  • This thesis is based on an in-depth interview on participation experience of ten immigrants who reside in S Multi-cultural Family Support Center that is located in Gyeonggi-do in Korea Immigration & Integration Program(KIIP). The purpose of this research is to present through it's basic data for improvement in the operation of KIIP in the future by grasping participation process in KIIP that the immigrants have experienced, problems involved in their operation, and related requirements. Major results of the research are as follows: First, the motive for the immigrants' participation in KIIP was to acquire Korean nationality, learn Korean, and prepare for their future in Korea. Second, as a difficulty in participation in KIIP, access to educational institutions loomed large. Third, regarding improvements in the operation of KIIP, marriage immigrants needed to continue Korean language education, whereas other immigrants revealed a demand for opening evening classes or weekend classes. In the final analysis, it seems that for KIIP to provide an opportunity for the immigrants to have a vision for their life in the future, as well as for its realization in Korean society, policy-oriented institutional support that pays attention to their life situation and demands is badly needed.

  • The purpose of the study lied on supporting the reeducation program which was focused on the demand with the clients by analyzing the recognition on the real situations of the reeducation on the hair designers in the nation. As a result on the subject, the responders said they could usually learn new information through the various seminars that were held by beauty product suppliers and companies, and most of the high school or under high school level designers have participated in various seminars while the designers who graduated from a junior college or universities had experienced new trends at life time education establishments(p<0.01). A hair designer who was single and paid low salary usually depended on the course inside the shop(p<0.01), and most of the information they got was through the suppliers of the beauty products. In that case, regular sources of information, such as educational establishments, informative magazines, Internet were highly recommended. A reason for unsatisfactory reeducation was due to lack of time and a reason for not participating the seminar was also due to time shortage caused by regular working hours, which was reflecting the real situation of the hair designers. As a suggestion for the reeducation establishment, most of the responders wanted vocational schools or life-time educational center. They wanted a fixed regular period for reeducation, especially over the weekend for after working hours. It means they want long-time systematic education. Considering the results, a course which is organized for a long-time systematic purpose is suggested for the hair dressers who want to be professionals in the field with the class equipped with contents of the classes, period, and place. For the purpose to be realized, improvement of the working hours in needed and it will be an incentive to make the hair designers satisfied with their work.

  • Various policies and studies regarding use of PBSS (Public Bike Sharing System) and Programs (PBSP) have been conducted worldwide as the number systems or programs has increased. Although various phenomena and demands have been generated by the use of PBSS in everyday life, the majority of research and the policies in South Korea have been implemented focused on commuting life. The purpose of this study aimed to understand various PBSS demands using PBSS usage data in 2018 in the Yeouido districts through classifying usage patterns and analyzing features. The rental stations were classified into three types based on weekday/weekend usage rates. The usage of Yeouido's PBSS accounted for 4.3% of the total usage in Seoul Metropolitan City, while the number of PBSS rental stations accounted for 2% of all rental stations in the Seoul urban areas. Rental stations with a higher weekday utilization rates showed high utilization rates in all four seasons and were mainly distributed in work and residential areas. Other stations showed a concentrated usage pattern in spring (April-May) and autumn (September-October) seasons, and their locations were close to the entrance of nearby parks. Besides, renting and returning were often concentrated at certain rental stations for high weekend utilization as compared to the pattern of high weekday usage. Therefore, PBSS management and programs should be operated to reflect various usage demands rather than uniform PBSS operations. The result of this study is meaningful to provide basic data for effective PBSS operation by monitoring the demand for PBSS usage in spatio-temporal terms.

  • The university e-learning classes give a major focused on practical training in the art and design field are opened such as theory classes. The cyber universities that fully gives on-line classes even open as theory classes. They speak about difficulty and limitation of operating cyber class with practice. So, many of them organize off-line special lecture at the classroom in weekend. In the reason of studying that has the constraints of time and space, the student wastage rates in cyber universities are going higher. This research focused on giving an efficient e-learning practice environment in college e-learning courses, and operated scholastic achievement test between the augmented reality(AR) based practice education and the existing classroom based practice education. The subjects of study were totally 84 people who are the freshmen of the design department in the two-year diploma course college. They were divided 3 groups which one was treated AR based practice e-learning and two others groups were existing classroom based practice. Each of the group took the same treated lecture during 7 weeks. The first of the outcome was the AR based practice e-learning was more effective than existing classroom based practice on the side of scholastic achievement. The second, the AR based practice e-learning aroused increasing in the interest in class on the side of attribute factors. • Background: Particulate matter (PM10, PM2.5) and black carbon contribute to poor air quality in urban areas, and can also affect indoor environments. Exposure to PM can be associated with respiratory and lung diseases. Objectives: This study investigated the indoor and outdoor concentration distribution patterns of PM10, PM2.5, and black carbon at an apartment building, a typical residential space in the metropolitan areas of South Korea, by season, day of the week (weekday vs. weekend), and time of the day. It aims to obtain foundational data for the effective management of pollutants and investigate the difference in pollution levels between indoor and outdoor environments. Methods: Indoor and outdoor concentrations of PM and black carbon were measured at an apartment building located in Namyangju, Gyeonggi-do Province, using dust sensors and an Aethalometer AE51 (AethLabs, San Francisco, CA, USA) over the course of a year from June 2020 to May 2021. The concentration distribution patterns were analyzed by season and time of day. Results: PM10 and PM2.5 concentrations in the outdoor environment were higher than those in the indoor environment, regardless of the season. By contrast, the indoor black carbon concentration was higher than that in the outdoor environment during summer and autumn. The concentrations of PM10, PM2.5 and black carbon were found to be higher on weekdays than during weekends, especially during rush hour, with concentrations of 25.92~56.58 ㎍/m3, 21.12~44.82 ㎍/m3, 0.63~3.40 ㎍/m3. Conclusions: The outdoor concentrations of PM10, PM2.5, and black carbon were higher during the weekdays, especially during rush hour, than during weekends. This study is expected to provide basic data for the health management of apartment occupants because it is measured over a period of more than one year.
