Machine Learning and Deep Learning Models to Predict Income and Employment with Busan's Strategic Industry and Export (머신러닝과 딥러닝 기법을 이용한 부산 전략산업과 수출에 의한 고용과 소득 예측)

  • This paper analyzes the feasibility of using machine learning and deep learning methods to forecast the income and employment using the strategic industries as well as investment, export, and exchange rates. The decision tree, artificial neural network, support vector machine, and deep learning models were used to forecast the income and employment in Busan. The following were the main findings of the comparison of their predictive abilities. First, the decision tree models predict the income and employment well. The forecasting values for the income and employment appeared somewhat differently according to the depth of decision trees and several conditions of strategic industries as well as investment, export, and exchange rates. Second, since the artificial neural network models show that the coefficients are somewhat low and RMSE are somewhat high, these models are not good forecasting the income and employment. Third, the support vector machine models show the high predictive power with the high coefficients of determination and low RMSE. Fourth, the deep neural network models show the higher predictive power with appropriate epochs and batch sizes. Thus, since the machine learning and deep learning models can predict the employment well, we need to adopt the machine learning and deep learning models to forecast the income and employment.

  • The significance of hydrogen economy and production technology is steadily increasing. This research reviewed strategies for utilizing hydrogen production technology by combining a multi-layer model, strategic niche management, and the need factor for Hoship. The model was validated as a strategy considering hydrogen production technology and the transformation of the energy system. Using this, a new business model for hydrogen production technology was created, finding a strategic niche and sophisticating the technology. It also proposed ways to unlock the potential of hydrogen production technology and improve its efficiency. This work contributes to the commercialization of hydrogen production technology and its role in sustainable energy conversion. It proposes a new and effective approach for utilizing hydrogen production technology, going beyond its limitations to suggest a more efficient method. It is hoped that these results will be helpful to researchers in hydrogen energy, and serve as a reference for establishing ways to utilize hydrogen production technology.

Optimizing Distribution Channels: How Digital Marketing Communication Enhances Trust and Loyalty in Indonesian Banking

  • Purpose: This study explored how Indonesian banks utilize digital marketing communication strategies to optimize their distribution channels, leading to enhanced customer trust and brand loyalty. It examined specific methods such as sponsorships, social media, institutional partnerships, and mobile banking application features as key components of this digital distribution strategy. Research Design, Data, and Methodology: This study employed mixed methods design to assess digital distribution impacts. It involved 385 Jakarta bank customers. The sample size was determined using the Lemeshow formula. Results: The findings indicate that effective digital distribution strategies, including sponsorships, social media engagement, and user-friendly mobile banking applications, significantly enhance customer trust and loyalty. However, overly complex features may negatively impact loyalty. Conclusion: Thisstudy demonstrates a clear connection between the strategic use of digital marketing channels, such as sponsorships, social media, institutional partnerships, and mobile banking features, and the development of customer trust and loyalty. The results provide valuable insights to Indonesian banks in designing digital distribution strategies that prioritize building trust and fostering integrated customer interactions. Tailored digital marketing approachesthat optimize distribution can significantly enhance both trust and loyalty among Indonesian bank customers.

Exploring the Impact of Consumer Benefits and Altruistic Attitudes on Consumer Attributions and Donation Intentions (소비자 혜택 유형 및 타인지향 성향이 패션기업의 기부 활동에 대한 소비자 귀인과 기부 의도에 미치는 영향)

  • This experimental study aimed to investigate the determinants of fashion products donation intentions built on two consumer attributions: strategic and value-driven motives. While consumers may perceive that the underlying motivations of a firm's CSR initiatives are to sincerely help society, they may also believe that such initiatives are strategically motivated and that the firm only engages in CSR to improve its corporate image. Therefore, this study tested how extrinsic factors (consumer monetary and non-monetary- benefits for participating in a donation campaign) and intrinsic factors (i.e., altruistic attitudes) influenced perceived value- and strategic-driven motives, which in turn promote donation intentions. An analysis of 268 responses revealed that monetary benefits, such as offering discount coupons, increased consumers'perception of strategic motives, while non-monetary benefits, such as offering a ring and acertificate, enhanced their perception of value-driven motives. In addition, consumers who tended to have a positive altruistic attitude were more likely to perceive value-driven motives, and this orientation also directly increased donation intentions. These findings also confirmed that only value-driven motives promoted donation intentions. However, consumer benefits did not directly affect donation intentions. The findings of this study suggest valuable managerial implications as well as academic contributions.

  • The Strategic Environmental Impact Assessment(SEIA) in Korea has been introduced and implemented for 15 policy-level plans and 86 project-level plans since 2012. Lately an important issue of the Environmental Impact Assessment(EIA) policy has been emerged regarding the expansion of the policy-level plans subjected to SEIA. Thus, we propose the plans that need to be included in the system, compared with those subjected to the Strategic Environmental Assessment(SEA) enforced in the law or the guideline of 10 foreign counties, especially with those of Germany, France, Italy, the United Kingdom, and Netherlands. Specifically the study suggests that plans related to energy as well as land use, which are well known to cause potential environmental impacts and subjected to the federal-level SEA in those countries, should be the subject of SEIA.

  • Entering $21^{st}$ Century, the most critical keyword for companies is change and innovation. To achieve it, Obtaining right person becomes more and more important to those companies. It is not only supported by managers in business world but also by academia. However it is not easy to obtain right persons who have right experiences and knowledges. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to build strategic system which support help to hire and manage human resource. In this study, the suggested system is a type of strategic simulation game and job seeker can get several opportunities to be hired by joining the game. this system would help for companies to manage and hire right persons and there will be extra business opportunities. In conclusion, this system based on strategic simulation game would help human resource management and also promote job market and exchanging and trading companies' information and knowledge as well.

  • Regarding seaport operation, a higher quality performance and increasing competitiveness are main goals to adapt to the evolution of international trade. This paper discusses about the competition among Southern Vietnam seaports concerning the strategic positioning analysis, by applying BCG method. This technique describes the performance of business based on two variables such as relative market share and average growth rate. The finding shows up different performances of 21 seaports and how the strategic positioning of each port changes in the period 2007-2016. After analyzing, this research pointed out the growth in strategic positioning of ports in Cai Mep-Thi Vai complex, gradually replacing Ho Chi Minh City-Dong Nai-Binh Duong and becoming the transportation hub of Southern Vietnam. Also, The results obtained would be helpful for port administrators and operators to establish short and long-term strategies to improve competitiveness in the future.

  • The University of Northern iowa Rod Library has mission statement that a personalized learning environment founded on the strong liberal arts curriculum and to supporting an intellectually and culturally diverse community. The Rod Library has been developing the strategic plans by 5 years since 1987 Recently, the strategy has been faced need to measure of performance how much does make it up. This study developed the BSC model and the strategy map that analyze the strategic plan 2004-2009 of the University of Northern iowa Rod library and transfer the strategy into the four perspectives of BSC. In addition, this study presented the success performance indicators measuring the strategic goals of each perspectives and the cause-effect model driving the lead indicators of performance.

Balanced Strategy, Coordinating and Learning Mechanism, and Performance of Hospitals (의료기관의 균형적 경영전략, 조정 및 학습 기전의 경영성과에 대한 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to find out the differences and relationships among balanced strategy, coordinating and learning mechanism, and perceived performance of hospitals in Korea, and provide some directions to establish effective strategic management of hospital. Measure items on balanced strategy, coordinating and learning mechanism, and perceived performance were developed from previous studies. Questionnaire was sent and received through Internet site and e-mail during May, 2008. Data were collected from key informant in each institutions, and analyzed using frequency analysis, T-test, ANOVA, correlation and regression analysis. The major findings of this study were as follows: 1. The level of strategic selection and external learning mechanism of private hospital was lower than that of medical corporation, and others corporation hospital. 2. There was little difference between hospitals in metropolitan and those in small cities. 3. Hospitals that have under 100 beds were statistically lower level in strategic selection and external learning mechanism than hospitals has over 100 beds. 4. Formal coordinating and external learning mechanism, and foundation form(medical corporation) were significantly influenced on profitability from specialized field. 5. Strategic selection and adaptation mechanism were significantly affected on total profitability. 6. Strategic selection and external learning mechanism were significantly influenced on competitive power around its local market. Hospitals that are to be competitive by specialization should have to establish mechanism for management such as balanced strategy, coordinating and learning mechanism.

Consumer Responses toward Fashion Collaboration Brands -Effects of Collaboration Type and Brand Sensitivity- (패션 콜레보레이션 브랜드에 대한 소비자 반응 -콜레보레이션 유형과 브랜드 민감성 효과-)

  • This study examines the effects of collaboration type and brand sensitivity on consumer responses toward fashion collaboration brands. For this study, six brands of fashion collaboration were selected by collaboration types: collaboration with same industry (Uniqlo-Jill Sander, H&M-Sonia Rykiel, and Levis-Jean Paul Gaultier) and collaboration with different industries (LG-Prada, Samsung-Armani, and LG-Levis). A selfadministered questionnaire was developed based on the literature that mainly included brand sensitivity, consumer response (brand association, brand values, and purchase intention), and marketing strategic elements in the context of fashion collaboration. For collecting the data, respondents were asked to choose and assess a previously purchased brand. A total of 299 usable data responses were obtained from Korean consumers aged from 15 to 40 years old. The consumer response toward the fashion collaboration brand consisted of four factors: Emotional value, perceived quality, symbolic value, and brand association. The results showed that the collaboration type had the main effect on emotional value, symbolic value, and purchase intention. Brand sensitivity had the main effect on brand association, emotional value, symbolic value, and purchase intention. There was also an interaction effect on emotional value. With respect to strategic marketing elements, product differentiation, premium pricing, and value pricing had partially positive effect on consumer responses; however, promotion had a negative effect on consumer responses (e.g., perceived quality, and emotional value). In addition, collaboration type or brand sensitivity moderated the effect of strategic marketing elements on consumer responses. This study discussed a managerial implication to develop a strategic brand alliance to manage brand equity in the fashion marketplace.
