This study was conducted to investigate the connections between life stress and smartphone addiction of nursing college students. The subjects included nursing college students in some areas. Data were collected in November and December, 2018 from a total of 240 subjects. Collected data were subjected to frequency, percentage, t-test, ${\chi}^2$-test, and ANOVA analyses to identify differences in smartphone addiction level and stress characteristics according to general characteristics. Correlations between smartphone addiction and stress characteristics were investigated by Pearson's correlation analysis, and factors influencing smartphone addiction were examined by hierarchical multiple regression analysis. The findings showed that independent variables had explanatory powers of 14.8% and 32.7% in Models 1 and 2, respectively. The study examined differences in smartphone addiction level according to the general characteristics of the subjects and found that female college students had a higher level of smartphone addiction than their male counterparts. The smartphone addiction level was high in those who were not satisfied with college life, used a smartphone for five hours or more a day, and spent many hours on SNS. Evaluation of differences in stress characteristics according to their general characteristics revealed female college students scored higher for stress characteristics. The means of the stress characteristics were also high for those who were not satisfied with college life, used a smartphone for many hours, and had a high risk of smartphone addiction. In conclusion, female gender, hours of smartphone usage and SNS, academic stress, and value stress were important factors influencing the smartphone addiction of nursing college students. These findings indicate the need to reinforce a stress management program for nursing college students and thus provide them with multifaceted support for stress management.

Management of perimenstrual discomfort could be an effective strategy for women's health promotion. This study was designed to develop and test the nursing intervention program for the reduction of the perimenstrual discomfort. The data were collected from a group of 76 female university students (34 in the intervention group, 42 in the control group) during November 20, 1997 and March 10, 1998. Measurements were taken concerning perimenstrual discomfort, self care behavior, and perimenstrual discomfort from both groups, at pre and post intervention. Intervention program involved education, support, counseling, and relaxation training, via individual and group levels over a twelve-week period. Listed are the summarized results : 1. The intervention group had more knowledge con corning perimenstrual discomfort(t=2.290, p=.025), self care behavior(t=3.198, p=.000), and lower perimenstrual discomfort score (t=-4.446, p=.000) than the control group at post intervention. 2. The intervention group showed an enhancement on the knowledge on perimenstrual discomport (t=2.35, p=.025), and decreased the perimenstrual discomfort score(t=-7.36, p=.000). However change of self care behavior was not significant during the intervention. According to this study a developed nursing intervention program is effective for reduction of the perimenstrual discomfort. For a future research, it is necessary that experiments concerning menstruation, and a correlational study of perimenstrual discomfort and stress ill be performed.

Purpose: This study was designed to construct a structural model for explaining mental health status in middle - aged women. Methods: The data was collected by self - reported questionnaires from 206 middle - aged women in Seoul. Data analysis was done with the SAS pc program for descriptive statistics and a PC - LISREL Program for finding the best fit model which assumes causal relationships among variables. Results: The overall fit of the hypothetical model to the data was good, but paths and variables of the model were modified by considering theoretical implications and statistical significances of parameter estimates. Thus it was modified by excluding 3 paths, The modified model showed was good fit to the data($x^2=177.55$, p=.00), GFI=0.908, AGFI=0.860, RMR=0.013, NFI=0.972, NNFI=0.982). Perceived stress, anger expression method, and self -esteem were found to have direct effects on mental health status in middle - aged women. These predictive variables of mental health status explained $66.6\%$ of the model. Conclusion: Programs to enhance mental health status in middle - aged women should include stress management skill, anger expression skill, and self -esteem enhancement skills to be effective.
Objectives: This study was conducted to identify health-promoting behaviors and related factors by type of residence between two groups of college students: those who live in dormitories and those who commute from home. Methods: We used the data from 2,287 students (870 male, 1417 female) from 14 colleges in Daegu and Kyungpook areas and compared health-promoting practice scores, general characteristics, health environment, and parental support. Multiple regression analysis was performed with health-promoting practice scores as a dependent variable. Results: Dormitory residents presented significantly lower health-promoting practice scores than commuters in both gender. Multiple regression analysis showed that the factors associated with health-promoting behaviors were health environment (p<0.05) and parental influence/support (p<0.01) for male dormitory residents. For female dormitory residents interest in health(p<0.05), stress(p<0.05), and parental influence/support(p<0.01) were associated. Conclusions: Systematic development of health education programs would be needed for the practice of health promotion behavior of college dormitory students with the help of environmental and institutional support. We suggest a program for stress management, smoking, health behavior, and alcohol and a parental program to increase contact with their children for a positive parental influence and support.

The most predictive factors among those variables were perceived fatigue with 17.93 of odds ratio, family life satisfaction with 9.86 odds ratio, and perceived stress with 9.66 of odds ratio. Conclusion: The prevention and management of depression program development was suggested and mental health promotion program for the prevention of depression was suggested.
Recipients are an integral part of embryo transfer and they are expensive to maintain as a good recipient. Recipient management is one of the most important components in a successful embryo transfer program. Management includes selection and subsequent care of the animals. A good recipient is basically on "open" cows or heffers whose reproductive tract is capable of receiving one or two embryos and incubating it to term. Potential recipients should be always be healthy and cycling normally ranging from 18 to 23 days. A thorough veterinary examination is recommended for candidate of recipients and cattle for questionable health should be eliminated from the recipient herd. Age and size of recipients are particularly important considerations when heifers are used, because of most embryos available for transfer are from large dams and sires. Body condition can influence a recipient's production, reproduction and health. Obese and underconditioned cattle should be avoided for use. Transfer of fresh embryos especially requires precise synchronization of donors and recipients. For estrus synchronization, PGF$_2$$\alpha$ is injected twice 10 to 12 days apart and short4erm progestagen treatment is applied to potential recipient cattle by coil into vagina (PRID) or ear implant (Synchro-Mate-B). The highest pregnancy results are achieved in recipients at exact synchrony with donors or 12 to 24 hr earlier than donors. Estrus detection is a major factor in breeding efficiency. High accuracy can be achieved by use of heat mount detection alds or by obserbing cattle for 30-minute peroids 3 times daily. Assay progesterone in milk can be used to discrIminate between pregnant and nonprenant recipients. Rectal palpation on day 35 to 70 after is an accurate and safe method of pregnancy diagnosis. Embryonic mortality in recipients may be associated with factors such as high environmental temperature and nutritional or lactational stress in early lactation period. Achievement of short calving interval requires concentrated management activity during the first 90 days following calving. Acceptable candidate for a recipient should be routinely vaccinated for infectious diseases. Proper nutritional programs according to NRC requirements and body condition scoring system for recipient cattles are vital to the ultimate success of an embryo transfer program.r program.

This study investigated the effects of childcare teachers' stress level and health status on burnout. We collected the data of 236 day care teachers who were working at day care facilities in the city and chose 220 after excluding improper responses. Data analysis was done using SPSS/WIN 21.0 program. The study results were as follows. The exhaustion of childcare teachers had a statistically significant positive correlation with stress levels, but a statistically significant negative correlation with health status. The description of the complete model was 47.6%(regulated $R^2=.476$) with psychological health(${\beta}=-.297$, p<.001), and social health(${\beta}=-.257$, p<.001), stress level(${\beta}=.247$, p<.001). Thus, reducing the exhaustion of childcare teachers will require the consistent development of a stress management program with the application of psychological and social health, as well as various institutional reforms on both governmental and civil levels and a search for practical solutions.
The study is designed to explore the effects of the Acceptance-Commitment Therapy (ACT) on Reserve Officer's Training Corps (ROTC)' stress, anxiety, and acceptance. Among the total of 82 ROTC, total of 12 participants whom showed over-average scores for stress and anxiety and agreed to participate in study were selected. The ACT group received twice-weekly, approximately 90 minute, total of 8 sessions of ACT program Both groups filled out Perceived Stress Scale, State-Trait Anxiety Inventory, and Acceptance and Action Questionnaire each before, at the end of, and 4 weeks after the program. The result showed that the group that participated in ACT program showed significant decrease in stress and anxiety, and although the overall acceptance behavior showed no significant change, the Acceptance - a subfactor of the scale - showed significant increase. This study suggest empirical evidence to prove that the ACT is effective in reducing stess and anxiety of ROTC. However, the study has only few ROTC participants and thus has limitations. Therefore it is crucial that future studies are conducted addressing this issue.
