The Effects of Education Service Quality on Learning Outcome in the Culinary Education Facility: Application of IPA

  • This article examines the effects of education service quality of culinary education facility on the learning outcome. For this, items for figuring out the relation between education service quality and the learning outcomes has been deducted through IPA regarding education service quality. Further, the factors of education service, which is for verifying the effects of relevant experiences (culinary certificate) have been examined according to advanced studies. Self administered questionnaires have been prepared by 231 samples in total and the collected data have been analyzed through frequency, factor, reliability and regression analyzing methods by using SPSS 18.0. The results from paired t-test performed on the importance and performance of culinary education service quality indicate that expertise, level of knowledge, education method of instructor and additional convenience facilities (locker and lounge etc) are the most important factors respectively. The results from IPA analysis show that the quadrant 1 includes knowledge level, education method, kindness of instructor. The quadrant 2 contains awareness of instructor while the third one includes culinary facility, tool structure and convenience facility. In addition the quadrant 4 includes hygiene of learning place. According to the results from hypothesis test, education service quality affects learning outcome and the experience (certificate) of learner from culinary education facility results in difference in education service quality and awareness of learning outcome therefore the hypothesis is partially verified.

교통안전진단 결과분석을 통한 교통사고 요인분석 - 사고자 요인을 중심으로 - (A Factor Analysis of Traffic Accidents Through Traffic Safety Diagnosis Results - Driver Factor -)

  • Traffic accidents occur due to complex influences of transportation companies, drivers, and road environment. This study found that education and surroundings for transportation companies, driving habits of drivers, and road safety facilities and accessory facilities were main factors that affected strongly traffic accidents. Also, it found that driving habits of drivers could affect accidents heavily more than two other factors. Road safety and accessory facilities were analysed that they affected traffic accidents independently with transportation companies and their own drivers. Therefore, in order to achieve a traffic accident prevention as our main target, those companies need to produce atmosphere that their own drivers can have safety awareness, and related institutions for the above target should run parallel with policy assistance and strict traffic enforcement. In the end, this study suggests that transportation companies should secure manpower wholly being charged with traffic safety and financial resources investing in it.

서울시 시설거주 노인의 여가프로그램제약정도와 여가생활만족도 - 무료양로시설을 중심으로 - (The Leisure Constraint and Leisure Life Satisfaction of the Institutionalized Elderly in Seoul - Focusing on the Free Institutionalized Elderly -)

  • This study investigated the leisure constraints and leisure life satisfaction of the institutional elderly. The respondents were 302 elderly people residing in 5 free institutionalized elderly homes in Seoul. The data were analyzed by frequency analysis, factor analysis, One-way ANOVA, Duncan's post hoc test and regression analysis using SPSS WIN 12.0 program. Exploratory factor analysis revealed that the 10 items in the proposed scale could be grouped into four factors of constraint on leisure:'physical constraint','psychological constraint','interpersonal constraint', and 'structural constraint 'There were differences in leisure constraints according to sex, age, education degree, interaction with facility colleagues, and interaction with facility staff. There were differences in leisure life satisfaction according to sex, age, having religion or not, interaction with facility colleagues, interaction with facility staff and leisure constraints. Regression analysis results indicated that the main effective factors of leisure life satisfaction were leisure constraints.

학교급식 지속가능경영활동에 대한 영양사의 자기평가와 장애요인 - 대전·충남지역을 중심으로 - (Dietitians' Self-Evaluation and Barriers to Sustainable Practices for School Foodservice Management - Focused on Daejeon and Chungnam Area -)

  • Purpose: The purposes of the study were to evaluate dietitian's practices for sustainability management and identify barriers of sustainability management at school foodservice. Methods: A total of 220 dietitians working in Daejeon and Chungnam area were surveyed. 187 responses were analyzed for the study. Data were analyzed using SPSS Windows. Results: The respondents were 36% in their 20 s, 38% in their 30 s, 39.6% in elementary schools, 33.7% in middle schools and 26.4% in high schools. Among dietitian's practices for sustainability management, the item with the highest self-evaluation was purchase eco-friendly food (3.75). The category with the highest score was procurement (3.52), by waste management (3.48), production (3.39), menu management (3.36), facility and energy management (3.20), personnel management (3.18), and nutrition education (3.04). In the area of menu management, production management, facility and energy management, nutrition education, and personnel management, scores of elementary school working dietitians were the highest, followed by middle school and high school (p<0.001). The most perceived factor for barriers to sustainability management was principal's indifference to sustainability management (4.10 out of 5 points). ietitian's sustainability management practices and barriers showed a negative correlation. Conclusion: It is necessary to dietitians, employees, and principals' awareness about sustainability management in order to perform effective sustainable management school foodservice.

대학생활만족에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Influencing to Satisfaction of College Life)

  • This study examines the factors that have an effect on the satisfaction of student campus life in two college. By the survey questionnaire, three factors selected from 14 questionnaire by factor analysis in the college environmental character. Those factors ware analyzed to estimate the results of this study. And the effect and type of word of mouth communication surveyed by one questionnaire respectively. The major results of this study are as follow; First, the factors that effected on satisfaction of students are the distinction of sex, the division of major field and the distinction of college. But the academic grade factor is not available, Second, the factors of tutors/curriculums and education support service effected on satisfaction of students in campus life, but the factor of education convenience facility is not. Finally, the effect and communication of word of mouth resulted in effectiveness for on satisfaction of students in campus life.

Development of Head-cook's Education and Training Curriculum by Analyzing Job Characteristics and Competencies in Contract Foodservice Management Company

  • The primary purpose of this study was to investigate the job characteristics and competencies of a head-cook in contracted foodservice management company, identify the knowledge, abilities, skills and other characteristics (KASO) required to perform the duties of a head-cook, and provide training content and develop training program for job of head-cook in contract foodservice management company (CFMC). A survey instrument including identified KASO was used in the study. The questionnaire was delivered by using e-mail to 165 head-cooks employed by CFMC. The factor analysis resulted in a three-factor structure of the instrument such as 'basic foodservice operation duties' 'personal characteristics' 'managing of expanded duties-menu, customer and business'. This result suggested the education and training program for head-cook in CFMC should be composed of 'basic foodservice operation duties' on 'bulk preparation', 'procurement, inventory management', 'facility and equipment management', and 'sanitation and safety management', 'personal characteristics' on 'personality management' and 'moral duties', and 'managing of expanded duties-menu, customer and business' on 'menu management', 'customer service management', 'cost management', and 'administrative ability'. Therefore, it will be expected that the management of human resources in the contract foodservice industry would be developed by the application of recommended education and training program.

교육시설물의 수선교체비용에 대한 확률론적 분석 연구 (A Probabilistic Analysis on the Repair and Replacement Cost of Educational Facilities)

  • Educational facilities are more uncertain about maintenance costs due to their comprehensive and long life-cycle compared to commercial buildings. In addition, maintenance of the existing post management system can not maintain the original function of education facilities continuously and economically. In order to overcome this problem, it is necessary to analyze the repair and replacement cost for the uncertainty factor in maintenance. This study propose a model to determine repair and maintenance cost and cycle of educational facility based on probabilistic estimation concept. For the analysis, Monte Carlo simulation, a probabilistic analysis method, was applied based on the repair and maintenance history data of the educational facilities in Florida. The results of this study can be used as a guideline for quantitative facility management and facility management research.

대학 기숙사 시설의 사용자 만족도 향상을 위한 효율적인 유지보수관리(O&M) 방안 제안 (Suggestions on Efficient O&M Plan for Improving Users' Satisfaction on the University Dorm Facilities)

  • An university dorm has significant implications in terms of providing residential, living, and learning spaces. With its supportive function, a dorm enables each university to provide higher level of education. The operation & maintenance(O&M) condition of the dorm has a decisive effect on the students' satisfaction. Accordingly, high levels of O&M services should be performed for students. However, Korean dorms are being operated and maintained by their own O&M guidelines without the consideration of spatial characteristics of dorm facilities and the comprehensive and systematic understanding on effective O&M processes. Given the fact that dorm facility can be a crucial factor in determining the entire quality of university and its O&M condition is closely related to the satisfaction of students, it is imperative that we need to pay more attention to the O&M condition and services. Therefore, the main objective of this research is to improve dorm students' satisfaction levels by applying different O&M method, preventive maintenance rather than reactive maintenance which has been performed so far. In ordering for doing it, 'Facility Management(FM) Standard' from KS, 'Facility Performance Indicator(FPI)' from APPA: Leadership in educational facilities and 'Building O&M Inspection Manual' from Korean Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport were analyzed to come up with 15 significant O&M factors. After extracting O&M factors, the survey was conducted to determine importance rate and performance rate of each O&M factor. Using the Important-Performance Analysis(IPA), the priority of 15 O&M factors was established. The result of this research will be helpful for the efficient dorm facility O&M services and for facility managers to appropriately allocate the limited resources and human power.

내장산국립공원의 탐방객 만족요인 및 예측모형 분석 (Analysis of Visitor's Satisfaction Factors and Determinants in Naejangsan National Park, Korea)

  • 본 연구는 내장산국립공원 탐방객 281명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 탐방 후 평가를 통하여 만족도, 만족요인 과 예측모형을 분석하여 실질적인 공원관리의 기초자료를 제공하는데 그 목적이 있다. 만족도 분석결과 내장산사무소는 공공시설부족 및 불만, 이용프로그램부족, 숙박시설 부족 및 불만, 시설이용료부담감, 바가지요금 등, 백암사무소는 시설이용료부담감, 이용프로그램, 상업시설 불만 및 부족, 숙박시설 등에 불만족하였다. 만족요인으로는 '시설관리', '이용자관리' 요인이 내장산사무소(34.3%)와 백암사무소(45.6%)에서 가장 큰 영향을 미쳤으며, 만족도 예측모형에 있어서 내장산사무소는 '탐방로훼손', '상업시설만족도', '쓰레기처리', 백암사무소는 '문화역사자원훼손', '상업시설만족도', '호객행위방지' 등의 순으로 만족도에 영향을 미치는 예측모형이 만들어졌다. 지리적으로 유사한 위치에 있으며 자원과 특성이 비슷하여 큰 차이를 보이지 않았으며 탐방객의 75%가 집중하는 가을단풍기에 시설 및 이용자를 위한 관리기법이 필요한 것으로 나타났다.

원예전문생산단지 운영에 대한 중요도-만족도 분석 (Importance-Performance Analysis of Operation of Specialized Complexes for Horticultural Production)

  • 본 연구는 시설원예 작물 재배 농가들을 대상으로 응답자들의 항목별 선호도를 분석하고, 농업현장에서 농민들이 체감하는 원예단지에 대한 만족도와 문제점을 파악하고 평가하고자 하였다. 분석 대상은 크게 생산관련 소모품 공동구입, 온실시설 기자재 공동구입, 공동 육묘 생산, 공동 냉난방시설 사용, 공동출하, 토양 검사 및 인증제도를 포함하는 공동 활동부분과 생산기술정보, 온실시설관리정보, 유통관련정보, 생산기술교육, 온실시설관리교육, 유통관련교육을 포함하는 정보교류 및 교육부분으로 나누었다. 공동활동 부분의 IPA분석결과 소모품 공동구입, 기자재 공동구입, 공동출하 항목이 중요도와 만족도가 모두 높아 지속적인 유지가 필요하며, 공동육묘 생산, 공동냉난방 시설 등 2개 항목은 중요도와 만족도가 모두 낮아 우선순위를 낮추어도 될 것으로 판단된다. 소모품 및 기자재 공동구입에 대한 단지별 생산자 니즈를 파악하고, 원예전문생산단지가 수출집중형인 경우에는 공동출하 체계를 적극 활용해 수출대상국별 경쟁력 있는 교섭권을 더욱 강화해 나가야 할 것이다. 한편, 육묘장과 냉난방시설의 경우, 정부지원을 받아 시설을 소유하고 있는 비율이 높기 때문에 중요도-만족도가 낮은 것으로 판단된다. 그러나 $CO_2$ 저감을 위한 환경친화적 신재생 에너지의 활용 및 지속가능한 농업의 관점에서 고찰해보면, 에너지 이용 효율성 제고 및 환경 친화적 원예단지 조성이 중요한 부분이라는 것을 인지해야 할 것이다. 또한, 토양 검증 및 인증 항목은 중요도에 비해 만족도가 높아 과잉관리가 개선될 필요성이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 원예전문생산단지 평가 지표에서 가점을 주는 평가항목들이기 때문에 이미 잘 관리가 되고 있는 것으로 설명할 수 있다. 정보교류 및 교육부문의 IPA분석결과 가장 집중적으로 관리되어야 할 요인으로 생산기술 교육이었으며, 원예전문단지 교육을 실시하기 위해서는 생산기술 교육을 타 교육(온실관리 및 유통관련 교육) 보다 집중적으로 실시해야할 부분으로 평가할 수 있다. 생산기술 정보, 온실시설 관리정보, 유통관련 정보는 중요도와 만족도가 모두 높아 지속적으로 잘 유지해야 할 필요가 있는 요인들이다. 다양한 정보에 대한 응답자들의 중요도와 만족도가 높기 때문에, 농가들의 적극적인 정보 교류를 활성화 시키는 방안을 제시할 수 있을 것이다. 예를 들면, 구성원들의 정보교류 어플리케이션, SNS 활동 혹은 홈페이지 활용, 공식적인 정기모임 및 정보교류 회의를 위한 협의체를 구성 등을 들 수 있겠다. 온실관리 교육, 유통관련 교육의 2개 요인에 대해서는 우선순위를 낮추어도 좋은 것으로 판단된다. 마지막으로 생산성 향상 및 시설원예의 경쟁력 강화를 위해 정부 주도의 시설원예단지 규모는 더욱 확대될 것이므로, 본 연구의 결과가 원예전문생산단지의 운영에 효율적으로 적용되기를 기대한다.
