Abstract. In this paper, for $a{\in}C$, we investigate functions $g_a$ and ${\psi}_a$ associated with three term relations. $g_a$ is defined by means of function ${\psi}_a$. By using these functions, we obtain some functional equations related to the Eisenstein series and the Riemann zeta function. Also we find a generalized difference formula of function $g_a$.

The authors aim mainly at giving fifteen three-term contiguous relations for the basic hypergeometric series $series\;_2{\phi}_1$ corresponding to Gauss's contiguous relations for the hypergeometric series $series\;_2F_1$ given in Rainville([6], p.71). They also apply them to obtain two summation formulas closely related to a known q-analogue of Kummer's theorem.

This study were proposed for the promotion policy on public confidence in nuclear power recovery schemes. To this end, the existing survey and secondary data review and public distrust of nuclear power plant safety issues were raised. In addition, the meta-analysis data were analyzed by using. Promote public confidence in nuclear power plants recovered three major policy presented. First, the nuclear power plant for the economical / safety communication strategy, short term / long term in terms proposed. Second, strengthen the nuclear power plant reliability and short-term communication strategy / long term in terms proposed. Finally, Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power's long-term image building measures proposed. The results of this study Korea's nuclear power plants to increase confidence in the effect is expected to be presented.

In this paper, a series of tasks related on polygonal numbers and pyramidal numbers are suggested for using them as teaching unit materials for teaching and learning of sequences in junior high school mathematics. Especially, finding n-th term in those seque-nces, relations among polygonal numbers, and relations among Pyramidal numbers are focused on. A series of tasks related on polygonal numbers and pyramidal numbers have three math-eucational values. First, they have a value as natural materials for teaching and teaming of finding nth term of original sequences using pro-gression of differences. Second, they have a value as materials for teaching and learning of mathematical thinking such as general-ization, analogy, etc. Third, they have a value as materials for teaching and learning of algebraic operation, proof, and connecting mathematical knowledges.

To examine the causal association between story usage and the ability of comprehending social relations, this study analyzed whether the short-term use of story heightened the degree of other-focused attention. To this end, this study randomly assigned 74 participants into three groups(novel, film, and exposition conditions), and participants were exposed to the stimuli for about 30 minutes, and then this study compared the degree of other-focused attention of the three groups. The results suggested that the degree of other-focused attention in the story groups (novel and film) were significantly higher than those in the exposition group. Though causal association between story usage and the ability of comprehending social relations were not clear, via demonstrating the formation of other-focused attention due to short-term use of story, this study provided empirical evidence for the simulation account of story.

Multi-dimensional verbal short-term memory mechanisms are largely divided into the phonological channel and the lexical-semantic channel. The former is called phonological short-term memory and the latter is called semantic short-term memory. Phonological short-term memory is further segmented into the phonological input buffer and the phonological output buffer. In this study, the language performance of each of three patients with similar levels of conduction aphasia was analyzed in terms of multi-dimensional verbal short-term memory. To this end, three patients with conduction aphasia were instructed to perform four different aspects of language tasks that are spontaneous speaking, repetition, spontaneous writing, and dictation in both word and sentence level. Moreover, the patients' phonological memories and semantic short-term memories were evaluated using digit span tests and verbal learning tests. As a result, the three subjects exhibited various types of performances and error responses in the four aspects of language tests, and the short-term memory tests also did not produce identical results. The language performance of three patients with conduction aphasia can be explained according to whether the defects occurred in the semantic short-term memory, phonological input buffer and/or phonological output buffer. In this study, the relations between language and multi-dimensional verbal short-term memory were discussed based on the results of language tests and short-term memory tests in patients with conduction aphasia.

Groundwater monitoring data from the National Groundwater Monitoring Stations, a total of 320 stations, were analyzed to identify the response of water level and quality to the Odaesan earthquake (M4.9) occurred in January 2007. Among the total of eight stations responded to the earthquake, five wells showed water-level decline, and in three wells, water level rose. In terms of recovery, water levels in four stations had recovered to the original level in five days, but not in the rest four wells. The magnitude of water-level change shows weak relations to the distance between the earthquake epicenter and the groundwater monitoring station. However, the relations to the transmissivities of monitored aquifer in the station with the groundwater change were not significant. To implement the earthquake monitoring system through the groundwater monitoring network, we still need to accumulate the long-term monitoring data and geostatistically analyze those with hydrogeological and tectonic factors.

In the present paper we discuss the stability and the post-buckling behaviour of thin piezoelastic plates. The first part of the paper is concerned with the modelling of such plates. We discuss the constitutive modelling, starting with the three-dimensional constitutive relations within Voigt's linearized theory of piezoelasticity. Assuming a plane state of stress and a linear distribution of the strains with respect to the thickness of the thin plate, two-dimensional constitutive relations are obtained. The specific form of the linear thickness distribution of the strain is first derived within a fully geometrically nonlinear formulation, for which a Finite Element implementation is introduced. Then, a simplified theory based on the von Karman and Tsien kinematic assumption and the Berger approximation is introduced for simply supported plates with polygonal planform. The governing equations of this theory are solved using a Galerkin procedure and cast into a non-dimensional formulation. In the second part of the paper we discuss the stability and the post-buckling behaviour for single term and multi term solutions of the non-dimensional equations. Finally, numerical results are presented using the Finite Element implementation for the fully geometrically nonlinear theory. The results from the simplified von Karman and Tsien theory are then verified by a comparison with the numerical solutions.

We investigate a history of reseahches of a nonlinear elliptic equation with jumping nonlinearity, under Dirichlet boundary condition. The investigation will be focussed on the researches by topological methods. We also add recent researches, relations between multiplicity of solutions and source terms of tile equation when the nonlinearity crosses two eigenvalues and the source term is generated by three eigenfunctions.

This study analyzed how the subcontracting business relations and structures of cooperation affect the relationship skills (Outcome) that is divided into three steps. We analyzed integrated data every other year from 2005 to 2009. As a results, in the execution of technical cooperation trade relations have influenced the positive attributes, but recently their influence has been weakened. As for technical cooperation, the structure should alleviate the problem of the uneven performance of technical cooperation. We suggested that technical expertise and infrastructure make possible the culmination of the long-term technological competitiveness level.
