Purpose : What confirm a patient's set-up precisely is an important factor in stereotactic radiosurgery Especially, the tumor is moved by respiration in case of lung cancer. So it is difficult to confirm a exact location by L-gram or EPID. I will verify a exact patient's set-up about this sort of problem by verification system(exactrac 3.0) Materials and Methods : The patient that had lung cancer operated on stereotactic radiosurgery is composed of 6 people. The 5 patients use an ABC tool and 1 patient doesn't use it. I got such a patient's L-gram and EPID image by Body frame(elekta, sweden), compared Ant. image with Lat. one, and then confirmed a set-up. I fused DRR image of CT and X-ray image of Verification system(exactrac 3.0) 3 dimensional, analyzed the coordinate value(vertical, longitudinal, lateral), and then confirmed a difference of existing method. Results : In case of L-gram and EPID, we judge an exact of the patient's set-up subjectively, and on we could treat the patient with radiation. As a result of using Verification system(exactrac 3.0), coordinate value(vertical, longitudinal, lateral) of patient's set-up was comprised within 5mm. We could estimate a difference of the coordinate value visually and objectively. Consequently, Verification system(exactrac 3.0) was useful in judging an exact patient's set-up. Conclusion : In case of Verification system(exactrac 3.0), we can confirm an exact patient's set-up at any time whenever, However, there are several kinds of the demerit. First, it is a complex process of confirmation than the existing process. Second, thickness of CT scan slice is within 3mm. The last, X-ray image has to have shown itself clearly. If we solve this problem. stereotactic radiosurgery will be useful in treating patients why we can confirm an exact patient's positioning easily.
The purpose of this study is to locate the proper position of the lower occlusal plane according to individual skeletal pattern. Cephalometric films of 234 subjects of the control group, 358 of the pretreatment group and 358 of the treated group were analyzed to study proper relationships between vertical dimension ratio(VDR) and lower occlusomandibular plane angle(LOM). The control group was divided into two subgroups by the age. The first subgroup consisted of 113 subjects of the age 14 years and under and with the mean age of 10.82 years. The other subgroup consisted of 113 subjects of the age 18 years and above with the mean age of 23.76 years. The pretreatment group was divided into three subgroups by the age. The first subgroup consisted of 274 subjects of the age 14 years and under with the mean age of 11.36 years. The second subgroup consisted of 54 subjects of the age 14 through 18 years with the mean age of 15.4 years. The last subgroup consisted of 30 subjects of the age 18 years and above with the mean age of 21.35 years. The treated group was also divided into three subgroups by the age. The first subgroup consisted of 145 subjects of the age 14 years and under with the mean age of 12.91 years. The second subgroup consisted of 166 subjects of the age 14 through 18 years with the mean age of 15.64 years. The last subgroup consisted of 47 subjects of the age 18 years and above with the mean age of 21.61 years. Cephalometric films of the sample were traced. Measurements were made to a hundredth using a program specifically prepared for this study, and the results were entered into a 486DX PC. Means and Standard deviations of all the veriables were calculated for each group. Correlation coefficients between pertinent variables were calculated. Significance tests on those coefficients, one-way ANOVA and t-tests between variables or groups were performed. On the basis of the results studied above, certain subjects were selected from the control and the treated groups to locate the proper position of the occlusal plane, and designated as the optimal occluaion group. The subjects of this optimal occlusion group had 1-3 mm overbite, 1-3 mm of overjet and less than 1.75 mm of curve of Spee. A total subjects of 187 in this group consisted 104 treated subjects and 83 control group. Regression analysis was carried out between VDR and LOM, and regression equations were tabulated for this optimal occlusion group. The results were as follows : 1. Highly significant correlations were observed between various variables useful for identifying vertical component of skeletal frame, but any one particular variable did not accurately indicate the magnitude of anterior vertical overbite. 2. Of the variables useful identifying vertical component of skeletal frame, The VDR showed the highest correlation to the LOM. 3. Of the total sample, 80 percent had overbite within the normal range, irrespective of VDR. 4. The optimal occlusion group was divided into 9 subgroups by the age and the anteroposterior skeletal pattern, and correlation coefficient and determination coefficient between VDR and LOM of each group were calculated. Correlation coefficients and determination coefficients were found to be significantly high in all groups. 5. Regression equation was induced for each of the optimal occlusion group to find proper LOM according to the VDR. 6. It was found that the mean value of the cant of occlusal plane itself is not enough for a diagnosis and a treatment plan. Rather, It is very important to locate the proper occlusal plane for an Individual skeletal pattern.
In this study, an unbraced five-story steel-framed structure was designed in accordance with KBC2005 to understand the features of structural behavior for the arrangement of semi-rigid connections. A pushover analysis of the structural models was performed, wherein all the connections were idealized as fully rigid and semi-rigid. Additionally, horizontal and vertical arrangements of the semi-rigid connection were adopted for the models. A fiber model was utilized for the moment-curvature relationship of the steel beam and the column, and a three-parameter power model was adopted for the moment-rotation angle of the semi-rigid connection. The top displacement, base-shear force, required ductility for the connection, sequence of the plastic hinge, and design factors such as the overstrength factor, ductility factor, and response modification coefficient were investigated using the pushover analysis of a 2D structure subjected to the equivalent static lateral force of KBC2005. The partial arrangement of the semi-rigid connection was found to have secured higher strength and lateral stiffness than that of the A-Semi frame, and greater ductility than the A-Rigid frame. The TSD connection was found suitable for use for economy and safety in the sample structure.

Masonry infill walls are frequently used as interior partitions and exterior walls in low- or middle- rise RC buildings. In the design and assessment of buildings, the infill walls are usually treated as non-structural elements and they are ignored in analytical models because they are assumed to be beneficial to the structural responses. Therefore, their influences on the structural response are ignored. In the case of buildings constructed in the USA in highly seismic regions, infill walls have a lower strength and stiffness than the boundary frames or they are separated from the boundary frames. Thus, the previously mentioned assumptions may be reasonable. However, these systems are not usually employed in most other countries. Therefore, the differences in the seismic behaviors of RC buildings with/without masonry infill walls, which are ignored in structural design, need to be investigated. In this study, structural analyses were performed for a masonry infilled low-rise RC moment-resisting frame. The infill walls were modeled as equivalent diagonal struts. The seismic behaviors of the RC moment-resisting frame with/without masonry infill walls were evaluated. From the analytical results, masonry infill walls can increase the global strength and stiffness of a structure. Consequently, the interstory drift ratio will decrease but seismic forces applied to the structure will increase more than the design seismic load because the natural period of the structure decreases. Partial damage of the infill walls by the floor causes vertical irregularity of the strength and stiffness.
This study aims to document the conservation treatment of the fine-hemp official headgear housed by the National Museum of Korea, and to reconsider its existing name following the restoration of the original form of the damaged cultural heritage asset. The headgear consists of a single inner frame with a vertical line at the front, a single outer frame surrounding the inner frame, and a double-layered headband that spans the circumference of the wearer's head and joins the inner and the outer frames. This study applied a conservation treatment to the men's undyed hemp headgear of the Joseon Dynasty in order to remove contaminants and foreign substances on the surface and repair the partially deteriorated and damaged fabric, thereby restoring and stabilizing the original shape and preparing it for exhibitions. The hemp headgear was sewed both by hand and with a sewing machine. Although its overall composition and style are similar to the same type of official headgear from the Joseon Dynasty, the use of a sewing machine supports the assumption that it was produced in the early 1900s. This study identified similarities between the overall composition and shape of the fully-preserved hemp official headgear and those of the jangbogwan, a type of men's official headgear worn by Confucian scholars as part of their everyday attire, and compared it with the shape of jangbogwan seen in documentary records, illustrations, prior research, and portraits from the Joseon Dynasty, as well as with the characteristics of extant jangbowan artifacts, eventually concluding that it is appropriate to classify and name the headgear as a jangbogwan.
Lattice steel towers for overhead transmission lines have been replaced by tubular steel poles due to the visual impact of large and complex shape of truss type. Demand for tubular steel poles consisting of a single frame member continues to grow because of its advantages such as visual minimization, architectural appeal and minimal site consumptions. However, there are some constraints on the transportation and construction. As the diameter of tower base has been enlarged, it may exceed minimum height limit required to pass the tunnel in case of land transportation. Also, in a narrow place where it is not easy to secure the installation areas such as mountainous places, there might be some areas wherein it must secure a wide working space so that large vehicles and working cranes will be allowed to enter. In this paper, we presented a vertical separated tubular steel pole, which is a new type of support that can be implemented for general purpose such as mountainous areas or narrow areas to improve the issues raised by breaking away from the conventional design and fabrication methods. Technical approaches for overcoming the limit of the cross-sectional size is to separate and modularize the cross-section of the tubular steel pole designed with a size that cannot be carried or assembled, and to lighten it with a weight capable of being transported and assembled in a narrow space or mountainous area. As a result of this research, it will be possible to enter small and medium sized vehicles in locations where it is restricted to transport by large-sized vehicles. In the case of mountainous areas, it will be possible to divide it into a weight capable of being carried by a helicopter and it will be easy to adjust and fabricate it with individual modules. Furthermore, in order to break away from the traditional construction method, we proposed the equipment that can be applied to the assembly of Tubular Steel Pole without using a large crane in locations where there is no accessible road or in locations wherein large cranes cannot enter. In particular, this paper shows the movable assembling equipment and some methods that are specialized for vertical separated tubular steel pole consisting of members with reduced weight. The proposed assembly equipment is a device for assembling the body of the Tubular Steel Poles. It will be installed inside the support and the modules can be lifted by using the support itself.

Additionally, horizontal and vertical arrangements of semi-rigid connections were used for the models. A fiber model was utilized for the moment-curvature relationship of a steel beam and a column, a three-parameter power model for the moment-rotation angle of the semi-rigid connection, and a three-parameter model for the hysteretic behavior of a steel beam, column, and connection. The base-shear force, top displacement, story drift, required ductility for the connection, maximum bending moment of the column, beam, and connection, and distribution of the plastic hinge were investigated using four earthquake excitations with peak ground acceleration for a mean return period of 2,400 years and for the maximum base-shear force in the pushover analysis of a 5% story drift. The maximum base-shear force and story drift decreased with the outer vertical distribution of the semi-rigid connection, and the required ductility for the connection decreased with the higher horizontal distribution of the semi-rigid connection. The location of the maximum story drift differed in the pushover analysis and the time history analysis, and the magnitude was overestimated in the pushover analysis. The outer vertical distribution of the semi-rigid connection was recommended for the base-shear force, story drift, and required ductility for the connection.

This study was based on the steel composite concrete box structure (Transfer girder) which was installed to support the skyscrapers directly above the subway line. In this study, it was analytically proved that the cause of cracks on the steel composite concrete box structure were the shrinkage cracks by comparing the results of crack investigation and numerical analysis. As the results, it was found that the internal temperature difference between concrete and steel members occurred according to the shape of the steel frame embedded in concrete, the location of vertical stiffener, and the closed section area. The narrower spacing of vertical stiffener was occurred the internal temperature concentration of the structure and the temperature difference increased. And the location of higher thermal strain and temperature were similar to the location of actual cracks by the visual inspection. Therefore, the internal temperature concentration parts were formed according to the presence and spacing of the vertical stiffeners and the inspection passage in the central part of the structure. The shrinkage cracks were occurred by the restrained of temperature expansion and contraction of the concrete. As the results of this study, it was important to separate and manage the non-structural cracks caused by shrinkage and the structural cracks in the maintenance of serviced steel-composite concrete structures.

This study is about the development and creation of the public installation to enhance the contact chances with plants for the city dwellers who are living in the environment of limited green space. The researcher tried to create a floral art work at an island type bus stop on the central bus only lane, where the passers-by can enjoy the contact with plants for a second on that crowded space. The researcher made the study of various related cased world-widely and existing island type bus stop on the central bus only lane. The researcher also made pre-creation study of applicable forms and elements, and developed the prototype of the installation on the base of that study. Therefore the researcher created 1 installable screen type floral art work offering abundant contact experience to the viewers which has multiple shelves in the vertical frame to fit and be substituted by the designated wall unit of the island type bus stop structure. Also the researcher developed the prototypes of 2 small interior pieces. The meaning of this study can be found in the contribution of increasing visual experiencing rate of green space and chances of experiencing plants to create positive psychological, emotional effects by developing floral art works to be installed at crowded urban public space.
In order to investigate the vortex body frame interaction around the side mirror of a passenger car, velocity vector fields in the wake, pressure distributions and boundary layer flows over both the mirror surface and the mirror housing, have been measured by several experimental tools. It was resulted that only within an half downstream distance of the mirror span there appears the recirculation zone, and also found that vortex trail towards to the driver side window between A and B pillars, making the acoustic noise and vibration. Wake vortex rolls up after this recirculating zone and makes the trail of the vortex center towards the driver side window, which was also confirmed by measurements of wake velocity vectors in the vertical sections of the trail and visualization over the side mirror surfaces as well. It was also observed that total pressure distribution over the mirror surface has the minimum peak near the lower tip region which can be considered as the origin of the vortex center. It can be concluded that the geometrical modification of the lower tip and the upper root area of the mirror housing is the key to control the wake vortex.
