DC converter etc.

This paper describes the instantaneous current resultant type load parallel high frequency resonant inverter consisting of three unit half-bridge serial and parallel resonant inverter can be used as power source of induction heating. This proposed inverter can reduce distribution of the switching current because of using the current of serial resonant circuit to the input current of the parallel one. The analysis of the proposed circuit is generally described by using the normalized parameters. Also, the principle of basic operating and the its characteristics are estimated by the parameters such as switching frequency(
$\mu$ ), load resistance(λ). Experimental results are presented to verify theoretical discussion. This proposed inverter will can be practically used as a power supply in various fields as induction heating application, DC-DC converter etc. -

This paper presents a novel method for measuring the ground impedance in grounding systems. A square wave current was injected to the main grounding grid through auxiliary electrode, and the test current and ground potential rise(GPR) were measured using the band-pass filter. Ground impedance was calculated from the sinusoidal waveforms of the test current and GPR in frequency range of 20~2100Hz. Also the resistance and reactance component of ground impedance were analyzed.

For accuracy of an experiment, measure changing of grounding resistance by short period after construction and investigated the efficiency of grounding's different methode of parallel connection. We could confirm on measurement's accuracy, error through comparing the theoretical value and measured value. Purpose of the grounding system design are establish a safe environment for personnel as well as the general public in the vicinity of the power system equipment, and establish a low resistance connection to earth such that protective devices detect and isolate faults quickly and potential rise of the grounding system does not exceed a value which could damage electrical equipment. This paper describes analysis of power quality in distribute network system. EDSA is used for simulations to the teal model system. Harmonic load flow, harmonic frequency scan studies, distortion levels, and filter design method. Through this paper, minimized injected harmonic by computating the capacitor of optimal filter satisfied with IEEE Std-519 applying to distribute system are analysed through detailed simulation.

The partial-discharge(PD) is accompanied by physical and chemical phenomena, such as heat, light, noise, gas, chemical transformation, electric current, and electromagnetic radiation. The PD can be detected by measuring one of these changes. Although some techniques are employed in this purpose, several obstacles interfere with an on-line measurement. Now a fiber-optic sensor for detecting ultrasonics is suggested for the on line measurement system with high accuracy. In this paper, an optical fiber sensor utilizing the principal of Mach-Zehnder interferometer was proposed to detect the discharge signal.

This study evaporates TiO
$_2$ layer thickness differently with RF sputtering method on Si Wafer(n-100). Thin film is made with the structure of Si+TiO$_2$ and Si+TiO$_2$ +Al by evaporating TiN which is used as Antireflection of superintegrated semiconductor integrated circuit with Photo Catalyst. The research is performed to increase the characteristics of photon energy according to TiO$_2$ thickness and the reliability and reproducibility of TiO$_2$ thin film. Reversal of electric Permittivity values is induced by dipole polarization shown in the dielectric of thin film. Complex electric constant ($\varepsilon$ $_1$ ,$\varepsilon$ $_2$ ) has larger peak values as it's thickness is thinner and then it is larger according to the increase of frequency. Electric Permittivity by photon energy has large value in imaginary number and is reduced exponentially by the increase of carrier density according to that of photon energy. -
In this paper the experiments of insulation characteristics by temperature change of SF6 gas and insulation characteristics about liquid SF6 in GIS(Gas Insulated Switchgear) were described. From this result, at low temperature, the breakdown voltage was increased with a drop of temperature and an increase of the inner pressure in GIS. The ability of insulation in liquid SF6 was higher than that of the highly pressurized SF6 gas.

A size of low-voltage conductor cables is determined by the voltage drop of a system, the cable impedance and the cable ampacity based on temperature correction factor in accordance with the condition of cable installation. Therefore, the proper temperature correction factor according to the condition of cable installation should be applied to determining the cable ampacity and also the skin effect and proximity effect, along with the kind and size of conductor and the condition of cable installation, should be properly considered to analyze the proper value of resistance and the reactance of the conductors. This paper addresses the systematic design flow for determining the size of low voltage level conductor cables in calculating the temperature character where error should be minimized in comparison with the general formula and which can be applied in design work for determining the size of conductor cables.

There are many economic and operational reasons to integrate fire alarm signaling system with other building automation system. Integration of this requires open network with for the standard communication protocol and careful design practices. The important point for this is also the development of intelligent control modules for replacing the conventional zone adapter in fire system. Therefore, this paper proposes an new conceptual design of the open distributed fire alarm signaling system for the integration of BAS, a new intelligent control modules with LonTalk protocol and a new control modules for power line communication. Newly proposed additions to LonWorks network make it very well suited for integrating fire systems with other building automation sub-systems and another BAS with low cost. Additionally, it is very important that best design practices, test procedures and building codes need to be modernized to accommodate integrated building systems.

This paper presented the development trend of UPS and SPS system has focused on large scale system and more convenient system to maintenance and management. In this paper, we proposed low price and high performance SPSs which can de voltage regulation, harmonic reduction, and capable capacity extension in power. These SPSs are composed by two SPSs in their functional structure, one is power control part including voltage regulation and instant voltage compensaton. The others part is web based monitoring and trend management part for more convenient to SPS operator.

An arc/spark detector (ASD) was developed is to early detect wire failures and insecure connections that may lead to fire in residents and commercial and industrial facilities. A detailed circuit design for ASD implementation along with prototype product is reported. The tests of ASD, which were successful in phase identification, in many different arc/spark locations under different loadings, and in false alarm probability, showed the ability and capability of the state-of-the-art detector in the electric fire hazard prevention.
