  • In this paper we propose smooth nonparametric estimator of Mean Residual Life(MRL) based on a complete sample. This estimator is constructed using estimator of cumulative failure rate which is derived as the maximum likelihood estimate of cumulative failure rate in the class of distributions which have piecewise linear failure rate functions between each pair of observations. We derive the asymptotic properties of the our estimator. The proposed estimator is compared with previously known estimator by Monte Carlo study.

  • We obtain the approximation order to a smooth function on a compact subset of $\mathbb{R}$ by generalized translation networks. In our study, the activation function is infinitely many times continuously differentiable function but it does not have special properties around ${\infty}$ and $-{\infty}$ like a sigmoidal activation function. Using the Jackson's Theorem, we get the approximation order. Especially, we obtain the approximation order by a neural network with a fixed threshold.

  • This paper uses genetic algorithm (GA) for optimal control. GA can find optimal control profile, but the profile may be oscillating feature. To make profile smooth, fuzzy genetic algorithm (FGA) is proposed. GA with fuzzy logic techniques for optimal control can make optimal control profile smooth. We describe the Fuzzy Genetic Algorithm that uses a fuzzy knowledge based system to control GA search. Result from the simulation example shows that GA can find optimal control profile and FGA makes a performance improvement over a simple GA.

  • The present communication deals with development of ten novel N-Phenyl-3-Pyridin-2-yl imino derivatives as vascular smooth muscle relaxants. The derivatives were prepared and optimized using pocket modelling and pharmacophore modelling. The 4 hydroxy substituted derivatives are showed potent activity comparable to the sildenafil.

  • Let E be a smooth Banach space. Suppose T:$E \rightarrow E$ is a strongly accretive map. It is proved that each of the two well known fixed point iteration methods (the Mann and ishikawa iteration methods), under suitable conditions converges strongly to a solution of the equation $T_x=f$.

  • In this paper, we construct a new exotic smooth 4-manifold X which is homeomorphic, but not diffeomorphic, to ${\mathbb{C}}\mathbb{P}^2{\sharp}13\overline{\mathbb{C}\mathbb{P}}^2$. Moreover the manifold X has vanishing Seiberg-Witten invariants for all $Spin^c$-structures of X and has no symplectic structure.

  • We prove some sharp extremal distance results for functions in various spaces of analytic functions on bounded strictly pseudoconvex domains with smooth boundary. Also, we obtain atomic decompositions in multifunctional Bloch and weighted Bergman spaces of analytic functions on strictly pseudoconvex domains with smooth boundary, which extend known results in the classical case of a single function.

  • In this paper, we introduce the concepts of ([r, s], [t, u])-interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy alpha generalized closed and open sets in the interval-valued intuitionistic smooth topological space and ([r, s], [t, u])-interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy alpha generalized continuous mappings and then investigate some of their properties.

  • Let f be a smooth G map from a nonsingular real algebraic G variety to an equivariant Grassmann variety. We use some G vector bundle theory to find a necessary and sufficient condition to approximate f by an entire rational G map. As an application we algebraically approximate a smooth G map between G spheres when G is an abelian group.
