In this paper, I theoretically considered joining and separating activities and revisited the textbooks from 7 countries and Korean mathematics textbooks from 5th revised curriculum to 2015 revised curriculum to find implication for the treatment of 0 in the joining and separating activities. The 'joining' has definition and properties similar to addition, but the 'separating'is difficult to define and is not considered to have properties similar to subtraction. In the sense of computation, joining and separating can be seen as' part-part-to-whole' situations, but are just part of the addition and subtraction situations. The analysis of textbooks from 7 counties showed that Singapore and Malaysia textbooks already studied zero and then included it in joining and separating activities, but other countries did not include it as joining and separating activities. The textbooks of South Korea have consistently suggested not to include zero, but teacher's guide has shown that there is a little consistency in the treatment of zero. As a conclusion, I suggested that it was necessary to propose a proper context of the situation in order to introduce joining and separating without including 0 in terms of student level and to propose that a more consistent presentation of zero handling in the teaching in the teacher's guide.

Havruta is the best teaching and learning method for developing the process of thinking, and it is a method of education centered on a range of student activities. This study examined the effects of adult learning nursing education using the Havruta learning method on the critical thinking disposition, learning commitment, and learning satisfaction. Data collection was carried out from September to December, 2017 in 96 second grade nursing college students attending a university in U city. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, ${\chi}^2-test$, t-test, and two-way repeated ANOVA using the SPSS WIN 23.0 program. The critical thinking disposition, learning commitment, and learning satisfaction were similar in the experimental group, who performed the adult nursing education using the Havruta learning method, and the control group. On the other hand, after the adult nursing education using the Havruta learning method, the critical thinking tendency (md=.14, p=.045), learning commitment (md=.27, p=.025), learning satisfaction (md=.30, p=.031) increased significantly. Therefore, adult nursing education using the Havruta learning method is an effective program to improve the critical thinking disposition, learning commitment, and learning satisfaction of nursing college students.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of stress, social support, and resilience on the university life as predictors of college life adjustment. For this purpose, the questionnaires were administered to 145 college students in Busan, and correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis, and mediation analysis were conducted using SPSS 18.0. The main results are as follows. First, the significant factors influencing college life adjustment were stress (B = -.351, p <.01), social support(B = -.210, p <.05) resilience (B = .355, p < .01), 30.6% explanatory power, and resilience was the most influential factor. Among the sub-factors of stress, interpersonal stress and academic stress has a negative effect. In addition, friendship support had a statistically significant effect on social support, and resilience subscale was life satisfaction and cause analysis ability. In addition, stress was found to be partly mediated in the relationship between social support and college life adjustment. Based on this study, the strategies for lowering the stress, improving the resilience of the university students in order to improve the college life adaptation were provided.

Chosun regime, when it replaced the predecessor of Koryo, had to create political ideological system for new integration of the people. The new system, based on Confucianism, replaced religious values of Buddhism with educational ones. In this educational-ideological system, educational objects were mostly limited in character education's. Its goal was 'restoration of good nature'. For the principal agent of educational process, teacher had the initiative. These traits of educational system can be understood as an 'nature-unfolding perspective' or 'formal discipline perspective'. Moreover, the idea of 'teacher shall be served like prince' seems to be ground of political authoritarianism. In this respects, political traits of traditional education system can be restraining elements for developing independent individuality and free citizenship among Korean people. However, traditional teacher was not only authoritarian trainer. As 'a follower of truth and good', he was equal to his disciples. Teacher learned by teaching them. Students could be colleagues of their teacher. And the main traits of traditional education, focusing character development and community consciousness, are still important, in particular, to modern Korean educational and societal environment wanting in humane and participating citizenship.
The purpose of this study is to analyze leading teachers' opinions on key competencies and subject competencies presented in the 2015 revised national curriculum and to draw implications for competency-based curriculum development and implementation. The research findings show that leading teachers are generally positive about the introduction of key competencies, subject competencies setting and its feasibility and recognize that the key competencies are highly related to the subject competencies of each subject. However, it is judged that the key competencies and subject competencies are not embodied well in every aspect of the curriculum documents. They also recognize that in the practice of competency education, supporting the development of teachers' ability to conduct student-centered classes in a culture that enables voluntary research efforts of the teacher community can be the biggest issue rather than external support such as development of competency-centered textbooks or consulting and supervision. Finally, we propose the need for support and policy that enable voluntary efforts for interdisciplinary cooperation and strengthening teacher capacity rather than developing competency-centered textbooks; specification of competency education in educational content, pedagogical methods and assessment; reconsideration of subject competencies setting; maintaining the relationship between key competency and items that guide educational goals.
