  • The purpose of this study is to survey and analyze the environmental awareness and attitude of elementary school students, adapting the CHEAKS(Children's Environmental Attitude and Knowledge Scale) for Korean elementary students, which is the valid-tested tools for children's environmental awareness and altitude. The subjects are 580 students from 6 elementary schools. The differences of the environmental attitude are surveyed and analyzed by environmental education activities, such as environmental activities in school and “the school forest movement”, and environmental awareness and concern. The results are as followings: First, the subjects replied that the environmental problems are very serious, such as atmospheric pollution(37.6%), water pollution(22.2%) and food waste(16.3%), but they are relatively optimistic of the future environment. Second, the verbal commitment subdomain and the affect domain are evaluated higher than the actual commitment subdomain, and the environmental issues of water, energy and recycling are considered more importantly than other issues such as environmental generals, pollutions and animals. Third, the grade and the sex have little effect on the environmental attitude, but the environmental education activities have great positive effect, such as the experience of environmental camping, the education of saving resources, waste separation and the experience of raising plants and flowers. Fourth, the students with high awareness and concern about the environmental problems have high environmental attitude. Especially, the awareness and concern on the flowers and plants have very strong correlation with environmental attitude, regardless of the subdomains. Finally, the students from the school participating “the school forest movement” have relatively positive environmental attitude. Particularly, the participation of students and the positive approach of the school have positively great influence on the students' environmental attitude in all of 3 subdomains and 6 environmental issues.

Methods: The data were collected via individual in-depth interviews with 8 women with breast cancer, who participated in self-help groups during 2012~2013. All interviews were audio-taped and transcribed, and they were analyzed using a phenomenological method. Results: Six theme clusters were identified. "Breakthrough toward survival" describes how the participants identified self-help groups and got involved in the activities. "Genuine comfort obtained by 'misery loves company' deals with the emotional relief and catharsis. "New life fully recharged" demonstrates the changed belief system and the joy for life and living. • In the pandemic era, smart medical technology has also been applied to prevent and control diseases such as COVID-19. Health QR code system shave sparked recent discussion in the hopes of improving its convenience and safety. The many types of current health QR code systems in China exists causes inconvenience to those that are vulnerable, as well as raising the issue of personal information protection. In order to solve this problem, this paper proposes transparent integration of the health QR code systems and the process of protecting personal information, as well as designs an interface for user convenience. Through the method presented in this paper and the newly designed interface, users can enjoy the smart pharmaceutical system more conveniently and safely, and ensure effective results in the prevention and control of diseases that are likely to spread.

  • The aim of this study is to propose guidelines for bus-stop information design that is more congested with the advent of U-Shelter, via case studies and focus group interviews. First, the literature research explored the concept of information design and correlation of information design and route map. Second, raising problems and consider improvement plans through case study in korea, overseas. Finally, current information design was evaluated and user's requests were derived through focus group interview. The current information design had problems with lack of priority, information overlaying, and hard recognition. Priority shall be selected by bus route, direction of bus, arrival time, interval, and operating time, and information overlay can be reduced into one. Also visualize the connection and direction between the lines using schematic and two-dimensional lines and shapes for recognition. Through this study, it will be used as a reference material to help improve and develop the bus-stop information design.

  • The purpose of this study is to understand a ChoSun-jok female domesic worker's experience in a Korean home. This study adopted hermeneutic phenomenological method which was developed by van Manen. The participant for this study was a ChoSun-jok woman who had worked as a care-giver and housekeeper in Korean home for more than 2 years. She missed the time when she was raising her own daughter and son and expected the time that her family would be together. So, her present time wears away for her stable future in Korea which give an opportunity to make a good money. Also, she realized that she was a marginal existence : it meant she was neither a family member nor truly worker. She nursed the Korean children and did for the Korean family for money but wanted to be treated as a family member like a grandmother who could be honored about what she had done for the family. She felt that she was disregarded from the family when she miscommunicated with them because of the difference between cultures. She anticipated that she was appreciated for being here in the Korean home.

  • This study was aimed to seek the essential meaning of the Strengths Model based experience of the mothers of the children with ADHD. To achieve such goal, a phenomenological study was carried out from April 2010 to April 2011 covering about 12 months in the way of 2~3 times of interviewing with 14 mothers of the children with ADHD. As a result, the essence of the experiences of those mothers was interpreted as 'the running of unwanted marathon struggling themselves to complete it'. The joining in the unwanted marathon turned out to have led 'me' the mother of the children with ADHD into miserable pain, but that is the 'energy' for 'my child' to endure the world. The essence of those mothers' experiences were divided into eight processes by timely constitution. They firstly experience 'a serial confusion' by their children's odd behaviour which turns out to be 'a semiconscious feeling by the diagnosis with 'ADHD' but then they make full efforts for their children accepting their 'maternal fate'. In that process, they participate in the unwanted marathon with the feeling of misery and gratitude for the 'sayings of teachers which play the roles of shot and grace'. The process was expressed as 'marathon like pain'. They make a resolve to live positively in the midst of lonely struggle unable to give up toward the finish line for 'my child and myself'. They encourage themselves for their children, but that's not easy process. Nevertheless, they gain enduring energy supported by their child, family and specialists. Those mothers keep running today also for their 'beloved doves enduring the ongoing hardship' from the raising of abnormal child toward the finish line of the marathon they have to run for even though the 'finish line' may turn into' 'starting point' again'. This researcher submits here the maternal experiences above as the task to practice social welfare for the mothers of the children with ADHD and the children themselves.

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the degree of awareness and need for dental health insurance of parents with children under 12 years of age, and provide it as basic data for the development of the dental health insurance system in the future. It was conducted with 158 parents who are raising children under the age of 12 in Busan and Gyeongnam areas. In the case of mothers(p=.001), the higher the age (p=.005), the higher the experience of sealant. In the case of mothers, the knowledge of sealant (p=.012) was high. When the gender was female (p=.026), the parenting relationship was mother (p=.006), and regularly engaged in vocational activities (p=.003), the awareness of resin filling was high, and the experience was the child's age (p=. 004) was higher, the higher the knowledge was when the parenting relationship was mother (p=.024). The factors influencing the satisfaction of sealant were found to be the parents education level (p=.004), the awareness of the sealant (p=.003), and the experience (p=.011). From the above research results, more active publicity is needed to increase the awareness and experience of parents' health insurance.

  • CFRD(Concrete Faced Rockfill Dam) is in widespread use because this type of dam has superior characteristics in structural, material aspects comparing with earth cored rockfill dam. On this paper, up-to-date re-searches and techniques are summed up to be available for future needs in design and construction of CFRD. For example, such items as embankment using weak rock, experience of sand-gravel fill CFRD, connecting slab applied between plinth and face slab, raising experience of old dm, inverse filtration problem, environmental friendly zone, thickness and reinforcing of face slab, alluvial foundation treatment, and curb element method, are summarized for understanding of related engineers.
