A simple method of stiffness matrix formulation based on single element test

  • A previously proposed finite element formulation method is refined and modified to generate a new type of elements. The method is based on selecting a set of general solution modes for element formulation. The constant strain modes and higher order modes are selected and the formulation method is designed to ensure that the element will pass the basic single element test, which in turn ensures the passage of the basic patch test. If the element is to pass the higher order patch test also, the element stiffness matrix is in general asymmetric. The element stiffness matrix depends only on a nodal displacement matrix and a nodal force matrix. A symmetric stiffness matrix can be obtained by either modifying the nodal displacement matrix or the nodal force matrix. It is shown that both modifications lead to the same new element, which is demonstrated through numerical examples to be more robust than an assumed stress hybrid element in plane stress application. The method of formulation can also be used to arrive at the conforming displacement and hybrid stress formulations. The convergence of the latter two is explained from the point of view of the proposed method.

소형 카메라 모듈용 테스트 핸들러의 자동 초점 조절 방법 (An Auto-Focusing Method for CCM Test Handlers)

  • This paper proposes an auto-focusing method for production of compact camera module (CCM). The CCM test handlers are mainly used in the final CCM production stage to test and adjust the lens focus of CCMs. To improve the productivity of CCM test handlers, we propose the auto-focusing method adjusting the lens focus efficiently. The max-min-difference (MMD) method is newly developed to compute the focus value efficiently, and two-stage searching method is also developed to find the best focus position quickly. Experimental results are presented to verify the usefulness of proposed method.

In-situ 소음투과손실 측정 및 검증을 위한 기법 개발 (New Method for Measurement and Validation of In-situ Sound Transmission Loss)

  • The sound transmission loss is a key index to evaluate the acoustic performance of a car-body structure at the high frequency range. From this paper, a new validation method for in-situ sound transmission loss is proposed. First, in-situ sound transmission loss is measured by using PU intensity probe on the condition of complete vehicle. Second, validation test, which is consisted of internal, external and total frequency response function test, is performed by using volume acceleration source and microphones. Then, these test results are compared to validate the accuracy of in-situ sound transmission loss. Finally, the test result of in-site method is compared with results of two reverberant room test method and SEA analytical method. The reliability of in-situ method is confirmed by these procedures.

P300 숨긴정보검사에서 t 검증이 부트스트랩 방법보다 덜 민감한가? (Is the t-test insensitive than the bootstrap method in the P300-based concealed information test?)

  • P300 숨긴정보검사에서는 조사대상자가 거짓을 말하고 있는지 판단하기 위하여 관련자극의 P300 진폭이 무관련자극의 P300 진폭보다 통계적으로 유의하게 더 큰지를 평가한다. 구체적인 통계적 방법으로 독립표본 t 검증 또는 부트스트랩 방법을 사용할 수 있다. Rosenfeld와 Soskins, Bosh, Ryan(2004)은 "개인 내에서 관련자극과 무관련자극의 P300 평균을 비교하는데 사용하기에는 t 검증이 너무 둔감하다."면서 부트스트랩 방법을 사용하였다. 본 연구의 목적은 P300 숨긴정보검사에서 t 검증의 검증력이 부트스트랩 방법보다 더 낮은지 평가하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 39명의 실험참가자로부터 측정한 뇌파자료를 이용하여 Monte Carlo 연구를 수행하였다. 연구결과, t 검증과 백분위를 이용한 부트스트랩 방법의 1 종 오류율은 서로 비슷하였으며, 백분위를 이용한 부트스트랩 방법의 검증력이 t 검증의 검증력보다 약간 더 높았다. 두 검증 방법의 1 종 오류율은 모두 유의수준보다 낮은 값을 보였으며, 검증력은 이론적인 t 검증의 검증력보다 약간 낮은 값을 보였다. 반면에 표준오차를 이용한 부트스트랩 방법의 1 종 오류율과 검증력은 이론적인 t 검증의 1 종 오류율 및 검증력과 비슷한 값을 보였으며, t 검증의 검증력보다 실험조건에 따라 .012 ~ .081 더 높았다.

  • 본 논문은 조합논리회로의 고장검출에 관한 것이다. 회로내의 각 line의 test set사이의 관계를 고찰하므로서 모든 test set을 D-algorithm을 반복하여 적용하지 않고 어느 하나의 test set 만을 구하여 이를 전파시켜서 구할 수 있는 방법을 연구하였고, 두번째로는 모든 선마다의 test set을 구하여 이를 회로에 모두 인가하여 고장을 검출하는 종래의 방법을 벗어나서 입력수만큼의 test set을 인가하여 출력의 상고를 점검하여 고장을 검출하는 방법을 제시되었다.

  • Pull-off test is generally used as a method of evaluating bond strength of FRP with concrete at the job site. However, pull-off test damages FRP composites and the maximum pull-off strength is limited up to tensile strength of concrete. Accordingly, it is required to set-up a test method that can simply evaluate bond performance of structural adhesive. This study suggested compression and bending test of epoxy resin as test methods that can indirectly evaluate performance of adhesive, as well as standardized test specification for different types of specifications from various countries. In this study, the section dimension of compression and bending test specimens is unified, and standard test specimen size is achieved by test results.

  • Opening size of 3 types of geotextile were tested using dry and wet sieving methods to evaluate characteristics of test methods and to compare the test results. Judging from test results, dry sieving method is a poor test, having many problems causing many errors but a simple-quick test. Wet sieving method is a very specific test avoiding many of the problems of dry sieving such as electrostatic charges, trapping in the geotextiles and so on. However, one of wet sieving tests, KSK ISO12956, takes long time to complete a test and is too strict to handle loss of granular material. Generally, opening size of a geotextile by wet sieving test is smaller than that of dry sieving test. Especially, opening size by KSF 2126 which is one of wet sieving test but disused at present anymore is similar or smaller than that by KSK ISO12956 method.

  • As landscaping building roofs and concrete structures increase gradually for low carbon green growth policy of government, But waterproofing membranes of those structures are effecting by root penetration of landscape plant. 80, we progressed study about test method for fast evaluating root resistance of waterproofing materials jointly with Tokyo Institute of Technology. The result of the study is as follows: (1) The penetrating load of the needle at the displacement speed of 1mm/min was measured for various membrane to basis and lap joints of membrane, the load force was $3{\sim}50$ N by material variously. (2) According to the test method of deriving rhizomes of bamboo grass to basis and lap joints of membrane, there were no penetrated membrane until present, but need persistent observation. (3) Test method of deriving rhizomes of bamboo grass to basis and lap joints of membrane can shorten from period of 2 years to 1 year for testing. Because rhizomes of bamboo grass can grow from May to September, test is possible in same period.

Analysis on Hydrodynamic Force Acting on a Catamaran at Low Speed Using RANS Numerical Method

  • This paper discusses the hydrodynamic characteristics of a catamaran at low speed. In this study, the Delft 372 catamaran model was selected as the target hull to analyze the hydrodynamic characteristics by using the RANS (Reynold-Averaged Navier-Stokes) numerical method. First, the turbulence study and mesh independent study were conducted to select the appropriate method for numerical calculation. The numerical method for the CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamic) calculation was verified by comparing the hydrodynamic force with that obtained experimentally at high speed condition and it rendered a good agreement. Second, the virtual captive model test for a catamaran at low speed was conducted using the verified method. The drift test with drift angle 0-180 degrees was performed and the resulting hydrodynamic forces were compared with the trends of other ship types. Also, the pure rotating test and yaw rotating test proposed by Takashina, (1986) were conducted. The Fourier coefficients obtained from the measured hydrodynamic force were compared with those of other ship types. Conversely, pure sway test and pure yaw test also were simulated to obtain added mass coefficients. By analyzing these results, the hydrodynamic coefficients of the catamaran at low speed were estimated. Finally, the maneuvering simulation in low speed conditions was performed by using the estimated hydrodynamic coefficients.

  • The purpose of this study is development of dry floor tile method that practically used for improving wet method's defect, with resin mat design. PE resin used mat which satisfied with bonding test, waterproof test, resistance to chemical attack test, resistance to impact test and freezing and thawing test is confirmed the basic property.
