침수피해에 의한 벼 감수량 추정기법 개발 (Development of Estimation Technique for Rice Yield Reduction by Inundation Damage)

  • The amount of rice yield reduction due to inundation should be estimated to analyse economic efficiency of the farmland drainage improvement projects because those projects are generally promoted to mitigate flood inundation damage to rice in Korea. Estimation of rice yield reduction will also provide information on the flood risk performance to farmers. This study presented the relationships between inundated durations and rice yield reduction rates for different rice growth stages from the observed data collected from 1966 to 2000 in Korea, and developed the rice yield reduction estimation model (RYREM). RYREM was applied to the test watershed for estimating the rice yield reduction rates and the amount of expected average annual rice yield reduction by the rainfalls with 48 hours duration, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200 years return periods.

SLM 공정 기법으로 제작한 AlSi10Mg 인장특성에 관한 연구 (Study on Tensile Properties of AlSi10Mg produced by Selective Laser Melting)

  • 선택적 레이저 용융 (Selective Laser Melting) 기법은 금속 소재를 다루는 대표적인 3D 프린팅 기법중의 하나이다. SLM 기법으로 제작되는 구조물의 특성을 좌우하는 주요 제작 인자로는 구조물의 적층 제작 방향, 레이저 파워, 레이저 스캔 스피드 및 스캔 간격 등을 고려할 수 있다. 이번 연구에서는 AlSi10Mg 합금을 대상 소재로 하여, 인장 시편의 제작 방향, 레이저 스캔 스피드 및 스캔 간격을 변수로 하여, 인장특성 결과를 비교 분석하였다. 인장특성으로는 항복 응력, 인장강도 및 연신율을 고려하였다. 시험결과로부터, 인장 시편의 제작 방향 기준으로 0도, 45도, 90도 순서로 항복 응력 값이 낮아짐을 확인하였다. 레이저 스캔 스피드 기준으로는 1870mm/min에서 가장 큰 항복 응력값을 보였으며, 스캔 스피드가 낮아질수록 항복 응력 크기도 줄어들었다. 레이저 스캔 간격 기준으로, 그 크기가 증가할수록 항복 응력값은 증가하지만, 다른 시험 기준에 비해 그 변화폭은 가장 적었다. 인장강도 및 연신율은 시험조건에 따른 명확한 경향성을 파악하기 어려웠다.

  • The research proposes the hypergeometric, binomial and Poisson yield models for defective and defect. The paper also presents the hypothesis test, confidence interval and control charts for DPU(Defect Per Unit) and DPO(Defect Per Opportunity). Especially the study considers the analysis of compound Poisson yield models using various DOU density distributions.

Modelling the rheological behaviour of fresh concrete: An elasto-viscoplastic finite element approach

  • Rheological behaviour of fresh concrete is an important factor in controlling concrete quality. It is recognized that the measurement of the slump is not a sufficient test method to adequately characterize the rheology of fresh concrete. To further understand the slump measurement and its relationship to the rheological properties, an elasto-viscoplastic, 2-D axisymmetric finite element (FE) model is developed. The FE model employs the Bingham material model to simulate the flow of a slump test. An experimental program is carried out using the Slump Rate Machine (SLRM_II) to evaluate the finite element simulation results. The simulated slump-versus-time curves are found to be in good agreement with the measured data. A sensitivity study is performed to evaluate the effects of yield stress, plastic viscosity and cone withdrawal rate on the measured flow curve using the FE model. The results demonstrate that the computed yield stress compares well with reported experimental data. The flow behaviour is shown to be influenced by the yield stress, plastic viscosity and the cone withdrawal rate. Further, it is found that the value of the apparent plastic viscosity is different from the true viscosity, with the difference depending on the cone withdrawal rate. It is also confirmed that the value of the final slump is most influenced by the yield stress.

Effect of shape and amount of transverse reinforcement on lateral confinement of normal-strength concrete columns

  • The amount and configuration of transverse reinforcement are known as critical parameters that significantly affect the lateral confinement of concrete, the ductility capacity, and the plastic hinge length of RC columns. Based on test results, this study investigated the effect of the three variables on structural indexes such as neutral axis depth, lateral expansion of concrete, and ductility capacity. Five reinforced concrete column specimens were tested under cyclic flexure and shear while simultaneously subjected to a constant axial load. The columns were reinforced by two types of reinforcing steel: rectangular hoops and spiral type reinforcing bars. The variables in the test program were the shape, diameter, and yield strength of transverse reinforcement. The interactive influence of the amount of transverse reinforcement on the structural indexes was evaluated. Test results showed that when amounts of transverse reinforcement were similar, and yield strength of transverse reinforcement was 600 MPa or less, the neutral axis depth of a column with spiral type reinforcing bars was reduced by 28% compared with that of a column reinforced by existing rectangular hoops at peak strength. While the diagonal elements of spiral-type reinforcing bars significantly contributed to the lateral confinement of concrete, the strain of diagonal elements decreased with increases of their yield strength. It was confirmed that shapes of transverse reinforcement significantly affected the lateral confinement of concrete adjacent to plastic hinges. Transverse reinforcement with a yield strength exceeding 600 MPa, however, increased the neutral axis depth of normal-strength concrete columns at peak strength, resulting in reductions in ductility and energy dissipation capacity.

  • 수송기기의 연비향상과 에너지 절감을 위하여 자동차 업계를 비롯한 각종 산업 전반에 마그네슘 합금의 적용이 확대되고 있는 추세이다. 조밀육방 격자 구조(HCP)를 갖는 마그네슘 합금의 경우, 낮은 성형성과 강한 소성 비대칭성 및 소성 이방성으로 인하여 실제 부품의 적용에 많은 제약조건이 수반되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 CPB06 항복함수를 이용하여 AZ31의 인장-압축 비대칭성을 모델링하고 이를 이용하여 AZ31 튜브의 압괴해석을 수행하고자 하였다.

  • In the semiconductor manufacturing, yield enhancement is an urgent issue. It is ideal to prevent all the failures. However, when a failure occurs, it is important to quickly specify the cause stage and take countermeasure. Reviewing wafer level and composite lot level yield patterns has always been an effective way of identifying yield inhibitors and driving process improvement. This process is very time consuming and as such generally occurs only when the overall yield of a device has dropped significantly enough to warrant investigation. The automatic method of failure pattern extraction from fail bit map provides reduced time to analysis and facilitates yield enhancement. 검정일 1회 검정에 의한 착유우의 1일 유량 추정시 오차와 정확도 (Bias and Accuracy of Single Milking Testing Schemes to Estimate Daily Milk)

  • This study was conducted to evaluate the adequacy of an alternative a.m.-p.m. testing scheme for milk yield in comparison with the official test method based on weighing two milkings within 24 h. A total of 8,309 p.m. milking weights and 6,767 a.m. milking weights from 72 Holstein cows raised at N.L.R.I. were collected between October 2000 and November 2001. Ratios were computes for daily milk yield to a.m. and p.m. milking weights(direct yield ratios) and ratios of a.m. and p.m. milking weights to daily milk yield (inverse yield ratios). Analysis of variance indicated that the milking interval is the most important source of variation for yield ratios. Adjustment factors for estimating daily milk yield from single milking weights were derived through regression analysis of direct and inverse yield ratios on the length of the milking interval. Daily milk yield was estimated more precisely and accurately when adjustment factors were used than when single milking weights were doubled. In conclusion, alternative recording of a.m. and p.m. milking weights led to reliable estimates of milk yields.

  • Titanium alloy sheets have excellent specific strength and corrosion resistance as well as good performance at high temperature. Recently, titanium alloys are widely employed not only aerospace parts but also bio prothesis and motorcycle. However, due to the low formability and large spring back at room temperature, titanium alloy sheets were usually formed by slow forming or hot forming with heating die and specimen. In the sheet metal forming area, FE simulation technique to optimize forming process is widely used. To achieve high accuracy FE simulation results, Identification of material properties and deformation characteristic such as yield function are very important. In this study, uniaxial tensile and biaxial tensile test of Ti-6Al-4V alloy sheet with thickness of 1.0mm were performed at elevated temperature of 873k. Biaxial tensile tests with cruciform specimen were performed until the specimen was breakdown to characterize the yield locus of Ti-6Al-4V alloy sheet. The experimental results for yield locus are compared with the theoretical predictions based on Von Mises, Hill, Logan-Hosford, and Balat's model. Among these Logan-Hosford's yield criterion well predicts the experimental results.

냉간성형 각형강관 T형 접합부의 항복선해석 전용한계 (Application limit of Yield Line Analysis on Welded T-joints in Cold-Formed SHS Sections)

  • 본 논문은 지관에 압축력을 받는 냉간성형 각형강관 T형 용접접합부의항복선 해석에 관한 연구이다. 기존 연구 중 냉간성형 정방형 각형강관 T형 용접 접합부만을 포함하는 실험결과와 Kato, Packer, Zhao, CIDECT 및 본 연구진들의 제안식을 비교하였다. 제안된 항복선 모델의 적용한계치를 제안하기 위하여, 항복선 해석에 기초하여 이전 논문에서 제안된 항복선모델을 재검토하였다. 제안된 항복선 모델은 냉간성형 각형강관 곡률부와 용접크기를 고려한다. 마지막으로, 실험상의 실체 파괴모드와 해석상의 비교결과를 참조하여, 항복선 해석의 적용범위를 ${\beta}^{\prime}{\leq}0.8$로 제안하였다. 여기서, ${\beta}^{\prime}=0.8$, ${\beta}^{\prime}=b_1^{\prime}/b_0^{\prime}$, $b_1{^{\prime}}=b_1+t_0$, $b_0{^{\prime}}=b_0-t_0$.
