The GPS baseline processing and the network adjustment was required a preliminary classification and check for effective work because the observation data of GPS
$3^{rd}$ order control points are enormous attain to about 12,000 points. Particularly, in baseline processing and network adjustment a inaccuracy GPS antenna heights and point names yield a gross error or a S/W computation error. For the baseline processing of observation data, the related all materials were collected and were required a final check. The factor occurring a error, in GPS the baseline processing, were inspected variously after a checking observation data. Also, baseline processing method of GPS$3^{rd}$ order control points were commented and the analysis carry out a results with a experiment. The ellipsoidal distance and height of duplication baseline was compared between adjoin campaign areas for a accuracy analysis of baseline processing. According to the result, the mean is about 1cm for horizontal direction and about 2cm for vertical direction. -
The 1st order vertical network of Korea was adjusted in 1987 at first time. This is the second adjustment of the 1st order vertical network of Korea by National Geographic Information Institute. All the levelling data were acquired by digital level with invar staff. The number of 1st order level lines are 36, and 34 level lines comprise 11 circles of level network. Backward and forward error of a few level lines are larger than the regulations of NGII, Korea. Also, 3 circles of vertical network has circuit closure error that is exceed the regulation. As the result of 1st order vertical network adjustment, the reference standard error of the vertical network was
$1.8mm/{\surd}km$ . -
Since public awareness on the importance of sea is increasing, a number of states have ratified the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea. However several problems on marine boundary making are raising due to the ambiguity of law and importance of sea area. The purpose of this study is to find a logical principal through overall consideration on decision of baseline points which is a criteria of maritime boundary delimitation. Accordingly, this paper considers the current status, problems and measures for marine boundary making and then presents an alternative on it.

Many countries have changed her geodetic reference system from local system to global system because of the global network's necessity And, also Korean geodetic reference system changed from Tokyo datum to Global geodetic reference system since 2003 as the revision of Survey Law and Korean reference ellipsoid changed from Bessel 1841 ellipsoid to GRS80. Astronomic surveying has been regarded as an important method for absolute positioning of geodetic datum in each countries under the local geodetic reference system. This paper aims to analyses distribution of geoidal heights and ellipsoidal agreement between Bessel 1841 and GRS80 ellipsoid in Korea through comparing both astrogeotic geoidal heights referred to GRS80 and Bessel 1841 ellipsoid by astronomic surveying data which have been surveyed after 1970 in Korea.

A computerization project was completed in Korea to computerize the paper cadastral maps in sheet and tile format in 2003. There were errors, which had not been found during the computerization project, as a part of efforts to implement the cadastral database. The drawing mismatching one of those errors, which has caused inconvenience to surveyors in providing the survey results in the cadastral survey. This study suggested the plan for the preparation of the accurative continuous cadastral mapping by field surveying eliminating the drawing mismatching, which may cause inconvenience to surveyors during the field surveying.

The objective of this study is to improve an accuracy of PWV estimates using GPS in Korea. We determined a weighted mean temperature equation by a linear regression method based on 6 radiosonde meteorological observations, for a total 17,129 profiles, from 2003 to 2005. Weighted mean temperature, Tm, is a key parameter in the retrieval of atmospheric PWV from ground-based GPS measurements of zenith path delay. The accuracy of the GPS-derived PWV is proportional to the accuracy of Tm. And we applied the reduction of air Pressure to GPS station altitude. The reduction value of air pressure from mean sea level to GPS stations altitude is adopted a reverse sea level correction.

RFID is going to be the core technology for contact-less information transfer means in the era of ubiquitous. Up until recent days, the RFID didn't fit to be used in outdoor environment due to the fact that it was developed for logistics which does not require stability in outdoor. But recently, requests for the RFID to be used in the outdoor environment have increased, and this laid the foundation for the development of outdoor tags, including MetalTag, which can be utilized in many different ways. In this research, to provide information on the control point using the RFID at the sight, RFID tags, which can place at the control point, and PDA based system were developed.

A network of MAC type was constructed in the Gyeonggi-do area to analyze the usefulness and validity of the Network RTK-GPS. Six sites were selected to conduct GPS observation for 24 hours, and by determining the ITRF of each site, coordinates were determined in connection with IGS network. Then check points which were established in Gimpo area were observed at least 7 times by Network RTK at 20 secs of retrieval intervals. The result showed high accuracy in the difference between the coordinates determined immediately by the in-field network survey and the current performance was 1-2cm. Its biggest benefit is the expanded range of survey and efficiency of practice. In summary, it is proved that a network survey has the accuracy, scalability and efficiency and it is expected that the network survey will contribute to the cadastral survey.

This paper focuses on examining and evaluating recent results of the national wide horizontal network adjustment which has carried out with respect to the Korean Geodetic Datum 2002 (KGD2002). To do this, 137 geodetic control points were observed by modem GPS technology. After processing all the observations, their outcomes are compared with ones provided by the national wide network adjustment. Results of GPS network show that RMSE is
${\pm}2.7cm\;and\;{\pm}6.5cm$ in horizontal and vertical component, respectively. On the other hand, ones from comparison with EDM network indicate that RMSE is${\pm}3.0cm$ in horizontal component. -
Since world coordinate system is entirely used because of the revision of land surveying law, it is needed that transformation of coordinates of geo-spatial information established by korea coordinate system to be performed. It is required, however, to have a plan for transformation of world coordinate system because the coordinate system is not unified due to the geo-spatial information system using dualistic control data of both old and new data of korea coordinate system. For this purpose, in this study, I have calculated coordinate transformation coefficient per control data of korea coordinate system and proposed a plan of transforming a dualistic coordinate system which is based on control data of korea coordinate system effectively into world coordinate system through verification of accuracy of transformation per control data.

This study is aimed to acquire the depth information and measure the water volume of reservoir using the robot-ship equipped with GPS and echosounder. Robot-ship is an automatic system for measuring exact depth and bed topography. According to field experiment results, measured water volume by the robot-ship data was not much exceeding 6.8% in comparison with existing water volume data, and it was guessed because of sediments of reservoir bottom. The robot-ship could be used to acquire economically and exactly the water depth and bed topography of reservoirs, dams, rivers and so on.

This study describes a problem of the Original Bench Mark which is used currently. We calculate New Mean Sea Level(MSL) in Incheon Port using tide data for 57 months and take 8 points GPS/Leveling data in research area. We calculate orthometric height of one control point using tide data and GPS/Leveling data. After fixed the control point, we decide final orthometric heights using relative geoidal height and ellipsoidal height from GPS survey. To analysis the Original Bench Mark compares final orthometric heights with the orthometric heights in Korea height system. We get the result that the New Original Bench Mark's height is 26.7176m. It appears 3.05cm difference as the Original Bench Mark's height is 26.6871cm in Korea height system.

Each country uses its own datum which well represent its topography. The uses of the space technology such as GPS and the effort of establishing the consistent data over the world, Korea changed the survey act to use a world geodetic system from January 1, 2007. In this study, spatial analysis carried out to transform the GIS DB of electric power distribution system based on the old Tokyo datum the new world geodetic system, KGD 2002. Based on the study, problems on the transformation had been identified and efficient solutions are suggested. The data used for the 7 parameter similarity transformation in this study is the blueprints of the electric equipment and base maps. It is expected that this study provide general scheme and procedure for efficient GIS DB transformation to the new world geodetic system.

고속국도 및 일반국도 인터체인지부의 설계속도를 분석하기 위하여 현재 적용되고 있는 국내의 설계기준 즉, 도로의 구조 시설기준에 관한 규칙 및 도로설계편람, 도로설계요령, 도로설계기준, 국도설계기준을 검토하고, 국외의 설계기준을 참고하여 국내기준과 비교 검토하였다. 고속도로 교통사고 통계(2006)를 통하여 사고 다발지점을 선정, 원인을 분석하고 램프 유형별, 허용속도별 전국의 입체교차로를 대상으로 주행속도를 계측하였으며, 그 결과로부터 입체교차로의 Loop Ramp 접속부의 적정 설계속도를 제안하였다.

Cadastral control points in Korea are refered to various origins, for example an early separated small triangulation, a separated small triangulation, a separated control surveying origin and an unified origin. We determined transformation parameters from old origin to unified origin using 2D conformal transformation method. To evaluate of transformation accuracy, we compared with GPS field surveying results. And we experiment on coordinate transformations with unified results between the local geodetic datum and the new Korea geodetic datum.

The Global Positioning System(GPS)is an advanced navigation satellite system for determination to position. It can provide three-dimensional positioning, in dependent of weater, 24 hours per day. This paper described the Field DGPS program Using PDA can help a field work and compute the TM rectangular coordinates, compared the output of the Field DGPS program with the results of surveying using EDM(electronic distance measurement).

In this paper GPS data for the period from January 2002 to June 2004 (910 days) were analyzed to quantitatively investigate the plate deformation patterns and distributions in the Korean peninsula. The GPS network is composed of 45 permanent GPS stations. The daily data were analyzed using the GAMIT/GLOBK software and the precise orbits generated by the International GNSS Service (IGS). The research result make it possible to understand the tendency of crustal movement in and around the Korean peninsula, which have an effect on the occurrence of earthquake.

This paper describes general procedure and results of the GPS 3rd odor network adjustment which has been carried out for determining coordinates sets with respect to new Korean Geodetic Datum, so-call Korean Geodetic Datum 2002 (KGD 2002). The adjustment begins with minimally constrained adjustments with respect to each of the 69 campaign networks. This was followed by constructing and adjusting sixteen block network. After detecting and removing outliers in the observation file, an attempt was made by applying the empirical stochastic modeling techniques used in the 2nd order network adjustment, so as to determine the magnitude of absolute and relative error for the estimated baseline vector from the GPS data processing. The over constrained adjustment were, in sequence, performed against each of the block network. In this adjustment, both of the 2nd order control points in the block network and the 3rd order control points overlapped with adjacent network whose coordinates were already determined from a preceding adjustment. The final adjustment results have shown that the accuracy of the 3rd order network adjustment was better than 1cm and 2cm in horizontal and vertical component, respectively.

Sea level fluctuation present a direct influence to those who live near the coast. The importance of monitoring sea level is evident. Therefore, various techniques have been employed for sea level measurements such as the coastal water level gauges, satellite altimetry and GPS buoy. Especially, GPS buoys have been used to measure water levels, atmospheric parameter and other physical conditions in sea, tide correction, the altimeter range calibration, ocean environment. In this paper, we will mainly concentrate on the kinematic technique for GPS buoy to measure the sea level. A test was carried out to test the method proposed in this paper, which made use of a GPS buoy equipped to monitor the sea level in Busan. We have executed to analysis about applications of GPS buoy.

This investigation aims at calculating the geoid height, distance between the ellipsoidal height and the orthometric height by GPS/Levelling data for nationwide 58 Bench Marks, and calculating the effect of geoid height to engineering public works. The accuracy of the results from baseline analyses and adjustment of a network. using GPS surveying data by nationwide 58 BM show 4mm for horizontal direction and 7cm for vertical direction. The 58 geoid height was calculated by GPS/Levelling. For a construction work field GPS/Levelling for distributed 4 BM in test area can calculate the orthometric height in 20 ppm relativity accuracy with 95% reliability. Besides the calculated geoid height in the investigation was 0.367m higher than EGM96 model. The test results of a engineering work site, the result by EGM96 model was 1.8cm in 10km and it was also 3.6cm in interpolation method. The results show that it is equivalent to levelling of
$20mm\sqrt{S}$ . -
LIDAR is a relatively new technological tool that can be used to accurately georeference terrain features, and also is becoming an important 3D mapping tool in GIS. In this study it is described the capabilities of terrestrial LIDAR that was used to build a 3D terrain model of extremely steep rock face, along with the useful data and examples of contributions terrestrial lidar has made to outcrop studies. For this, High-resolution terrestrial lidar acquisition, processing, interpretation are discussed and applied to mapping of geological surfaces in three dimensions. We expected that lidar is a tool with which we can improve our current field methods and quantify the observations geologists make.

우리나라의 교통사고발생은 OECD국가 중 인구 10만명당 사망자 14.9명으로 29개국 중 25위로 최하위권에 머물러있는 실정이다. 본 연구는 현재 적용하고 있는 우리나라 도로구조시설기준에서 정지시거에 대한 기준이 현실적이지 못하다고 분석되었기 때문에 근거리사진측량을 이용하여 3차원 모델링하고 정지시거를 명확한 근거에 기준하여 이를 규명하고자 수행하였다. 따라서 본 연구는 도로 정지시거의 기준을 재정립하여 안전하고 쾌적한 도로설계 기준을 제시하는데 그 목적이 있다.

Recently, production and application of ortho image using high resolution image are increasing by acquired high quality data from development of photogrammetry and IT technology. Generally, An ortho image has some problems that cannot remove completely to relief displacement about cultural feature like building and overpass because of performance rectification using DEM. Therefore, in this study, I generated DSM each of four experiment cases for production of true ortho image which is removed relief displacement of building using digital photogrammetry technique and LiDAR data, presented the plan of DSM production that is appropriate to production true ortho image by analyzing an accuracy after manufacture an ortho image each of DSM.

The aim of the study is to find the differences in spatial change for subway construction lines using Landsat TM and SPOT image. The result of study to use judge the data in subway role about the city growth. In the recently, it will be expected to use important basis data in development of the city.

One of future remote sensing techniques for the estimation of damage by storm and flood is the extraction of water area, which could be the basis of measuring the damage by storm and flood and estimate restoration cost. This paper introduces an approach to damage estimation using satellite Image. The project site was Ansung area and a set of Radarsat-1 SAR image at 6.25m resolution was used for the test. Authors investigated methods of SAR image processing such as shadow-effect removal, orthorectification of SAR image and calculation of damage area by flood. Consequetly, this study showed that technique improvement of image processing and the best of result for extracting water area. Also, found the new possibility of damage estimation using satellite image.

종중복도 60%이상, 횡중복도 30%이상 촬영되어지는 항공영상과 스테레오 촬영이 가능한 위성영상은 도화에 사용되는 입체시를 이용하여 영상(Stereo Aerial Image) 자체를 화면상에 입체적으로 구현하여 건물의 높이 정보 판독 및 해당 지역상에서 년도별 변화지역을 판독하는 일련의 업무 수행에 있어 중요한 자료로 활용하고 있지만 장기간의 작업시간, 작업에 대한 정확성에 취약점을 나타내고 있으며, 이는 행정업무의 효율성 저하요인을 발생하고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 이러한 항공사진 및 위성영성의 촬영상의 특성을 활용하여 영상 매칭 DEM을 활용한 높이정보의 변화와 영상 정합을 통한 변화지역 판독을 자동화 하는 시스템을 구현하였다. 시스템 구현을 위해서 개발 언어로 Visual C++을 사용하였으며, 개발된 알고리즘에 대한 평가 수행을 위해 사용자가 직접 입체 판독 및 분석을 수행할 수 있도록 편광 모니터를 사용하여 판독 시스템을 추가적으로 개발하였다.

Recently, constructing and complementing the road network database are a main key in all social operation in our life. However it needs high expenses for constructing and complementing the data, and relies on many people for finishing the tasks. This study propose a novel method to extract urban road networks from 3-D LiDAR data automatically. This method integrates height, reflectance, and clustered road point information. Geometric information of general roads is also applied to cluster road points group correctly. The proposed method has been tested on various urban areas which contain complicated road networks. The results conclude that the integration of height, reflectance, and geometric information worked reliably to cluster road points.

The increased availability of portable, low-cost, high resolution video devices has resulted in a rapid growth of the applications for video sequences. These video devices can be mounted in handhold unit, mobile unit and airborne platforms like maned or unmaned helicopter, plane, airship, etc. A core technique in use of video sequences is to align neighborhood video frames to each other or to reference images. For video sequences registration, we extracted interested points from aerial video sequences using Harris,
$F{\square}rstner$ , and KLT operators and implemented image matching using these points. As the result, we analysed image matching results for each operators and evaluated accuracy of aerial video registration. -
In this paper, we evaluate a red tide detection possibility of GOCI(Geostationary Ocean Color Imager) which will be launched in 2008. To detect red tide, we use a similar wavelength range of MODIS normalized water-leaving radiance data instead of GOCI data. Supposed to GOCI, red tide detection algorithm is based on MRI(MODIS Red tide Index) and use 667nm band to filter turbid water. The algorithm's effectiveness is verified by detecting large Cochlodinium polykrikoides red tide event that was appeared in Korean coastal waters. The evaluation was done by comparing the result with the update data provided by the NFRDI.

Due to the expensiveness of IKONOS Pro and Precision Products, it is attractive to use the low-cost IKONOS Geo Product with vendor-provided RPCs to produce highly accurate mapping products. The imaging geometry of IKONOS high-resolution imagery is described by RFs instead of rigorous sensor models. This paper presents four different models defined respectively in object space and image space to improve the accuracies of the RF-derived ground coordinates. The four models include the offset model, the scale & offset model, the affine model and the 2nd-order polynomial model. Different configurations of ground control points (GCPs) are carefully examined to evaluate the effect of the GCPs arrangement on the accuracy of ground coordinates. The experiment also evaluates the effect of different cartographic parameters such as the number location, and accuracy of GCPs on the accuracy of geopositioning.

Satellite image for national land monitoring is required high resolution and natural color with multi spectral band. the image is expensive as higher resolution. We need cheap image relatively in economic viewpoint but the image serves sufficient resolution to monitor national land. We merged two images to one image and evaluated the result. the two images which are used at the merge test are high resolution(2.5m per pixel) panchromatic and low resolution(10m per pixel) multi spectral image of SPOT-5 satellite. The result of this study. We made the merge image to have sufficient resolution for national monitoring.

The Korea Multi-Purpose Satellite-2 (KOMPSAT-2) was launched in July 2006 and The main mission of the KOMPSAT-2 is a high resolution imaging for the cartography of Korea peninsula by utilizing Multi Spectral Camera (MSC) images. The camera resolutions are 1 m in panchromatic scene and 4 m in multi-spectral imaging. KOMPSAT-2 measure the position, velocity and attitude data of satellite using by star sensor, gyro sensor, and GPS sensor. This paper provides an initial geometric accuracy assessment of the KOMPSAT-2 high resolution image, both geometric Cal/Val overview.

The horizontal geo-location accuracy of KOMPSAT-2, without GCPs (Ground Control Points) is 80 meters CE90 for monoscopic image of up to 26 degrees off-nadir angle, after processing including POD (Precise Orbit Determination), PAD(Precise Attitude Determination) and AOCS (Attitude and Orbit Control Subsystem) sensor calibration. In case of multiple stereo images, without GCPs, the vertical geometric accuracy is less than 22.4 meters LE 90 and the horizontal geometric accuracy is less than 25.4 meters. There are two types of sensor model for KOMPSAT-2, direct sensor model and Rational Function Model (RFM). In general, a sensor model relates object coordinates to image coordinates The major objective of this investigation is to check and verify the geometrical performance when initial KOMPSAT-2 images are employed and briefly introduce the sensor model of KOMPSAT-2.

There have been many studies on extracting building boundaries from LiDAR(Light Detection And Ranging) data. In such studies, points are first segmented, then are further processed to get straight boundary lines that better approximate the real boundaries. In most research in this area, processes like generalization or regularization assume that buildings have only right angles, i.e. all the line segments of the building boundaries are either parallel or perpendicular. However, this assumption is not valid for many buildings. We present a new approach consisting of three steps that is applicable to more complex building boundaries. The three steps consist of boundary tracing, generalization, and regularization. Each step contains algorithms that range from slight modifications of conventional algorithms to entirely new concepts. Four typical building shapes were selected to test the performance of out new approach and the results were compared with digital maps. The results show that the proposed approach has good potential for extracting building boundaries of various shapes.

In this study, the method of extracting DEM is presented using RC Helicopter Photogrammetry System. From the result of reference points and checkpoints using Total Station which is conventional type of survey, the errors turned out to
$-0.194{\sim}0.224m$ on the X-axis,$-0.088{\sim}0.180m$ on the Y-axis and$-0.286{\sim}0.283m$ on the Z-axis when RC Helicopter Photogrammetry System utilized. Through this RC Helicopter Photogrammetry System, they can provide efficient update of digital map on toparchy area or access is not easy area. -
The paper studies in the wide-angle lens and distortion tendency and employs the correction techniques suitable to the fish-eye lens using the existing photographic survey methods. After carrying out the calibration of the the fish-eye lens, we calculated the correction parameters, and then developed the method that convert the original image-point to new image-point correcting distortion. The objectives of suggested calibration method in this paper are to calibrate the image of the the fish-eye lens used in the computer-vision and the control-instrumentation field widely. The proposed technique expects to improve the accuracy of the image of the fish-eye lens in the indoor tracking and monitoring field. Also the referenced cross point auto-extraction program is embodied for improving efficiency of the lens correction techniques. Consequently, this calibration method would be applied to the automated distorting correction method on not only the fish-eye lens also general lens.

A crack in concrete structure gives trouble to safety of building and human life. This study gives that development of auto extract system in a structure crack by digital image impersonal method for extract structure crack. This system will be possible to impersonal measurement for old concrete building and structure. For this auto extract system, used geometry of high resolution digital image and crack line extract by relation based image matching method. Now to conclude, this auto extract system gives a method that a quick measurement of building crack, hold objectivity in result, makes standardization for acquirement data, optimization result of measurement.

Nowadays the aerial photos is using to get the information around our spatial environment and it increases by geometric progression in many fields. The aerial photos need in a simple object such as cartography and ground covey classification and also in a social objects such as the city plan, environment, disaster, transportation etc. However, the shadow, which includes when taking the aerial photos, makes a trouble to interpret the ground information, and also users, who need the photos in their field tasks, have restriction. This study, for removing the shadow, uses the single image and the image without the source of image and taking situation. Also, this study present clustering algorism based on HIS color model that use Hue, Saturation and Intensity, especially this study used I(intensity) to extract shadow area from image. And finally by filtering in Fourier frequency domain creates the intrinsic image which recovers the 3-D color information and removes the shadow.

In this study, we proposed a way to detect trees using virtual grid and to discriminate vertical wall points from building tops based on effective segmentation of LIDAR point cloud utilizing scan line characteristics. Trees were detected by their surface roughness value calculated based on virtual grid and vertical building wall points were discriminated from building tops with one dimensional filtering of scan line during segmenting point cloud. In results, we could distinguish trees from buildings and bind virtical wall points to prevent them from faltly acting on point segmentation process.

Hyperspectral remote sensing data contain plenty of information about objects, which makes object classification more precise. Over the past several years, different algorithms for the classification of hyperspectral remote sensing images have been developed. In this study, we proposed method based on absorption band extraction and Gravity type model to solve hyperspectral image classification problem. In contrast to conventional methods that are based on correlation techniques, this method is simple and more effective. The proposed approach was tested to evaluate its effectiveness. The evaluation was done by comparing the results of preexiting SFF(Spectral Feature Fitting) classification method. The evaluation results showed the proposed approach has a good potential in the classification of hyperspectral images.

This study is for analyzing best band in image matching using correlation coefficient of left and right images of stereo image pair, lot red, green, blue band images separated from color aerial photo and gray image converted from the same color aerial photo image. The image matching is applied to construct Digital Elevation Model(DEM) or terrain data. The correlation coefficients and variation by change of pixel patch size are computed from pixel patches of which sizes are
$11{\times}11{\sim}101{\times}101$ . Consequently, the correlation coefficient in red band image is highest. The lowest is in blue band. Therefore, to construct terrain data using image matching, the red band image is preferable. As the size of pixel patch is growing, the correlation coefficient is increasing. But increasing rate declines from$51{\times}51$ image patch size and above. It is proved that the smaller pixel patch size than$51{\times}51$ is applied to construct terrain data using image matching. -
본 연구에서는 변화탐지 기법을 통한 도심지 건축물의 판독가능성을 검토하기 위하여 항공사진 단영상 및 정사영상을 이용하여 영상정규화와 기하보정을 통한 image subtraction기법을 적용하여 변화 탐지를 실시하였다. 변화 탐지를 위한 임계값 설정에서 단영상 변화탐지는 임계값 90% 이상에서는 일정면적 이상의 변화지역이 뚜렷이 나타났으며 정사영상 변화탐지는 임계값
$70{\sim}80%$ 이상의 결과영상이 변화탐지에 적절한 것으로 나타났다. 단영상과 정사영상 변화탐지 결과를 필터링을 통해 일정면적 이하를 제거한 후 2002년 영상과 중첩하여 변화지역을 확인 하였다. 변화탐지 기법을 판독 작업에 활용한다면 판독 우선순위 결정에 많은 도움이 될 뿐만 아니라 영상의 종류와 필요에 따른 다양한 변화탐지 기법을 적용한다면 판독 작업에 많은 활용성을 기대할 수 있다. -
항공사진 원데이터의 변형을 방지하고 효율적인 관리를 위해서는 자동독취를 통한 수치화 방안이 마련되어야 한다. 항공사진 판독업무에 있어서 기존 판독자만 밀착항공사진과 입체경을 통하여 건축물의 형태와 변화 여부를 판단하던 것을 모니터 상에서 누구나 건물의 변동사항을 볼 수 있도록 효율적인 판독시스템을 구축하여 판독의 신뢰도를 높여야 한다. 판독시스템 구축은 디지털 영상의 다양한 활용과 업무의 효율성 확보 및 대민서비스 향상 차원에서 이루어져야 할 것이다. 또한 현재 외국의 항측사들이 실제로 활용하고 있으며 조만간 국내에서도 도입 예정인 디지털항공카메라는 항공사진의 수치화 단계를 거치치 않고 직접 수치항공영상을 취득 할 수 있으므로 수치화 과정에서 발생하는 많은 오류들을 제거할 수 있음은 물론 판독시스템을 활용한 데이터의 직접처리가 가능해 시간적, 경제적으로 많은 장점들을 가지고 있다. 그러므로 디지털항공카메라의 도입에 대비한 개발현황과 활용도 등에 관한 사전 연구가 수행되어야 한다. 본 연구에서는 사용자가 직접 입체 판독 및 분석을 수행할 수 있는 플랫폼을 구비함으로서 오류를 최소화 할 수 있도록 편광 모니터(Z-Screen)를 사용하여 수행하였다. 또한 환경은 Microsoft Window OS 환경 상에서 구동될 수 있도록 개발함으로서 시스템의 범용적 사용을 위한 기초 환경을 제공하도록 제안하였다.

In the post-Cold War era, acquisition technique of high-resolution satellite imagery (HRSI) has begun to commercialize. IKONOS-2 satellite imaging data is supplied for the first time in the 21st century. Many researchers testified mapping possibility of the HRSI data instead of aerial photography. It is easy to renew and automate a topographical map because HRSI not only can be more taken widely and periodically than aerial photography, but also can be directly supplied as digital image. In this study matching size of IKONOS Geo-level stereo image is presented lot production of digital elevation model (DEM). We applied area based matching method using correlation coefficient of pixel brightness value between the two images. After matching line (where "matching line" implies straight line that is approximated to complex non-linear epipolar geometry) is established by exterior orientation parameters (EOPs) to minimize search area, the matching is tarried out based on this line. The experiment on matching size is performed according to land cover property, which is divided off into four areas (water, urban land, forest land and agricultural land). In each of the test areas, window size for the highest correlation coefficient is selected as propel size for matching. As the results of experiment, the proper size was selected as
$123{\times}123$ pixels window,$13{\times}13$ pixels window,$129{\times}129$ pixels window and$81{\times}81$ pixels window in the water area, urban land, forest land and agricultural land, respectively. Of course, determination of the matching size by the correlation coefficient may be not absolute appraisal method. Optimum matching size using the geometric accuracy therefore, will be presented by the further work. -
본 연구에서는 고해상도의 IKONOS panchromatic 영상과 multispectral 영상을 IHS와 PCA 방법으로 중합하고 그 결과를 비교하였다. 평가에 있어서는 중합된 영상들과 원영상간의 필셀 값에 대한 평균제곱근오차를 구하고 그 결과를 분석하였다. 분석 결과, multispectral band 1, 3, 4를 사용하는 IHS 방법, multispectral band 1, 2, 4를 사용하는 IHS 방법 및 multispectral band 1, 3, 4를 사용하는 PCA 방법이 원영상의 특성을 잘 보존하는 것으로 평가되었다.

After the forest fire, as access is not easy, forest damage degree are determined with Landsat TM image rather than visual inspection. Therefore in this study, damaged areas are extracted with factor analysis and cluster analysis. Second factor analysis was performed for areas suspicious as forest fire damage areas to evaluate accuracy after separating into strong, medium and light forest fire areas.

이 논문은 고해상도 Quickbird 영상을 이용하여 세부레벨계획을 위한 토지피복분류를 수행하였으며 고해상도 영상을 이용한 토지피복분류를 위하여 객체기반분류와 ISODATA 기법을 적용하였다. 객체기반분류는 eCognition 소프트웨어를 사용하였으며 ISODATA 기법의 토지피복분류 결과와 비교분석을 수행하였다. 연구 대상지역은 인도의 Sukkalampatti이라 하는 작은 유역을 대상으로 연구를 진행하였다. 고해상도 영상의 사용으로 토지피복분류에 있어서 공간 해상도에 따른 토지피복의 세부레벨분류 정확도를 향상 시킬 수 있는 이점을 확인 할 수 있으며 또한, 객체기반분류와 ISODATA 기법의 분류 결과는 eCognition을 사용한 객체기반 토지피복분류결과가 ISODATA의 픽셀기반의 분류방법보다 높은 정확도를 보였다.

MMS(Mobile Mapping System) generates a efficient image data for mapping and facility management. However, this image data of MMS has many difficulties in a practical use because of huge data volume. Therefore the important information likes road sign post must be extracted from huge MMS image data. In Korea, there is the HMS(Highway Management System) to manage a national road that acquire the line and condition of road from the MMS images. In the HMS each road sign information is manually inputted by the keyboard from moving MMS. This manually passive input way generate the error like inaccurate position, mistaking input in this research we developed the automatic road sign identifying technique using the image processing and the direct geo-referencing by GPS/INS data. This development brings not only good flexibility for field operations, also efficient data processing in HMS.

Currently, looking at the field of producing national coastlines, the lengths of coastlines are inaccurate due to the vague definition of dividing coastline boundaries and insufficient observation data. The level of accuracy and reliability of previous data are also in the very low. This paper used aerial photographs with certain intervals to monitor the change in coastal areas of Songjeong, Haeundae, Kwanganri, Songdo and Dadaepo. The local area subjected for this research was limited to areas near Busan. Launching quantitative/time series analyses on the change of coastal areas using aortal photographs, satellite image data and RTK-GPS surveys. And developing an automatic edge detection program to extract coastlines, suggesting the performance of the program and analyzing the efficiency of the program.

As the centralization of city, underground facilities is increasing and being more important. And there were many underground facilities accidents in korea. It is very important to update and to have high quality accuracy of underground facilities maps. But the underground facilities maps are mapped and updated by each institutes. So it is difficult to verify the accuracy of the data. In this study, To analyze the accuracy of maps, Surveying of undergroud facilities for 18 GUs in Seoul is performed during 3 years using Electromegnetic Induction Method, Total Station and GPS. In conclusion, Horizontal accuracy of 6 underground facilities management institutes is 73cm(2004), 78cm(2005) and 75cm(2006).

The NGIS(National Geographic Information System) project is in its third phase currently. To put the produced data to practical use, central and local governments are trying to implement spatial data warehouse(SDW). In this study, status of local and international SDW(Spatial Data Warehouse) technology were investigated. It has been observed that in Korea it was necessary to shift the focus from management of spatial data to servicing of spatial data to information end users. To that end, the following tasks should be pursued : 1) standardization, 2) automatic ways of linking various legacy administrative information, 3) development of customized middleware for spatial data integration and 4) legal system infra structure.

This study proposed a procedure to improve the error defection of attached cadastral maps using digital map data. In addition, this study also provided the direction for the accuracy improvement of attached cadastral maps by comparing analysis methods. - such as centroid, Lee Sallee shape index, and area index. The analysis is performed as follows. First, by using centroid measurement, the center point of cadastral maps and attached cadastral maps are compared. Secondly by using Lee Sallee shape measurement, the location accuracy of range area is investigated. Thirdly, by using area measurement, the range area within allowable error scope is verified. Based on analysis, the discrepancy between cadastral maps and the attacked cadastral maps are detected as follows; 98.2% from Lee Sallee shape index, 41.8% from centroid, 15.4% from area index in the whole error.

The objective of this research is to study the method to produce biotope map by using GIS. Surveying and analyzing the situation of biotope map in the country, it was found that biotope map should be produced to be utilized in establishing urban plan and environment preservation plan. Considering the history of materials, preparation method and type of use, the types of original materials can be classified into 3 types, namely, data based on configuration map, the existing thematic map and materials of surveying natural ecology. Biotope map is composed of configuration thematic map that shows the shape and position of surface, urban thematic map that is the standard of unit biotope shape and urban ecology map that shows the urban ecologic situation. Extracted and processed from the original material, each thematic map is produced as biotope map that shows the type of biotope. It is expected that biotope map can be utilized in the area of urban plan including establishment of basic urban plan and urban management plan as well as environment planning area including evaluation of environment influence, establishment of environment preservation plan, consolidated environment management for natural environment and life environment.

Among natural disasters that lead to devastating damage, floods from heavy rains have been causing hundreds of victims and a great loss of their properties every year. Basically, there is no other way to deal with the problem considering it is a kind of natural disaster, but more specific studies for a preventive measure of flood has been in progress so far. However, the controversy over the problem is going on due to the objection of some environmental organizations or some economic reasons. The key important thing is select the most suitable area for a preventive measure of flood where a huge amount of national budget is put into, which is also the factor to judge it would be success or failure, therefore, in this study, it is made to be profitable to decide the priority order in a plan for preventing disasters by drawing more accurate data conveniently from the connection with GIS when you get some information of configuration of the ground and using them into the economic analysis for flood prevention industries.

The government is spending a large amount of budget to establish NGIS due to the importance of geospatial information. This paper deals with the study of schema mapping technique which can efficiently establish military topographic DB forest layer using digital forest map and other existing geospatial DB. In order to accomplish this 1) each schema of these types of DB was analyzed then, 2) mapping table which connects related attributes was created and finally, 3) military topographical DB forest layer of the area of interest was efficiently established. This research was able to display solutions that resolved compatibility issues between existing geospatial DB of these types, established by the schema mapping techniques described in this research.

In this study, I wished to forecast damage district by tsunami's occurrence. For this, analyzed tsunami that can happen in our country's neighborhood sea area using past data, and established tsunami's scenario by imagination with analysis result. I created 3D topographical model about study area and analyzed inundation area by achieving simulation by scenario. Also, result of simulation does overlay with digital map and manufactured imagination inundation map. This study result may offer as basic data for operation of tsunami's forecast/alarm system and making of disaster prevention policy.

As a number of new college students is gradually decreasing, each college is trying to find various solutions for gathering many students and operating a school. In specialty, information such as entrance examination and matriculation status data is very important for a college to decide a direction of admission and public relations policy, and increase welfare of the school. Therefore, it is seriously needed for a school to introduce a matriculation management system that can do the effective analysis through various entrance examination and matriculation status data and decision factors of school. In this study, I developed a matriculation management system which can analyze information of applicants, successful candidates and registrants based on national framework data. It is expected that the developed system can provide appropriate and rational information for public relations policy and operation to a college.

In this study, we generated DSM(Digital Surface Model)s and orthophotos with both LIDAR data and scanned aerial photos and compared them with those generated from only the scanned photos. We checked the relief displacements of buildings appearing in the generated orthophotos, where the displacement should not be exist in a true-orthophoto. The RMSE of the relief displacement in the orthophoto generated using a LIDAR DSM is 3 m while the RMSE in the orthophotos from a DSM based on the image matching is 6.1 m. It was revealed that the orthophoto from a LIDAR DSM are closer to a true-orthophoto. But the results in the accuracy test and similarity evaluation of the generated orthophotos were contrary to former results because the roof texture of buildings were expanded to occlusion areas around the buildings. With the central area of the photo, we can generate sufficiently accurate true-orthophotos using a LIDAR DSM.

Frequently, Slope failure was happened by abnormal weather and limit of valuation system at the managed slope. Analysis of other organization slope DB systems is very important that slope DB system maintains same regions on geology. In Korea, slope DB system was running at KEC(Korea Expressway Corporation), Korail(Korea Railroad), and KIGAM(Korea Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources). We research theirs DB constructing. For reviewed slope DB system of other country, we searched NLIC(Natural Landslide Information Center)'s DB system in U.S.A., GEO's LPM(landslide Prevention Measures) program in Hongkong, DPRI' ILC(International Consortium on Landslides) program in Japan, and AGSO(Australian Geological Survey Organization)'s NGVUC program in Australia.

Pine Wilt Disease (Bursaphelenchus Xylophilus) has been attacked since 1988, then it becomes very serious problem of the all over the country. Government has been invested a lot of money to prevent but it is hard to survey the damaged area and ineffectively control the process of prevention. Therefore, this study is focused on development of Pine Wilt Disease (Bursaphelenchus Xylophilus) Prevention System using GIS and GPS through constructiong database of digital map, satellite imagery and attribute data and development component for desktop PC, internet and mobile system to realtime data transmission between project manager and field worker. Especially, we developed the mobile system that can transmit field conditions in realtime using GPS, GIS and CCD camera, the telecommunication control server that transmit received field condition data to web connecting module and system manager, the web system for end user to notify prevention details, the control system lot manager to recognize filed conditions and to control field workers and the wireless telecommunication module to connect in realtime between field and control center.

Because the current numerical value map and update system in use do not reflect rapidly enough the transformation of topography, their usage are gradually in decrease. Therefore, there is an increasing demand for reception update system of numerical value map which can guarantee the accuracy and up-to-dateness of data. While rapid detection of topographical transformation is essential for rapid updating, the existing research based on remote investigation or direct measurement was difficult to apply efficiently in terms of cost and accuracy. Thereupon, this research aims to present efficient methods of detecting topographical transformations for a frequent real time updating of numerical value map using the topographical transformation and related data inputted in real time into the administrative information system.

Today, ubiquitous technology (e.g. computers or networked devices pervade everywhere we are) has enlarged by great advancement of information and communication technologies. If ubiquitous technologies is applied to, innovation of spatial information technology is expected. traditional spatial information technologies such as survey, GIS, GPS, LBS, and RS and ubiquitous technology gradual1y have been converged. The aim of this study is to create shared visions in spatial information technologies by scenario based roadmapping. So, we surveyed the state of the art in main spatial information technologies, market status and patent map. Consequently, prospects of spatial information technologies is suggested. The aim of 1st and 2nd NGIS project focused on map supplier was to develop digital map(e.g. framework data, various thematic map). As a result, the best technology of digital mapping is achieved in the world. But, there is not enough to develop GIS and LBS solution. Current market in GIS S/W and Telematics is about 384billon won and 250billion won. a patent is applied in the order, like a USA(1571case, 47%), Japan(883case, 26%), EU(478case, 14%), Korea(446case, 13%). In the future, spatial information technology fused on ubiquitous technology will be focused on user's demand and developing convenience context. The developing target will be realtime monitoring of 3D spatial data based on high resolution coordinate system, sharing and supplying multi-sensor data considered users demand, location service by ubiquitous technologies.

Because the cost of road management is increasing proportional to road construction, there are needs to build general and systematic road management system. To solving such problems, Ministry of Construction and Transportation started research and development of Highway Management System(HMS), and established a foundation for systematic road management system. But, the implementation of HMS has some limitations because it is just converting roads of physical space to roads of electronic space and managing roads of electronic space. Although HMS offers many conveniences compared to old system which was based hard-copy and paper maps or unit operations, it can not overcome the problem of inefficency of road management due to the separation of operation between outer field and inner office. Therefore, to overcome such inefficency, this study focused on Road Disaster Management System development based on Ubiquotous.

The aim of the study is to investigate area using data result from aspect, elevation, slope were analyzed by satellite image and DEM. Finally, review the effectiveness and complement of cirteria in the future.

Since the first phase of NGIS (National Geographic Information System) project was launched in 1988, various types and spatial database has been produced and updated. With recent developments in the information technology, the application of spatial data has increased in amount as well as in the coverage of the area of interest. There is a need for production and management of a nationwide single continuous digital map. This paper looks into three problems of map edge matching when dealing with such a task : 1) different scales of adjacent maps, 2) different time of capture between adjacent maps, and 3) different responsible organization where map matching has not been peformed along the boundary.

"The project for production of medium classification landcover maps using satellite images" has been completed from 1998 until 2005 in Korea. As the 5th project was finished in 2005, medium classification landcover maps for all areas of South Korea have been produced. The products of project currently is used in lots of fields such as public governments, universities and research institutes for policy application and scientific research. But final results of the project have several problems which is insufficiency of reliability, discordance of classification codes and many others because each project was progressed year by year. In this study, problems of existing production methods about medium classification landcover maps are extracted and solution of problems is offered. Therefore, this study will make it possible to efficiently produce and update medium classification landcover maps.

Geotechnical Information Database Project was began by Ministry of Construction Transport at the 1999, because many people need a sharing and reusing the geotechnical report in construction process. In the beginning, target was report of national highway construction. the whole of country has been target on since the 2005. Today, the 60,581 number of geotechnical data(counted by boring number) is maintained. In this study, Geotechnical Information Distribute System(GIDS) was developed, in order to improve practical use and to be connected to National Geographic Information Center(NGIC). and program to be applicable to construction was suggested. We expect that GIDS make a effect to improve geotechnical data application and to be use in all part of construction process.

Since enforcement of double entry book-keeping accounting system on 1 January 2007, local government should draw out financial statement for assets and liabilities possessed after due diligence. But, some social infrastructure including underground facilities are difficult to implement entire inspection actually. In this study, we proposed effective approach for assessing assets of local government's social infrastructure such as road, water and sewage, subsidiary facilities etc. using GIS built on local government by NGIS project. Through this, local government ensures correctness and effectiveness of asset inspection as a result of successive establishment of double entry book-keeping accounting system.

This paper is the environmental impact assessment of at road design in the light of the sense for the real from the virtual reality. For in this papers, This study developed 3D-model and virtual reality contents by suggesting the environmental impact assessment based on GIS in the road design. And, through this process, it's possible to visualize the environmental impact assessment by constructing the 3D-model and simulation. The 3D-model can be a method to show the road effectively by maximizing the road's shape visually after the construction. The main construction which composes polyhedron model that is generated from digital map and aerial photo is built by mapping the real texture, so the Sense for the Real was more heightened. Through this study, it must be made to shorten a long time exhausting period of conference and construct more real road after due scene consideration by specific and various low-cost strategy in the environmental impact assessment afterwards.

National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency(NGA) developed VPF in mid 1980 to digitalize military geospatial information. However, because VPF is very complicated system and was severly inefficient in producing, maintaining, and managing the data, VPF was required to be replaced by more efficient data format. These requests resulted in an integrated schema, and eventually VPF. The main idea of using FDB in the production of digital map of non-accessible area is to increase the accuracy. This research focuses on the production of high accuracy digital map by utilizing the FDB. The accuracy of digital map by FDB and by DGN was individually compared with 1m CIB imagery of the Korean peninsula. By analyzing 38 check points based on CIB, DGN showed RMSE of 52m X axis and 49m Y axis. FDB showed 15m in X axis and 13m in Y axis. These results show that the digital map produced using FDB has much higher accuracy than DGN based digital map.

In this study, we introduce examples of overseas designing and managing bicycle-user road based on GIS(a target of America and Canada). And we purpose construction-necessity of Bicycle Road Management System(BRMS) using GIS technique in domestic.

$\ulcorner$ ]국토의 계획 및 이용에 관한 법률$\lrcorner$ 개정은 국토 개발에 있어서 '선 계획 후 개발'이라는 원칙하에 국토 및 도시를 삶의 질 향상, 도시공간의 효율적 개발, 관리, 보전하는데 환경친화적으로 관리하고자 하였다. 선 계획 후 개발이라는 기조 하에 도시공간의 사회적, 지형적, 지리적, 문화적 등 다양한 측면으로 검토 및 분석을 통해 보전과 개발의 적합한 토지를 분류하는 방안이 필수적일 것이며, 이에 대한 의사결정을 함에 있어서 과학적 효율적인 분석방법이 필요하다. 본 연구는 증평군을 대상으로 충남 연기군의 행정중심복합도시의 입지, 진천 음성군의 혁신도시 선정, 증평지방산업단지조성 등 도시 내 외의 여건변화 및 도시의 확장, 주변 도시인구의 지속적 증가 등으로 인한 도시공간구조 재검토를 위하여 GSIS 기법을 이용하여 공간분석을 수행하여 도시개발 적지분석을 수행하였다. -
본 연구는 현재 충주호 주변의 수치지도 및 위성영상자료를 이용하여 기존의 DEM 자료로부터 3-D 영상을 생성하고 공간분석을 수행하였으며, 영상의 시계열분석을 하기 위하여 2000년 영상과 2003년 영상의 비교 분석하였다. 현재 연구중인 충주호 주변 토양도와 위성영상을 이용하여 토사유출특성 및 토양유실량을 산정 평가하였다. 충주호를 대상으로 유역특성과 유역내에서 발생되는 토사유출에 관한 정보를 분석함으로서 충주호 유역의 효율적인 관리방안을 모색하고 호수로 유입되는 하천수의 오염을 줄일 수 있도록 하였다.

Efficient extraction and update of imagery is a crucial element in establishing latest geospatial information in today's fast changing Information society. Provision of Quick Bird imagery, with 61cm resolution panchromatic imagery and 2.5m resolution multi-chromatic imagery is contributing greatly in the application field if high density geospatial information. This research have conducted digital plotting utilizing stereo images provided by QuickBird satellite and evaluated the accuracy through comparison and analysis with digital map results. It turned out that result has smaller error than standard deviation of scale of 1:5,000 set by the NGII. This proves that the production of digital map at scale of 1:5,000 is possible.

Road Design is being reached to the working design to produce drawings, calculate construction quantity and cost, through the basic design that contained feasibility study and all impact assessment. In general, to plan the route we use topographic map. The vertical positional accuracy is 30cm and horizontal positional accuracy is 35cm in 1:1,000 scale topographic map. In LiDAR, vertical positional accuracy is 15cm and horizontal positional accuracy is 30cm. So if we use LiDAR on road design, more accurate earth-volumn will be calculated when we plan the route. In this paper we try to find the method to use the LiDAR data on road design by drawing the profile and cross sectional view and comparing the earth-volumn to the road that working design is in process adopting the topographic map and LiDAR data.

Recently, With explosive national land developments construction fields ate increasing, and slope failures are disastrous when they occur in mountainous area adjoining highways. but public institutions and supervisors, to manage slope need GIS for managing it more quickly and correctly. For manage slope, it is nesessary to use new IT, especially wireless internet. The current domestic population using cell phones exceeded 30 million and the domestic wireless Internet environment has matured, but implementation of mobile technology for government services isnot matured enough. In this paper the author proposed a new system of mobile PPT monitoring for managing slope inspection for Ubiquitous Environment. This new system manages data in real time and reduces human power when applied to current working environments. For development of landslide risk assessment techniques using GIS(Geographic Information System), this study classifies the category of socioeconomic factors. The landslide quantitative risk assessment performs first prediction of flow trajectory and runout distance of debris flow over natural terrain. Based on those results, it can be analyzed the factors of socioeconomic which are directly related to the magnitude of risk due to landslide hazards. Those risk assessment results can deliver factual damage situation prediction to policy making for the landslide damage mitigation. Therefore, this study is based on feature classification of the digital map ver. 2.0 provided by the National Geographic Information Institute. The category of factors can be used as useful data in preventing landslide.

Kangwondo area is mountainous and landslide happens easily during the rainy period in summer time. Especially, when there is torrential downpour caused by the unusual weather change, there will be greater possibility to see landslide. Another reason behind landslide is the continuous forest fire in these several years. Since the surface of the earth has been changed by the fire, when rainfall comes, landslide just happens easily. Also, it is reported that landcover condition, excepted rainfall condition, is the most effect for determining landslide susceptibility area. In this study, it is determined a landslide vulnerable area and landcover information is extracted from four satellite image(Landsat TM), about the landslide vulnerable area, which is pictured for each year. And which distribution change is analyzed.

Laser scanning technology with high positional accuracy and high density automation will be widely applied in vast range of fields including geomatics. Especially, the development of laser scanning technology enabling long range information extraction is increasing its full use in civil engineering. The purpose of this study is to extract accurate highway geometric information taking the advantages of scanning technology. Fulfilling this goal, the information of target highway's three-dimensional data was obtained through terrestrial laser scanning technology. In accordance with the result from target highway's geometric information extraction using the information above, laser scanning technology showed faster speed and better accuracy on highway geometric information extraction with reduced cost compared to traditional methods.

The improved accuracy of the Land Cover/Land Use Map constructed using Hyperspectal Satellite Image and the possibility of real time classification of Land Use using optimal Band Selective Factor enable the change detection from automatic classification using the existed Land Cover/Land Use Map and the newly acquired Hyperspectral Satellite Image. In this study, the effective analysis techniques for automatic generation of training regions, automatic classification and automatic change detection are proposed to minimize the expert's interpretation for automatic update of the Land Cover/Land Use Map. The proposed algorithms performed successfully the automatic Land Cover/Land Use Map construction, automatic change detection and automatic update on the image which contained the changed region. It would increase applicability in actual services. Also, it would be expected to present the effective methods of constructing national land monitoring system.

There has been many researches using LiDAR(Light Detection And Ranging) data. There has been many other researches through out the world using the 3 dimensional spatial data in various fields. In this research, Using lidar data and digital images, we have extracted the position of the power-transmission line and created 3 dimensional models. The presented method is more efficient than field surveying and it can also be used lot monitoring change in the environment

Losing a child is one fear parents never want to experiences. Nothing can take away the anguish of it. Unfortunately, it happens all too often. A lost child problem is the social problem that all parents should be worried about. To this, this study applies RFID for lost child prevention. RFID technology is developing to position recognition technology in addition to functions to distinguish a thing. Although RFID is not designed for location sensing, but now it is regarded as a device to facilitate real time location awareness. It is also possible to transfer information in the USN. Those advantages of RFID can be integrated with LBS achieving much synergy. However, such technology is mostly used indoors and outdoor research case is short. Therefore, this study is the preceding study having progressed to actual application. This study verifies technical applied service, and presents a system configuration model. Finally, this paper confirms lost child prevention system utilization possibility.

National Geotechnical Information Database Project based on GIS has begun as public works and continued until now, the whole of country has been target on since the 2003. Today, the 60,581 number of geotechnical data(counted by bering number) have been constructed as GIS-DB and they are being serviced at the National Geotechnical Information Integration Management System(NGIIMS)(http://www.geoinfo.or.kr). In this study, we considered operation status of NGIIMS, GIS-DB distribution of Geotechnical Information and utilization in order to investgate applicability of National Geotechnical Information Database. The results appeared that Geotechnical Information DB was along road-center, and in the case of complex, was only to some area. But after the 2007 when the law of computerization responsibility would be institutionalized, the more geotechnical data will be constructed and be able to use at a construction site.

Korea is topographically and meteorologically prone to natural disasters. In addition to extraordinary weather, localized heavy rain is a irregular occurrence. Korea are frequently damaged by rain, wind, flood, etc. Recently, slope failures are disastrous when they occur in mountainous area adjoining highways. The accidents associated with slope failures have increased due to rapid urbanization of mountainous area. Therefore, the inspection of slope is conducted to maintain highway safety as well as road function. We developed basic function and risk management of a partial shape on highway slopes based on the internet. It is important for quantitative risk evaluation of highway slopes.

To minimize damages caused by landslides due to severe rain falls and storms during the rainy season every year, it is necessary to carry out research to monitor the symptoms of landslide in advance and prevent them. If proper actions ate taken in advance by monitoring the symptoms of landslide, personal and property damages caused by landslides can be prevented or minimized. This study tries to measure the movement of model slopes after causing displacement to each model slope using no prism Total Station and examine the applicability of Total Station by displacement through the analysis of the data.

To construct road spatial information database, it is the main object of this study that an analysis of road factors and furthermore this is used to the rescue activities in case of urban disasters. When urban disasters such as earthquake or explosion cause fire and collapses people of the affected region happen to evacuate. But only to manage roads and monitor traffic volume, the road data is designed and managed using digital topographic map so it is short that the design of road spatial data to prevent disasters. In this study, we tried to suggest the evaluative factors of evacuation to design database : road width, traffic volume, the fixed or movable obstacles installed, the surrounding environments that dominate the land-use planning, the uses, materials, structures, sizes, and densities of the buildings. Thus, these could provide fundamental data to determine the disasters management planning for evacuation and rescue activities, to evaluate the riskiness, and to draw up hazard information map.

Mobile facility management system is a on-site management tool to collect and update various facility data. But there is a chance to make a data inconsistency between lot of concurrent workers. And facility management system requires to keep records about work log within a certain period of time. This paper describes the design and implementation of mobile facility management system, which provide efficient data synchronization mechanism using version managent technique on large facility data in concurrent work environment. And proposed system is able to keep workers update log persistently.

The application of 3 dimensional virtual reality continuously pursues 3 dimensional system implementation in geographical information system, and is applied and studied in various fields like visualization, simulation, and 3 dimensional analysis. Orthoimage produced to construct basic data of virtual city is evaluated in accuracy, to fall in allowable error of the specification of image map generation. In this paper, 3 dimensional virtual city is constructed and evaluated around Bucheon University using 3 dimensional virtual reality technique and digital photogrammetry. Consequently, the constructed 3 dimensional virtual city around Bucheon University can visualize 3 dimensional reality, to help making decision. It can be substituted for existed 2 dimensional GIS in public and private sectors, and be helpful to decision makers.

빗물 및 폐수가 흘러가는 하수관은 자연 유하식으로 하수가 흘러갈 수 있도록 설계되어있는 관의 특성상 침전물이 많이 발생하며, 집중호우로 발생하는 다량의 빗물이 빠른 유속으로 관을 흐르기 때문에 관내부를 손상시키는 요인으로 작용하고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 관 내부를 촬영할 수 있는 궤도차량을 통해 동영상 자료를 획득하고 영상의 이미지 보정 단계를 거쳐 그래픽 파일로 변환한후 관련 정보를 입력, 저장하는 시스템 개발을 본 연구의 주요 범위로 한다. 이미지보정은 동영상을 거리의 함수를 가지는 이미지 파일로 변환하고 각각의 획득된 이미지를 영상정합기법을 사용하여 하나의 연속된 이미지 형태로 저장하여 영상 해석을 통해 균열, 침전등의 사항을 도출하여 도출된 사항은 지리정보 체계와 연동할 수 있는 파일 체계를 갖추도록 개발하였다.

A laser scanning technique has been attracting much attention as a new technology to acquire location information. This technique might be applicable to a wide range of areas, most notably in geomatics, due to its high accuracy of location and automation of high-density data acquisition. In this study, the coastline was extracted using laser scanning. Through this laser scanning technique, efficient change detection of coast section can be ensured and also they can provide important information to be used when detecting a coast section in the future.

This study is on the development of optimal method for transforming cadastral map to be referred to KGD2002. The method was developed by referring to the method used at transforming Korean National Digital Topographic Map to be referred to KGD2002 and analysing the records about making cadastral map. We tested the method by transforming the cadastral maps of three sample sites and analysing the accuracy of transformed maps. It was proved that the method could be used at transforming cadastral map to be referred to KGD2002 for the propose of being related to National Digital Topographic Map, National GIS data, and so on. We also introduce the longitudinal process for transforming national cadastral maps to be used as a data to verify land ownership.

The major purpose of the present study is to gauge the general applicability of cadastral surveying and LiDAR surveying. LiDAR survey is the method which obtains Geospatial information of the terrain. We will get a most topographic models at Digital Elevation Model(DEM) using LiDAR survey data. Also, we will consider both the surface parcel partition and volume parcel as a part of Geospatial relationship model. This study will focus on enhancing the efficiency and analysis of continual cadastral map and LiDAR DEM. I would like to close by proposing that LiDAR surveying will contribute in cadastral surveying.

Positioning technology for moving object is an important and essential component of ubiquitous. Also RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification) is a core technology of ubiquitous wireless communication. In this study we adapted kalman-filter theory to RFID-based Positioning System in order to trace a time-variant moving object and verify the positioning accuracy using RMSE (Roong technology for moving object is an important and essential component of ubiquitous Mean Square Error). The purpose of this study is to verify an effect of kalman-filter on the positioning accuracy and to analyze what does each design factor have an effect on the positioning accuracy by means of simulations and to suggest a standard of optimal design factor of a RFID-based Positioning System. From the results of simulations, Kalman-filer improved the positioning accuracy remarkably; the detection range of RFID tag is not a determining factor. The smaller standard deviation of detection range improves the positioning accuracy. However it accompanies a smaller fluctuation of the positioning accuracy. The larger detection rate of RFID tag yields the smaller fluctuation in the positioning accuracy and has more stable system and improves the positioning accuracy;

There is an inseparable relation between human race and engineering work. As world developed into highly industrialized society, a diversity of large structures is being built up correspondently to limited topographical circumstance. Though large structures are national establishments which provide us with convenience of life, there are some disastrous possibilities which were never predicted such as ground subsidence and degradation. It is very difficult to analyze the volume of total metamorphosis with the relative displacement measurement system which is now used and it is impossible to know whether there is structural metamorphosis within a permissible range of design or not. In this research with an object of 13-year-old earthen dam, through generating point-cloud which has 3D spatial coordinates(x, y, z) of this dam by means of 3D Laser Scanning, we can get real configuration data of slanting surface of this dam with this method of getting a number of 3D spatial coordinates(x, y, z). It gives 3D spatial model to us and we can get various information of this dam such as the distance of slanting surface of dam, dimensions and cubic volume. It can be made full use of as important source material of reinforcement and maintenance works to detect previously the bulging of the dam through this research.

Currently, aortal surveying is getting advanced in the world. New digital equipment for aerial surveying makes improvement of accuracy, economical efficiency and reduces cost. for a result, however, there are required to produce a accurate product. In this study, we used two kinds of data, the one which used only GPS/INS data and the other one which used GPS/INS data added on GCPs from digital maps, and made as a mosaic to compare both of them whether which one is better based on digital maps. the result is that the data which used GPS/INS data added on GCPs from digital maps was a lot better than GPS/INS data.

Long time ago, Korea region based on the agriculture society has been changed in terms of a variety of factors, differently a metropolis. Specially the region located nearby urban area generates a number of variations by the environmental, economic and social factors, these variations have appeared with the similar characteristics in other areas. On that score, if we classify variation factors by means of analyzing quantitative or assign the standards or weights to apply as a agent concept, will anticipate mote accurate information of the land-use ratio, squares related of agriculture region in the future. In this study, we estimated applicable possibilities and extract the variation factor between annual surveying images and real values which estimated local products, variation factors related of attributes through Landsat images of Korea for the 5 years.

In this study, 3D building reconstruction and road design were performed using LiDAR data, digital map and airborne digital image. Information for tourism was extracted from digital maps (scale: 1/5,000) of Jeju Island, and then route of the road was determined for road design. Reconstructed buildings, aerial image and designed road were overlayed with tourism information for 3D simulation. In addition, landscape analysis was performed and result of the road design was visualized.

A golf course provides comfortable leisure space, but construction of it demands eco-friendly design which minimizes the environmental spoil and harmonizes its surroundings. Therefore, it is highly recommended that appropriate understanding of existing golf course, accurate estimation of new golf course design and precise construction. In this study, data for golf course design were researched using LiDAR intensity. Consequently, a sectional registration data of a golf course was generated efficiently.

On the road, geometric structure such as horizontal alignment, vortical alignment and crossing inclination ate important to explain characteristics of road and safety analysis. Especially, horizontal and vortical alignment are have to do with safety of covering. In existing road, for the safety analysis or alignment improvement and expansion pavement, it needs alignment factor of road. Alignment factor of road can be acquired by design drawing. But, design drawing can be not exist because of rack of facility management and national policy that centered to construction. And also, existing design drawing have a lot of differences in comparison with another existing design drawing cause of alignment improvement. In this case, for the precise analysis of alignment, 3-dimensional location information on the road centerline and acquisition of location information which related geometric structure are must to be preceded. In this study, therefore, it provide alignment factors which needed to alignment improvement and road safety analysis by acquisition of road space information and extraction of road centerline data using LiDAR data.

In this study, we estimated the effect of the traffic noise in urban area using the LiDAR data. The propagation of noise has a strong relationship between distance and shape of surface. Therefore, it is necessary to consider the distribution of buildings for estimating noise assessment in urban area because noise propagations will be affected by buildings. For this, we were developed DEM and DBM using the LiDAR data in order to analyze the propagation of traffic noise precisely in urban area. The level of traffic noise were calculated by investigating the real volume of traffic in study area. The SoundPLAN S/W and RLS90 algorithm was used for traffic noise assessment.

The aimed to development general management system that can manage diverse facilities of city using RFID. Defining data format of items in each management, type and code for the urban facilities, the researcher designed database of urban facilities through the process of establishing logic model and data modelling. By inputting designed database into RFID Tag of each urban facilities and using RFID Reader and PDA, the researcher developed system that can efficiently manage the basic attributes and information and management information of urban facilities. Further, it was found that the characteristics of RFID Tag and GPS should improve the optimal hardware combination and PDA performance for the surrounding environmental influence and system performance.
