  • Green belts can help to set boundary for city growth, provide ecological protection system and enhance the resilience of Beijing. During the implementation period of the current overall city planning of Beijing, the proportion of green space varies much among the sub-districts, villages and towns involved in the two green belts in the research. With this as starting point, by researching the correlations of 'city system factors' and 'planning policy factors' with the change in the scale of green space, the paper discussed the influential factors of implementing the planning of green space of Beijing, and conducted quantitative research, with such possible influential factors classified into 'city system factors' and 'planning policy factors'. Through multiple linear regression model, the paper tested the correlations of city system factors and planning policy factors (independent variable) with the increment in the construction land in green belts (dependent variable). Through influence to population aggregation and the expansion force of construction land, city system factors such as mountain land and water, house rent of unit area, accessibility of public transport and the newly-defined state-owned construction land generate correlation with the change in the scale of construction land in green belts.

  • The formal specification methods with probability have been demanded in the area of fault real-time systems, in order to specify the uncertainty that the systems can encounter during their execution due to various environmental factors. This paper presents a new formal method with probability. namely Probabilistic Abstract Timed Machine (PATM), in order to analyze and predict system's behavior in dynamical environmental changes, This method classifies the factors into two classes: the variable and the constant. The analysis of system's behavior is performed on the probabilistic reachability graph generated from the ATM specification for the system. The analysis can predict any possibility that the behavior may not satisfy some safety requirements of the system, indicate which variable factors cause such satisfaction, and further recover from this unsatisfying fault state by fixing the variable factors. Consequently the reliability to the fault real-time systems can be improved.

  • Various studies have been conducted on factors influencing the adoption of new technologies. In particular, the factors influencing customers' acceptance of new technologies that emerged along with the arrival of the 4th Industrial Revolution. Theoretical models are mainly based on the technology acceptance model (TAM) or Extended Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology : UTAUT2). However, there are no trust variables in these models. In this study, we added trust variable and tested augmented reality(AR). Three types - trust as an independent variable, as a mediating variable, and as a moderating variable - were analyzed statistically. As a result, trust was most explanatory when viewed as a mediating variable between independent variables and intention to use. In theory, it has been shown that trust acts as a mediating effect. In practice, trust is most important in accepting new technologies, so it is important to prioritize trust.

  • The purpose of this study was to define the degree of the resourcefulness and the health-promoting behavior of cancer patients, to identify the relationship between the resourcefulness and the health promoting behaviors and to provide the basis for strategic nursing intervention. This study was conducted by an exploratory survey. Data were collected by self-reported questionnaires from 97 cancer patients in a university hospital in Tae-Gu from September to December of 1998. The sample data were collected by using a convenient sampling method. The following instruments were used in the study after some adaptation : Park Chai Soon's Health Promoting Lifestyle Profile, Oh Pok Ja's instrument for health promotion behavior and the Rosenbaum self-control schedule(SCS). The reliability of instruments was tested with Chronbach'alph(.79-.89). Data was analyzed by using the SAS program. T-test, ANOVA, and Pearson's coefficients of correlation. The results of this study were as follows: First, the average score of the resourcefulness variable was 22.20; the range of the score was from -30 to +81 The average score of the performance in the health promoting behavior variable was 96.13; the range of the score was from 39 to 137 Second, the resourcefulness variable was significantly different from such demographic factors as gender and perceived health status, but there was no statistically significant difference between the demographic factors and the health promoting behavior variable, except that of perceived health status. Third, the performance in health promoting behavior of cancer patients was significantly correlated with the resourcefulness of cancer patients(r= .50) In conclusion, resourcefulness was identified to be an important variable that could contribute to promote health-promoting behavior.

  • The aim of this study was to determine principal non-acoustical factors for noise annoyance in the vicinity of Kimpo Airport in Seoul, Korea. Noise annoyance was estimated using self-reported annoyance scale. We have conducted a social survey aiming to identify the main sound sources, evaluate the annoyance and analyse the main effects of noise on people. Acoustical and non-acoustical variables are expected to greatly affect annoyance responses. This study divided acoustical variables into aircraft, road traffic and neighboring noises, and non-acoustical variables into demographic, situational and attitudinal variables. The study performed multiple regression analysis to determine the influences each variable has on annoyance responses. Acoustical variables affect noise annoyance to aircraft and neighboring noise except road traffic noise. For road traffic and neighboring noise annoyance was affected by non-acoustical variable, insulation by housing type. For aircraft noise, main noise source of this area, annoyance was affected by acoustical variable and some non-acoustical variables, mainly exposure time.

  • The purpose of this paper is to examine the impact of production factors on economic growth in China during 1979~2008. In order to grasp the determinant and contribution analysis, we take fixed effect model and random effect model and Hausman test to choice model. The results show that the finance variable (rsav) and SOC variable (rsoc) have negative effects on the economic growth in the long run except some models. But unimproved raw labor variable (rlab), physical capital variable (rcap) and education variable (redu) shows strongly positive effect for the same time. We found the meaning of coefficients of growth factors. relative contribution of each input to per-capita growth in China. The direct elative contribution of physical investment to per-capita growth gives 35.9 percent in total model (TMO) and unimproved raw labor contributes only 4.7 percent. In all modes, physical investment (rcap) was the most important contributor of predicted growth in China economy.

  • This study was carried out to develop continuously variable-speed transmission(CVT) fur an agricultural tractor. The full-toroidal variator mechanism with flour discs and six rollers was utilized as a device fur changing speed ratio continuously. In system layout design, the sizes of the roller cylinders and the end-load cylinder, which were critical factors for controlling the variator, were designed. The planetary gear unit and six pairs of the gear assemblies were designed to establish the maximum speed of the vehicle at 30 ㎞/hr. In addition, the hydraulic clutch, the silent chain, the hydraulic manifold and the electronic controller were designed. Based on the design, a prototype CVT was developed and tested. Test results show that the CVT developed in this study could successfully provide variable speed of the tractor.

  • Accuracy and processing time are very important factors when the desired shape is fabricated with Selective Laser Sintering (SLS), one of Solid Freeform Fabrication (SFF) systems. In a conventional SLS process, laser spot size is fixed during laser exposing on the sliced figure. Therefore, it is difficult to accurately and rapidly fabricate the desired shape. In this paper, to deal with those problems an SFF system having ability of changing spot size is developed. The system provides high accuracy and optimal processing time. Specifically, a variable beam expander is employed to adjust spot size for different figures on a sliced shape. Finally, Design and performance estimation of the SFF system employing a variable beam expander are achieved and the mechanism will be addressed to measure the real spot size generated from the variable beam expander.

  • The pressure ripple in the delivery port is caused by flow ripple, which is induced by variation of pumping chamber volume. The other reason is the reverse flow from the outlet volume produced by pressure difference between pumping chamber and outlet volume, when the pumping chamber is connected with the outlet volume. In this study, a mathematical model is presented for analyzing discharge pressure ripple, which includes vane detachment, cam ring movement , and fluid inertia effects in V-groove in the side plate. From the analysis and experiment, it was found that V-groove on the side plate, coefficient of spring supporting the cam ring, and average discharge pressure are the main factors of discharge pressure ripple in variable displacement vane pump. The theoretical results, provided in this study, were well agreed with experimental results. The analytical model to estimate the magnitude of pressure ripple in this study is expected to be used f3r the optimal design of the variable displacement vane pump.
