MHP-based SCORM Contents Trans-Coding System for DiTV Service (DiTV 서비스를 위한 MHP 기반의 SCORM 콘텐츠 트랜스코딩 시스템)

  • Recently, digital convergence, whose core demand is OSMU (One Sourse Multi Use),has been the main topic in e-learning domain and industry. However, the existing web learning content and the new resource developed toprovide contents to different learning environment must be processed to adapt the new learning settings, which causes the cost and time problem, So in this paper we design and implement a Java based SCORM content transcoding system which can transcode the SCORM-based learning content into MHP-based DiTV content in order to adapt t-learning environment using DiTV, which is closer to our real life. Using this system which has ability of inter-operation, reuse, highly-use, the problem mentioned above can be solved well. Moreover, it is possible for a learner who is not familiar with computer to study using DiTV instead of PC.

Methods to Use AI Programing in Environmental Education for Elementary School Curriculum (초등 환경교육에서 인공지능 프로그래밍 활용 방법)

  • Although environmental education has been more important due to global extreme weather and natural desasters, environmental topics are covered by several other subjects because it is not an independent subject in elementary school and they need to distribute more class hours to cover proper amount of environmental content. This study is performed to develop method to integrate environmental education and software education in elementary school. This method helps students to learn topics about recycling by using Artificial Intelligence programming and Artificial Intelligence also helps students to practice recycling in virtual reality. A new teaching and learning module(Problem Recognition→Machine Learning↔Use of AI→Collaboration) is adopted for the learning procedure and more than 80 % of the students replied positively to the survey about the interest on integrated learning, understanding of environmental education, understanding of Artificial Intelligence, further learning on Artificial Intelligence programming.

A Study on Design of Elementary Schoolhouse for Mixed-use Facilities (초등학교 교사의 복합용도계획에 관한 연구)

  • This study is conducted to formulate various spatial compositions for mixed-use elementary schools in order to use them as community centers. Accordingly, this study is conducted to analyze currently operating community-use elementary schools to find out about the current condition of mixed-use facilities, and the types of mixed-use facilities will be derived from the analysis. In addition, a more effective method of planning mixed-use elementary schools is investigated. By incorporating various educational curricula and teaching/learning activities, major points, which should be considered when planning elementary schools, will be suggested to effectively respond to the changes of educational environment in the future. The results show that in terms of inner traffic flow type, 9 schools out of the schools under study showed a unificated traffic flow type or a cross traffic flow type. When traffic overlaps, problems of noise, visual distraction, and decreased learning performance can appear. To prevent the conflict between areas and to manage areas effectively, each area should be differentiated by installing doors and shutters and by marking guides, and the facility used for community residents and students should also be scheduled separately to avoid time conflict. In addition, to accommodate the changes of users, flexible space planning options should be considered.

  • To improve the e-learning education quality in VietHanIT College (Vietnam-Korea Friendship Information Technology College), e-learning acceptance was evaluated based on the well-known Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). Quantitative data of the questionnaire survey were gathered from 158 lecturers and staffs of VietHanIT College and analyzed by using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). While designing the questionnaire various previous studies were considered and hypotheses and models of the study were set up accordingly. As the results, success model of e-learning system was built up and important factors were identified. And most of lectures and staffs in VietHanIT College were aware of the benefits of e-learning system and they were ready to apply e-learning method for their training and teaching.

Awareness of health science students' use of virtual reality devices for learning (일부 보건계열 학생들의 VR 학습매체 활용 인식에 대한 연구)

  • Background: This study was aimed at surveying the health science students' interest, demand, and awareness of virtual reality (VR) devices for learning to accumulate data necessary to develop and implement a curriculum with VR devices. Methods: We investigated the perception of health science students regarding VR device application and utilization. Statistical analyses were performed using SPSS 25.0 (IBM SPSS Statistics). Frequency and descriptive analyses were performed for the perception level of VR device use for university education. An independent twosamples t-test was performed to statistically analyze the perception level according to the VR device experience. A p-value < 0.05 was set to indicate statistical significance. Results: To the question "Do you wish to use VR devices for educational purposes?," 73% of the participants answered "yes." To the question "Do you think VR is necessary for the course curriculum?," over 65% answered "yes." Conclusion: In this study, health science students reported a great need for VR devices for education. VR-based classroom curriculum is expected to improve students' concentration, interest, and motivation.

A Learning Rate Model of Deep Learning for Classification Analysis of Problematic Smartphone Use (스마트폰 과의존 분류 분석을 위한 딥러닝 학습률 모델)

  • 본 연구는 한국지능정보사회진흥원에서 제공한 2018년 스마트폰 과의존 실태조사에서 사용된 11개 변수와 스마트폰 과의존과의 관계를 탐색하고, 이를 통해 딥러닝 기반 스마트폰 과의존 분류 분석 모델을 개발하고자 시행되었다. 학습데이터셋은 전국 10,000개 가구내 만 3-69세 스마트폰 이용자 25,465명의 스마트폰 이용 형태 및 개인적 특성에 관한 데이터이다. 딥러닝은 심층신경망(DNN)을 설계하였으며, 은닉층(hidden layer)은 4개층으로 구성하였다. 입력한 데이터는 각각 200개, 150개, 100개, 50개, 2개 노드를 거치면서 최종 출력 정보인 스마트폰 과의존 분류율로 나타나는 모델이다. 이때 스마트폰 과의존 분류률을 높이기 위해 학습률(learning rate)과 같은 하이퍼 파라미터를 활용하여 세부조정하면서 가장 잘 학습하는 값을 찾아내었다. 연구결과, 학습횟수가 300번으로 학습율(learning.rate)이 0.01일때 훈련데이터에서 97.43%, 검증데이터에서 98.06%로 가장 높게 나타났다.

A Study on Factors Affecting Learning Satisfaction and Continuous Use Intention in Non-face-to-face Classes based on Metaverse Platform Gather.Town (메타버스 플랫폼 게더타운 기반 비대면수업의 학습만족도와 지속이용의도에 미치는 요인 연구)

  • This study aims to determine the factors that affect learning satisfaction and continuous use intention in metaverse-based non-face-to-face classes. Therefore, a hypothesis was established based on the technology acceptance model and information system success model, and a survey was conducted from November 22, 2021 to January 03, 2022 for students who had class experience using Gather.town-a metaverse platform. PLS Structural Equation was conducted on 122 copies, excluding the questionnaires with insincere responses. The results reveal that "all platform quality" factors influenced "easiness," "content quality" influenced "usefulness," "easiness" influenced "usefulness," "easiness" and "usefulness" influenced "learning satisfaction," "usefulness" and "learning satisfaction" had a positive effect on "continuous use intention." This study is significant because it empirically analyzes the variables that affect learning satisfaction and continuous use intention in metaverse-based non-face-to-face classes. In follow-up studies, additional research is required on the variables that affect learning satisfaction and continuous use intention targeting various metaverse-based platforms, including Gather.town.

  • The 7th National Curriculum Guidelines strongly suggest the use of ICT for schools, and one of the best way to integrate ICT could be the implementation of Integrated Learning Systems (ILS). ILS is known to be a comprehensive system for learning that offer variety of multimedia contents and activities, textbooks, and networked systems. It is a comprehensive package for instruction and loaming tailored to fit specific curriculum. Thus, ILS is well-integrated and well-suited to individual learners' interest or capabilities. The school teachers who would have to use ICT in their courses required by the 7th National Curriculum Guidelines, ILS could be an innovative tool to be effective not only in teaching but also in using ICT. However, effective use and development of ILS, in Korea, should be supported by the educational decision makers and policies to fit Korean school curriculum. Thus, in this paper, we have studies to look at examplary ILS and a couple of cases to consider ILS for possible adoption in Korea.

  • As new car technology is developing, temporal interaction is needed in automotive. Rhythmic pattern is one of the practical examples of temporal interaction in vehicle. To recognize rhythmic pattern and its input medium, dictionary learning is applicable algorithm. In this paper, performance and memory requirement of the learning algorithm is tested and is sufficiently good for use this acoustic sound.

A Learning Algorithm of Fuzzy Neural Networks with Trapezoidal Fuzzy Weights

  • In this paper, we propose a learning algorithm of fuzzy neural networks with trapezoidal fuzzy weights. This fuzzy neural networks can use fuzzy numbers as well as real numbers, and represent linguistic information better than standard neural networks. We construct trapezodal fuzzy weights by the composition of two triangles, and devise a learning algorithm using the two triangular membership functions, The results of computer simulations on numerical data show that the fuzzy neural networks have high fitting ability for target output.
