  • Recently, Web has arisen large amount of data that to the development of the network and the Internet. In order to process it appeared that Big Data technology. Big Data technologies have been studied aiming a multifaceted and accurate analysis using existing regular data and a variety of data social data. But social data does not have the expertise and objectivity. And such manipulation and concealment and distortion of information have been raised troubling. Thus, this paper proposes for trust big data platform and will be described in detail. The big data platform proposed in this paper consists of data refiner, Data Analyzer, co-truster, visualizer, searcher, etc.

The Meaning of Resell Activities Using the Online Second-hand Platform (온라인 중고 거래 플랫폼을 활용한 리셀의 의미)

  • Reselling, an activity of purchasing high-scarcity products and selling them back at high prices, has gained popularity among those in their 20s and 30s in recent years. This study examines the resell activity process of the MZ generation using the online second-hand platform and its inherent meaning. Interviews with 15 participants in their 20s and 30s showed that respondents have four purchase stages: being influenced by social media, collecting and comparing information using various social media, purchasing efforts, and post-purchase behavior. The research derived three inherent meanings of resell activities: (1) means of self-presentation and differentiation, (2) confirmation of investment skills and aptitude to lead fashion trends, and (3) pleasure of consumption. Respondents indicated meeting self-satisfaction through public selfies on social media. In addition, they emphasized the empirical pleasure during the buying journey by collecting product information, comparing prices, and negotiating with buyers. Our findings confirm the spread of resell activities from minority groups to enthusiastic youth. This study is significant for focusing on fashion products that attract attention in the resell market and examining the respondents' consumption experiences from various perspectives.

  • As the result of this research, the user platform, which reflects the latest interface technology, supports the ideal interface environment in a future city through using the data from social media. The goal of this research is constructing the user interface platform to approach to the data in an easier and practical condition of the interface environment smart space of the future intelligent city for user. It constructs the main module to organize the platform. Interface user platform modules, which were all based on visualization of service, are constructed by visualization agents, visualization social networks, visualization icons, visualization services, visual data, visual maps and visual classes. In this research, by the variety of services including delivering information, to find the interface environment for the proper interface technology, this research suggests "Interface User Platform" as the result.

Policy Advices for the Success of Digital Platform Government in South Korea

  • South Korea is now recognized as a world leader in the field of digital government thanks to a president who had insight in the field of e-Government more than 20 years ago. Today, many countries around the world are establishing various strategies to cope with the great digital transformation beyond the industrial society and the information society. The Korean government is also establishing and promoting digital government policies to respond to such a global digital transformation. In South Korea, the digital platform government policy began in 2022. Therefore, it is an early stage of policy formation, and many details are not well known yet. Recently, the Korean government announced the vision, three goals, and five strategies for realizing a digital platform government. And specific digital platform government projects that can be implemented are selected. In order to successfully implement a digital platform government, the following three policies should be prioritized. First, the digital platform government should be approached from the perspective of total government innovation, not industry revival. Second, the political perspective should be excluded from ICT policy. Third, the vision and strategy of the digital platform government should be established and clearly presented to the public. And based on this, strong governance should be formed and strongly promoted centered on the leadership of the president.

A Mixed-Method Approach to Explore the Motivations and Constraints of Kiosks Consumers

  • Providing services using kiosks is actively carried out between suppliers and consumers. These service processes have recently begun to play a dominant role in transactions. However, previous self-service technology (SST) studies or kiosks have not fully reflected the changing environment surrounding these different technologies. To cover the updated business environments, we combined qualitative and quantitative research methods. Through qualitative research and a review of previous studies, the variables emphasized as motivations and constraints for kiosks use and those that can be newly illuminated were selected for this study. We then applied the variables to the research model to assess their influence. In terms of the motivations for using kiosks, the results suggest that perceived usefulness and compatibility as service quality, forced use, and perceived service providers' efficiency as provider polices, absorptive capacity, and habit as an individual characteristic and social influence as a subjective norm have a significant effect on the attitude toward kiosks. In terms of constraints, difficult to use and need for interaction predicts the attitude toward kiosks. Attitude toward kiosks, perceived behavioral control, and social influence are directly related to the intention to use kiosks. Lastly, intention to use kiosks plays a significant role as an antecedent of revisit intention. Using these empirical results, we propose both academic and practical implications for future kiosks use.

Case Study on Application of Social Learning in Workforce Education (소셜러닝을 적용한 직업교육 성과분석 사례연구)

  • Social learning is a form to support learners' active engagement and participation in learning with other learners and instructors by using social media. The concept of social learning should be considered beyond the simple use of social media for learning or education. This study aims to apply the understanding of social learning based on the theoretical background of social theories of learning in designing and developing a program for workforce education. As a pilot test, the newly developed social learning program was implemented to 302 employees with the title of 'Innovative Display Strategy for POP". 138 employees successfully completed the social learning course that focuses on delivering contents in time-line based platform, supporting interactions among students, and working effectively through small smart devices in their workplace. The results were derived from three kinds of data-source: learner's log data, their final evaluation score, and the survey to measure the satisfaction about social learning. Finally the implications for social learning were discussed in terms of the program revision and directions for future application.

A Hadoop-based Multimedia Transcoding System for Processing Social Media in the PaaS Platform of SMCCSE

  • Previously, we described a social media cloud computing service environment (SMCCSE). This SMCCSE supports the development of social networking services (SNSs) that include audio, image, and video formats. A social media cloud computing PaaS platform, a core component in a SMCCSE, processes large amounts of social media in a parallel and distributed manner for supporting a reliable SNS. Here, we propose a Hadoop-based multimedia system for image and video transcoding processing, necessary functions of our PaaS platform. Our system consists of two modules, including an image transcoding module and a video transcoding module. We also design and implement the system by using a MapReduce framework running on a Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS) and the media processing libraries Xuggler and JAI. In this way, our system exponentially reduces the encoding time for transcoding large amounts of image and video files into specific formats depending on user-requested options (such as resolution, bit rate, and frame rate). In order to evaluate system performance, we measure the total image and video transcoding time for image and video data sets, respectively, under various experimental conditions. In addition, we compare the video transcoding performance of our cloud-based approach with that of the traditional frame-level parallel processing-based approach. Based on experiments performed on a 28-node cluster, the proposed Hadoop-based multimedia transcoding system delivers excellent speed and quality.

  • To identify characteristics of social network farm game based on smart phone platform, this study analyzed how social network play experience connects with the space of farm game. The play experience of social network farm game based on smart phone platform is mainly composed of three modules for cultivating, placing environment, extending space. This study categorized space for external perspective space, internal perspective space, symbolic design space according to space experience theory and researched play experience in these spaces. In farm game players perceive space by fixed point of view, and make their own space a standard unit for reinterpreting and rearranging modules. In this process the space played subjective role not only background to bring co-work play is essential in social network game.

Research on Sustainable Financial Inclusion and Social Impact : Analyzing Credit Thin Filer Data from U.S. Online Loan Platform (지속가능한 금융포용성과 소셜임팩트 증진 제언 연구: 미국 온라인 대출 플랫폼 내 중저신용자 데이터를 중심으로)

  • This study analyses customer data from a US online lending platform to empirically document the discriminatory treatment that low- and middle-income borrowers face in financial markets. Researchers are using financial data from nearly 2.93 million loans between 2007~2020 of the Lending Club on the open-source Kaggle platform. We find that thin-filers borrowers, especially those with lower credit scores, receive loans at higher interest rates. This discriminatory treatment undermines financial inclusion and has the potential to increase social inequality. The significance of this research is that it sheds substantial light on the problem of inequality in financial markets and, based on the findings, suggests concrete measures to ensure equitable access to finance for all customers and enhance sustainable financial inclusion. In doing so, we propose a shift towards enhancing the social responsibility of institutions.

  • The rapid changes in consumption patterns and the manufacturing industry environment are both a threat and an opportunity for small and medium-sized enterprises in Korea because it lacks innovative capacity compared to large conglomerates. In this new manufacturing environment, social manufacturing is an innovative business model that can create new business opportunities for these companies. However, there are not that many proven models of platforms where products are created jointly with consumers. Some conceptual analysis of the success factors and operation strategy of co-creation platforms have started to be released but there are almost no empirical studies conducted on this matter today. In this study, the social manufacturing platform business concept and its components were studied; various factors that affect the willingness to participate in consumer-led co-creation platforms were considered; the factors were surveyed on potential consumers; a study was carried out to analyze the relationship of these factors; a model of these factors were set up and proven.
