This paper treats the DIS (Digital Image Stabilization) problem subject to base motions such as translation, rotation and zoom. For the local motion estimation from a raw image, the Harris corner detection algorithm is exploited to extract feature points, and comparing those of consecutive images, the zoom ratio (scale factor) is computed. For the global motion estimation, an equivalent model is derived to account for a 3-dimensional composite motion from which the center point and Euler angle can be determined. Finally, the motion compensation follows. To show the effectiveness of the present DIS scheme, experimental results for synthetic images are illustrated.
In the future light rail vehicle is more attractive than subway, because of construction time and cost. For light rail vehicle are two types of traction motors. one is traditional rotating type and the other is linear motor. Linear motor is not better in consideration of efficiency and power factor than rotating type. But the motor needs no translation equipment for linear motion and with them can be constructed low floor vehicle. In this paper will be designed a linear induction motor with consideration of operational condition and analysed operating characteristics using FEM program and equivalent circuit.

Flower-inducing activity in the phloem exudata of Pharbitis cotyledons was investigated using the bioassay of Pharbitis and Lemna. By SDS-PAGE and 2-D gel electrophoresis of the phloem exudate, two polypeptides of 11 kDa and of approximately 32 kDa (pI 6.9) showing qualitative changes during the flower induction were detected. A polypeptide of approximately 20 kDa (pI 4.8) specifically labeled in vivo with [35S]methionine was found during the inductive dark period in Pharbitis cotyledon tissues. The polypeptide of the equivalent molecular mass and with the identicl pI value was also detected by in vitro translation assay. Thus, it is assumed that the 20 kDa polypeptide plays a role in the process of flower induction in Pharbitis cotyledons.

Nausea, vomiting and retching are universal symptoms that affect individuals' state of health and self-care activities of individuals. Accurate measurements of individual symptoms are required to gather more definitive data, and enhance understanding, planning, and implementation of self-care actions. Recently the Rhodes Index of Nausea, Vomiting, and Retching(INVR), a new format of the INV-2(the Rhodes Index of Nausea and Vomiting), was developed to measure the symptoms of nausea, vomiting and retching in an English speaking population. To determine the reliability and validity of the INVR, and the possibility of using the instrument in Korea, the Korean translation of the INVR and the INV-2 were administered to a convenient sample of 105 patients at two University Hospitals in Kwangju, Korea. The Cronbach's alpha to estimate the internal consistency of reliability for INVR was 0.844. Equivalent measures of reliability were conducted to determine the percentage of agreement and the Spearman rank correlation coefficients for responses on the two instruments. The percent agreement was 83% and the correlation coefficient was 0.906 over all. A significant differences between the INVR scores of the patients with and without nausea, vomiting, or retching were seen, which indicated a construct validity. The INVR was found to be more user friendly for the patient and the healthcare providers. As a result, it is suggested that the INVR can provide a scientific base for measuring the symptoms of nausea, vomiting, and retching for nurses to improve patients' care and quality of life.

The compressive strengths of simply supported columns may be significantly increased by reinforcing them with an assemblage of cross-arms and stayed struts connecting both ends of the columns and the cross-arm members. The purpose of the stayed struts and cross-arms is to introduce partial restraints against translation and rotation, thereby decreasing the effective buckling length of the column. In this study, buckling strengths of the assembled column system have been quantitatively evaluated from the theoretical methods based on both the equivalent spring model and the stiffness matrix formulation. And the results were compared with those from elastic/inelastic analysis using a finite element analysis package program, ABAQUS, for verification purpose. Expected compressive strength curves have been proposed for the assembled column system as a function of slenderness ratio of the simply supported column.

Vibrating test of vehicle component can be possible in lab-based simulators instead of field testing owing to the development of technology in control algorithm as well as computational process. Currently, Multi-Axial Simulation Table(MAST) is recommended as a vibrating equipment, which excites a target component for 3-directional translation and rotation motion simultaneously and hence, vibrational condition can be fully approximated to that of real road test. But, the vibration-free performance of target component is not guaranteed with MAST system, which is only simulator subjective to the operator. Rather, the reliability of multi-axial vibration test is dependent on the quality of input profile which should cover the required severity of vibrating condition on target component. In this paper, multi-axial vibration testing methodology of vehicle component is presented here, from data acquisition of vehicle accelerations to the obtaining the input profile of MAST using severe data at proving ground. To compare the severity of vibration condition, between real road test and proving ground one, energy principle of equivalent damage is proposed to calculate energy matrices of acceleration data and then, it is determined the optimal combination of special events on proving ground which is equivalent to real road test at the aspects of vibration fatigue using sequential searching optimal algorithm. To explain the vibration methodology clearly, seat and door component of vehicle are selected as a example.

This paper describes Real-Time Trasport Protocol(RTTP) that procisdes for a ; user cmnnection-oriented sercices with performance fuarantee.Assuming that eral-time network services will be provided,RTTP solves provlems at end-hosts.RTTP has defined a new set of primitives for real-time communication servies based on the analysis of uwer requirements on various applications.Introducing the notion of Abstract Network Layer independent of real networks.RTTP's implementation scheme can be applied to various netwoeks. The study also intriduces an inplemenation strategy, provide prdeictability of protocol processing time, wich should be known a priori for performance guarantee.Intermally,RTTP has a set of QoS translation rules that change a user'w performance requirements to the equivalent network QoS paramenters.RTTP also introuduces a new apportunistic error control mehtod that can trade-off between overhead and error corredtion according to a uwer's requirement on reliability.
This paper will evaluate the usefulness of 3D target of CBCT by comparing human body's posture and position when simulated treatment is being carried out as well as human phantom posture and position using CBCT which is applying OBI. From the Rando Phantom which is located in the datum point moved in parallel and rotationary direction using CBCT. Then the mean and standard deviation difference on images location difference that are acquired were compared with real the Rando Phantom' moved distance. To make a plan of simulated treatment with the same procedure of real radiation therapy, we are going to setup the Rando Phantom. With an assumption that the position is set in accurate place, we measured the setup errors accroding to the change of the translation and rotation. Tests are repeated 10 times to get the standard deviation of the error values. The variability in couch shift after positioning equivalent to average residual error showed lateral $0.2{\pm}0.2$mm, longitudinal $0.4{\pm}0.3$mm, vertical $-0.4{\pm}0.1$mm. The average rotation erroes target localization after simulated $0.4{\pm}0.2$ mm, $0.3{\pm}0.3$ mm, and $0.3{\pm}0.4$ mm. The detection error by rotation is $0{\sim}0.6^{\circ}$ CBCT 3D/3D matching using the Rando Phantom minimized the errors by realizing accurate matching during simulated treatment and patient caring.
The result from the research on the disease classifications of the traditional medicine in China, Japan, Taiwan, and North Korea are followings: 1. It is remarkable that China has two different classifications. One is of the diseases named by western medicine and the other is of the syndromes compounded with parts, characters, and pathology of the diseases. The Traditional Chinese Medicine has 615 codes for diseases in 7 departments, and 1684 codes for syndromes. It seems that they have tried to match each disease named by the traditional chinese medicine to each one named by western medicine. But, they have left the diseases impossible to be equivalent to the ones in western medicine themselves and used the same codes of western medicine when the diseases are the same ones in western medicine. 2. In Taiwan, they try to connect the diseases named by the traditional medicine to the ones named by western medicine based on ICD-9. But, they did not attempt to classify the diseases of the traditional medicine by its own ways. The names of diseases in Taiwan medicine include both diseases and syndromes. It is limited to name syndromes by the traditional medicine. And, Taiwan medicine follows ICD in naming injuries. 3. Japan has not got the disease classification for the causes of death, but only the Japanese disease classification for the causes of death, a translation 'The international disease classification for the causes of death. Therefore, The diseases named by traditional medicines are excluded in the public medicine by some Japanese medicines which diagnose through the western medicine and treat by Wa Kang medicine. 4. I can't find out the data over the disease classification for the causes of death by traditional medicine in North Korea. Instead, I can refer to case histories in which differentiation of symptoms and signs and points about them by traditional medicine and the final diagnoses and report about examination by the western medicine has been recorded. In conclusion, It is a distinctive feature that they connect the diseases and the syndromes by the traditional medicine to the ones by the western medicine, and don't tell the diseases from the syndromes.
Soil particle shape analysis was conducted with sands from Jumujun, Korea and Ras Al Khair, Saudi Arabia. Two hundred times enlarged digital images of the particles of those two sands were obtained with an optical microscope. The resolution of the digital images was $640{\times}320$. By conducting digital image processing, the coordinates of the soil particle boundary were extracted. After mapping those coordinates to the complex space, Fourier transformation was performed and the coefficients of each trigonometry term were computed. The coefficients reflect the shape characteristics of the sand grains and are invariant to translation. To evaluate the shape itself excluding the size of the soil particle, the coefficient was normalized by the equivalent radius of soil particle; this is called Fourier descriptor. After analyzing the Fourier descriptors, it was found that the major characteristics of Jumunjin and Ras Al Khair sands were elongation and asymmetry. Furthermore, it was found that the particle shapes reflect the self-similar, fractal nature of the textural features. The effects of resolution on soil particle shape analysis was also studied. Regarding this, it was found that the significant Fourier descriptors were not significantly affected by the image resolution investigated in this study, but the descriptors associated with textural features were affected.
