퍼지논리를 이용한 직류전동기용 가변구조 위치제어시스템 (A New Variable-Structure Position Control for DC Motor Using Fuzzy Logic)

  • This paper presents a new dc-motor position control approached by Variable Structure System. In order to eliminate a steady-state position error, we propose a switching function composed of position error, velocity, and current ripple. The switching function has an advantage compared to other ones. To determine the control signal voltage, we use a fuzzy logic method. The simulation results show expected performances.

Clustering and Recommendation for Semantic Web Service in Time Series

  • Promoted by cloud technology and new websites, plenty and variety of Web services are emerging in the Internet. Meanwhile some Web services become outdated even obsolete due to new versions, and a normal phenomenon is that some services work well only with other services of older versions. These laggard or improper services are lowering the performance of the composite service they involved in. In addition, using current technology to identify proper semantic services for a composite service is time-consuming and inaccurate. Thus, we proposed a clustering method and a recommendation method to deal with these problems. Clustering technology is used to classify semantic services according to their topics, functionality and other aspects from plenty of services. Recommendation technology is used to predict the possible preference of a composite service, and recommend possible component services to the composite service according to the history information of invocations and similar composite services. The experiments show that our clustering method with the help of Ontology and TF/IDF technology is more accurate than others, and our recommendation method has less average error than others in the series of missing rate.

행열변현에 의한 통신망의 신뢰도 계정에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Reliability Evaluation of Communication Networks by Matrix Transformation)

  • 본 논문에서는 통신방의 2-상태 스취칭 실패함수를 구하기 위한 알고리즘과 단섭간 신뢰도 계성방법을 제시하였다. 통신망을 그래프로 모형화하고, 이 그래프에 대한 일련의 행열변환을 함으로서 모든 통신통로를 차단하는 최초컷-\ulcornerV 행열을 구하였으며 최소 컷-\ulcornerV행열로부터 2-상태 스위칭 실패함수를 구하였다. 또한 2-상태 스위칭 실패함수에 확률변수를 대응시켜 통신망의 단점간 신뢰도를 계정하였다. 제안된 알고리즘을 설명하기 위하여 몇가지 예를 보였으며 복잡하고 규모가 큰 망에 대한 단점간 신뢰도를 계정하기 위해서 전산기 프로그램을 제시하였다.

Energy-Aware Virtual Data Center Embedding

  • As one of the most significant challenges in the virtual data center, the virtual data center embedding has attracted extensive attention from researchers. The existing research works mainly focus on how to design algorithms to increase operating revenue. However, they ignore the energy consumption issue of the physical data center in virtual data center embedding. In this paper, we focus on studying the energy-aware virtual data center embedding problem. Specifically, we first propose an energy consumption model. It includes the energy consumption models of the virtual machine node and the virtual switch node, aiming to quantitatively measure the energy consumption in virtual data center embedding. Based on such a model, we propose two algorithms regarding virtual data center embedding: one is heuristic, and the other is based on particle swarm optimization. The second algorithm provides a better solution to virtual data center embedding by leveraging the evolution process of particle swarm optimization. Finally, experiment results show that our proposed algorithms can effectively save energy while guaranteeing the embedding success rate.

Dark-state Color Shift and Gray Scale Inversion in an In-plane Switching Liquid Crystal Display Device

  • Off-axis color shift in the dark state and gray scale inversion in an in-plane switching (IPS) liquid crystal display (LCD) device were investigated. Analyses were performed using the Poincar$\acute{e}$ sphere representation. The results show that color shift in the dark state and gray scale inversion in an IPS LCD can be reduced by using a biaxial film. We confirmed the extent of these improvements by measuring the optical performance of a fabricated IPS LCD.

Postbuckling strength of an axially compressed elastic circular cylinder with all symmetry broken

  • Axially compressed circular cylinders repeat symmetry-breaking bifurcation in the postbuckling region. There exist stable equilibria with all symmetry broken in the buckled configuration, and the minimum postbuckling strength is attained at the deep bottom of closely spaced equilibrium branches. The load level corresponding to such postbuckling stable solutions is usually much lower than the initial buckling load and may serve as a strength limit in shell stability design. The primary concern in the present paper is to compute these possible postbuckling stable solutions at the deep bottom of the postbuckling region. Two computational approaches are used for this purpose. One is the application of individual procedures in computational bifurcation theory. Path-tracing, pinpointing bifurcation points and (local) branch-switching are all applied to follow carefully the postbuckling branches with the decreasing load in order to attain the target at the bottom of the postbuckling region. The buckled shell configuration loses its symmetry stepwise after each (local) branch-switching procedure. The other is to introduce the idea of path jumping (namely, generalized global branch-switching) with static imperfection. The static response of the cylinder under two-parameter loading is computed to enable a direct access to postbuckling equilibria from the prebuckling state. In the numerical example of an elastic perfect circular cylinder, stable postbuckling solutions are computed in these two approaches. It is demonstrated that a direct path jump from the undeformed state to postbuckling stable equilibria is possible for an appropriate choice of static perturbations.

비선형 시스템에 대한 퍼지 도달 법칙을 가지는 가변 구조 제어 (Variable structure control with fuzzy reaching law method for nonlinear systems)

  • In this paper, variable structure control(VSC) based on reaching law method with fuzzy inference for nonlinear systems is proposed. The reaching law means the reaching condition which forces an initial state of system to reach switching surface in finite time, and specifies the dynamics of a desired switching function. Since the conventional reaching law has fixed coefficients, the chattering can be existed largely in sliding mode. In the design of a proposed fuzzy reaching law, we fuzzify RP(representative point)'s orthogonal distance to switching surface and RP's distance the origin of the 2-dimensional space whose coordinates are the error and the error rate. The coefficients of the reaching law are varied appropriately by the fuzzy inference. Hence the state of system in reaching mode reaches fastly switching surface by the large values of reaching coefficients and the chattering is reduced in sliding mode by the small values of those. And the effectiveness of the proposed fuzzy reaching law method is showen by the simulation results of the control of a two link robot manipulator.

A Parallel Hybrid Soft Switching Converter with Low Circulating Current Losses and a Low Current Ripple

  • A new parallel hybrid soft switching converter with low circulating current losses during the freewheeling state and a low output current ripple is presented in this paper. Two circuit modules are connected in parallel using the interleaved pulse-width modulation scheme to provide more power to the output load and to reduce the output current ripple. Each circuit module includes a three-level converter and a half-bridge converter sharing the same lagging-leg switches. A resonant capacitor is adopted on the primary side of the three-level converter to reduce the circulating current to zero in the freewheeling state. Thus, the high circulating current loss in conventional three-level converters is alleviated. A half-bridge converter is adopted to extend the ZVS range. Therefore, the lagging-leg switches can be turned on under zero voltage switching from light load to full load conditions. The secondary windings of the two converters are connected in series so that the rectified voltage is positive instead of zero during the freewheeling interval. Hence, the output inductance of the three-level converter can be reduced. The circuit configuration, operation principles and circuit characteristics are presented in detail. Experiments based on a 1920W prototype are provided to verify the effectiveness of the proposed converter.

  • A Static Induction Thyristor (SI-Thyristor) has a great potential as power semiconductor switch for pulsed power or high voltage applications with fast turn-on switching time and high switching stress endurance (di/dt, dV/dt). However, due to direct commutation between gate driver and SI-Thyristor, it is difficult to design optimal gate driver at the aspect of impedance matching for fast gate current driving into internal SI-Thyristor. Thus, to penetrate fast positive gate current into steady off state of the SI-Thyristor, it is proposed and proceeded the internal impedance calculation of the SI-Thyristor at steady off state with the gate driver while switching conditions that are indicated applied gate voltage, $V_{GK}$ and applied high voltage across anode and cathode, $V_{AK}$.

Steady-State Analysis of ZVS and NON-ZVS Full-Bridge Inverters with Asymmetrical Control for Induction Heating Applications

  • This paper presents a steady-state operation analysis of full-bridge series-resonant inverters focusing on the distorted load current due to low-quality-factor resonant circuits in induction heating and other applications. The regions of operation based on the zero-voltage switching (ZVS) and non-zero-voltage switching (NON-ZVS) operations of the asymmetrical voltage-cancellation control technique are identified. The effects of a distorted load current under a wide range of output powers are also analyzed for achieving a precise ZVS operating region. An experimental study is performed with a 1kW prototype. Simulation and experimental studies have confirmed the validity of the proposed method. An efficiency comparison between the variable frequency method and the conventional fixed-frequency method is provided.
