  • The analysis of a single stereo model is not sufficient in applying for some large structures, therefore the precise coordinate analysis photogrammetric block adjustment method should be considered. The distribution of control points has a great influence on the error characteristics of the block adjustment results. Thus, the unit model method is applied to the photogrammentric adjustment procedure to study error characterestics with different distributions of control points. Through this study, the second order polynomial equations about bridging distance and plane error are developed in block adjustment of terrestrial photogrammetry. Comparing the block adjustment method and a single model method, root mean square error of the block adjustment method is 0.44mm, and a single model method is 1.06mm.

  • Recently, various tries to apply ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) into underwater are being developed. However, due to underwater environment uniqueness, the additional problem must be taken into account when designing an ROV for the inspection of the underwater structure. This is because a GPS-based information method cannot be applied, and the obtainable image is also dependent on the turbidity. Also, it is necessary to be able to satisfy waterproof and operating speeds in consideration of most practical application environments. This paper describes the design results of the ROV system for underwater structure inspection considering the above problems. The designed system applied INS / DVL for location recognition and was configured to support 3D mapping and stereo camera-based image information using sonar depending on visibility. To satisfy the waterproof, a pressure vessel using a composite material was applied. And over-actuated system using eight thrusters to maintain a stable posture and operating speed was applied also. The designed system was verified by structural analysis and flow analysis also.

  • Extracting unique features from an image is a fundamental issue when making panorama images, acquiring stereo images, recognizing objects and analyzing images. Generally, the task to compare features to other images requires much computing time because some features are formed as a vector which has many elements. In this paper, we present a method that compares features after reducing the feature dimension extracted from an image using PCA(principal component analysis) and sorting the features in a linked list. SURF(speeded up robust features) is used to describe image features. When the dimension reduction method is applied, we can reduce the computing time without decreasing the matching accuracy. The proposed method is proved to be fast and robust in experiments.

  • The Osaeg hotspring (long. $128^{\circ}$ 56'E, tat. $37^{\circ}$ 06'N) located in the northester part of Kangwon-do, Korea. The pH value of the hot spring water is 8.31, and the EC, $SO_4$, F and Na are 196 ${\mu}\textrm{s}$/cm, 10.88 mg/L, 8.19 mg/L, and 37.07 mg/L, respectively. The ocherous precipitates are precipitated on the stream bottom of Osaeg hot spring drainage. X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and stereo-microscope were used to analyze the precipitates. X-ray diffraction analysis shows that the precipitates consist mainly of poorly crystalline materials and messelite. Many spherical and rod-shaped bacteria-like forms were observed in the precipitates.

  • The alumina nano powders synthesized by levitational gas condensation (LGC) method were applied to catalyst in manufacturing process of Hanzsch reaction for Nitrendipine. The L-tartaric acid on the surface is carried out with participation of carbonyl fragments, O-H, C-H bonds which affects stereo selectivity, yield on the reagents positively. From the analysis of the IR-spectroscopy, the carbonyl fragments, O-H, and C-H bond were created by the catalytic reaction. From the analysis of the rR-spectroscopy, the carbonyl fragments, O-H, and C-H bond were created by the catalytic reaction. The newly created bonds made a chiral center on the final product.

  • When a single source of multimedia contents is distributed to multiple reproduction devices, the audio and video contents require synchronous play for multi-channel stereo sound and lip-synchronization. The multimedia system in vehicle, especially, has researched to move to wireless environments from legacy wired environments. This paper proposes the advanced algorithm for providing synchronized services of real-time multimedia traffic in IEEE 802.11 WLANs [1]. For these, we implement the advanced IEEE 1588 Precision Time Protocol [2] and the environments for simulation. Also, we estimate and analysis performance of the algorithm, then we experiment and analysis after the porting of algorithm in wireless LAN devices (Linksys wrt-350n AP network device) to characterize timing synchronization accuracy.

  • In recent years, the developments in 3D technologies have initiated the commercialization of 3D services on mobile devices. For this purpose, stereoscopic 3D technology is used, which enables 3D TV on mobile devices including smartphone with glasses-free 3D viewing. As a result, the issues related with stereo imaging have been spotlighted greatly. Especially, three MPEG coding standards are provided for mobile 3D services, namely H.264/AVC with and without SEI message and H.264/MVC. In this respect, this paper presents an overview of developments in stereoscopic technologies for mobile devices to gain some perspective on the changes and progress. in this paper, we verified the availability of android based stereoscipic 3D technology related with mobile 3D TV and Smartphone with special emphasis on 3D video format and 3D features by various technollogy characteristics analysis.

  • Both geophysical and geospatial data provide important information in the establishment of the optimal telecommunication systems especially in the mobile telecommunication environment. The objective of this study is to utilize geophysical properties and geospatial information in the analysis of the telecommunication environment through point-to-point wave property modeling. Geophysical properties associated with wave propagation parameters of the earth surface were analyzed based on hierarchical land classification using Landsat ETM+ and IKONOS images. Three-dimensional geospatial information was obtained by processing stereo aerial images. The results show that the accurate geospatial information and reliable geosphysical property of the surface improve the prediction of receiving power of the receivers located near corners of the buildings where diffractions occur. The wave property model developed from accurate telecommunication environment could be applied to optimal cell planning and delay time analysis.

  • Stereophotogrammetry is used to extract spatial information of an object by constructing a stereo-image from two or more photos. In this study, stereophotogrammetry was adopted for analyzing blast fragmentation of rock blocks in a quarry site. 2D image processing and stereophotogrammetry were applied to the fragmentation analysis of rock blocks horizontally scattered in a laboratory, and their results were compared with physical measurements using a water tank. Fragmentation of rock muckpiles was estimated in laboratory and field tests by using the stereophotogrammetry and statistical analysis.

  • Food and feeding habits of large cyprinid fishes (Labeobarbus intermedius, Labeobarbus nedgia, and Labeo forskalii) had been investigated in the upper Blue Nile River, Ethiopia. Four sampling sites were selected and specimens were sampled during the post-rainy (November 2016) and dry (March 2017) seasons by gillnets of 6 cm, 8 cm, 10 cm, 12 cm, and 14 cm mesh sizes. Totally 401 fishes were collected and about 30.4% (122) of the samples were documented with empty guts and 279 (69.6%) of them were with non-empty guts. The whole contents of all non-empty gut specimens were taken, labeled, and preserved using a 5% formaldehyde solution for further analysis. In the laboratory, gut contents were examined and identified using compound and stereo microscopes. The relative importance of different food items in the diet compositions was analyzed using a frequency of occurrence and volumetric analysis. During the post-rainy season, insects and phytoplankton were mostly ingested as food items. However, during the dry season, phytoplankton was the most important food item in the diet of all cyprinid fishes of the river. Based on current study results, L. intermedius and L. nedgia might be omnivores in their diet but Labeobarbus forskalii seemed to be detritivorous.
