하기(夏期) 재배(栽培)에 알맞는 여름 느타리 버섯의 선발(選拔) (Selection of Pleurotus sajor-caju as Suitable Species for Cultivation under Summer Climatic Conditions in Korea)

  • 하기재배(夏期栽培)에 알맞는 느타리버섯은 동남아세아(東南亞細亞) 및 인도(印度)에 자생(自生)하는 느타리버섯(Pleurotus spp.) 6균주(菌株)를 수집(蒐集)하여, 볏짚배지(培地)에서의 균사생장(菌絲生長) 정도(程度), 발용온도(發茸溫度) 및 여름철 기후하(氣候下)에서 자실체(字實體) 생산력(生産力) 등(等)을 조사(調査)하여 선발(選拔) 하였다. 새로선발(選拔)된 Pleurotus sajor-caju ( Fr.) Sing. (ASI 2070)은 시험(試驗)된 균주(菌株) 중(中) 볏짚배지(培地)에서 가장 양호한 균사생장(菌絲生長)을 보였고, 자실체수량(子實體收量)은 $13.7kg/m^2$으로 높았다. 발용온도범위(發茸溫度範圍)는 $10{\sim}35^{\circ}C$ 였으며 최적온도(最適溫度)는 $20{\sim}25^{\circ}C$였다. 이와같은 시험결과(試驗結果)는 농가재배(農家栽培)로 실증(實證)하였으며 이버섯을 "여름느타리버섯"으로 명명(命名)하였다.

Utilizing the grazing effect of fresh water clams (Unio douglasiae) for the remediation of algal bloom during summer

  • The occurrence of 'algal bloom', caused by the mass proliferation of phytoplankton, causes serious problems in streams and lakes in Korea. Therefore, in this study, the phytoplankton filter-feeding trait of Unio douglasiae, a type of freshwater clam, was used to reduce the algal bloom in outdoor water tanks during the summer. This involved the construction of a U. douglasiae cultivation apparatus, wherein 1,000 clams were divided into 8 rectangular baskets arranged in the shape of an empty square. The control tank was manufactured in exactly the same shape within the water tank, but without the addition of clams. The algal bloom-reducing effect of U. douglasiae was confirmed by the measurement of (and comparing between) the water quality at the center and periphery of the test and control cultivation apparatus. Water quality measurements included the measurement of water temperature, pH, turbidity, dissolved oxygen (DO) content, and chlorophyll-${\alpha}$ concentrations; the water quality was measured twice a month between June and November 2014.The results of these analyses did not show a significant difference in water quality (temperature, pH, turbidity, DO) between the center and periphery of the test and control tanks. However, the chlorophyll-${\alpha}$ concentration was observed to be much lower at the center of the test tank compared to that at the center and periphery of the control tank, as well as at the periphery of the test tank. This was believed to be a result of the U. douglasiae surrounding the center of the test tank, which prevented the influx of plankton from the periphery. Accordingly, the results of these analyses suggest the possibility that U. douglasiae cultivation could reduce the proliferation of algal blooms in lakes and streams during the summer. In particular, these results indicate possible improvements in U. douglasiae activity (reduction in algal blooms) by their effective arrangement in the water bodies.

산느타리버섯 재배특성 및 기호도 조사 (Cultural characteristics and consumer acceptance of Pleurotus pulmonarius)

  • Pleurotus pulmonarius usually grows on the dead wood of deciduous trees in mid summer to early fall. The pileus color is white to tan and fruiting body is generally smaller than P. ostreatus. This study was carried out to investigate the characteristics of cultivation and consumer acceptance of P. pulmonarius. The period of incubation and primordial occurrence were required about 33days, 5days in bottle cultivation repectively, and the yield was 170g/850cc bottle. In bed cultivation, the period of primordial occurrence was similar to that of bottle cultivation and the yields was $35.7{\sim}46.2kg/3.3m^2$. Taste and favor of P. pulmonarius were superior to P. oostreatus., but the appearance, color and shape, was slightly inferior to P. ostreatus.

  • 여름철 온실 온도환경의 효율적인 제어는 온실의 주년재배와 고도활용을 위한 가장 중요한 당면과제이다. 따라서 본 연구는 우리나라 31개 지역의 기후자료를 분석하여 고온기 온실의 기온관리에 있어서 목표 온도 유지를 위한 지역별 적정 최대환기횟수를 결정함으로서 온실의 기온관리를 위한 기본적인 자료를 제공하고자 실시하였다. 그 결과 여름철 유리온실의 설정온도 유지를 위한 강제환기는 40% 차광 유리 온실에서 최대환기횟수 1회/min로 35$^{\circ}C$ 유지가 가능하였으나 환기만에 의한 한계 최고실온 3$0^{\circ}C$ 유지는 불가능하였다.

  • In an effort to make it possible to cultivate Coptis japonica in Korea, the environmental and ecological conditions allowing the wild growth and distribution of Coptis sp. in Japan were investigated. The environmental conditions of the culture yard and the culture methods of C. japonica were also investigated. From these studies, it was concluded that the cultivation of C. japonica requires a well-drained sandy soil, $pH\;4.5{\sim}5.5$, which is facing North or Northwest. The area suitable for the cultivation of C. japonica should have rainfall of $1,000{\sim}1,500mm$ per year, be covered with snow for $30{\sim}60$ days in the winter, and be blocked $40{\sim}70%$, of the sun shine. These findings suggest that in korea the cultivation of C. japonica may be possible in the areas ranging from Sock-cho to Kang-neung, Mt. Odae, Mt. Taebaek and Mt. Sobaek where is chill and much moisturous in summer.

  • This study was performed to find an efficient method to overcome extremely high temperature within greehhouse in summer season. The actual states of practical use for greenhouse in hot summer season were investigated. About 21.6% of the investigated greenhouse farms were no cultivation, and most greenhouse farms were cultivating under the very inferior environment . To examine thermal enviornment of greenhouse according to cooling or assistant cooling , greenhouses were treated with natural ventilation, shading, roof sprinkling , and evaporative cooling with air cool fan. Shading and operating air col fan showed a drop in temperature of 3.8∼4.2$^{\circ}C$ as compared with natural ventilation, and most greenhouse air temperatures were maintained below 35$^{\circ}C$.

  • 하절기 하우스 온도환경의 효율적 제어는 온실의 주년재배와 고도 활용을 위한 가장 중요한 당면과제이다. 본 연구는 여름철 지역별 하우스 증발냉각을 위한 설계 기준안으로서 9개 지역(서울, 서산, 대전, 부산, 제주, 광주, 대구, 전주, 진주)의 VETH 선도를 작성하여 제시하였다.

  • Rice straw management and winter crop cultivation are crucial components for the accurate estimation of paddy methane emissions. Field-based extensive investigation of paddy organic matter management requires enormous efforts however it becomes more feasible as drone technology advances. The objectives of this study were to identify paddy fields of straw application and winter crop cultivation using drone images and to apply for the estimation of yearly methane emission. Total 35 sites of over 150ha in area were selected nationwide as the study areas. Drone images of the study sites were taken twice during summer and winter in 2018 through 2019: Summer images were used to identify paddy cultivation areas, while winter images for straw and winter crop practices. Drone-image-based identification results were used to estimate paddy methane emission and compared with conventional method. As the result, mean areas for paddy, straw application and winter crop cultivation were 118.9ha, 12.0ha, and 11.3ha, respectively. Overall rice straw application rate were greater in Gyeonggi-do(20%) and Chungcheongnam-do(12%), while winter crop cultivation was greatest in Gyeongsangnam-do(30%) and Jeolla-do(27%). Yearly mean methane emission was estimated to be 226.2kg CH4/ha/yr in this study and about 32% less when compared to 331.8kg CH4/ha/yr estimated with the conventional method. This was primarily because of the lower rice straw application rate observed in this study, which was less than quarter the rate of 55.62% used for the conventional method. This indicates the necessity to use more accurate statistics of rice straw application as well as winter crop practices into paddy methane emission estimation. Thus it is recommended to further study to link drone technology with satellite image analysis in order to identify organic management practices at a paddy field level over extensive agricultural area.
