Study on the Cultivation Methods of Transplanting the Turf Seedlings II. Effects of turf grass growth to the selected soils in seedling bed

  • This experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of turf grass growth to seedling rates and bed soil types. The results of this experiment were summarized as follows; the more increasing the seedling rates, the plant height and leaf length were longer, but the number of leaf and number of branch were fewer. Incase of transplanting of turf grass seedling by rice transplanting machine, it might be considered that the proper alternative bed soil was sandy loam soil with regarding to the economic aspects. The maximum seedling rate of turf grass in the seedling tray for rice was 1,000 of seedling amount due to the nutrient competition with intensive seedling. As the results indicated, it might be recommended that the proper alternative bed soil was sandy loam soil with 1,000 of seedling rates in case of transplanting of turf grass seedling by rice transplanting machine.

잘피(Zostera marina)서식지 복원을 위한 최적 이식방법 및 시기 선정에 관한 연구 (Selection of the Optimal Transplanting Method and Time for Restoration of Zostera marina Habitats)

  • Seagrass bed is an important component in coastal and estuarine ecosystems, providing food and shelter to a wide variety of fauna. Recently, seagrass coverage has declined significantly due to anthropogenic influences such as reclamation, dredging, and eutrophication and consequently, necessity of seagrass habitat restoration is rising. Transplantation experiments with Zostera marina using TERFS, staple method, and shell method have been conducted at Dadae Bay, Kosung Bay and Jindong Bay on the south coast of Korea to select an optimal transplanting method for restoration of Z. marina habitat. Three experimental sites located at the vicinity of natural Z. marina beds with an average water depth of about 4m. Z. marina plants, which were collected from donor bed in Koje Bay were also transplanted at 7 different time from October 2003 to July 2004 to find appropriate transplanting time. Density of Z. marina was monitored monthly at both transplanted areas and natural beds. Transplantation using the staple method showed the highest survival rate of transplant. Shell method was also an effective transplanting method at muddy areas in Kosung Bay and Jindong Bay, but not suitable at sandy areas in Dadae Bay. These results suggest that sediment composition of transplanting areas should be considered for the selection of the optimal transplanting method. Z. marina transplanted during fall usually showed the highest survival rate, while most Z. marina plants transplanted in summer died due to high lethal temperature during this period.

쥐오줌풀 개화·결실 특성과 적정 채종방법 및 육묘이식재배에 관한 연구 (Study on Flowering, Bearing Fruit, Seed Harvesting and Seedling Transplanting Cultivation of Valeriana fauriei Briquet)

  • This study was carried out to know the characteristics of flowering and bearing fruit, the optimum period, regions and methods for seed harvesting, the optimum temperatures for seed storage and germination, and the optimum period for sowing at nursery bed and seedling transplanting of Valeriana fauriei Briquet. The flowering and bearing fruit of Valeriana fauriei was developed from the before-year root. Optimum period for seed harvest of Valeriana fauriei was from late July to middle August, and optimum areas were the high elevated areas over 500 m above the sea level as Jinbu-myeon, Pyeongchang-gun, Gangwon-do. Using of net-bag for seed harvesting was the effective method to gather the full ripe seed, and bagging of net-bag was necessary from the season of middle May that was the flowering middle-stage. Germination rates don't show the difference among the different temperatures of storage as approximately 41% at $-20^{\circ}C$, $2^{\circ}C$ or $20^{\circ}C$ of seed storage temperatures. The optimum temperature range was in $15{\sim}30^{\circ}C$ for seed germination at nursery bed. The optimum period for seed sowing at nursery bed was the late February, and the optimum period for seedling transplanting was the middle April.

고랭지 결구상추의 기계정식시 적정 재식거리 및 노력절감효과 (Optimizing Planting Distance and Labor-Saving Efficiency for Head Lettuce Using a Transplanter for Summer Season Cultivation in the Alpine Area)

  • 고랭지 결구상추 기계정식시 두둑형상은 둥근두둑의 경우 두둑 폭 35-40cm, 두둑높이 15-20cm, 고랑폭 20-30cm이 적당하였다. 식부심은 4-5cm였으나 평탄정도가 불량한 곳에서는 정식기의 불안정으로 너무 깊게 심기거나 얕게 심기는 경우가 있었으며, 포장정식 후 충분한 관수로 적정수분을 유지할 수 있도록 하는 것이 중요하였다. 종합적으로 결구상추 기계정식시 정식노력 절감율은 관행대비 93% 이상 절감효과를 보였고, 재식거리는 1조식으로 $60{\times}20cm$ 또는 $60{\times}25cm$로 정식하는 것이 적합한 것으로 나타났다.

플러그묘 자동이식기의 묘 자동공급 및 이식기구에 관한 연구 (Automatic Feeding and Transplanting Mechanism for Plug Seedling Transplanter)

  • An automatic seedling transplanter, employed an innovative plug-seedling feeder was developed by improving the problems of conversational feeding and transplanting mechanisms. With conventional methods, missing and damage rates of seedling were high for long seedlings over 20cm and also breaking seed-bed was frequently observed. Thus, a pushout-bucket slide-hopper type trandsplanter was devised and tested. Test results of picking and transferring accuracies of the developed transplanter are as follows : A prototype transplanter performed with 1.5% of missing rate. The deviations of horizontal feed ranged from -0.3mm to 2.8mm and averaged 0.673mm for the 128-hoe test tray : and ranged from -lmm to +3mm and averaged 0.785mm for the 200-hole test tray. The deviations could decrease with precise manufacturing and lightening the mechanism. The maximum and deviations of vertical feed were -2.3mm and + 1mm, respectively, for the 128-hole test tray ; and were +3mm and +2.5mm, respectively, for the 200-hole test tray. The missing rate, seeding bruise rate and seed-bed damage rate were esitmate to be 1.3%, 0.4% and 3.5%, respectively, with the developed automatic transplanter.

고속 이앙기의 유압 수평 제어 장치 개발에 관한 연구 (Development of a Hydraulic Level Control System for High-speed Rice Transplanting Machines)

  • This study was conducted to develop system for high speed rice transplanting machines. The control system includes a sensor detecting the tilt angle of the seedling bed, a micro-controller and a hydraulic system consisting of a double acting cylinder, a four-way three-position solenoid valve, a relief valve and a hydraulic pump. The levelling system shared the pump with the existing steering control, resulting in a tandem center circuit for the steering and levelling control systems. Using the input signal from the sensor, the micro-controller determined and generated the output signal to control the cylinder through the solenoid valve to keep the seedling bed always parallel to the water surface regardless of soil unevenness during the transplanting operations. Both an ON/OFF and a PWM control schemes were tested. When the flow rate was more than 1 ι/min in the ON/OFF control, the system showed unstable rolling. However, in the PWM control, the system worked stably although the flow rate was more than 1 ι/min. The PWM control showed a better performance when a large difference between the angle and the dead band of the control system occurred. The characteristics of tile system response to given tilt angles were predicted by a computer simulation. Both the ON/OFF and the PWM control systems worked well providing that the operating and waiting times were properly adjusted.

  • 잣나무의 유묘기(幼苗期) 생육(生育)에 있어 광(光)과 단근(斷根) 처리(處理)에 따른 이식후(移植後) 생장(生長)에 미치는 몇 가지 영향(影響)에 대하여 조사(調査), 비교(比較) 하였다. 기(其) 결과(結果) 묘목(苗木)의 활착율(活着率)은 상대광도(相對光度)가 낮은 19%구(區)가 가장 높았고, 단근량(斷根量)은 1/2 이상(以上)이 되면 50% 이상(以上)이 감소(減少)되었다. 지상부(地上部), 지하부(地下部) 및 묘경생장(苗徑生長)은 상대광도(相對光度) 100%에서, 그리고 단근(斷根) 1/4 처리구(處理區)가 가장 양호(良好)하였다. 또한 엽속수(葉束數) 및 엽면적(葉面積)은 상대광도(相對光度) 63%구(區)가, 그리고 단근(斷根) 1/4 처리구(處理區)가 가장 크게 나타났다. 따라서 잣나무 유묘생장(幼苗生長)에 미치는 광도(光度)의 영향(影響)은 비교적(比較的) 높았으나 단근량(斷根量)의 효과(效果)는 극(極)히 적게 나타났다.

  • 피음처리(被陰處理)된 잣나무 유묘(幼苗)를 이식상(移植床)에 옮겨 광도(光度) 및 식재밀도(植栽密度)의 일부(一部)를 규제(規制)한 조건(條件) 하(下)에서 생육(生育)시킨 묘목(苗木)의 중량생장(重量生長)과 T/R 율등(率等)에 관(關)해 조사(調査) 하였던 바 그 분석(分析) 결과(結果)를 요약(要約)하면 다음과 같다. 1. 묘목(苗木)의 중량생장(重量生長)은 광도(光度) 및 식재밀도처리(植栽密度處理) 그리고 시간별(時間別) 생장(生長)의 경우 상대광도(相對光度) 100%구(區)와 식재밀도(植栽密度) $6{\times}6$본(本)(36 본(本)) 구(區)가, 그리고 5월(月) 26일(日)에서 6월(月) 25일간(日間)의 시기(時期)가 가장 높게 나타났다. 2. 이들의 생장양상(生長樣狀)은 광도(光度)가 점차(漸次)로 낮아 지거나 밀도(密度)가 높았을 때, 그리고 생유초기(生有初期)는(5월(月) 26일(日)~6월(月) 25일(日))로부터 점차(漸次) 늦어짐에 따라 묘목(苗木)의 중량생장(重量生長)은 감소(減少)하는 경향(傾向)을 보였다. 3. T/R율(率)에 있어서는 광도(光度)의 경우 상대광도(相對光度) 63%구(區)가, 그리고 식재밀도(植栽密度)는 $12{\times}12$본(本)(224본(本)) 구(區)가 가장 높았고 시기별(時期別)로는 7월(月) 26일(日)에서 8월(月) 25일(日) 사이에 가장 높았다.
