  • Orthodontic closure of old, edentulous spaces in the mandibular posterior region is a major challenge. In this report, we describe a method of orthodontic closure of edentulous spaces in the mandibular posterior region accelerated by piezoelectric decortication and alveolar ridge expansion. Combined piezosurgical and orthodontic treatments were used to close 14- and 15-mm-wide spaces in the mandibular left and right posterior areas, respectively, of a female patient, aged 18 years and 9 months, diagnosed with skeletal Class III malocclusion, hypodontia, and polydiastemas. After the piezoelectric decortication, segmental and full-arch mechanics were applied in the orthodontic phase. Despite some extent of root resorption and anchorage loss, the edentulous spaces were closed, and adequate function and esthetics were regained without further restorative treatment. Alveolar ridge expansion-assisted orthodontic space closure seems to be an effective and relatively less-invasive treatment alternative for edentulous spaces in the mandibular posterior region.

  • In this paper, a new class of open sets, namely ${\gamma}^*$-pre-open sets was introduced and its basic properties were studied. Moreover a new type of topology ${\tau}_{{\gamma}p^*}$ was generated using ${\gamma}^*$-pre-open sets and characterized the resultant topological space (X, ${\tau}_{{\gamma}p^*}$) as ${\gamma}^*$-pre-$T_{\frac{1}{2}}$ space.

  • In this paper, we study some classes of spaces determined by closure-like operators $[{\cdot}]_s$, $[{\cdot}]_c$ and $[{\cdot}]_k$ etc. which are wider than the class of $Fr{\acute{e}}chet-Urysohn$ spaces or the class of sequential spaces and related spaces. We first introduce a WADS space which is a generalization of a sequential space. We show that X is a WADS and k-space iff X is sequential and every WADS space is C-closed and obtained that every WADS and countably compact space is sequential as a corollary. We also show that every WAP and countably compact space is countably sequential and obtain that every WACP and countably compact space is sequential as a corollary. And we show that every WAP and weakly k-space is countably sequential and obtain that X is a WACP and weakly k-space iff X is sequential as a corollary.

  • In this paper, we introduce the concept of weakly-ultra-${\alpha}{\psi}$-separation of two sets in a topological space using ${\alpha}{\psi}$-open sets. The ${\alpha}{\psi}$-closure and the ${\alpha}{\psi}$-kernel are defined in terms of this weakly ultra-${\alpha}{\psi}$-separation. We also investigate some of the properties of the ${\alpha}{\psi}$-kernel and the ${\alpha}{\psi}$-closure.

  • We introduce a fuzzy g-closure operator induced by a fuzzy topological space in view of the definition of Sostak [13]. We show that it is a fuzzy closure operator. Furthermore, it induces a fuzzy topology which is finer than a given fuzzy topology. We investigate some properties of fuzzy g-closure operators.

  • In this paper, we introduce the concept of bipolar soft supra topological space and provide a characterization of the related concepts of bipolar soft supra closure and bipolar soft supra interior. We also establish a connection between bipolar soft supra topology and bipolar soft topology. Additionally, we present the concept of bipolar soft supra continuous mapping and examine the concept of bipolar soft supra compact topological space. A related result concerning the image of the bipolar soft supra compact space is proved. Finally, we identify the concepts of disconnected (connected) and strongly disconnected (strongly connected) space and derive several results linking them together. Relationships among these concepts are clarified with the aid of examples.

  • This paper addresses the problem of computing grasp stability of the object for two-fingered robots in two dimensions. The concepts of force-closure and dual space are introduced and discussed in novel point of view, and we transform friction cones in a robot work space to line segments in a dual space. We newly define a grasp stability index by calculating intersection condition between line segments in dual space. Moreover, we propose a method to find the optimal grasp points of the given object by comparing the defined grasp stability index. Its validity and effectiveness are investigated and verified by simulations for quadrangle object and elliptic objects.

  • This paper introduces semiopen and semiclosed soft sets in soft topological spaces and then these are used to generalize the notions of interior and closure. Further, we study the properties of semiopen soft sets, semiclosed soft sets, semi interior and semi closure of soft set in soft topological spaces. Various forms of soft functions, like semicontinuous, irresolute, semiopen and semiclosed soft functions are introduced and characterized including those of soft semicompactness, soft semiconnectedness. Besides, soft semiseparation axioms are also introduced and studied.

  • In this paper, we introduce the concept of quasi-fuzzy extremally disconnectedness in fuzzy bitopological space, which is a generalization of fuzzy extremally disconnectedness due to Ghosh [5] in fuzzy topological space and invetstigate some of its properties using the concepts of quasi-semi-closure, quasi-$\theta$-closure and related notions in a fuzzy bitopological settings.

  • In this paper, we introduce some new properties of a topological space which are respectively generalizations of $Fr\'{e}chet$-Urysohn property. We show that countably AP property is a sufficient condition for a space being countable tightness, sequential, weakly first countable and symmetrizable, to be ACP, $Fr\'{e}chet-Urysohn$, first countable and semimetrizable, respectively. We also prove that countable compactness is a sufficient condition for a countably AP space to be countably $Fr\'{e}chet-Urysohn$. We then show that a countably compact space satisfying one of the properties mentioned here is sequentially compact. And we show that a countably compact and countably AP space is maximal countably compact if and only if it is $Fr\'{e}chet-Urysohn$. We finally obtain a sufficient condition for the ACP closure operator $[{\cdot}]_{ACP}$ to be a Kuratowski topological closure operator and related results.
