유아교육기관 교사의 교수효능감과 교실환경이 유아의 또래놀이 상호작용에 미치는 영향: 교사-유아 상호작용의 매개효과 (The Effect of Teacher's Teaching-Efficacy and Classroom Environment on Peer-Play Interaction: Mediation Effect of Teacher-Child Interaction)

  • This study examines the mediation effect of teacher-child interactions in the process of the impact of teacher's teaching-efficacy on childhood education institutions and classroom environment on peer-play interactions. We used data from 970 children aged between 49 and 55 months and 970 homeroom teachers from the fifth Korean Child Panel (2012) of the Korea Institute of Child Care and Education. The model fitness was excellent after data were statistically analyzed with model of structure to testify the relationship and effect among teaching efficacy, classroom environment, teacher-child interactions, and peer-play interactions. First, the analysis also showed that the teacher's teaching efficacy did not influence peer-play interactions directly, but gave an indirect effect on the peer-play interactions with the mediation of the teacher-child interactions. Second, the classroom environment directly and indirectly influenced the peer-play interactions with the mediation of the teacher-child interactions. Third, the variable of teacher-child interactions was fully effective as a mediating variable in the process of the teaching efficacy and classroom environment influence on teacher-child interactions. Teaching efficacy and classroom environment influenced the peer-play interactions through the mediation of the teacher-child interactions. The significance of mediation effect of the teacher-child interactions was verified through a bootstrapping method.

보육교사의 자아탄력성과 이직의도간의 관계에서 직무스트레스의 매개효과 (The Mediating Effect of Job Stress on Child Care Teacher's Resilience and Turnover Intention)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between ego-resilience, job stress, and turnover intention of child care teachers. Methods: The collected data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation, and structural equation models using SPSS 23 and AMOS 22. The effects of a child care teacher's resilience on turnover intention as a result of job stress was indirectly evaluated by bootstrapping. Results: First, all sub-factors of a child care teacher's resilience were negatively correlated with job stress and turnover intention. Job stress was positively correlated with turnover intention. Second, job stress levels of child care teachers showed a full mediating role in the relationship between resilience and turnover intention. Conclusion/Implications: High job stress levels of child care teachers had a negative effect on the daycare field, with significant effects of job stress on resilience and turnover intention.

보육교사가 지각하는 학부모와 의사소통의 어려움이 영유아와 상호작용에 미치는 영향: 보육교사의 자아존중감의 매개효과 (Child Care Teachers' Difficulties Communicating with Parents and How It Affects Teacher-Child Interactions: The Mediating Effects of Teachers' Self-Esteem)

  • Objective: This study examined the mediating effects of child care teachers' self-esteem in the relationship between teachers' difficulties communicating with parents and teacher-child interactions. Methods: A total of 450 child care teachers answered questionnaires based on three research variables. Data were analyzed using SEM. Results: First, child care teachers' difficulties communicating with parents had a direct effect on teacher-child interactions. That is, child care teachers who experienced more difficulties communicating with parents showed more negative teacher-child interactions. Second, child care teachers' difficulties communicating with parents had an indirect effect on teacher-child interactions through teachers' self-esteem. In other words, when child care teachers experienced more difficulties communicating with parents, their self-esteem was lower, which led to increased negative teacher-child interactions. Conclusion/Implications: This study highlights the importance of effective communication between child care teachers and parents. In addition, these findings contribute to a better understanding of the mechanism by which child care teachers' difficulties communicating with parents influence teacher-child interactions.

교사-유아관계와 유아의 사회적 능력과의 관계 (Relationship of Children with Their Teachers and Children's Social Competence)

  • This study was designed to examine the relationships between three distinct dimensions of teacher-child relationship(closeness, conflict, and dependency) and various aspects of children's social competence. The subjects were 101 children at their ages of five to six years old (56 keys, 45 girls) in Jeonju city. The data were collected through preschool teachers by using self-administered questionnaire method. The results showed that teacher-child relationship was significantly associated with their social competence in preschool. Specifically, closeness in children's relationship with their teachers was fouled to be strongly correlated with children's social competence, white conflict between children and their teachers was negatively related with children's social competence. Finally, children's dependency on their Coachers was associated with children's problem behaviors.

유아교사의 전문성발달 수준에 따른 유아의 문제행동인식 및 문제행동지도전략 (The Cognition and Strategy of Preschool Teacher About Child's Behavior Problem According to the Level of Teacher's Professional Development)

  • This study examined the relationships between the cognitions and strategies of child's problem behaviors depending on the level of preschool teacher's professional development. Participants were 176 preschool teachers in B Metropolitan city. The teachers completed rating scales to measure teacher's professional development, the perception of child's problem behaviors, and teacher's guiding strategies for child's problem behaviors. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, one-way ANOVA, and Pearson correlations. Results showed that there were different cognitions of child's problem behaviors depending on the level of teacher's professional development. Secondly, child's problem behavior guiding strategies by the level of teacher's professional development were significant differences in the positive prevention strategy I, II, and the positive reaction strategy. Finally, there were somewhat different relationship between the cognition of child's problem behaviors and the problem behavior guiding strategies according to the level of teacher's professional development. Findings are discussed in terms of the importance of teacher's professional development in the context of teacher's education planning for teacher's guiding strategy about preschooler's problem behavior.

남녀 유아의 수줍음과 또래괴롭힘 피해 간 관계에 대한 교사-유아 관계의 중재효과 (The Moderating Effect of Teacher-Child Relationship on the Relation between Child's Shyness and Peer Victimization)

  • 본 연구는 취학 전 유아를 대상으로 남녀 유아의 수줍음 특성과 또래괴롭힘 피해 간 관계에서 교사-유아 관계의 중재적 역할이 어떠한지를 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 B광역시에 소재한 5개 유아교육기관의 유치반 9곳에 재원 중인 유아 200명(남아 97명, 여아 101명; 평균연령 6.24세)와 그들의 담임교사를 대상으로 하였다. 유아의 수줍음, 교사-유아 관계, 또래괴롭힘 피해를 알아보기 위해 교사용 질문지를 사용하였고, 자료분석을 위해 t검증, 적률상관분석 및 위계적 중회귀분석을 남녀별로 실시하였다. 연구결과, 남녀 유아의 수줍음 특성, 교사-유아 관계는 또래괴롭힘 피해와 유의한 관련성을 보였다. 또한 위계적 회귀분석 결과 남아의 경우 수줍음 특성과 교사-유아 관계 간 상호작용 효과가 유의하게 나타나, 남아의 수줍음 특성은 또래괴롭힘 피해와 관련되지만 교사-유아 간 친밀관계 수준이 낮고, 교사-유아 간 갈등관계 수준이 높은 경우에만 유의하였다. 즉, 남아의 수줍음 특성이 또래괴롭힘 피해와 관련되는데 있어, 교사-남아 간 친밀관계는 보호요인으로, 교사-남아 간 갈등관계는 위험요인으로써 중재적 역할을 하였다. 이는 성에 따라 다소 차이는 있지만 수줍음 특성이 있는 유아의 또래괴롭힘 피해 경험을 예방하는데 있어 교사역할의 중요성을 시사해 주었다.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the mediating effects of young children's shyness on the relationship between teacher-children relationship and young children's social competence. The subjects of the study were 270 children from three years to five years old and their teachers in Busan. Frequency, t-test, Cronbach ${\alpha}$, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and hierarchial regression were used for data analysis. The results were as follows: first, teacher-children intimacy showed positive correlation with the young children's social competence. Teacher-children conflict showed negative correlation with the young children's social competence. Second, teacher-children intimacy showed negative correlation with the young children's shyness. Teacher-children conflict showed positive correlation with the young children's shyness. Third, young children's shyness showed negative correlation with the young children's social competence. Fourth, young children's shyness had partial mediating effects on the relationship between teacher-children intimacy and young children's sociability. Young children's shyness had partial mediating effects on the relationship between teacher-children intimacy and young children's popularity and leadership. Young children's shyness had partial mediating effects on the relationship between teacher- children conflict and young children's sociability. Young children's shyness had partial mediating effects on the relationship between teacher-children conflict and young children's popularity and leadership.

보육시설장의 리더십과 보육교사의 임파워먼트와의 관계 (The Relationship between the Leadership of Child Care Center Director and the Empowerment of Child Care Teachers)

  • This study sought to determine the mediating effect of followership in the relationship between the leadership of child care center director and empowerment as perceived by child care teachers. Data were collected from 294 child care teachers in child care centers located in four cities labeled A, B and C through a structured questionnaire. To describe data the Pearson's correlation coefficient and multiple regression analysis were computed. The level of child care center director's leadership which child care teacher perceived was 3.64 points in a scale of 5 points, child care teacher's empowerment was 3.50 points in a scale of 5 points and followership was 3.30 points in a scale of 5 points. COMMENT A positive correlations were found between leadership, empowerment and followership. Followership was shown to be a mediating variable between child care teachers' perceptions of leadership and empowerment. Furthermore, results also showed a strong relationship between the leadership of child-care center director and the child-care teachers' followership and empowerment, thus implying that the child-care teachers' followership is very important to increase the empowerment.

교사가 인식한 영아-교사 관계와 놀이 시 나타난 영아-교사 및 영아-또래 상호작용 (Teacher Recognized Toddler-teacher Relationships Compared with Observed Toddler-teacher and Toddler-peer Interactions in Play)

  • This study examined how infant-teacher relationships perceived by teachers related to observed toddler-teacher and toddler-peer interactions in play. Participants were 57 2-year-old toddlers and their 8 teachers. Toddler-teacher perceived relationships were examined by questionnaire toddler-teacher and toddler-toddler interactions were observed and recorded during play. Data were analyzed by correlation. Results were : (1) the perceived relationships of toddlers to multiple teachers in the classroom were very similar. (2) The pattern of interactions between toddlers and teachers was similar to that of interactions between toddlers and peers. (3) The more positive the toddler-teacher perceived relationship, the more positive the observed interactions between the children and teachers and between children and their peers.

예비보육교사의 실습 경험에 관한 과정 분석 (A Process Analysis on the Experiences of Preliminary Child Care Teachers in Child Care Practice)

  • 본 연구는 예비보육교사의 보육실습에 대한 심도 깊은 연구를 위해 질적연구방법을 사용하였다. 본 연구의 결과 첫째, 실습 전 예비보육교사는 자신이 이중역할을 수행할 것으로 인식하였다. 실습지도교사와 불평등한 수직적 관계를 이루고, 아동에게는 교사와 친구의 중간자이며, 시설장은 중재자, 실습 동료는 동반자로 인식하였다. 둘째, 실습 중 예비보육교사는 삼중 역할을 수행하였으며, 실습지도교사는 보육인 양성가로서의 역할수행을 한 것으로 나타났다. 예비보육교사는 실습지도교사와 상부상조적인 상호작용, 아동에게는 교사와 친구의 중간자, 시설장은 중요한 지지자, 실습동료와 불편한 경쟁자로서의 관계를 이루고 있다. 셋째, 실습 후 예비보육교사는 만족감과 아쉬움을 가지고 있었으며, 교육과정에서 이론과 실습의 균형을 강조하였다. 본 연구는 보육실습에 실습의 주체가 되는 예비보육교사 보육실습 요구를 파악함으로써 보육실습의 질 향상을 위한 개선 방향을 제시하는 것에 의의가 있다.
