Effect of digital competence on scan time and scan error in intraoral scanning (디지털 역량이 구강스캐너의 스캔 시간 및 스캔 오차에 미치는 영향)

  • Objectives: This study aimed to test whether the digital competence of dental hygienists can affect their intraoral scanning potential in terms of scan time and error. Methods: Dental hygienists and dental hygiene students who had never used an intraoral scanner were surveyed to determine their digital competence. Individual data collected using an intraoral scanner was compared with reference data collected using a model scanner to identify scanning errors, and participants' scanning times were measured. Results: A significant decrease in scanning time was observed as the overall level of digital competence increased. The increase in digital skills and digital knowledge led to a decrease in scanning time by 3.73 and 3.98 minutes, respectively. Conclusions: This study found that digital competence was associated with reduced scan times, but less so with scan errors. This may be due to recent advances in scanning software, and future studies may need to develop a digital competence assessment tool that is more appropriate for the dental field.

A Study on the Interpretation of Architectural Color of Digital Space (디지털 공간의 건축색채해석에 관한 연구)

  • As various materials and new methods can be used due to developments in science and expansion of thinking, modern architectural color composes extensive possibilities exceeding its physical role of the past. In particular, rather than the initial external expression, the secondary connotative interpretation is more important in interpreting architectural color. This is because color interpretation changes the meaning of space based on light. Also, the development of digital technology has shifted the use of architectural color from passive realization to a more proactive concept and value. In other words, such shift leads to a new discussion on architectural color such as non-representation, invisibility, and non-physicality as the concept of fixed time, space and movement has been weakened. This paper begins by conceptualizing the digital space, a term widely used to interpret the architectural color of digital space. And it will be categorized as non-representational architectural color, invisible architectural color, and non-physical architectural color, by combining the characteristics of digital space with the modern architecture's color examples. Digital space overcoming the space time is differently interpreted from the past color expression. Modern architecture's color which substitutes the passive view with active body takes a role delivering various axes of discussions with synaesthesia.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the Digital Paradigm cords depicted on the Digital Clothing by borrowing nearby fields. Therefore, it will offer not only theoretical data but also databases for product development on functional and aesthetic views even though it is not systematically set up the idea vet. The Digital Paradigm cords of Interactivity. Nonlinearity and Combination in the Digital Clothing were determined. This study found that Interactivity Paradigm cord was expressed by the interaction of clothing and computer, the techniques of built in·attach·detach·fragment of the Digital Clothing at the external indicators, and maintained this personalizing that was pursued comprehension and the shape and silhouette of the existed clothing, that Nonlinearity Paradigm cord was able to overcome the limitation of a successively approach, in other words the discontinuous moving possibilities of time and space, that Combination Paradigm cord was contained creative concept without fixed ideas through coordination of Digital Clothing that was combination. continuous creation, changes and process between heterogeneous factors. In conclusion, introduction of the new Digital Paradigm is going to accelerate on lasting development and research.

Analysis and Improvement of Time Sampling effects on Singular Perturbation based Control Systems - Its Aplication to Design of Singular Pertubation based STT Missible Digital Autopilot (특이섭동 기법 기반 제어 시스템에 대한 샘플링 영향 분석 및 개선 - 특이섭동 기법 기반 STT 미사일 디지털 자동조정장치 설계에의 적용)

  • The guarantee of the fast dynamics stability is essential for successful application of singular Perturbation technique to control systems design. Even though the fast dynamics of the control systems is rendered stable by an analog controller, the fast dynamics stability of the control systems resulted from an digital implementation of the analog controller can be impaired severely. In this paper, we first investigate the time sampling effects on singular perturbation based control systems by centering on a design example of recently developed singular perturbation based STT missile autopilot with high performance. The investigation shows that the stability margin the fast dynamics of the STT misile autopilot system decreases rapidly as the sampling interval of discretizing the analog autopilot increases. Under this analysis, we propose a composite digital controller with compensation for the decreasing stability margin of the fast dynamics due to time sampling to achieve better performance with respect to sampling time. The improved performance of the proposed composite digital controller is verified by simulation. This result shows that one needs to investigate time sampling effects in the digital implementation of singular perturbation based controllder, and then can have benefit from the investigation.

Development of Framework for Digital Map Time Series Analysis of Earthwork Sites (토공현장 디지털맵 시계열 변화분석 프레임워크 기술개발)

  • Due to the increased use of digital maps in the construction industry, there is a growing demand for high-quality digital map analysis. With the large amounts of data found in digital maps at earthwork sites, there is a particular need to enhance the accuracy and speed of digital map analysis. To address this issue, our study aims to develop new technology and verify its performance to address non-ground and range mismatch issues that commonly arise. Additionally, our study presents a new digital map analysis framework for earthwork sites that utilizes three newly developed technologies to improve the performance of digital map analysis. Through this, it achieved about 95% improvement in analysis performance compared to the existing framework. This study is expected to contribute to the improvement of the quality of digital map analysis data of earthworks.

  • This paper deals with the viewing rate trends of digital media service special reference to terrestrial real time broadcasting of IPTV. In a few years, TV viewership of young people is decreasing, the audience viewing rate of the terrestrial broadcasting which is the representative of the media decreases, and the change of the broadcasting industry is progressing. Especially after the terrestrial broadcaster 's VOD holdback was extended, the viewer' s movement on the competitive channel & mobile media was rapidly progressing. Researcher assumed that the viewing rate of the terrestrial real-time broadcasting has influenced the comprehensive channel, CJ E&M subsidiary channels. As a result, researcher verified using statistical methodological time series analysis and regression analysis. Based on these results, researcher expects media players to prepare policies for viewers' satisfaction and symbiotic growth of markets.

A Study on the Effective Marketing Implementation through Face Recognition Technology in Smart Digital Signage

  • The aim of this research is to improve the effectiveness of digital media advertising because current advertisements -in digital signage - indiscriminately appeals to the general public rather than to a specific target. In order to deliver efficient and customized advertisement information, an IoT human body detection sensor mounted on digital signage detected human faces and then classified them firstly by gender. The digital signage here is a smart digital signage that can analyze facial signals, discriminate them based on patterns, and apply the extracted data by displaying the corresponding information to the user. In addition, by identifying the customer's location approaching the smart digital signage and displaying the optimized content information for the customer's location through an algorithm, the digital signage can dramatize the advertisement Thus, this is a study meant forimproving information efficiency while reducing noise and driving power waste generated from unnecessary digital information reproduction.

  • Before a developed digital Power System Stabilizer(PSS) is installed to real power system, an efficient trial test for installing PSS is needed. In this paper, the performance of developed digital PSS for a single hydro-turbine generator and infinite bus system has been investigated using Real Time Digital Simulator(RTDS) in order to install PSS to real power system practically. The test system was composed of RTDS, three phase voltage/current amplifier and the PSS and the test scheme provided a very efficient way to verify the design and control performance of a PSS to be applied to real power system. The trial installation test through AVR 3% step test and three fault analysis may be guaranteed to install PSS to real power system.

  • Virtual reality is not a new concept but just a new word and also it isnt limited to the reality created by computer-assisted image composition. Furthermore, we have lived within the virtual reality since long time ago, and the newly emerging digital technology has made the limits of the virtual expression vague and the definition of space concept new, The magical experiences we have had within the digital space consisted of Virtual space are the philosophical subject which we can hardly explain as a simple dichotomous definition such as Virtuality or Reality. But its true that our experiences made within virtual space are felt as much newer space considering those of space design, which have been traditionally made in our physical territory. Digital game is the representative space that provides a new space. Therefore, the new concept in space will be not just the territory expansion of space but also the opportunity we can find a new possibility through the relation between human and space.   • Nowadays, manufacturing industries undergo constantly growing pressures for global competitions, and they must shorten time and cost in product development and production to response varied customers' requirements. Digital virtual manufacturing is a technology that can facilitate effective product development and agile production by using digital models representing the physical and logical schema and the behavior of real manufacturing systems including products, processes, manufacturing resources and plants. For successful applications of this technology, a digital virtual factory as a well-designed and integrated environment is essential. In this paper, we developed a new classification and coding system for effective managements of digital virtual factory objects, and implement a supporting application to verify and apply it. Furthermore, a digital virtual factory layout management system based on the classification and coding system has developed using XML, Visual Basic.NET and FactoryCAD. By some case studies for automotive general assembly shops of a Korean automotive company, efficient management of factory objects and reduction of time and cost in digital virtual factory constructions are possible.
