Aim & Scope
Asia Pacific Journal of Information Systems (APJIS) is an open-access double-blinded peer review journal. APJIS publishes quarterly about 5-8 articles through a very selective review process. All published articles are available for access without any cost or fee from its official web site (http://apjis.or.kr), which contributes the knowledge growth of both academic and practitioner communities in the information systems (IS) field. APJIS has published high-quality academic articles in the IS field since 1990. The publisher of APJIS is the Korea Society of Management Information Systems (KMIS), which is the largest academic and professional society in the IS field in South Korea. Though KMIS is a regional society, its members are highly globalized, including most of the Asia Pacific areas (East, South East, Middle East, and Central Asia), Oceania, and Western areas (North America and Europe). Its prior name, Journal of MIS Research, was changed to APJIS in 2009 with a goal to be the best journal in the Asia Pacific regions. To achieve this goal, APJIS started to publish English articles from 2009 and now it became a pure English-publication journal since 2015. Along with this strategic transformation, the quantity and quality of its citation is growing fast. APJIS is listed in various academic journal databases, including the Scopus (from 2018) and the Australian Business Deans Council (ABDC) Journal Quality List (from 2019). It is currently under examination for the inclusion in the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI).
