올댐링을 고려한 스크롤 압축기 스러스트 베어링의 해석 (Analyses of Thrust Bearing in a Scroll Compressor Considering Oldham Ring)

  • A scroll compressor is on the increase in the use for the cooling and ambition machinery because of the advantages about high efficiency, low vibration and low noise. The design of thrust bearing for scroll compressor has depended on the experience. The lubrication considering the squeeze flow was applied for high side shell and low side shell of scroll thrust bearing. This work was based on governing fluid lubrication equation at the general coordinate. It shows the behavior for an orbiting scroll with direct numerical analysis using FDM. This study obtained the theoretical design value by finding load capacity and tilting angle of an orbiting scroll for thrust bearing in a scroll compressor. Especially this work performed the analysis about the design parameter. The program was written using Visual C++ to enhance user to change the design parameter easily. In particular the result value and the pressure profile were displayed as windows in every step for user to understand without difficulty.

  • This paper presents a position control system for a linear induction motor(LIM) with cage-type secondary using direct thrust control(DTC). The position controller, that combines the merits of integral-proportional(IP) speed control, is designed for the LIM. The actual position of the LIM is defected by the linear scale the resolution of 100. Thrust correction coefficient due to the end effect of the LIM is utilized in estimating actual thrust. As a result, responses of the position, speed, thrust, and flux are shown.

  • LRE(Liquid propellant Rocket Engine) is one of the important parts to control the motion of rocket. For operation of rocket in error boundary of the set-up trajectory, it is necessarily to control the thrust of LRE according to the required thrust profile and control the mixture ratio of propellants fed into combustor for the constant mixture ratio. It is not easy to control thrust and mixture ratio of propellants since there are co-interferences among the components of LRE. In this study, the dynamic model of LRE was constructed and the dynamic characteristics were analyzed with control system as PID control and PID+Q-ILC(Iterative Learning Control with Quadratic Criterion) control. From the analysis, it could be observed that PID+Q-ILC control logic is more useful than standard PID control system for control of LRE.

고추력 저가동률 리니어모터에 관한 연구 (Large Thrust Linear Motor for Low-duty-cycle Operation)

  • This paper presents a linear motor, which generates large thrust with a low operating rate. In industrial fields there is a need for actuators that work with a low duty cycle but generate large thrusts. An example of such a case is provided by the actuators for ejector mechanisms in electric injection molding machines. The ordinary LSM (linear synchronous motor) is unsuitable for this large-thrust and low-operating-rate usage, because of its large size and high cost. This paper contains experimental results on linear motors that can generate large thrusts for a short time, and which can be cheaply produced. The described linear motor could be contained space of $250mm \times250mm\times 250mm$ and generate a maximum thrust of about 20000 N at a current of 250 A.

An Analytical Method for Low-Thrust and High-Thrust Orbital Transfers

  • Analytical formulae are presented to approximate the evolution of the semi major axis, the maneuver time, and the final mass fraction for low thrust orbital transfers with circular initial orbit, circular target orbit, and constant thrust directed either always along or always opposite the velocity vector. For comparison, the associated results for high-thrust transfers, i.e. the two-impulse Hohmann transfer, are summarized. All results are implemented in a computer code designed to analyze planar planetary and interplanetary space missions. This implementation yields fast and reasonably accurate approximations to trajectory performance boundaries. Consequently, the approach can provide trajectory analysis for each spacecraft configuration during the conceptual space mission design phase. As an example, a mission from Low-Earth Orbit (LEO) to Jupiter's moon Europa is analyzed.

  • 본 연구에서는 핀틀 형상의 변곡점 존재 유 무가 SNECMA 노즐목 가변 추력기의 성능에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 알아보기 위해 수치해석을 수행하였다. 그 결과 변곡점의 존재는 요구추력을 유지하면서 공력하중이 감소하는 효과가 있어 전체시스템의 크기와 무게를 감소시킬 수 있다.

  • 본 연구에서는 노즐 수축각의 차이에 따라 추력기의 성능에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 알아보기 위해 SNECMA 노즐목 가변 추력기에 대해서 4가지 다른 노즐 수축각을 사용하여 수치해석을 수행하였다. 공력하중과 추력성능에 대해 분석하였고 노즐 수축각 $83^{\circ}$의 모델이 가장 좋은 결과를 보였다.

  • This paper proposes inserted core type of slotless Permanent Magnet Linear Synchronous Motor(PMLSM) to improve its low thrust density. However, by inserting the core between windings of each phase, detent force is generated and it acts as thrust ripple. Furthermore, linear motors generate end effect making thrust ripple. So, this paper applies the neural network to minimize detent force and to maximize thrust. Also, sub-poles is placed at the end parts of the mover to compensate end effect. To confirm of calculation method's validity, the calculated results are compared with experimental results.

  • In this paper, the estimation of Z-axis thrust ripple and vibration of BLDC motor with asymmetrical permanent magnet overhang is performed by 3-D Finite Element Method (3-D FEM) and vibration experimentation. The ripple of Z-axis thrust is due to armature reaction field in BLDC motor driven to squire wave. That is generating to Z-axis vibration. The analysis results of Z-axis thrust and the vibration by Z-axis thrust ripple is validated by comparison with experimental result.

A Method for Identifying Human-generated Forces during an Extensor Thrust

  • Some wheelchair users with neuromuscular disorders experience involuntary extensor thrusts, which may cause injuries via impact with the wheelchair, cause the user to slide out of the wheelchair seat, and damage the wheelchair. Knowledge of the human-generated forces during an extensor thrust is of great importance in devising safer, more comfortable wheelchairs. This paper presents an efficient method for identifying human-generated forces during an extensor thrust. We used an inverse dynamic approach with a three-link human body model and a system for measuring human body motion. We developed an experimental system that determines the angular motion of each human body segment and the force at the footrest, which was used to overcome the mathematical indeterminacy of the problem. The proposed method was validated experimentally, illustrating the force-identification process during an extensor thrust.
