The purpose of this study is to examine and to evaluate the properties of pile materials to produce velvet fabrics which have excellent handle. In order to perform this purpose, the mechanical properties, hand value (H.V.), total hand value (T.H.V.), total appearance value (T.A.V.) of acetate, cuprammonium rayon, cotton materials for velvet as the typical commercial Pile fabric were measured and analyzed by KES-F system. The important results obtained by this study are as follows. 1 For acetate pile, elogational deformation was easy and bending rigidity of weft was high and elastic recovery was excellent compared with the other materials. 2. Cuprammonium rayon velvet was shown that pile bending rigidity and hysterisis were low. Cotton velvet was shown that compressional energy was high and compressinal elasticity was exellent. 3. In the case that specimens were applied by men's winter suit program, H.V was shown that Koshi of acetate velvet was similar to that of cotton. Numeri of cuprammonium rayon velvet was higher than the others and Fukurami values for all of the three fabrics were similar. 4. But in case that specimens were applied by women's winter suit program Koshi of cuprammonium rayon velvet was lower. But Numeri of that was higher than the others and Fukurami for all of the three fabrics were similar and Sofutosa of cotton velvet was lower than the others. T.H.V. of the acetate velvet was the highest in men's winter suit program while cuprammonium rayon velvet was the highest in women's winter suit program T.A.V. of acetate velvet was highest.

사상성 진균인 Aspergillus spp.은 환경 속에서 흔히 찾을 수 있는 진균으로 인류에 유익한 역할을 주기도 하지만 병원성을 일으키기도 한다. 대부분의 Aspergillus spp.는 무성 포자를 생성하여 번식을 하며 다양한 이차 대사 산물을 합성한다. 여러 연구에 따르면 Velvet 조절자들은 진균 특이적 전사 인자로 모델 진균인 Aspergillus nidulans의 성장, 분화 및 이차 대사산물 생성 등 다양한 부분에서 중요한 역할을 한다고 보고되었다. 또한 Velvet 단백질들은 다양한 복합체를 형성하며, 이 복합체들은 Aspergillus nidulans에서 다양한 역할을 한다. 다른 Aspergillus spp.에서 Velvet 단백질들은 매우 유사한 구조를 가지며 진균의 무성 생식과 이차 대사를 조절한다. 이번 논문에는 Aspergillus spp.의 Velvet 단백질들의 기능에 대하여 요약하였다.

This study is on the fashion design of velve, concentrating on the kinds and the images of it. The velvet, the pile fabrics, includes velveteen, velour(s), corduroy and plush. Ancient Chinese invented it first but Westerners used it widely in fashion since 14C because of the deep colors and the glimmering lights. In 20C the developments of textile industry, the mass production and the dyeing techniques made it popularized as velvet fashion. The velvet must be handled carefully and stretch velvet in vogue today needs the different pattern design and the dressmaking from general fabrics. 'For example, 55 size (bust girth 33", waist girth 26", hip girth 36") Jacket for ladies of stretch velvet, 3/4"ease in the bust line is eliminated at the back on the block pattern after normal pattern design. The costume of velvet has the images of elegance, nostalgia, and oriental ism. It has established the high quality, rich and refined elegance of Haute Couture. It could express the image of nostalgia, the longing for the past with the remarkable splendor. The orientalism of velvet costumes has represented the westerner's aspiration and imagination about the Orient with the intense color and over-decoration.

Dyeing and fastness properties of direct spun type PET microfiber velvet woven fabric have been compared with those of regular PET velvet woven fabric. They showed different exhaustion and rate of dye uptake. The build-up properties of disperse dyes on direct spun type PET microfiber velvet woven fabric were relatively poor than regular PET velvet woven fabric. The wash fastness properties of disperse dyes on regular PET velvet woven fabric were similar to direct spun type PET microfiber velvet woven fabric.

This study was performed to investigate the blood contents of velvet antler and femoral venous blood in farmed elk (Cervus canadensis). Blood samples were collected from 12 young adult elk (3.5-4.5 years old) with a mixture of fentanyl-azaperone-xylazine (Fentazine$^{(R)}$). Values for hematological and clinicochemical components of the clinical healthy elk were determined. The results were grouped for comparison according to velvet antler and femoral venous blood. Lower mean platelet counts and fibrinogen values were found in the velvet antler than femoral venous blood (p<0.01). White blood cell count of velvet antler was significantly higher than that of femoral venous blood 0<0.05). The clinicochemical parameters (total protein, albumin, globulin, alanine aminotransferase, aspartate aminotransferasei blood urea nitrogens calciums magnesium and phosphonls) obtained in this study far farmed elk are consistent with the values between velvet antler and femoral venous blood.

Velvet fabric has soft touch, subtle luster, and good draping property. Threedimensional simulated models of cylindrical monofilaments constituting the velvet fabric were prepared. Image analysis techniques were used to measure the reflected light from the surface of velvet fabrics and the simulated images of the pile fibers. As the angle of incidence increased, the reflectance from the velvet surface became lower. Most of the reflection came from the tips of the cut piles. Crushed velvet type also was modeled using slant cylinder models on top of a base plate.

Objective : Kyenegum has been frequently used for characterizing digestive symptoms in the traditional and oriental medicines. This study was conducted to investigate the characteristics of extracts from velvet antlers using the 4 different kinds of extracting methods. Methods : The extracts of velvet antlers were extracted using a $65^{\circ}C$ DW (9hrs), a Kyenegum crude enzyme, a $121^{\circ}C$ DW (2hrs), and a Kyenegum protease. To evaluate the characteristic of velvet antler extracts, we examined the brix, soluble solid, amino acid, mineral composition, and collagen protein. Results : As a result of the comparisons of velvet antlers extracted by the traditional extraction and the crude enzyme of kyenegum, the brix and soluble solid showed the higher contents for kyenegum enzymes. Also, mineral contents of the extracted velvet antlers were higher, particularly in Ca and P for those. The contents of collagen protein, hydroxyproline and hydroxylysine, were found to be more than twice in kyenegum protease compared with other extracting methods. Conclusion : These results indicated that the Kyenegum crude enzyme and protease are very effective to extract of velvet antlers.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the preference and the sensibility for velvet, suede, and corduroy fabrics of the university students. A questionnaire survey was conducted on 153 female students in the Cheongju area, Korea. Frequency, F-test and factor analysis were used for data analysis. Female students preferred velvet and suede fabrics, but they did not prefer corduroy fabrics. They evaluated that velvet fabrics express varied sensibility. They considered that velvet fabrics have a more sexy and chic image than those of corduroy.

This study aimed to explore the fashion design and style features, and differences in BLACKPINK, TWICE, and Red Velvet girl groups. A total of 469 fashion photos (132 BLACKPINK, 217 TWICE, 120 Red Velvet) focusing on 23 title songs (7 BLACKPINK, 9 TWICE, 7 Red Velvet) were collected. Photo classification work was carried out in accordance with the design analysis criteria and the results were derived by combining statistical analysis and content analysis. BLACKPINK's fashion design characteristics showed a lot of complex colors, shade tone, pure tone, contrast color coordination, stylistic pattern, slit, patchwork, checklist method, sexy and avant-garde images. TWICE's fashion design characteristics included warm color, complex color, tint tone, monotone, contrast color coordination, tone-on-tone, geometric & stylistic patterns, cotton, silk, a combination of the same material, frill, beads, ribbon decoration, blouse, skirt, and many romantic and ethnic images. Red Velvet's fashion design characteristics were a cold color, moderate tone, monotone, cotton, velvet, geometric pattern, zipper, sequins, T-shirt, pants, tie, belt, and many retro and active images. The fashion styles of BLACKPINK, TWICE, and Red Velvet were as follows. BLACKPINK was divided into sexy avant-garde, sexy active, sexy romantic styles. TWICE was divided into romantic active, romantic classical, and romantic ethnic styles. Red Velvet was divided into retro active, retro sexy, and retro avant-garde styles.

The burn-out technique is used to result in the velvet cloth being patterned in open and solid areas by carbonize the cellulose fiber. It is examined how to burn out the cellulose part of the velvet without damage of the other part. The print paste indalca solution is mixed with sodium hydrogensulfate and lycerine and then screen-printed on the back side of the velvet. The effects of process conditions such as concentration of sodium hydrogensulfate dry heat fixation temperature and time pull no. and glycerine contents on the properties of ground farics were investigated. The yellowness index and the breaking load of silk ground fabrics afected by the process conditions especially concentration of sodium hydrogensulfate dry heat fixation temperature.
