균일한 positive column의 상세한 이론이 충돌 단면적 곡선과 공진 방사 그리고 다단계 여기(multistage)와 이온화 과정을 고려하여 0.5에서 5mmHg 압력에서 수은과 희유가스(rare-gas)가 혼합되어 있는 D.C.형광 램프 방전에 대해 전개된다. 온도와 이온, 비여기원자, 여기원자의 밀도가 수치해석에 의하여 계산된다.

A computer program to calculate the color temperature (To) and color rendering index (Ra) of the light source was developed. Using this program and a measuring system with a monochromator and a integrating sphere, To and Ra of incandescent lamp and fluorescent lamp was calculated. As a result, it is known that To of the I/L and the F/L with a reactor ballast is changing about 40˚K with varying source voltage of 5 V. Ra variations of these lamps have a trend but can be disregarded.

A new signal processing system for real time displacement measurement in sinusoidal phase modulating interferometry is described. Although sinusoidal phase modulating interferometry is effective in measuring with high accuracy the displacement of an object, conventional signal processing takes a long time. In this method, detection of the object's displacement is easily achieved by sampling the interference signal at those times that satisfy certain conditions and by processing the sampled signals with electric circuits in real time. The delay time of this signal processing system is < 45${\mu}$s. Specially in this paper we describe all electronic circuit and optical system design

Lighting is one of the largest energy, integrated lighting system with daylight and artificial lighting has been suggested. In such system, perimeter zone can be illuminated by daylighting and the deep area of room by artificial lighting. So, the study is to develope estimation nomograph of lighting energy by turnning-off depth and lighting control systems during daytime. For the purpose, energy nomograph has been developed to apply to side-lit office guilding and the use and limitation of the nomograph has been discussed.

Temperature distribution of high pressure mercury lamp has been mesured as a function of time using spectroscopic method. Sampling signal which is synchronized by lamp voltage was used to mesure temporal line intensity at each radius. To obtain radial temprature distribution, the mesured intensity was transformed into radial line intensity by Abel's formula. Absolute temperature profile was calculater from relative intensities of spectral lines as a function of line and tube radius. The temperature profile is very similar to the electrical tube current profile.

This paper shows the characteristics of sparkover discharge in flowing air ranging from O(Reynolds number, Re to 10.52$\times$104(Re). Also, we investigated changes of dis-charge pattern for constant input power by adjustment of the Re. The important results obtained from this paper are as followers. The maxinum sparkover voltage of flowing air are about 6.3[kV] higher than those of static air. The discharge pattern can be controlled by adjustment of the Re.

This paper presents a cyclocoverter with a LC resonant circuit for a induction motor dr-ive. The cycloconverter can provide variab-le voltage and frequency three phase output while keeping the input displacement factor at 1.0. The input current wave forms are sinusoidal, and the wide output frequency ran-ge is appropriate for variable speed AC motor drives.

When oil flows and rubs against various materials in transformer, electrostatic charges are separated at the interface of the oil and the solid material. Using simplified model transformer, authors investigated the basic characteristics of the streaming electrifica-tion which is caused by forced oil circulation. As the result of the study, it was concluded that the electrostatic charge distribution on test pipe of the transformer showed larger leakage current at the inlet and the outlet.

This paper describes the development and testing of a degitial controller for heat-ing ventilating and air-conditioning system. The controller uses properational-integral control action and self tunes to provide the Zigeler-Nichols when given a step input. The algorithm has been simulated fas static pressure.

Many characteristics of space charge in insulating materials which is the cause of insulation break down was measured quantita-tively. It was confirmed that injection charge of the electrode was trapped to form mainly space charge. In the present paper, collecting potential was determined by TSSP and mean depths of space distribution was investigated by measuring variation quantity of space charge under the different bias time, voltage and temperature. Experimental resuts was in good agreement with model analysis on a stedy state.

In this paper, the technique of particul-ar harmonics elimination in three-phase PWM Inverter is discussed. And voltage control technique is derived whereby harmonics eli-mination is possible in variable voltage variable frequency three-phase I.M. The results show that experiments are in a good agreement with simulation based on the theory.
