Design of Robust TDOF Controller of Induction Motor for Variation of Rotor Resistance (회전자 저항 변동에 강인한 유도전동기 2-자유도 제어기 설계)

  • This paper consists of the vector control of three phase induction motors which has robustness against disturbances and parameter variations by the TDOF (Two Degree Of Freedom) theory. Using the TDOF theory, induction motor is robustly controlled for resistance variations and disturbances. Adaptive observer is used for the purpose of estimating the stator fluxes, the stator currents, and the parameters. The proposed control netted is verified by computer simulations.

  • Papert [17] introduced the LOGO environment in which we make a curve using LOGO commands (FORWARD, ROTATE). We call this geometry as turtle geometry. This environment has influenced many researchers and designers of computers and mathematics education. But the curve that we can make using LOGO command is elementary or too difficult. Polygon and circle is elementary and making other curves is difficult. In this paper, we introduce the method of drawing some other curves mediating new command. First, we study epicycloid and hypocycloid in the historical and the physical context. And we introduce the method of making epicycloid and hypocycloid using vector addition. Next we study the polygon patterns of this curve. Finally, we extend the method for making more general curve and we improve the computer environment using this metaphor.

  • Quadratic B$\acute{e}$zier curves are important geometric entities in many applications. However, it was often ignored by the literature the fact that a single segment of a quadratic B$\acute{e}$zier curve may fail to fit arbitrary endpoint unit tangent vectors. The purpose of this paper is to provide a solution to this problem, i.e., constructing $G^1$ quadratic B$\acute{e}$zier curves satisfying given endpoint (positions and arbitrary unit tangent vectors) conditions. Examples are given to illustrate the new solution and to perform comparison between the $G^1$ quadratic B$\acute{e}$zier cures and other curve schemes such as the composite geometric Hermite curves and the biarcs.

RISKY MODULE PREDICTION FOR NUCLEAR I&C SOFTWARE

  • As software based digital I&C (Instrumentation and Control) systems are used more prevalently in nuclear plants, enhancement of software dependability has become an important issue in the area of nuclear I&C systems. Critical attributes of software dependability are safety and reliability. These attributes are tightly related to software failures caused by faults. Software testing and V&V (Verification and Validation) activities are hence important for enhancing software dependability. If the risky modules of safety-critical software can be predicted, it will be possible to focus on testing and V&V activities more efficiently and effectively. It should also make it possible to better allocate resources for regulation activities. We propose a prediction technique to estimate risky software modules by adopting machine learning models based on software complexity metrics. An empirical study with various machine learning algorithms was executed for comparing the prediction performance. Experimental results show SVMs (Support Vector Machines) perform as well or better than the other methods.

  • 지지 벡터 기계(Support Vector Machine: SVM)를 이용한 다중부류 분류기법이 최근 활발히 연구되고 있다. SVM은 이진분류기이기 때문에 다중부류 분류를 위해서 다수의 분류기를 구성하고 이들을 효과적으로 결합하는 방법이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 정적인 다중분류기 결합 방법과는 달리 포섭구조의 분류모델을 확률에 따라 동적으로 구성하는 방법을 제안한다. 확률적 분류기인 나이브 베이즈 분류기(NB)를 이용하여 입력된 샘플의 각 클래스에 대한 확률을 계산하고, OVA (One-Vs-All) 전략으로 구축된 다중의 SVM을 획득된 확률에 따라 포섭구조로 구성한다. 제안하는 방법은 OVA SVM에서 발생하는 중의적인 상황을 효과적으로 처리하여 고성능의 분류를 수행한다. 본 논문에서는 지문분류 문제에서 대표적인 NIST-4 지문 데이터베이스를 대상으로 제안하는 방법을 적용하여 $1.8\%$의 거부율에서 $90.8\%$의 분류율을 획득하였으며, 기존의 결합 방법인 다수결 투표(Majority vote), 승자독식(Winner-takes-all), 행동지식공간 (Behavior knowledge space), 결정템플릿(Decision template) 등보다 높은 성능을 확인하였다.

  • We have developed a software package for the analysis of electric field distribution in human body. It includes the graphical finite element mesh generator, linear system of equations solver using sparse matrix and vector technique, and post-processor for the display of the results. This software package can be used in various research areas of biomedical engineering where we inject current or apply voltage to human body. The software package was developed on Macintosh II computer and the size of the model is only limited by the main memory.

  • We have done a preliminary study on the detection of ventricular late potentials using high-resolution electrocardiography. We designed a battery powered low-noise ECG amplifier. We used the XYZ lead system and the amplifier provides 3 channels of X, Y, and Z signals with a conventional gain and another 3 channels of the amplitude-limited X, Y, and Z signals with high-gain. 12-bit data acquisition system interfaces the amplifiers to a personal computer for further signal analysis. Beat alignment algorithm was implemented on the low-gain signals to synchronize the signal averaging of the high-gain amplitude-limited signals. We suggest the use of the weighted vector sum of X', Y', and Z' signals based on the SNR of each channel. We speculate that this new method will increase the accuracy of the LP detector at the expense of more complicated hardware.

  • 최근 기계학습에 대한 관심이 높아지면서 금융 분야에서는 인공지능을 이용하여 투자 포트폴리오를 제안하는 로보어드바이저(robo-advisor)를 출시하고 있다. 이는 고객에게 저렴한 수수료를 제공하며 높은 접근성, 인건비의 절감 등의 장점으로 이를 도입하여 다양한 상품을 개발하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 머신러닝 알고리즘인 SVM(support vector machine)과 kNN(k-nearest neighbor)을 활용하여 매월 12개월 이전의 KOSPI 지수 데이터를 학습시킨 후 예측하는 투자 시스템을 구현하였다. 실험결과 SVM이 2.90413배의 성적으로 가장 우수했으며 수익률은 Precision(예측정확도)와 비례함을 보였다. 또한 수익곡선은 추세에 따라 유사한 형태를 보인 성과를 도출하였다.

  • This paper proposes the Train Control System for the LRT(light rail transit). With regard to information processing in car, we build a computer network in the car, turned the hardware required for train control into software, and developed the Train Control Monitoring System(TCMS) and ATC. Drive Type of Train control system car can drive with Driverless mode basically, and this paper applied 10Mbps special communication type for car control, data analysis, The propulsion efforts and breaking effort can control the cars. It is used Vector Control in Propulsion control and proposed Operating pattern for Propulsion control thinking Operating data of Rubber Tire LRT.

  • Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) is one of the important wireless communication technologies. This paper proposes MIMO system capacity enhancement by using convolution of periodic circulating vector signals. This signal represents statistical dependencies between transmission signal with discrete noise and receiver signal with the linear shifting of MIMO channel capacity by positive extents. We examine the channel capacity, outage probability and SNR of MIMO receiver by adding log determinant signal with validated in terms of numerical simulation.
