This study has investigated shipping finance systems in Korea and China, and extracted negative factors based on it to propose a way to develop the shipping financial system in Korea for shipbuilding industry and marine transportation. From after the global financial crisis in 2008 to right before the Lehman Brothers Holdings bankruptcy, shipping finance has been dominated by the major industrialized countries in Europe. However, the weight point is moving to the countries in Asia region such as Korea, Japan, and China based on relatively strong banking system and low interests rate. This study focused on the alternatives the current situation that the starter of shipping finance among three countries in Northeast Asia, South Korea is facing China's challenges. In the paper, shipping finance in Korea presented its defectives such as the limits of ship financing, lack of professional workforces, ever-present foreign exchange risks, and lack of understandings of the parties. As the countermeasures of them, it proposed establishing professional institute for ship financing, training professionals in financial industry, raising foreign credentials of won, and continuing associations between the parties. Even though we are the first Asian country introduced ship funds, the ship funds growth in China shall be under our eyes while we keep systemic networks between shipping, ship building, and ship financing.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of characteristics of the online shopping mall website and the service quality factors required on the online service on the reliability and repurchase intention. Through this, the key customer response service and operation management strategy can be proposed for the growth of kidult online shopping mall which is continuously spreading. Also, implications for development direction can be suggested. For this purpose, the ES-QUAL and E-Rec-S-QUAL factors proposed by Parasuraman et al.(2005) were set as independent variables, as well as professionalism, diversity, playfulness, and personalization, and website reliability as a mediating factor, and repurchase intention as a dependent variable. For the analysis, a structured questionnaires survey was conducted to 200 domestic online shopping mall users. The main results are as follows. First, the professionalism, personalization in the characteristics, and service quality factors had positive effects on website reliability. Second, playfulness, personalization in the characteristics, and service quality factors had positive effects on repurchase intention. Third, website reliability had a positive effect on repurchase intention. Fourth, website reliability was found to mediate the relationship between predictive (independent) variables and dependent variables. The above results show that if a professional online shopping mall is equipped with online service quality and establish personalization through enhancing the professionalism, the online shopping mall can form a website reliability and expect to build continuous relationship with customers. In addition, implications can be suggested for future customer response service and operation management strategies.
In order for a strategy established by a company to be implemented efficiently, it must be supported by an appropriate organizational culture. This means that if a firm has an organizational culture suitable for strategy implementation, performance can be enhanced. This study divides competitive strategy into cost leadership strategy and product differentiation strategy, and organizational culture into hierarchical/rational culture and consensual/development culture. Based on 122 questionnaires collected through KOSPI listed manufacturing companies, the results of the empirical analysis on the effect of suitability between competitive strategy and organizational culture on performance by balanced scorecard perspective are summarized as follows. First, it shows that the cost leadership strategy and the hierarchical/rational culture are more fit. Specifically, The high suitability between the cost leadership strategy and the hierarchical/rational culture has a positive effect on the performance of the balanced scorecard perspective(excluding performance by learning and growth perspective). Second, The high suitability between the product differentiation strategy and the consensual/development culture has a positive effect on the performance of the balanced scorecard perspective. The results of this study suggest that it is important to form a corporate culture that can lead to changes in the beliefs and behaviors of organizational members in accordance with the competitive strategy in order to successfully implement the strategies established by the company.
Online reviews attract much attention because they play an essential role in consumer decision-making. Therefore, it is necessary to investigate the review attributes that affect the perceived helpfulness of consumers. However, most previous studies on the helpfulness of online reviews mainly focus on quantitative factors such as review volume and reviewer attributes. Recently, some studies have investigated the impact of review content and linguistic style matching on consumers' purchase decision-making. Those studies show that consumers consider additional review attributes when evaluating reviews in decision-making. To fill the research gap with existing literature, we investigated the impact of review content and linguistic style matching on review helpfulness. Moreover, this study investigated how the reviewers' expertise moderates the effect of the review content and linguistic style matching on the review helpfulness. The empirical results show that positive affective content has a negative effect on the review helpfulness. The negative affective content and linguistic style matching positively affect review helpfulness. Review expertise relieved the impact of negative affective content and linguistic style matching on review helpfulness. According to the mechanism confirmed in this study, online e-commerce companies can achieve corporate sales growth by identifying factors affecting review helpfulness and reflecting them in their marketing strategies.

The adoption of smart factories and smart manufacturing as strategies to enhance competitiveness and stimulate growth in the manufacturing sector is vital for a country's future competitiveness and industrial transformation. The government has consistently pursued smart manufacturing innovation policies starting with the Manufacturing Innovation 3.0 strategy in the Ministry of Industry. This study aims to identify policy areas for smart factories and smart manufacturing based on technical standards. Analyzing policy areas at the current stage where the establishment and support of domestic standards aligning with international technical standards are required is crucial. By prioritizing smart manufacturing process areas within the industry, policymakers can make well-informed decisions to advance smart manufacturing without blindly following international standardization in already well-established areas. To achieve this, the study utilizes a hierarchical analysis method including expert interviews and importance-performance analysis for the five major process areas. The findings underscore the importance of proactive participation in standardization for emerging technologies, such as data and security, instead of solely focusing on areas with extensive international standardization. Additionally, policymakers need to consider carbon emissions, energy costs, and global environmental challenges to address international trends in export and digital trade effectively.

It highlighted differences between companies aiming to avoid risks and build trust, and the general public's diverse concerns like investment options and working conditions. Key terms like 'greenwashing,' 'serious accidents,' and 'boycotts' show that many people doubt how companies handle ESG issues. The findings from this study set the foundation for a plan that serves key ESG groups, including businesses, government agencies, customers, and investors. This study also provide to guide the creation of more trustworthy and effective ESG strategies, helping to direct the discussion on ESG effectiveness.

Excellent FinTech firms create value by finding customer needs or addressing customer problems to provide customers with differentiated solutions through information technologies and organizational innovation capability. Accordingly, the survival and growth of FinTech firms rely on the innovation performance for solving customer problems. This study assumes that IT relatedness and entrepreneurial culture play a mediating role in the relationship between service orientation and innovation performance. To examine it, designed and demonstrated is a structural model from the perspective of dynamic organizational capability. The results show that IT relatedness and entrepreneurial culture play a mediating role between service orientation and innovation performance. Although IT relatedness and entrepreneurial culture were partial mediators in each divided model, the integration model showed there was no direct effect of service orientation on innovation performance. The practical implication is that FinTech companies need to understand customer problems accurately, set up appropriate service goals and align all strategies to achieve them. With these strategic alignments, higher innovation performance can be achieved by enabling IT resources and capabilities to be actively utilized in all functions of the organization and institutionalizing the entrepreneurial culture.
The purpose of this paper is to analyze the productivity change of the Korean shipbuilding industry between 2001-2008 and 2008-2015 by using MPI(Malmquist Productivity Index) to decompose the sources of total factor productivity growth into technical efficiency change, scale efficiency change, pure efficiency change, technical change. The empirical results are as follows. In the first half of the year (2001-2008), productivity increased by 2.8%, which was due to technological advances rather than technical efficiency. In the second half (2008-2015), productivity change declined by -3.4%. This is attributable to the technical efficiency deterioration and technological degeneration caused by a decrease in shipbuilding orders due to the global economic downturn after the global financial crisis and the rise of Chinese shipbuilding industry. In the first half of the period, productivity change was higher than in the second half. Especially, the difference between the two periods is attributed to the technical change and it was proved by statistical verification. The policy implications of this paper suggest that the government and each DMU need to develop new technologies to cope with changes in the global shipbuilding industry environment and strategies to eliminate inefficiencies in order to increase productivity in the future.
