Configuration management (CM) is the process of identifying and documenting characteristics of plant structures, systems and components (SSCs), and of ensuring that changes to these characteristics are properly assessed, approved, implemented, verified and recorded. The purpose of this study is to examine regulation and technical standards developed under different concepts and level of depth for classification of nuclear SSCs as an essential prerequisite of the CM. In this context, main contents of currently adopted NSSC Notice 2016-10 are reviewed and compared with those in recently published ANSI/ANS 58.14 and IAEA SSG-30. The technical standards were prototypically used for classification of O-rings in two nuclear systems. It is found that ANSI/ANS 58.14 results in different categories taking into account specific features while IAEA SSG-30 leads to same categorization of the O-rings. Key findings will be summarized for Korean regulatory amendment in the future.

According to the NOx level requirement of annex Vl to IMO(International Maritime Organization) MARPOL 73/78, this regulation shall apply to each diesel engine with a power output of more than 130 ㎾ which is installed on a ship constructed and undergoes a major conversion on or after 1 January 2000. It is inevitable to adopt IMO standard for marine engines. Therefore, most of diesel engines which are being currently built should be tested and surveyed in accordance with the NOx technical code. In this study, various technics of NOx reduction methods were investigated for the diesel engines and the methods of NOx measuring were introduced by the new and simplified field detecting equipment. These results can be utilized for the basic design and developement of diesel engine for NOx reduction.

In this paper, we analysed the standardized techniques for radio frequency identification systems. RFID system is to carry data in suitable transponders, generally known as tags, and to retrieve data, by machinable means, at a suitable time and place to satisfy particular application needs. The paper has discussed on international standardization trends and its techniques and provided with understanding the technical regulations for activating and harmonizing internationally domestic RFID industries.

Safety of breaking facility is very important in subway safety, especially in case of subway that many people used, breaking capability is connected directly with safety and capability of vehicle. Recently, direction of subway technical development is established as passenger's convenience and agreeableness. However, we are known importance of safety in subway through Dae-gu subway incendiary case. Subway accident not happen only fire, vehicle collisions or passenger's fall to the track can happen. In this case, safety standard of breaking facilities is very important. so this paper define safety of breaking facilities and take proper that standard.

In autonomous car, significant progress has been achieved in technical aspects, but it is deadly slow to solve its various legal problems for commercialization of autonomous car. This paper surveys the road driving eligibility, a typical legal issue in autonomous car. Problems on current laws and regulations are analyzed, and some remedies are suggested. Technical development should be performed collaboratively with law and regulation revision, and understanding these legal issues would be very helpful to the engineers who develop autonomous cars.

This paper determines if mandated alcohol health information labelling could be an obstacle to international trade by discussing international trade rules affecting member nations. WTO members could use alcohol labelling rules to protect human health, reduce the consumption of alcohol and provide product information. When a member uses alcohol labelling as a technical regulation or standard, it should comply with TBT Articles 2.2 and 2.4. If a member uses some specific warning messages for their objectives, it should be considered the contribution of the measure, trade restrictiveness, and alternatives. If WTO members want to employ their own alcohol labelling schemes for addressing carcinogenicity, intoxicating effects, dependence potential, effects on children, adolescents and pregnancy, it could be a technical barrier and also create adverse effects on international trade. Therefore, the harms of alcohol are supported by scientific evidence, and for this reason, the international harmonization for alcohol labelling should be discussed openly to prevent negative effects on trade.

In this paper, we analysed the technical features and characteristics for Ship Security Alert Systems(SSAS). Due to the steady increase in incidents, and partly triggered by the events of 9/11, the International Maritime Organization (IMO) initiated an intense programme of activity, resulting in a conference on maritime security measures during December 2002. IMO SOLAS Regulation XI-2/6 applies to the following types of vessels on international voyages which include passenger ships, including high-speed passenger craft, cargo ships, including high-speed craft, of 500 gross tons and upwards and mobile offshore units. The paper has discussed on international technical trends and its characteristics and provided how to regulate for activating and harmonizing internationally domestic ships.

This study discusses what determinants are important to enter the worldwide railroad market. Survey analysis is used to decide the determinants of export in the international railroad markets. The Study finds that with price factors, non-price factors such as technological innovation and technological transference are important, too. For manufacturing, market experience and know - how, financing and supports in the government level in the areas of strategical alliance and regulation are essential. For non-tariff factors, technical risk and characteristics of markets are considered.
