Design of Logging Infrastructure in Consideration of the Dynamically Changing Environment

  • Using forest resources involves solving complex and diverse tasks. At the same time, one of the key goals in the field is improving the quality of forest infrastructure. This direction requires adequate mathematical and economic justification. Moreover, creating an effective infrastructure will not only increase the accessibility and usage volumes of wood and other forest resources, but also contribute to the development of continuous and sustainable forest management. The existing practice of making decisions in terms of the organizational and technological aspects of logging, based on the personal experiences of managers or leading specialists in enterprises, hinders the achievement of constant optimal efficiency. The paper presents results that are a continuation of the research cycle of the authors' team in the fields of optimization and algorithmization of various logging processes. The focus of the study lies in the processing and movement of wood resources, the most valuable products of the investigated groups of enterprises. To this end, the paper presents a developed algorithm for determining an effective technological chain of transportation in logging operations, and for improving loading and unloading processing operations under dynamic natural and production conditions. This algorithm serves as the methodological basis for designing logging infrastructure in a dynamically changing environment.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 피지컬 컴퓨팅 플랫폼인 아두이노와 앱 인벤터를 대한민국의 자랑스런 전통 과학기술의 유산이자 세계 최초의 돌격용 철갑전선(鐵甲戰船)으로 평가되는 거북선의 모형과 융합하여, 공업계열 특성화고 학생들이 실제적인 경험을 통해 과학기술적인 지식뿐만 아니라, 그와 더불어 역사 문화유산에 대한 인식과 가치 또한 제고해 볼 수 있는 피지컬 컴퓨팅 플랫폼 기반의 모형 거북선을 개발하는데 있다. 이 연구를 통하여 얻은 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 아두이노 기반의 메인 컨트롤러 설계 및 제작은 전기 전자 제어와 관련된 하드웨어 및 소프트웨어 지식을 익히고, 아두이노와 전기전자 부품간의 기본적인 상호특성과 성능을 확인하는데 도움이 된다. 둘째, 회로도 및 패턴도 설계, 기술적 프로그래밍, 모바일 앱 개발 등의 과정을 통해 회로 설계 능력, 논리적 사고력과 문제해결력을 향상시키는데 효율적이다. 셋째, 피지컬 컴퓨팅 플랫폼 기반의 모형 거북선 개발을 통해 과학기술과 인문학적 소양을 통합적으로 함양할 수 있는 기초적인 토대를 마련하였다.

  • `Early adopters,` a term first used by Everett Rogers in 1957, refers to people who are among the first to try a new product and like to evaluate the product for others. Early adopters in the digital age of the 21st century, greatly influence others by exchanging information on products and writing product reviews on Internet boards. Technological products have recently been released in the fashion world to become important fashion items, and early adopters are active buyers of these products. The purpose of this study is to examine the values and characteristics of early adopters as consumers of technological fashion products, and present a standard for designing fashion products in the future. This study was based on documentary research, Internet research and in-depth interviews. Documentary research was carried out to examine the lifestyles, characteristics and consumption habits of early adopters. Internet research was done to understand the tendencies of Korean early adopters, and a total of 18 websites were studied in 7 product categories. The subjects of in-depth interviews were 6 people who were either webmasters or members of early adopter-related websites. IT field early adopters tended to pursue new technologies, and fashion early adopters placed importance on how well a person could express their own style. New, unique, useful and pretty were the key words to describe the tendencies of early adopters, and fashion early adopters preferred the latest contemporary styles. Interviewees placed most importance on price, design and function of products. Since IT related products are continuously being added on to clothes and becoming fashion products themselves, further research on technology-related fashion design would be significant.

아이디어박스를 활용한 기술인문융합형 캡스톤디자인 모형개발 (Model Development of Capstone Design for Technological and Humanities Convergence by Using Idea Box)

  • In many universities, the Capstone Design course aims to educate creativity, teamwork and leadership, and ultimately aims to cultivate practitioners with practical ability required in the industry. Since the introduction of capstone design as a regular course, it has spread not only to engineering but also to the humanities and social sciences. A typical capstone design is usually carried out within a limited range of schedules and budgets within the scope of a major and a subject. In the case of a special-purpose capstone design, it is necessary to find out excellent items aiming at start-up and commercialization at an early stage, It contributes to the achievement of international convention participation, start-up and commercialization. The teaching styles of capstone design such as multidisciplinary capstone design, fusion capstone design, and global capstone design are developed and operated in various ways. Depending on each type, objectives, curriculum, scope of participation, operation method, performance and so on. In the case of capstone design, it is contributing to increase the achievements such as participation in international conventions, establishment of business and commercialization by early detection of excellent items aiming at start-up and commercialization, development and establishment of support process. Technological and Humanities Convergence Capstone Design Moel is named as the process of designing a four-level idea called "Idea Factory-based Technology-Humannities Fusion Capstone Design Process", and it is used to generate ideas, elaborate ideas, advanced ideas, and commercialization.

조직 내 4차 산업혁명의 기술 적용에 관한 연구 (The Technology Application of Fourth Industrial Revolution in Organization)

  • The purpose of this study is to empirically examine organizational change for a technological application of the fourth industrial revolution. The theoretical background of this study utilized organizational change management, the fourth industrial revolution, technological innovation, and voluntary acceptance. This research method used structural equations, cluster analysis, and analysis of variance. According to the results of the study, the organizational implement system, organizational leadership, and organizational operating system provided a positive effect on the voluntary technology acceptance of organization members. The voluntary technology acceptance provided a positive effect on the effectiveness of individual task innovation. However, organizational institutionalization among the independent variables did not affect voluntary acceptance. All independent variables except the organizational institutionalization had a partial mediating effect in the mediating effect verification. Meanwhile, The three groups by the cluster analysis were classified as new technology apathy, preference, and anxiety groups, and differences appeared among groups in the importance of organizational change variables. The organizational implement system in the technology apathy group and the organizational operating system in the technology anxiety group have a positive effect on voluntary technology acceptance. The technology preference group shows that a positive effect on organizational leadership and a negative effect on organizational institutionalization for voluntary technology acceptance. This study analyzed the technology application of the fourth industrial revolution in the organization based on the theory of organizational change. There has been reexamined the organizational change theory based on the new technology acceptance by the change of external environment in the fourth industrial revolution and the importance of technology innovation. As a practical implication, firms that are interested in a new technology of the fourth industrial revolution should prioritize preparing an implementation system when designing organizational changes.

중학생들의 성별에 따른 다중지능과 기술적 문제해결력과의 관계 (The Relation between Gender and Multiple Intelligence and Technological Problem Solving Ability of Middle School Students)

  • 이 연구에서는 학습자 개인의 다양한 지적 능력을 파악할 수 있는 다중지능이 성별에 따라 기술적 문제해결력에 어떠한 영향을 미치고 있는가를 조사하여, 성별에 따른 기술적 문제해결력의 차이를 줄이기 위한 방안을 제시하고자 한다. 연구의 대상은 광역시 이상에 소재한 중학교 3학년 833(남학생 423, 여학생 410)명이었고, 문용린(2001)과 1998년 CRESST에서 개발한 도구를 사용하였다. 연구의 결과 첫째, 신체운동지능, 논리수학지능, 자연친화지능, 음악지능, 대인관계지능, 자기성찰지능은 남학생과 여학생간에 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 둘째, 기술적 문제해결력의 자기조절성향과 문제해결전략에서 남학생과 여학생간에 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 셋째, 자기조절성향에 영향을 미치는 다중지능으로 남학생은 논리수학지능, 언어지능, 자기성찰지능, 자연친화지능, 여학생은 논리수학지능, 자기성찰지능, 자연친화지능, 언어지능으로 밝혀졌다. 넷째, 문제해결력에 영향을 미치는 다중지능으로 남학생은 논리수학지능, 음악지능, 신체운동지능, 여학생은 언어지능과 음악지능으로 밝혀졌다. 다섯째, 지식 개념도 작성에 영향을 미치는 다중지능으로는 남학생과 여학생 모두 논리수학지능으로 밝혀졌다. 연구의 결과 나타난 성별에 따른 차이를 줄이기 위해, 초 중등학교 교육과정 개발에 다중지능과 직 간접적으로 관련된 분야를 집중적으로 개발할 수 있도록 고려한다면 다중지능의 차이에 의해서 발생되는 학업성취도 차이를 어느 정도 극복할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

  • The assemblability is determined by the structure of product and the relationship between composing parts and machining parts. In this paper, the bolt was divided into bolt-head, -shaft, -thread and -end. For higher assemblability in bolting process, it was analyzed the geometric and technological characteristics of bolts were analysed regarding pre- and in-assembly process. And this paper presents the knowledge-based expert system to assist for designer in the processor of designing bolt for easier assembly. The developed expert system for supporting bolt design assemblability which is named as BDFA SYSTEM consists of two system such as "BOLT DESIGN SYSTEM" which provide feasible assembly bolt design to designer and "EVALUATION SYSTEM" which provide assembly evaluation to alternative of bolt design.

기술연관분석을 통한 중소기업형 전략적 기술개발과제의 우선순위 도출 (Selection of the Strategic R&D Field Satisfying SMEs' Specific Needs by Technology Relevance/Cluster Analysis)

  • With limited resources, proper allocation of the national R&D budget is very crucial matter for reinforcing the national competence, and the importance of selecting strategic R&D fields have been increasingly emphasized by technology policy-makers and CTOs. This paper deals with technology relevance/cluster analysis, which measures technological dependency and relevancy among technologies, and how it can be used for selecting the strategic R&D fields especially satisfying SMEs(small and medium enterprises)' specific needs. As a result of this study, technology-product tree composed of 7 major technology fields, 22 clusters, 41 groups, 335 core-need technologies and hundreds of related business items are produced that can be used for designing SMEs' R&D/business portfolio as well as R&D investment decision-making of the Ministry of Small and Medium Business Administration.

1,700 V급 Static Induction Thyristor 소자 최적화 (Optimization of 1,700 V Static Induction Thyristor Devices)

  • The designing approaches with consideration offabrication process technologies for high-frequency, high-powered, silicon-based static induction thyristors (SITH) are presented. The effects of doping concentration and thickness on the I-V characteristics and power performance of the devices are discussed. The dependence of SITH switching performances on material, geometric structure, and technological parameters isexamined by using two-dimensional simulations. Thick-epitaxy technology is found to be one of the most critical steps in realizing the proposed structure and switching times, $t_{off}$, of SITH, which may be reduced to below ${\sim}0.26{\mu}s$ for the proposed 1,700 V SITH devicesafter optimization.

  • Due to economical or technological reasons. humans are responsible for inspection functions in many cases. Humans. however. are rarely perfect. thus allowing non-confirming parts to be processed. As the attributes of interest or the variety of products increases. the inspection system becomes less effective because of the sensory and cognitive limitations of human inspectors. Any means that can support or aid the human inspectors is necessary to compensate for inspection difficulty. Augmented reality (AR) offers a new approach in designing an inspection system as a means to augment the cognitive capability of inspectors by providing the 3D spatial proximity between two information channels. The experimental results suggest that AR might be an effective tool that reduces inspection time without sacrificing the measuring accuracy.
