In elderly women, the significant difference between two data was appeared in 19 body parts. The 7 of 19 were concerned with armpit point. • This study used a single group pre and post-experimental design for nursing students to understand the effects of counseling theory and actual subjects on empathy and communication ability by applying traditional lecture-style education and case-based role-playing education. The subjects of this study were 66 students who took counseling theory and actual courses, understood the purpose of the study, and voluntarily agreed to participate in the study among all 2nd grade students enrolled in C nursing college in G area. The curriculum consisted of six weeks of lecture-style education, followed by case-based role-play education for six weeks. Three surveys were conducted before training, after lecture-style training, and after case-based role-play training. The collected data were analyzed using the repeated measurement variance analysis using the SPSS 26.0 program. As a result of this study, when nursing students were selected as 20-29 years old and compared the effectiveness of the program according to gender and time point, there was no significant difference in the empathy ability of the subjects by group or time point. There was no significant difference in communication ability according to the group, but there was a significant difference according to the time point (F=4.20, p=.017). Therefore, it was proved that the application of education using case-based role play to counseling theory and actual subjects has a positive effect on communication ability of nursing students rather than lecture-style education.

  • This study aims to explore how journalistic norms are practiced in journalists tweets by analyzing journalists' twitter. The study found that journalists consider using twitter as an extension of journalistic practice rather than a private space. In other words, journalists use twitter without a clear distinction about the nature of the twitter. In terms of journalistic norms, journalists expressed actively their opinion rather than keeping the traditional notion of objectivity. There are not much tendency of sharing the gatekeeping role. Also, journalistic use of twitter does not increase transparency as much as expected. However, there is a positive sign of practicing the newly expected journalistic role, conversation with news users. Finally the relationships between journalistic use of twitter and journalistic norms are not straightforward but diverse depending on the size and type of press, and gender of journalists.

Results: Total 101 participants were checked for with/without blood stasis. 40 participants were accord in the diagnosis with blood stasis by two doctors. Two researchers coincided in diagnosis with non-blood stasis in 42 participants. 19 participants showed the discrepancy between the assessment of blood stasis and they were classified as non-blood stasis. The mean age in group of blood stasis was $44.07{\pm}11.65$, it was not shown the significant difference comparing non-blood stasis group. The subscale of physical function (PF), role-physical (RP), bodily pain (BP), general health (GH), vitality (VT), mental health (MH) and role emotional (RE) in SF-36 were significantly low in the group of blood stasis. The respondents of the research were 1,000 married women, and the research was conducted with 482 women of childbirth intention. The findings are as follows. Age of sociodemographic factors has an influence on the childbirth intention. Related to family's character, factors influencing childbirth intention are number of children, times of spouses' housework, and marital satisfaction. In addition, emotional and instrumental values of children, number of recognized public services for reduction of low fertility. In order to improve childbirth intention, changes of perception of gender role and sharing housework, reinforcement of social system for work and family compatibility that convert changes of perception into action, advanced marital relationship programs, extensive support for subfertility and a huge build-up of social services related to reduction of low fertility need to be provided.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of work-family conflict factors on depression in Korean married women. For the analysis of the research, we were used in the 5th year data of Korean Longitudinal Survey of Women and Families. The subjects of this study were married women who were living with their husbands and wage workers, and the final analysis was 1,299. As a hierarchical regression analysis result, the work-family conflict of the working married women had a significant effect on depression. Especially, conflict from family to work has the highest effect on depression(${\beta}=.150$, p<0.01). This study suggests that traditional gender role pressures can have a negative impact on the mental health of working women. Therefore, it is necessary to take appropriate social policy measures to alleviate work-family conflicts of married working women.

  • This study explores whether or not marriage and other family values operate as factors that influence the willingness of women to voluntarily remain ever-single. The study includes as variables the sub-fields of marriage and family values that consist of traditional gender role awareness, freedom in sexual attitude, open outlook on marriage, familism, an acceptance of diverse families, fear of marriage, and assignment of value to extramarital factors. Participants of this study were 259 women in their twenties to forties with no experience of marriage, which were selected from the data used in the Korean Women's Development Institute's Investigation of Single Households(2007). Upon inserting value-related variables and sociodemographic variables into a binomial logistic model for analysis, age, open outlook on marriage, assigned value on extramarital factors, and an acceptance of diverse families were shown to be factors influencing the willingness of women to remain ever-single. That is, as the age spectrum is lower, outlook on marriage is open, more values are granted on the extramarital factors, and the degree of an acceptance of diverse views on family is higher, the chances that women would remain ever-single voluntarily were shown to increase.

  • The purpose of this study was to look into how married working men with a child younger than six years old spent their weekend time either alone or with their wives on housework, family care, and leisure activities, and to find out whether different types of time use brought about different levels of satisfaction to their use of time on weekends. Factors associated with each type were also explored. We analyzed 857 weekend time diaries of married men with a preschooler and men who worked more than 40 hours a week. This data came from the 2009 Time Use Survey conducted by Statistics Korea. Descriptive statistics and cluster analysis results showed that weekend time distribution to those three activities was classified into four different types, namely, 'nonparticipation', 'personal leisure centered', 'couple leisure centered', and 'family centered'. Time use satisfaction for 'couple leisure centered' and 'family centered' types which involved wife and child was significantly higher than the other two types. Age and traditional gender role attitude were associated with the personal leisure and couple leisure centered types, while work related factors such as work hours, regular day off, employment status, and occupation functioned as determinants of the nonparticipation type. Findings from this study suggest that weekend time spent together with family could be the source of satisfaction, but almost half of the respondents were deprived of their weekend family time due to work schedules on weekends. This study supports the need for organizational and policy efforts to ensure non-working weekends for fathers and husbands.

  • Amid growing social interest in child abuse, and announced the seriousness of child abuse crimes and aroused public interest in related issues. Based on true stories and characters, both films created unique narratives about child abuse cases, but drew on the traditional representation and discursive construction of child abuse news articles. By setting the stepmother as the perpetrator and the father as the neglecter, the gender role of women as primary caregiver was reconfirmed and the stereotypical image of the 'evil stepmother' in popular narratives was exploited. The cinematic reenactment of the evil stepmother not only highlighted the normative family discourse, but also reinforced the maternal myth by emphasizing the binary opposition between the evil stepmother and the lost birth mother.
