  • In this study, a new modal test method is presented to evaluate vibration characteristic of the nano imprint stage system. Since it is difficult to measure vibration level without contacting the machine component, non contacting modal test method, laser scanning system is ultrared. Finite element analysis results are compared with the modal test results.

  • We tested the natural frequency for the 1st moving blades of a steam turbine in general power plants, carried out the modal test of the blade groups each natural frequency. By this test results, we identified the resonance results largely in damaging the blades. We can predict damage probability for the blade groups and change state of material property by using the result of this study.

  • Sn-Bi eutectic solder alloy have is good wetting and physical properties. The results of solder paste properties test, melting point is about $139^{\circ}C$ and spread test is represent spread properties of $7{\sim}16%$. The results of shear strength after as reflowed, thermal shock test, high temperature storage test of 500hr and 1000hr at $100^{\circ}C$. The shear strength value range is from 6000 to 11000gf, pull strength value range is from 2200 to 3300gf.

  • A minimum turning circle test of vehicles is operated by using Real-Time Kinematic(RTK) surveying method which enhances the precision of the Global Positioning System(GPS). A procedure of the conventional method to obtain results is to take post processing after the test. Therefore, it is difficult to ensure results in an instant. This paper introduces developed process and equipment that can immediately obtain results after the minimum turning test without post processing.

  • Vertical congressive and horizontal pile load tests were performed to a instrumented large diameter (D : 1,000 mm) drilled shaft. A drilled shaft was penetrated into the weathered soil and weathered rock. PMT was done for evaluation of properties for these strata. It was expected to be difficult to get undisturbed samples of weathered soils and rocks. Thus. PMT was done at the several selected depths. In those strata, to prevent the test bore hole from collapsing, bentonite slurry was used for making the test bore hole. In this study. soil properties was evaluated by means of PMT results and estimating method (direct method, the Memard method) of vertical pile capacity and horizontal pile behaviors were summarized. Also, vertical and horizontal pile capacity were calculated using PMT and pile load test results.

  • It is easier to view flow visualization by using a water tunnel rather than a smoke wind tunnel because of low speed at same Reynolds number. Using a water tunnel also produces more definite flow visualization by the use of various color dyes. The flow uniformity in test section is very significant for accuracy of the test because most flow experiments elicit results through the installation of a model in uniform flow. The purpose of small-size desktop-type water tunnel is not to produce quantitative measurements, but rather to give a visualization of the fluid flow phenomenon. However, uniformity in the test section affects the accuracy of the results. Accordingly, this research estimates uniformity in a water tunnel test section by using the commercially available CFD code FLUENT. Results of the CFD analysis show that the flow uniformity of the test section is good.

  • In order to find the effect of material property and lubricant viscosity on the frictional characteristics a sheet metal friction tester was designed and tensile test, surface roughness test, and friction test were performed with several kinds of drawing oils. Test results show that as the lubricant viscosity becomes lower, the friction coefficient is higher. When surface roughness is extremely low or high, friction coefficient is also high. Using these test results, the friction model considering lubricant viscosity and surface roughness is developed. The validity and accuracy of the friction model are shown by comparing the punch loads among FEM analysis results employing current friction model and conventional friction model respectively and experimental measurement.

  • For the safety of railway, it should be evaluated for the running safety by measuring the derailment coefficient. Although railway has run the fixed and maintained rail, some of railway is derailed. This report shows the results that performed the static load test, wheelset manufacturing for test, main line running test on the basis of the derailment theory and experience. It is executed main line test to 120 km/h for estimating the running safety of express train in Incheon International Airport. As the test results, could confirm the curving performance and running safety of Incheon International Airport EMU from the results of the wheel unloading, lateral force, derailment coefficient etc. Derailment coefficient was less than 0.8, and lateral force allowance limit and wheel load reduction ratio were enough safe.

Pullout Test of Headed Reinforcement 2: Deep Embedment

  • Pullout tests of single headed bars using plain concrete blocks indicate that the embedment depth of $10d_b$ is in general required for the headed bars to develop pullout strength equivalent to 125% of bar yield strength. In this experimental study, test results of multiple headed bars installed in reinforced concrete column sections are presented. Test variables included embedment depth, column main reinforcement ratio, and spacing of column ties. 2D29 bars were pulled out at one time from normal strength concrete. Test results indicated that the embedment depths, column tie spacings, and column main reinforcement ratios all influenced the pullout strengths of the headed bars. When the embedment depth was not sufficient, narrow tie spacings especially resulted in increased pullout strengths of the headed bars. Test results also indicated that the embedment depth of 15㏈ was sufficient for the closely spaced two headed bars (head-to-head spacing =$6d_b$) to develop pullout strength equivalent to 125% of the bar yield strength.

  • In this paper, we have presented structural analysis procedure and full scale test results for 4-seater canard airplane. Construction of the finite element model is critical path for the aircraft structural analysis and directly affects the structural integrity. The refinement of the finite element model should be determined depending on full scale test results. From the results of the structural analysis, 5 design limit loads test conditions and 11 design ultimate loads test conditions were selected. By the presented procedure, the structural integrity of 4-Seater Canard Airplane is successfully obtained.
